Salma tells us all about growing up in a very strict religious household and the ways in which it effected her sexuality and self-view. She tells us all about ending her relationship with people pleasing and how she pivoted to self-pleasing, with the help of therapy, comedy, and a few sex toys. She regales us with many stories of her first time experiencing all things sexual in her late 20s-early 30s and this episode is all of the things Salma is: funny, interesting, endearing, and just gets better and better as time goes on.  TW: Eating disorders, body image issues, religious trauma, sexual assault/ sexual violence, blood   Love How C*m? -- RATE, REVIEW & SUBSCRIBE  Follow Salma at @Salma.Hindy Follow / DM us at @HowCumPodcast @RemyKassimir Support the podcast/ get extras on Patreon Check out our website for extra info & merch!

[TW//Eating disorders, Bulimia, Binge Eating, Anxiety, Body Image, Suicide] 1.25 million people in the UK struggle with eating disorders such as bulimia and binge eating. Eating disorders have the highest mortality rate of all mental health conditions. Suicide is the major cause of death, with those suffering with bulimia 7 x more likely to commit suicide.  Today I welcome Kelly Wenham who is an accomplished actress, voice over artist, writer and director. At the age of 16, she landed the role of Jess Buckley on the smash hit ITV drama 'Where The Heart Is' which she appeared as a series regular for 4 years and has been working in the industry ever since. Kelly's journey starts as a teenager landing a modelling opportunity in Japan that triggers a slow and dangerous decent into chronic bulimia that nearly takes her life on more than one occasion. Kelly spends her twenties in and out of recovery desperately looking for a solution that seems out of reach. She never gives up despite her struggles and finally finds a solution that works for her to break free. Kelly is a bulimia survivor, a hero and an inspiration. I cannot thank Kelly enough for opening up so honestly to help others. *TW - Eating disorders and suicide are talked about in this episode*In this episode we head over across the ditch and I chat with Nicole from Governors Bay New Zealand - The founder and owner of Lulah Collective. Lulah Co. is the creative expression of Nicoles dreams and values. It's a manifestation of her devotion to supporting other women who have walked the same path she has, the journey towards true self-love and body positivity. She wanted to create an activewear brand that created a space for women to love their fuller figures through joyful movement and forged some fiery change in the plus-size fashion industry! Why? It's her dream to empower women to come to a space of love within and for their bodies. Nicole struggled with this for years, and  still can be wobbly some days. When she was in a bigger body she was teaching yoga , but wasn't able to easily find a brand that catered to her curves....let alone nourished her soul. At this time all she saw was women who looked nothing like her "shredding" it at the gym in an attempt to prep their summer bodies. She thought that it would make her happy to look like them. She lost 50kg and life was easier. People treated her differently, the world was kinder... but the joy of this was fleeting as she still felt insecure and unhappy in her body. In the last year her body shape has changed again, becoming softer and more curvy. Nicole felt panicked and confused what body shape and size would ever make her feel happy and safe? This part of her story is what has brought her to the body acceptance and positivity movements- of learning to love her body through thick and thin. Of choosing moving her body to feel good, not to conform to beauty standard and fitspo bullshit. She see that the majority of activewear brands, though becoming increasingly size-inclusive, still advocate that movement is a means to change your size or shape. The movement towards a more body positive activewear industry is happening slowly, but why not speed things up? Nicole wants to see body diversity represented by more activewear brands. She wants to see size-inclusive brands that go beyond a size 26 and most of all, she wants to see a strong body-positive message.Lulah Collective is your size-inclusive and totally body-positive active-wear brand designed by curvy babes, for curvy babes. They empower gals to move their bodies from a place of joy and love, and to feel great doing it! They wanted to see an activewear brand that represented our bodies!  Bodies with glorious curves. To see a brand that served gals with bounteous hips, thighs and bums. Babes who deserved to be celebrated and supported to move without limitation. And so here is Lulah Collective, created with heart, sass and soul, just for you! They are building a diverse community who embrace their curves- we hope that Lulah Co. will inspire you to love and nurture yourself through movement.Check out Lulah Collectives podcast, The Body Posi Club for chats with real women and industry professionals on a range of inspiring topics through a body positive lens.Nicole is also a therapist and will be opening her private practice in 2023. Tw: Eating disorders, body dysmorphia, sexual violence We're talking body... literally everything that has to do with 'em. How they function in a world that tells them they're wrong, how we overcome and conquer our traumas around eating and body dysmorphia, how we can intuitively exercise and how we understand our bodies as they relate to sex and intimacy. I'm not a doctor, therapist, registered dietician or nutritionist, so I am only speaking from my experience with my body, but I hope it can help you to realize, nonetheless, that there are no 'supposed to'(s) in this world, and you are wonderfully made. Pour yourself a glass of pinot grigio or go on a juicy hot girl walk and listen to a rant about body acceptance and the beauty we all have within us! Xx

TW: Eating disorder, Suicidality, Transphobia, Transmisogyny I'm late because I moved across the ocean, but here's another insightful episode. This week, we're back with another straight girl, Jackie, to talk about how rough her life has been being the "objectively beautiful" one. Can you imagine having every single guy fall for you the moment he lays eyes on you? Every gay man's dream! No but seriously, we talk about the pervasion of lookism in our contemporary society through the lens of the beneficiaries. We also discuss how lookism affects trans people specifically: how Aster unwittingly benefits from society's obsession with beauty, how the gender binary is coerced upon trans people, and how trans women are victims of double jeopardy for both transphobia and misogyny.  If you want to send Kenneth a message while he's in the military, send him a DM on instagram!Follow our instagram @gaydarsforgaysians, our personals @asterhwang and @kenkang__, and our youtube channel!
