In 1993, Barry Hawk clinched his initial victory in the XC1 ATV category, marking the beginning of a remarkable streak with seven consecutive titles. His last triumph on the ATV occurred in 1999, during which he diligently honed his skills on motorcycles. As Barry Hawk silently evolved into a threat in XC2 bikes, Yamaha recognized his potential and engaged him for a groundbreaking venture—an innovative 4-stroke 400cc motorcycle.Amidst the exodus of factories from the ATV industry in the early '90s, independent companies carried the mantle, with Barry securing a factory ride on a league-built 250R.In 2001, Barry's rivals, astounded by his speed, suspected foul play, prompting Yamaha and team boss Randy Hawkins to undertake the ultimate pursuit to challenge the quad prodigy.2003 marked a historic achievement as Barry Hawk not only secured seven ATV titles (1993-1999) but also clinched the XC1 Motorcycle title, an unprecedented feat from 2003 with unmatched success in XC1 races from 2005-2008.Legends like Barry Hawk emerge so rarely, and few accomplish what he has. Good Morning Nachum. Today on the Tuesday Morning JM in the AM Sports Update, the Route-4 Rivalry gets special showcase in Hockey and Basketball, SKA's claim in Girls Varsity Basketball gets stronger, and the playoff race heats up in JV Hockey. All that and more, straight ahead. Chag Sameach, I'm Elliot Weiselberg. We'll start off with Varsity Basketball, where, while the East awaits their marquee matchup this coming week between North Shore and Magen David, the West had their top rivalry, TABC and Frisch on the docket on Saturday night, with both teams looking to put a dent in the other's chances to vie for the division. Earlier in the season, the Cougars walked away with a 13 point victory, meaning that a sweep would all but end TABC's chances in the West and leave them to battle for a quarterfinal matchup. However, the home team would not cooperate as Netanel Benloulou's 30 points catapulted TABC to a 55-44 win, bringing TABC to 8-2 and keeping them in the mix as we head toward the back-stretch of the season. In other action, Waterbury pulls to 4-5 with an overtime upset over DRS and Hillel skates by Ramaz by 3, 69-66. In Girls Varsity Basketball, Ramaz hands Frisch their first loss 57-56, leaving SKA as the only remaining unbeaten team, currently sitting at 9-0. And in Boys JV, DRS suffers another close loss, dropping a 41-40 decision to North Shore, taking their second loss on the season, in a three day stretch, by a combined total of 3 points. Moving over to hockey, ten months ago, the Frisch Varsity Cougars and TABC Storm met up in Frisch in a classic, with Eli Knapp putting home the overtime winner for a 2-1 victory in a game that would serve as the catalyst for Frisch down the stretch on their way to a championship. The two met up last night in Frisch, in overtime, in a 2-1 contest, but this time it would be the Storm, behind two goals from Ryan Brandwein pulling out the win and dropping the last undefeated team in the league. Frisch still controls their own destiny out west, having gained a point on the night, but the two will meet up again next Wednesday night with the West title potentially on the line before the turn of the calendar. Also on the week, SAR continues their up and down play, one week after defeating TABC, losing to last place Ramaz 3-2 and beating MTA 2-1. Harrison Agus with the game winner for the Rams, who would take two on the week, also defeating Magen David last night 5-3. In JV Hockey, with DRS, TABC and SAR running away at the top of the league, the race for the remaining three playoff spots is heating up behind them. Two of the favorites to take spots, North Shore and Flatbush met up in a rematch from last week, where North Shore blanked the Falcons 2-0 in Great Neck. In this contest, however, Flatbush would get their revenge, but the Stars would still earn a point as the Falcons pulled off a 2-1 OT win. The victory pulls Flatbush to 3-3 and sets them up in a race to the finish with Frisch, Ohr Yisroel and MTA, the Lions a 6-1 winner over Kushner this week, upping their record to 4-2-1. Back to the top, all eyes will be on SAR and TABC as the sole remaining game this week on Thursday night in SAR.  With the playoff race heating up, keeping up to date is a must, and the best place for that is Yeshiva League Pass. For all the latest scores, standings and rankings for both hockey and basketball be sure to follow Yeshiva League Pass on Instagram. And that was your Tuesday Morning JM in the AM Sports Update, happy Chanukah everyone!
Good Morning Nachum! Â Today on the Tuesday Morning JM in the AM Sports Update Cross-conference matchups highlight the week in Varsity Hockey, while intra conference rivalries take center stage in Boys Varsity Basketball and Frisch and SKA stay hot in Girls Varsity Basketball. All that and more straight ahead. Good Morning, I'm Elliot Weiselberg. We'll open up with Girls Varsity Basketball where Frisch and SKA have opened up identical 5-0 records to lead the West and East respectively. The Cougars take a 2 game lead in their division picking up wins over 2nd place SAR by 4 and 3rd place Maayanot by 11, while the Sonics have the upper hand over 4-1 Flatbush, handing them their first loss 51-37. Flatbush will get the chance to rebound this coming Saturday night when they play HAFTR. The Hawks have won 4 in a row since dropping their season opener to SKA, taking 3 of those wins, over Central, North Shore and Solomon Schecter in the last week. In Boys Varsity, rivalries were the order of the week, with the most notable one being Frisch's 61-48 win over TABC. The win puts Frisch behind SAR at the top of West. SAR put an exclamation point this week of their own, drubbing DRS and knocking off JEC, a tough end to the week for JEC, bookending a win over rival Kushner with losses to Ramaz and SAR. In the East, Magen David continues to roll, with a 27 point win over HAFTR and a 50-37 win over YDE behind identical 24 point efforts from Senior Asher Melamed. The next stop for the Warriors will be a home matchup with rival Flatbush this coming Saturday night. Moving over to hockey where the past two days saw two key inter-divisional contests with results that will make for an interesting 2nd half. Frisch stays undefeated, knocking off DRS 4-0 on Sunday. Senior Andrew Srulowitz posted Frisch's 2nd shutout in a row, having also knocked off MTA 7-0 earlier this week. The game starts a tough stretch for the Cougars where beyond MTA tonight, Frisch will play SAR on Thursday, Kushner next Thursday and then a home- and-home with TABC to round out 2022 in games that will likely determine the top of the West. Speaking of SAR, the Sting seem to have found their way back on track in the nick of time, having won 3 of their last 4, including a 5-2 win over HANC last night. A scrappy contest between the two sides, SAR's Morrison Dolfman broke a 2-2 tie with just under 5 minutes to go to give SAR the victory. Now at 3-1-0-2 the Sting can insert themselves into the conversation with Frisch and TABC as they square off with each over the coming week. In other action, Isaac Dweck scores twice for Flatbush, including the game-winner in an Overtime thriller with YDE to improve the Falcons to 2-1. Flatbush will look to state their case in the playoff race over the next 6 days squaring off with Magen David twice and HAFTR, both of whom sandwich Flatbush on the current standings-board. In JV Hockey, DRS has opened up a 6 point lead on the rest of the East, but not without a scare from Frisch in a 4-3 win that saw the Cougars erase 3 DRS leads but could not overcome a fortuitous carom on a Josh Lampert game-winner late in the 3rd period. And Flatbush improves to 2-2, taking their 2nd win in a row, 3-0 over YDE behind an Omri Adaf shutout in YDE last Wednesday night. With the Yeshiva League back, keeping up to date is a must, and the best place for that is Yeshiva League Pass. For all the latest scores, standings and rankings for both hockey and basketball be sure to follow Yeshiva League Pass on Instagram. And that's your Tuesday Morning JM in the AM Sports Update, I'm Elliot Weiselberg.

This game makes me feel all blushy-crushy. Welcome back! Today, on a not-such-a-surprise-if-you-listened-to-the-last-episode episode, we're going to be “quickly” (by our standards) running through our thoughts on Xenoblade Chronicles 2 in preparation for our upcoming episode on Xenoblade Chronicles 3. As the third game more directly references the previous games than any other entry in the series, we thought it was important to have at least covered the basics of the second game to lay the groundwork. This week we're going to be giving a summary of the important plot points and then giving our impressions and takeaways. XC2 is an RPG in the same style of its predecessors in the Chronicles series, but with an overhauled combat system and full of complicated interactions with its main differentiating factor, blades. Blades serve the game both as characters and your classes, in a way, with different blades using different weapons and having a different selection of arts to use, which makes your interactions with them meaningful in both a narrative and mechanical way. They are also largely embarrassingly pornographic. There's a lot of give and take with this game. Your ability to stomach the more juvenile elements will probably be a deciding factor in how much you enjoy the game, and our feelings toward it are complicated to say the least. There is a lot more to the game than we get into today, but it should serve as a decent refresher and lay out what we're going to be comparing to next time in the sequel's episode. Thank you for joining us for this bonus episode this week. We intend to do a full episode on this game at some point in the future, as the sequel being released early sort of quashed our original plan of doing it before that game came out, so take this one with a grain of salt. Emotions ran high and we took it out on the Nopon. Next time we're going to be going full length on Xenoblade Chronicles 3, so we hope you'll look forward to that.

Please don't be an April Fool's joke! We learned today on April 1 that Trails of Cold Steel IV will launch in the west this Fall 2020. The Switch and PC version in 2021. I can hardly contain my excitement as we've been waiting a long time on this announcement. In a huge JRPG week that saw the release of Persona 5 Royal, we had tons big announcements. Xenoblade Chronicles got a May 29 release date during the latest Nintendo Direct. I'm eagerly awaiting that game as well with my love of XC2 knowing no bounds. And I was wrong in Episode 105. It was the end of Mary Skelter, not Neptunia. I'll tell you about Mary Skelter Finale as well as many more stories in one of our best podcasts yet! Submission received via Letter Box 9/15/73_2018“I was running through the halls, a crossing network pattern, with two friends, in a combative flee from an organized shady business group. We ran, up a couple or a few floors, in a column, straight up.I found a room with a chaise lounge and a sky-blue ceiling, and laid down, (deliberately, but without a plan). Then I was walking through an expansive land zone, into a field of tall, brilliantly golden grass, the walls dim and distant. One friend had been behind me, and I turned to tell them: ‘there are rabbits that live here'and my friend was no longer there. Now I had a plan.Again, knowingly, I laid down in the grass.I slowed my breathing, and left my eyes just barely cracked togaze through fuzzy lashes.”Operator Log:3SC-1: "Rabbits That Live Here" - ("Rabbit" _C)IX/15/73 - Telegram - Received in Desk Box[Dream experience submitted via word receiver (Box) at Desk - Origin and Location XWritten as account in past-tense, undated.
