It is a pleasure to welcome back my friends, Thommy and Amelie, also known as The Clairvoyants, to The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast. The Clairvoyants (Thommy Ten and Amelie van Tass) became household names when they appeared on America's Got Talent (AGT)'s eleventh season in 2016. Their craft stunned the audiences and judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, and Mel B. After placing second, the duo performed on Broadway, across the world, and in Las Vegas, where they performed at the LUXOR as a part of the America's Got Talent Las Vegas Live show. After performing over 500 shows at the LUXOR, The Clairvoyants are returning to Las Vegas with an all-new residency at the iconic Venetian Resort in 2025. Joining them on stage is Shin Lim, a two-time AGT winner and a global card magic sensation. Beginning May 22, 2025, the show will run five to ten nights a week at the stunning Palazzo Theatre. It blends mind-blowing mentalism with award-winning sleight-of-hand artistry in a production full of mystery, wonder, and world-class magic. On this episode of The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, The Clairvoyants spoke about their Las Vegas return and how AGT impacted Las Vegas and the magic world.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/jake-s-take-with-jacob-elyachar--4112003/support.

In this episode of Geek Freaks, Frank, Thomas, and Jonathan are back from the Mother's Day break with a packed discussion! They break down the new Peacemaker Season 2 trailer, explore the casting shake-up for the upcoming Clayface movie, and share thoughts on whether Star Wars fans are becoming too hard to please. Plus, hear which character deaths hit them hardest growing up, and catch updates on the booming Fallout series, Thunderbolts comic rebrand, and GTA 6's delay. It's a wild ride through geek culture, nostalgia, and fan expectations. Timestamps and Topics: 00:00 Introduction and Disney Moms podcast shoutout 00:49 Which fictional character death hit the hardest 03:12 Instagram listener responses 05:47 Robb Stark's betrayal and emotional impact 06:23 Peacemaker Season 2 trailer breakdown 10:12 Is the DCU off to a weak start? 14:44 Thoughts on the Clayface script rewrite 17:48 Thunderbolts rebranded as New Avengers 21:56 Is Marvel trying too hard to align comics with movies? 26:10 Forecasting Avengers: Doomsday's five-team lineup 28:31 Fallout series future and New Vegas excitement 33:33 GTA 6 delayed until 2026 37:07 Are Star Wars fans too hard to please? 51:00 The toxic side of fandom and how to fix it 57:30 Why Star Wars casts need better protection 01:00:09 Final thoughts on nostalgia, missed chances, and evolution of fan behavior 01:01:30 Geek Freaks Network news 01:03:22 Weekly recommendations from the hosts Key Takeaways: Peacemaker Season 2 might bridge DCU timelines with multiverse twists. The Clayface film is shifting tone with a new writer, sparking concern. The new Thunderbolts comic is rebranded as The New Avengers, but not all fans are buying the change. Fallout is already planned through Season 5, signaling massive investment in the franchise. GTA 6 delay is seen as necessary to maintain Rockstar's near-perfect track record. Star Wars discourse is dominated by vocal negativity, often before fans have seen new content. Healthy fan engagement means watching, evaluating, and building community—not canceling creators. Ahsoka, Andor, Skeleton Crew, and Acolyte show that Star Wars is diversifying for different audiences. Studios need to better protect and prepare actors for the toxic wave of online fandom. Memorable Quotes: "If you're not watching Peacemaker, you're doing yourself a disservice. It's phenomenal TV." – Thomas "Star Wars didn't change. You just didn't know what it was about when you were a kid." – Frank "Shared trauma is what bonds us. Like Mufasa dying in The Lion King—we all lived through that." – Jonathan "It might not be for you. But it might be someone's favorite Star Wars, and that matters." – Frank "The fandom won't grow if we gatekeep. Let new fans fall in love the same way we did." – Thomas Call to Action: If you enjoyed this episode, share it with a fellow geek and leave us a review on Apple Podcasts or Spotify.

A Note from Jacob: When I started this podcast in November 2019 with Reality TV commentator Brent Wolgamott as the pilot guest, I did not expect to hit episode number 350! Nor did I expect to converse with famed authors and musicians, Emmy-winning journalists, podcast hosts, Reality TV icons, a Tony-winning producer, and viral social media sensations. I want to thank all my guests who took time out of their schedule to visit the show and their media teams who trusted my platform. Finally, I want to say “Thank You” to all of you who tuned into every episode. I appreciate all of you!It is an honor and privilege to welcome ventriloquist and entertainer Terry Fator to The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast for the 350th milestone episode. Terry became a household name when he auditioned for the NBC talent competition America's Got Talent (AGT): Season Two back in 2007, where he showcased his passion for ventriloquism that combined comedy, singing, and celebrity impressions. Thanks to his friends, such as Emma Taylor and Winston, the Impersonating Turtle, fans rallied and crowned him the show's sophomore season winner. Following his AGT success, Terry spent 11 years at his theatre in the Mirage Hotel and Casino, playing in front of millions before moving to the Strat Hotel and Casino for an all-new, multi-media, immersive Vegas production: Terry Fator: One Man, a Hundred Voices, a Thousand Laughs. In addition to Emma and Winston, they are joined by Elvis impersonator Maynard Thompkins, annoying neighbor Duggie Scott Walker, Vikki the Cougar, Hyphen, and a host of famous singers.Terry started his foundation when he was not performing in Vegas or taking his show on the road. The Terry Fator Foundation's (TFF) primary mission is to raise monies to support military service members, veterans, first responders, and their families through various nonprofit channels. The TFF aims to align itself with top-rated nonprofits and corporate partners who carry out these support missions to our men and women who serve this great country and their family members. On our 350th episode, Terry Fator spoke about AGT's legacy on TV and in Las Vegas, previewed his new show at the Strat, and discussed the TFF's impact on helping first responders. Plus, I shared some news with Terry that kickstarts Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar's coverage of AGT's upcoming twentieth-anniversary season. This iconic boy band just announced their Vegas residency at the sphere!
Joining this episode is Obsidian's very own Carrie Patel to tell us all we need to know going into Avowed! Everything from framerate and role-playing mechanics to the future of the Pillars franchise is covered in our deep dive with the game's director. Also, we get a bit into what's behind the secret sauce that allows a team like Obsidian to release so many games in a short period of time while the rest of the industry toils away on one-and-done projects. That's not the only news to come out of Obsidian as the lead writer of Fallout's most loved entry in New Vegas just returned to the studio. John Gonzalez is known for not only his work on the Horizon series, but also his iconic characters created such as Mr. House, the Strip families, Caesar, and so on. Could Obsidian be cooking on Fallout? Well, not according to John, but we theorize nonetheless. Naturally, we get into the plethora of PS5 ports announced this week in Forza Horizon 5 as well as the Age Of Empires series plus plenty more in a girthy week of Defining Duke! She answers that question and a whole lot more.Spoiler alert: She isn't betting on Sunday's Super Bowl.Hosted by Scott Sexsmith and Michael Friscolanti, the Editor-in-Chief of Village Media, Inside the Village is a news and current affairs podcast that provides a weekly window into some of the best local journalism from across our chain of Ontario newsrooms. On this episode of Random Encounter, we're chatting about heisting steam-powered robots and the foggiest post-apocalyptic city you've ever seen. First up, Ben embraces his inner robot pirate with the sequel to 2015's TRPG, Steamworld Heist, Steamworld Heist II. The latest entry in the multi-genre Steamworld series, Heist II delivers a side-scrolling, turn-based spin on XCOM-style gameplay with a healthy dose of adorable steam-powered robots. Does it live up to the first game and the rest of the series? Then, did the hit Amazon series leave you craving a new Fallout game? Well, as usual, the modders are doing what Bethesdon't with the astonishing full Fallout 4 conversion mod, Fallout London. This mod completely recreates London, England and its boroughs, giving the famous city a post-nuclear apocalypse vibe. Yes, it was made by fans, but can it deliver a New Vegas-style experience to Fallout 4?Featuring: Jono Logan and Ben Love; Edited by Jono LoganGet in Touch:RPGFan.comRPGFan ShopEmail us: podcast@rpgfan.comTwitter: @rpgfancomInstagram: @rpgfancomThreads: @rpgfancomFacebook: rpgfancomTwitch: rpgfancomThis Episode's Related Links:Steamworld Heist II ReviewSteamworld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech ReviewFallout 4 ReviewFallout 76 ReviewFallout Season One Review

On today's episode of Diagnonsense Kurt and Isaac discuss their thoughts on the Fallout Show on Amazon Prime. Kurt has played the games since he was a teenager and Isaac has never played the games before because he's a weak soy boy who's too scared of violence.Me, personally, I've only played New Vegas on the Xbox 360 which was super great, highly recommend. Also the show is just 'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly' but post apocalypses. Not a critique at all, just an observation. Also sometimes when i get really sad I'll put on the fallout cartoons form the games with vault boy because they cheer me up and I like watching him get beat up by all wastelands residents and his boss. He's funny.

Well, this is a first. Matty had the opportunity to sit down with Bethesda Game Studios lead Todd Howard to discuss everything from Starfield and Elder Scrolls VI to Fallout and the company's shifting design philosophies! In an otherwise slow news week, the Dukes sink into all Todd had to share with Matty. What's going on with Fallout ports or New Vegas? How far along is Elder Scrolls VI and what technology is being used to build it? What's going on with Starfield Year 2 and will it be supported longer than prior BGS games? He shares a lot, so let's talk a lot! We've got another two-fer of mini-topics this week around projects we've been tinkering with lately. First, Will has been investigating ways to get the SteamOS experience on hardware that's not a SteamDeck, with both the full-on SteamOS rebuild HoloISO and the more general gaming-focused Linux distro Bazzite. Second, we've both had Fallout New Vegas (and its many necessary mods) on the brain a lot lately, and have been looking into the open-source mod manager Wabbajack and some of the other stuff going on around automating mods these days.
