Society has put us in a box… This is the Unboxing. Inspired by my own search for direction, Unboxing is where I take to the ring with people who have questioned the status quo, created their own path and found success as they define it. In contrast to boxing, Unboxing is a non-conflict exploration of new ideas and alternate perspectives so that we can understand them better - fostering open-mindedness, creativity and evolution.

I’m re-joined in the ring by Daniel ‘Rasheed’ Tilton for the first ever ‘Round-Up’ where we catch up on what’s happened in our lives and in society, doing our best to unbox what on earth is going on... We start off by talking about the relatively new ‘Information War’ phenomenon, bought about by new platforms such as YouTube allowing anyone with a camera to publish their own independent research, offering new and contrasting narratives to the ‘mainstream’ media. In times of extreme polarisation, policies around freedom of speech are being put under the microscope and whilst we believe it can be beneficial to entertain these alternate perspectives, our ability to discern between crazy and credible information is of all-time importance. We then go onto discuss how this relates to the two most relevant topics of 2020: the Covid Pandemic (including an unlikely starring role for Pangolins) and the BLM movement, making for a very fitting start to what hopefully will be a more regular series going forward!www.unboxing-gym.com

Cameron Bancroft is a professional cricketer who represents the Australia National team, Perth Scorchers, Western Australia and last year was appointed as Captain of Durham County Cricket Club in the UK. In March 2018, Cam's life took a poignant turn as he was found to be complicit in an attempt to tamper with the ball during a game against South Africa in Cape Town, to gain an advantage which was not within the laws of the game. Shortly after, Cam took full accountability for his involvement in the incident and he was ultimately banned from all forms of professional cricket for 9 months. The incident sparked an unprecedented public outcry, especially in Australia where the culture of the team came under fire. Two years on, it's clear the incident was a before/after moment where the team has turned a corner and developed a reformed culture under new leadership, documented in a recent Amazon Prime series called 'The Test'. In this bout, Cam opens up about why he ultimately made a poor decision in South Africa and about how the 9 months away from cricket was particularly transformative for him, allowing him to reflect on placing more value on 'being true to himself' as opposed to 'fitting in'.www.unboxing-gym.comThis bout is brought to you in association with http://www.CricX.com - The Cricket Exchange Agency.

Fast becoming a thought leader around business leadership in the digital age, in this bout we try to unbox: what entrepreneurship really means, intelligence vs knowledge, why employees should create their own brands as well as the role of tradition and how - if not questioned constantly - it can prevent innovation in both business - and in golf! www.unboxing-gym.com
