Send us a textAs a woman of colour, an immigrant in the US who took to the spiritual life of service, I can testify to the deep wounds of racism, and other untoward expereinces that have shaped my life, impacted my wellbeing and forged my overall spiritual fortress. I speak from the platform of my most precious human asset- our humanity. I believe most of us would concur that hatred, racism, and offensive behaviour offer no solution to our human problems. In truth, prejudice of any kind can only escerbate the present crises, chaos and confusion. Hatred, and violent response is never the humane answer. Even when we are reacting to inhumane and odious behaviour, we must keep the peace, we must work diligently to maintain our inner balance. Only then can we grow our humanity and make the imperative change individually and collectively. Send us a textNo, we do not require another planet to habitate! We do not need to pollute and rape the naked sky. We must clean up the mess we have made on planet earth. Rife with pain, agony, fear, and destruction, every atom on earth shouts for our attention. What we are experiencing in our nation and world today can be summarised in one word: purging. To heal the karmic wounds of our nation and the world, we must first heal the communal, familial, ancestral wound that each and every one of us carry within our soul. In short, the Mother Wound, the deepest scars on the earth imprinted by our individual and collective karmic destiny. We are called to take the dire path, to go within and make one quantum shift in and through the breath, to reclaim self- awareness. In this serene space we can reorder calm amid the chaos, we can endure the bitter lashes in purging age-old, inured karmas, our collective karmas, the karmic injustices of self, ancestors, the horrors we have wreaked upon native lives and lands, corruption of home, hearth and heart. Conspire with the Cosmos. because we are equipped with its universal mind, when we sync our mind in harmony with the universal vibration, we are truly capacle of downloading its healing positive vibrations that safeguard and inform our mental and emotional thoughts. We are a magical, vibrational entity, organically tuned by the cosmic energies. I speak to this invisible power, and friendship I bear with my universe because I have been tested again and again, through the fire of chaos, trials, betrayals, and sabotage by the egregious crime of being targeted by the soul-less. Yesterday, I found myself shouting at my elderly mother. Immediately afterwards, I found myself writhing in sadness. While it is natural to express anger at those we love, it is important to do the inner dive and assess what is still to be healed witihin us. Family members are the best instrument to work throuh the abyss of fears, anger, and other dark emotions. Every angry, wrathful, violent thought and/or negative response we endure can be traced to the cellular memories we carry within our genetic composition which had been sculpted by familial bloodlines. Ancestral memories mold our relationship to the world and can control our responses and behavior unless we bring awareness to them. The ancestors can be both the source of the hardship and the remedy. Each time we allow a challenge to push our buttons, we push deeper into the murk of ancestral chasm. With ancestral awareness, we can choose a dharmic response or make a humane choice when faced with challenges. In this way, we transcend the ancestral ground of negative experiences. We win, we grow, we morph into our humanity and elevate both ourselves and the ancestral spirits. We need their cosmic protection! Let's enjoin heart across Mother Earth to awaken ancestral awareness. Here are three very simple practices you can do to cull and strengthen ancestral awareness. REMEMBRANCE: Set up a small altar in your home NOURISHMENT: Offer a small portion of vegetarian food to ancestorsAWARENESS: Bring awareness to negative responses rooted in familial anger, rage, angst, guilt.Support the showMay Peace Be Your Journey~www.mayatiwari.comwww.facebook.com/mayatiwariahimsa.Buzzsprout.com

Remember that you grand, and complex and exquisitely formed from the musical cords of memory, that your grestest relationship is with the universe, the magnificent cosmos within. Cosmic Sound gave birth to the universe. We are born with music and dance inscribed in every cell of our being. The human memory field is stupendous is engendered from sound vibration. Our Cosmic birth is transformed and sustained by the force of the five elements -Akasha, Space - being the most subtle of the elements and the infinite container in which we are continually replenishes intelligence. We are imbued with cosmic memory formed from the very beginning of time. Every cell, atom in our body is sustained, nourished and calibrated by the vibration of these vibrational memories. Prana- The power of breath, supported by many thousands of conduits from the cosmos. At this powerful time of human isolation, let us remember one of our most potent inner medicines which we may simply call upon to heal and be stronger, the power of breath. Prana controls the breath of the planetary heart. The fantastic rise of heart-related diseases and other health impairments are due, in part, to the dysfunction of bodily prana. When breath suffers, sadness prevails. This eternal breath moves the entire universe. Imagine the earth spinning in her galactic dance with other planets in the cosmos. What a gorgeous feat it is to observe prana. The breath of the planet is the source of vitalization and renewal. When this layer of energy is sickened, the earth and her inhabitants exude fear, pain, tremors, and spasms.Pranayama, the practice of breathing in harmony with universal rhythms was handed down by the world's oldest known cosmic physicists, scientists - the Vedic seers of the Hindu Tradition. During these times, when we are overpowered by these conditions which may appear omni-present in our personal world, we are called to remember our nature of kindness. . Kindness is an innate part of human nature. We do not have to reach deep to find it. It is ever-generating, ever present. Kindness and Love are not emotions, these are attributes which are deeply configured into the DNA of our tissues and memory. A Guru. The simple, pure form of the soul born to selfless search and service of the "I", The Self that is "Tat Tvam Asi" = "I am that illimitable consciousness". Across the vast swatch of nature, we are surrounded by the bliss of the Guru each and every moment. Each and every part of nature is a Guru, Mother Earth is a humungous Guru, each tree a teacher, each drop of water a devotee saint, every breath of air, a refreshing master. Nature's seed sovereignty is a ruling Guru without whose sacrificial participation we starve to death. Did you know that every vulgar, vile, violent experience is a “Saturnal “ Guru, learning by the lash of the whip. However, arduous and bitter the lessons are these experiences remain our teaching curves. Our perennial Gurus. When first I wrote these words, my lessons from the vicious experience of being targeted by well-organized hate- driven bullies were still maneagable. It is twelve years later and myprivacy and human freedom are still at the mercy of unimagineable intrusions, and violence against my physical beingness and work. Yet, these words of wisdom rise to serve me, to keep me sentient, to remind me that love is inscribed as a cellular memory in each and everyone of us, including the haters and misinformed. And it is this memory that we must lean on to carry us through to the light. When in evolution a human Guru takes birth, their paths are often riddled with sharpness, surrounded by the ignorance of the world, by biases, jealousies of those they serve, marginalization, ridicule and , in many cases, castration by violence and other vile acts against them. In the popular world culture we are continually striving to seek the wisdom of the ancients, but we have to be sufficiently reconciled to our self-worth to be prepared to seek Self-knowledge. We want to learn from the master, the Guru but, for many, because we are so spiritually starved from the loss of self-sovereignty, we continually find ways to undermine the elder, disavow the lessons thrown in our path, oftentimes because we forget that the greatest Guru is the inner Guru. We live in a country where there are more guns than citizens. 433 million registered guns in the USA. The culture of violence has become the norm. The false values of corruption, Competion, rivalry, unkindness, ignornace and inhumanity are on the rise. The only way we can turn this tide around is through shifting our individual sense of value and esteem to Ahimsa- the timeless value of being a human being. Choosing to live in Ahimsa means choosing non violence, non-injury, and doing the work to cultivating inner harmony. Exposing or revealing dark thoughts, dark words, violent actions we give ourselves permission to open to healing our inner angst when we use these dark moments to shift our thinking, belief system away from the Otherness the binary, the duality is us/them that creates so much pain. For thirty five years Maya Tiwari has been teaching the inviolate work of awareness through the way of Ahimsa. To parrot Frederich Nietzche, when we stare into the abyss for too long, the abyss stares back at us. I have found myself staring into the abyss, perambulating its event horizon until my feet fell out, and my mind became blurred. The abyss staring back at me. Anger is necessary, it is a helpful way to vent, shout and scream out our rgae, discomfort, and tear out the injustice of it all. But anger has two faces; positive and negative. When we hang onto it, righeously or otherwise, for too long, it boomerangs with the same force of its output. Be aware. Never, never allow anger to fester for too long. Allow it to change and morph by shedding light to it, "my persceptive may be askew"; "I am not able to see the whole truth of it", " I am tired and need to step back from it.".... many lanterns are there to help shed awareness. And this gives the neccessary repreive to dissolve the intensity and one pointed dagger of anger. As you may know from my work of Honoring Ancestors, evert angry, wrathful, violent thought and/or negative response we have ever issued can be traced to the cellular memories we carry within our genetic composition which had been sculpted by familial bloodlines. Ancestral memories mold our relationship to the world and can control our responses and behavior unless we bring awareness to them. The ancestors can be both the source of the hardship and the remedy. Each time we allow a challenge to push our buttons, we push deeper into the murk of ancestral chasm. With ancestral awareness, and contInually bringing light to our angst, rage, worry, discomfort, we tend to make a more humane choice when faced with challenges. In this way, we transcend the ancestral ground of negative angst. We we grow, we morph into our humanity, always an uncomftable terrain. This illusive, sought after thing is not an illusion. It is tge ever flowing vibration beneath the grime, crime, and slime of living. It is immutable energy always present always accessible, if we learn how to stay open to it. Happiness is not what we think it is. It is not to be found in the state of the mind. It is not a goal to be pursued. Like desires, it arises from the depth of our past impressions stored within the cognition over many rebirths. We can no more control desires than we can control happiness. It is ever-flowing, generated by the unconditional desire to be happy. Happiness blossoms when we understand our nature is happiness. Amid the dankness and chaos of our individual world and the world at large, we find ourselves hard-pressed to eke out the space and time necessary to pause, to breathe into the inner sanctum where the immortal happiness lives. But, this we must do- day after day, regardless and because of. Our primordial nature is happiness, our nature is the pure desire for freedom, liberation form the endless cycles . Ode to Flaco- magical, mystical citizen of NYCPartial Transcript-Flaco, the Eurasian eagle-owl, beloved citizen of NYC died sometime early Friday morning, on Feb 23rd.The snow moon has just risen in the eerie early morning. The researchers from the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation traced two unique lunar communication behaviors of the Eurasian Eagle Owl during each of the major phase of the moon: vocal communication and visual communication. During the full moon the Eurasian Eagle Owl is turned on by moonlight. The brighter the moon, the more frequent the calls. But along with the owls' vocalizations is the moon's affect on the owls' visual communication. The study is one of the few that have looked at intraspecies communication of nocturnal birds and the findings provide further evidence lunar cycles affect the behaviors of animal species.I choose to think that this celibate, monk-like bird was responding to his palpitating heart for his beloved owl mate. eagle owls communicate similarly at dusk and at dawn to when the moon is full, and suggest that this is because the amount of ambient light at dusk and dawn are about the same as a moonlit night.... shedding the aura of romantic hues this majestic creature was longing for the company of his mate. Eagle owls have white patches of soft feathers under their beaks that they show only when vocalizing. So, as the moon gets brighter, and the eagle owls are calling to their mates more frequently, so do these owls climb to higher perches where they can be more easily spotted. A grand freedom year to date, the Moon brilliantly relecting in the high perches of glass windows, Flaco obeying his avian instinct must have flown into his own reflection made bright by the vision of moon. He reached not the open skies, nor the enbrace of his beloved girl-owl but a crushing barbarism, crashing to his death. His spirit released, he is soaring in the high ethers alongside his proud ancestors, and perhaps there his spirit has already enjoined his beloved mate. His radical journey from captivity at the Central Part Zoo - from the time he was a fledgeling 13 years ago, to his absolute freedom on the historic day of Feb 2, 2023 when his cage was cut open, demands our reverential awe. Falco took his maiden flight to freedom and was never captured again until he laid down, body vanquished, spirit risen on the cold concrete slab at 89St on CPW. Flaco's momentous act of freedom has split open each one of our hearts. Owls are known to never follow the herd, they live independently, cherishing their own company, the ooutlier of the avian species. The freedom seeker, Flaco is a magical, mystical New York story. He is helping every disciples to reveal our own back story. Like every act of martyrdom in deeply troubled times, Flaco's plunge to certain death instills a reverence for the lifeforce, diminishing the fears we carry around toxic urban disease, death and dying. My own story swelled up inside my throat. I grew up in Greenwich Village; left the city to build my non profit school in the wilderness of North Carolina, acres of Cherokee forest where I could seed my Ayurveda gardens. But I kept returning to the city, to that imperishable creative vortex force where the spirit of its citizens is held in abeyance. After twenty years, the tide of harmony had turned in my forest. Barbarism against my person, as spiritual person, a woman of colour, a successful woman, a woman of Hindu origins, a woman of robes, escalated, targeted as I were by the brutal network of the many tentacled patriarchs. So just a few months ago I decided to close my operations in NC and returned to my home base in the city, largely because I heard and empatized with the Support the showMay Peace Be Your Journey~www.mayatiwari.comwww.facebook.com/mayatiwariahimsa.Buzzsprout.com
Maya explores the way Sanskrit chants, pilgrimages and other awe-inspiring practices of Nature heighten the natural scalar waves responsible for cohesion and wellness in the body. The way science views the pilgrim's experience can be said, as follows: Scalar waves generated in the body provide an energetic communication system that connects all cells. This energy contains the power of the universe and has unlimited potential. All pilgrimages heighten our inner resource of positive vibrations within the body. Positive mental attitude is communicated through the scalar field generated by thousands of möbius coils at the cellular level and can effect the cell's mode of growth or protection. Scientists have created scalar wave generators for therapeutic purposes and have confirmed that a scalar field can create a twenty-fold stimulation of cell growth in human immune system cells. This heightened vibration was evident as my colleague and I journeyed along the magnificent southern plains flowing in tandem with the Kauveri River, a few years ago. I noticed how faithfully the river led, guided, and blessed us as we crisscrossed her boundaries. On this seamless serpentine route, rural women soaked fully clad in her abundance; they washed clothing by beating them on rock surfaces whilst children playing, splashed about in the water; white egrets stood on royal guard in tall grasses of the bordering marshland - protecting the sublime energy of wholeness in these raw, bare-chested villages. The scalar waves' energy was naturally heightened during this pilgrimage North and South in India. The feeling of awesome wellness pervaded.Support the showMay Peace Be Your Journey~www.mayatiwari.comwww.facebook.com/mayatiwariahimsa.Buzzsprout.com
Today, I received the shocking news about an old friend. She is an elderly mother who was evicted from her home by her one and only son and daughter-in-law. At every turn of life, we can come face to face with bitter lessons, and the hearless actions of those who facilitate them. During these times, it seems equally heartless to console the aggrevieved with words like, " remember the good days you shared, remember to keep your heart consoled by being grateful for the multitude of good things in your life, and not focus exclusiviley on the bitterness of the day." This too may seem like cruel advice given the tired moment while despairing. But....the way to healing all suffering is through remembering gratitude. It is easy to be grateful for the kindness shown to us, for gifts of friends and joyful occasions. But in the most important juncture of our lives, when the darkness of despair can shroud hearts and souls, or during the lonely hours of despair, disillusionment, and/or disease when hope wanes, and support appears to be non-existent, and kindness cannot be felt, all is not lost: We have the way of gratitude to turn to, a conduit that for millions of years have been the proven way to recapture inner space, to stretch open the amity of our innate awareness, to lighten the burdens of the heart and to simply connect back to a universe that can never forsake us........a beautiful exposition by the one and only, Maya Tiwari, on the power of gratitude during the darkest of days. A worthy rerun of this awesome episode: Although we may strive for hapiness in our lives, it often appears illusive.... but happiness is not a chase or a hunt, it is a primoridial longing in tge very cell and memory of our vital tissues. It is to be seized from moment to moment. Becuae it is generally wrapped in the mundane , in routines, in events we take for granted. Listen to the melody of the winds brushing against space, or the drops of water filtering into a pond, or the beauty of a grazing herd of deer, or meeting and reveling in the company of old friendships. We are formed from the universal cosmic sound. The Vedic seers refer to this Sound as "OM". This sounds incorporates all sounds. There are trillions of sounds which are endemic to our cosmos that heals. Every cell, memory and tissue is formed from the cosmic sound. Sound Medicine is our natural inner medicine, free and abundantly available in nature. Indeed, sound is central to the very act of creation. Vedic lore tells us that Goddess Durga rode her lion, carried her damaru (a small, double-headed drum whose sound is associated with the element of space), and drummed the world into existence. Sound, as healing force, is a cornerstone of all the great spirit traditions. Consider the idea that life itself emanates from sound, for what is sound but audible breath, the rhythm and melody of the One spirit that dwells within all things? Sound vibration is a manifestation of life energy, and that life energy, or prana, is the basis for self-healing.Listen In~Support the showMay Peace Be Your Journey~www.mayatiwari.comwww.facebook.com/mayatiwariahimsa.Buzzsprout.com

Awareness thrives when we are able to create and recreate space within ourselves; Especially during arduous, violent and brutal circumstances when living appears to close us down, we tend to shrink our joy, and sense of purpose. Maya unfolds the power of awareness through her own profound personal experiences. She informs that awareness is the innate intelligence that is imbued in each and every person. She reminds us that the key to healing is in the preservation of inner space- that we must continually safeguard our inner space in such a way that at the end of every day we evict all unwelcome thoughts, absurdies, vile intrusions and simply breathe ourselves back into Being. The time has come to rid the false belief system that keeps us mired in a "race" conflict. Maya elucidated the knowledge that we are all formed from an ancient genetic weave that interlaces our blood lines. The taboo of racial divide, racial hatred, bigotry has been paying out for centuries and we have bought into it. Humanity has endured countless invasions, terrorism, violence amongst empires and nations based primarily on "racial divide and varying ideologies. In fact, there has never been a time when wars, invasions or violence were non-existent.There is burgeoning new evidence from genomic science that is inadvertently proving that we all have indelible blood ties to each other. What if I were to tell you that you are a composition of several genomic factors, and that there is no such thing as as the ethnicity such as being a person who is pure white, black, brown, yellow or red race? Our cultural genealogy is adapted and formed from the various interactions of states' invasions and occupations, trading among nations, vacation tourism, sexual tourism, inter cultural marriages.Did you know that Africa is not only the cradle of humanity but ancient African genes may well be imprinted upon at least 2/3 of the world's population? To have someone acknowledge our words, how we feel, especially during times when we find it difficult to move forward, find our way, or when the heart feels severed from its humanity. These are times when we find ourselves in that deep slothful rut.....when the kindness of a listening ear can be the most effective balm for the suffering heart... The undifferentiated white of winter creates a sound barrier that suppresses noises, disharmonies. The pristine beauty of the snow. Bow to Mother Earth and reclaim your inner silence, that brings forth your expansive space to be still and observe; to feel hope budding again, to have the companionship of winter's serene, buffered light. Maya shares personal moments of the art of giving through Dana Mudra and her tireless work with her charitable organization, the Mother Om Mission. She reminds us that at this Yule, when all traditions are celebrating the year's end, some in summer and others in the wintry season, that we take pause and gather our open palm to the outer world in a posture that awakens the memory of giving, the sentiency of our human heart. Maya's explores her theory of "cosmic memory" by way of the beautiful animal, the cow, whose maternal, innocent and loving characteristics she attributes to the 'carrier' of Shakti , primordial feminine energy" on Earth. Maya advances seamless insight of her extraordinary theory that all species are connected through the cosmic memory network. At this pivotal time of humanity's progress into consciousness when our collective psyche is being scrubbed by grief, sadness, anger and loss, we need to invoke a global Egregore for Peace. We can flatly refuse to enjoin anything less than the good for all humanity~ We do have a choice to refuse to join the group though form for violence and unseemly acts against Nature and Self. Although we live in a most vulnerable time, bombarded by electronics, saturated by destructive technological, we are facing a positive horizon for change, where light abides. Self-peace is the most priceless peace. It is the cultivation of inner harmony, a calm that is earned and fought for, a calm that years of arduous work and commitment to living in awareness can generate. I earned this inner calm through more than 45 years of challenges and hard inner work. Then when I was finally poised in myself, this peace was stripped to the bare by defying my health and wellness by the eroding efforts of toxic, powerful covert groups who have leached themselves onto my life . Relentless. And so I now set out once more to re earn my stasis, my equanimity, having faced this dire reality in our world, an experience over enduring years the scourge in humanity that appears to be gaining more ground into the privacy and sanctity of our lives. Peace, then, does not allow us to bask in our robes or rest in our laurels. It is an every present witnessing of awareness, without judgments, or even condemnation of the evil.Keeping at ease with ourselves, family and hearth is not an easy accomplishment, but it is the anthesis of wars, conflict, bitterness, grief, and all the tentacles of evil which are currently unfolding on planet earth, and have been ongoing for beginning-less eons. Did you know that you are spiritually immutable? That our human spirit holds as much light as the planet Sun? That the sun can hold 50 billion Earths? Yes, this means we can do anything we set our hearts to doing, including creating self-peace when the vista around us appears bleak, unpromising, and hopeless. Through her own profound life expereinces, she intimately shares wisdom ~ that we have the innate capacity to cull self-peace even in the face of absolute despair.Listen In....Support the showMay Peace Be Your Journey~www.mayatiwari.comwww.facebook.com/mayatiwariahimsa.Buzzsprout.com

Often we think of forgiveness as forgiving the others for crimes foisted upon and actions against us…the greater part of forgiveness lies in forgiving ourselves. For every situation of angst, hurt, betrayal, or violence is created by an invisible web of cause and effect………that likely goes back as far into the obnubilate past. Somewhere in the vast ancestral history we go back to fight battles, reconcile mistakes, or simply to become more human in our process. After all, whatever the story, is this not what challenges are about? In Sanskrit the word for "forgiveness" is Kshama . It has many layers of unfolding. Kshama means forbearance and forgiveness, and can refer to the capacity to forgive others and forget the past. It relates to releasing time, and being attentive to the unsettling emotional process.Kshama implies that to forgive, truly forgive we must travel to the extremity of patience ~ biding bitter time in the ever slow process of endurance, allowing time to reset our mind while the heart settles. Grief always precedes forgiveness. It is necessary to allow grief to take its course. When we race to the ideological behavior of “forgiving" the abuser, the tormentor, the vile and ugly anthropogenic actions, before we are organically ready to do so we are, in fact, putting our own natural healing process on hold; doing what we feel we should do; being generous with our emotions. But this always backfires, because we get angrier from recognizing that the ugly monster rears its head again, and again.Listen In ~Support the showMay Peace Be Your Journey~www.mayatiwari.comwww.facebook.com/mayatiwariahimsa.Buzzsprout.com
Maya Tiwari, world renowned Vedic scholar, author and Ayurveda matriarch speaks to the meteoric rise of Nuclear mining of the human body for energy production and its dehumanizing effects on humanity:At present, I am sitting in my new home in Asheville, NC, awed by the deja vu - a repeat performance of the chicanery of activities that I recently left behind in Albuquerque, NM where a major Nuclear Lab, neatly ensconced in the embrace of the massive Military Airfare Base is mining nuclear energy production through the bodies and minds of live human people. It appears no place in the world is exempt from the tentacular reach of this obscene business .......Listen In~ Support the show
Hatred is not an imbued trait of the human person, it is a cultivate emotion that runs through the rivers of endless generations, based on their belief systems. Racism is one fo the more common expression of hatred. Being a targeted individual is a clear example of hatred, a more devious scenario than racism. Hatred stems from the belief that groups of humans possess different behavioral traits corresponding to inherited attributes and can be divided based on the superiority of one person over another; hatred is a multi tentacles affair that can be spurred on by infinite numbers of assumptions, and circumstances. One can be passionately hated for being a truth-sayer.....Listen In on Maya's extraordinary series on hatred, racism, and targeted peopleSupport the show
In honoring Elizabeth, I do not disavow the savages of Britain's colonized occupation of peoples and countries.I honor the woman for the remarkable being that she was. As I watched an intriguing video from the British Pathe Archives of Elizabeth's initiation into the Druid culture my skin shivered, recalling memories of my own initiation as a synnassin in the Vedic tradition. Indeed, every spiritual initiation that heels us securely into purpose is a glorious and priceless one. Born in British Guiana in the year of her ascension to the throne, the love we bore for the queen was undaunted. She played such an important part in our lives growing up. Let us not forget that more than a royal, she was a woman who played a cardinal role in the advancement of women's power to heal and rule~ a signature of her Jupiter and Mars in humanitarian Aquarius and her trailblazing first house. In 2017, she became the first female head of state to attend a cabinet meeting in over 300 years. Support the show

We are pioneers of a new movement of conscious, evolving, and open-hearted Homo sapiens, defying the old paradigms and binaries and awake enough to walk beside each other as we change the world forever. I want to help men to remember that there was a time when they were free, when their noble Shiva voices rang out like nightingales against the tremors of a palladium welkin.Did you know, the idea of gender clothing is fairly new. Skirts and frocks once worn by men allowed them to move with fluidity and freedom. Long gowns and full-skirted coats with or without embroidered ornamentation was an acceptable and fashionable part of men's wardrobe until the first half of the 20th century. Shirts were the practical dress of our most ancient civilizations, on both sides of the gender binary. Fluent cloths worn as wraps, sarongs, dhotis, kurtas, and loincloths, togas were replete among men of all social stature. Short skirts among soldiers were considered proof of virility, and allowed for swiftness while in combat. Male attire was dominated by short hemlines paired with stockings worn as outer leg wear which showed off their well-formed, muscular legs......Listen In~ a brilliant session by the one and only, Maya TowardThank you Deuter for the background music. Silence heals. Silence revives spirit. For just this timeless bit of time, put aside anger, agendas and whatever is weighing you down. Silence reminds us of our timeless, untethered Self. Be Still. Listen to the hushing sounds before the silence, observe: In observing we become still. Emulate the stillness of nature. And you become friends with silence. Stillness is the gift of awareness. Stillness is the secret of the trees and mountains. They are in no hurry to accelerate the process of becoming. When you bathe in moonlight, you become moonlit; when you sit in the forest, you become the essence of the trees; when you climb a mountain you become that mountain. They are all essential stillness in quiet motion. Observe nature and allow yourself to be transformed. Sit in yourself for twenty minutes. Allow yourself to be untethered, to receive the light. Allow the pain to jut be so it can pass. Allow the simple grace of your being. Allow. If there is anger, give it space to fret. Give it space to play itself out. Observing silence is the natural grace of presence. Let go. Surrender to the Silence. Support the show
