What is Provision? Truth for Christian Entrepreneurs, 355

Play Episode Listen Later Jun 22, 2026 17:58

While you believe that the Lord is your Provider, how do you define provision as a Christian entrepreneur? And what if whatever challenge you're facing IS the provision? THESE ARE THE CHALLENGING QUESTIONS at the heart of this episode — and this might just be the most uncomfortable and freeing truth you hear this week. We've been conditioned to believe provision looks one way: overflow, momentum, revenue, success after success. But in this episode, we're pulling back the curtain on how high-achieving sisters in Christ wrestle with what it really means to trust God as provider — especially when the bank account, the effort, or the obedience don't seem to reflect what they think it should. From the woman whose business hasn't landed a client in a year (and yet lacks nothing) to the earworm lie that "if you're not growing, you're dying," this episode challenges kingdom entrepreneurs to trade the world's definition of provision for God's. In this episode, you'll explore: Why everything belongs to God — and what that means for your business How provision can look like slowing down, scaling back, or even a part-time job The prosperity gospel undercurrent that quietly shapes how Christian business owners think Why thriving in the kingdom often starts in darkness, not abundance The lie the enemy uses to keep you striving instead of trusting Scriptures referenced: Psalm 50 Isaiah 45 Jeremiah 18 Matthew 6:31-33 Matthew 7:11 Philippians 4:19 Romans 8:17-18 If this episode stirred something in you, go back and listen to Episode 354 — "Even If He Doesn't: Whose Outcomes Are You Expecting?" These two episodes together will shift how you see God's faithfulness in every season of your business. Key Takeaway Provision isn't defined by overflow — it's defined by God's character. He doesn't just give good things; He is good, even when His provision looks like slowing down, scaling back, or a season where nothing seems to be happening. The question was never "what is provision?" It's "do I believe He is good enough to trust His definition of it over mine?" Reflection Question Where in my business right now am I measuring provision by the world's standard — overflow, growth, visible momentum — instead of trusting that God may be providing through stillness, rest, or a season of going deeper with Him? Even If He Doesn’t: Whose Outcomes Are You Expecting? 354

Even if God never gives you the outcomes you've been working toward or expecting? Would you still obey? That's the question at the center of this episode — and it's one that has been deeply personal in this season. Let's unpack what it truly looks like to remain obedient to your God-given assignment even if the outcomes look nothing like you're expecting. This isn't a message against building a thriving business. It's an invitation to examine where your hope is anchored — and whether you've been leaning on His understanding or your own. In This Episode: The "even if" defiance of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in Daniel 3:16–18 — and what their posture in the fire teaches us about obedience without guaranteed outcomes Why Proverbs 3:7 goes beyond what we typically take from this passage — and what it means to not be wise in your own eyes as a Christian entrepreneur Psalm 37:23–24 and 31 on what it means to have your steps established, ordered, and secured by the Lord — even when you fall The Isaiah 46 reminder that He alone carries, bears, and rescues — and how the idols of recognition, achievement, income, and stages cannot answer us or save us from our trouble The stunning parallel between Daniel 3 and Habakkuk 3:17–18 — and why "even if" appearing in both passages is no coincidence The difference between the world's promises and the Lord's promises — and how to find contentment and fulfillment in the assignment itself, regardless of the outcome Scripture References: Daniel 3:16–18 Proverbs 3:5–7 Psalm 37:23–24, 31 Isaiah 46:4, 7, 10–11 Habakkuk 3:17–18 Key Takeaway: God does not promise to save us from the fire — He promises to walk with us through it. As Christian entrepreneurs, we are not called to be obedient only when the outcomes match our expectations. We are called to obey because He is good, because His plan will take place, and because our steps are ordered by a God who already knows where they lead. The assignment was never about our gain. It was always about His glory — in the full seasons and the quiet ones alike. This week's reflection question:  Even if it doesn't look the way you expected — even if the book went nowhere, the stage led to nothing, the business didn't scale the way you planned — will you continue to be obedient to what He has given you? This episode could be a sister to last week's on misappropriating glory! Listen to that episode here. Misappropriating Glory: You Work Isn’t About You, 353

Play Episode Listen Later Jun 8, 2026 15:47

It's so easy to think our productivity and progress are OURS, which is a slippery slope to misappropriating glory, i.e., taking the glory that belongs to God, when it's clearly not about us! Drawing from a raw, honest conversation with a circle of trusted sisters in Christ — and some deeply convicting scripture — this episode unpacks one of the most subtle and dangerous traps for high-achieving Christian women in business: taking the glory that belongs to God and making it about ourselves. In This Episode: The conversation in a circle of sisters that sparked this whole episode What "misappropriating glory" means — and why it is simply pride by another name Why having all the tools, gifts, and talents to make things happen can actually become a trap The question posed that will make every high-achiever pause: "Are you willing to not be used?" A vulnerable personal share about a quiet season in business — and what the Lord is saying through it Scripture References: Ephesians 2:10  Colossians 3:23-24  Psalm 37:7  Psalm 90:16-17  Psalm 2:10-11 Key Takeaway: Work is holy — but it was never about our gain. It was always about his glory. When outcomes don't look the way we expected, the question isn't "did I do enough?" The question is, "Am I willing to glorify him even in the stillness?" Because sometimes the most faithful thing you can do is be still and wait expectantly on him. Reflection Questions From This Episode: Are you working from a place of worship — or a place of self-reliance? Have you gotten ahead of the Lord in your productivity or marketing because you're afraid of what happens if you slow down? Are you willing to not be used in the way you expected? What would it look like to glorify him equally in a full season and a quiet one? Resource Mentioned: C.S. Jesus’ 5 Instructions for Letting Him Lead Your Christian Business

Play Episode Listen Later Jun 1, 2026 14:15

While we desire to let Jesus lead, wouldn't it be GREAT to have clear instructions on how to do that? Many of us high-achieving Christian women are letting Jesus lead in some places but not others. And the result of carrying that weight alone often looks like burnout, broken relationships, and a faith that stays neatly contained to Sunday. There's a better way — and Jesus gives us five clear instructions for it. In this episode, you'll learn: Why meditating on God's Word (Joshua 1:7–9) is the first and foundational step to letting Jesus lead your business — and what it actually produces What it means to truly follow Jesus as a Christian entrepreneur (hint: it requires sacrifice and the surrender of self-direction) How John 15 reframes everything about productivity and accomplishment — and why "without me, you can do nothing" is not a warning but a truth wrapped in grace & love Why we seek everyone else's counsel before we seek His — and how Matthew 6:33 corrects that pattern What walking in your new self (2 Corinthians, Ephesians) has to do with how you show up in your Christian business today The powerful example of Peter in Luke 5 — and what his "at your word, I will let down the net" teaches us about obedience in the face of doubt Scripture References: Deuteronomy 6:5 Matthew 22:37–38 Joshua 1:7–9 Matthew 16:24 Romans 8:28 John 15:5 Matthew 6:33 2 Corinthians 5:17 Ephesians 4:20–24 Luke 5:1–11 Key Takeaway: Whether you're scaling an established business or refining what you've built, this episode will remind you that Jesus has the exact instructions for how to let Him lead what He's already placed in your hands. And when you follow those instructions, you'll experience the full measure of His joy and peace as you work! Reflection Questions to Apply Today's Episode Which of the five instructions — meditate, follow, abide, seek, or walk in your new self — are you most naturally living out in your business, and which one is Jesus inviting you to surrender more fully to Him today? Where in your business are you leading yourself instead of letting Jesus lead? What would it look like to say, like Peter, "At your word, I will move" in that specific area? What old habits, past failures, or need for control are keeping you from walking fully in the new creation He's already made you to be — and what is one step you can take this week to release that to Him? Competition is a Myth: A Controversial Commentary, 351

What if competition is a myth for kingdom business leaders? That's the bold claim at the heart of this episode, but the truth is: your assignment is secured! Closing out May with a controversial commentary on competition: truth or myth? In This Episode: Why competition in the world can drive excellence — but operates very differently in the kingdom How coveting and comparison are the real dangers hiding behind competitive thinking What Exodus 31 reveals about God giving specific gifts and talents for specific commissions What Acts 17:24-26 tells us about appointed times and the boundaries of where and how we work Why Galatians 6:4-5 calls us to examine our own work — not compare ourselves to others The Hebrew meaning behind "boundary lines" in Psalm 16:6 — and why your inheritance is beautiful even when it doesn't look the way you expected Scripture References: Exodus 31:1-6 Acts 17:24-26 Galatians 6:4-5 Psalm 16:5-6 Key Takeaway: You are fearfully and wonderfully made — and so is every other kingdom business leader. What God has assigned you is specific and different from everyone else, so the world's idea of competition is never a factor for your Kingdom business! Reflection Questions From This Episode: Are you spending more energy watching what competitors are doing than seeking the Lord for your own message? Do you trust that the Lord has already aligned the right clients to work with you at the right time? What would it look like to stop trying to differentiate yourself by the world's standards and let him define what makes you distinct? What boundary lines has he drawn for you that you've been resisting or resenting? God made you ambitious, but He didn't make you for business as usual. What does it actually take to build a sustainable kingdom culture as your business grows? This week I'm joined by Stephanie Smith — CEO of Inspiration Travel, the premier Christian international travel company that has been creating custom-designed Christian travel events for over four decades. Stephanie is a second-generation CEO, a servant leader, and one of my own coaching clients — and she brings both deep wisdom and refreshing authenticity to one of the most important conversations we can have as Christian business leaders. If you are scaling, bringing on new team members, or simply wondering how to keep the culture the Lord gave you alive as your organization grows — this episode is for you. In This Episode: How Inspiration Travel's mission, vision, and five core values show up in their work Why Stephanie believes the purpose of her company might actually be the impact she makes on her employees What stewardship really means for a Christian CEO,  and why it goes far beyond finances The three C's of sustaining culture: clarity, consistency, and accountability Why nobody just absorbs culture — and what you actually have to do to build it intentionally Five practical ways Christian leaders can sustain culture as the business grows Why abiding with the Lord every morning is the foundation on which everything else is built Biblical Truth for Business:  Servant leadership is modeled after Jesus Stewardship of people, finances, and purpose is what makes culture thrive Operating in your specific God-given gifts and strengths is critical for leaders Stephanie's Five Practical Ways to Sustain Kingdom Culture: Hire and promote well — You can teach skills, but you cannot teach values Make your culture visible — Bring your values into every meeting, email, and conversation Invest in your team — Develop, encourage, and equip the people already in your organization Don't avoid the hard conversations — Accountability protects the culture you've built Anchor yourself in the Lord — Starting your day with Him is the foundation of everything Inspiration Travel's Five Core Culture Words: Meticulous. Generous. Intentional. First in class. Dedicated.  Key Takeaway: As Stephanie said, culture doesn't just happen — it is built intentionally through clarity, consistency, and accountability. And it starts at the top. If you want your team to be servant leaders, you have to be a servant leader first. If you want excellence, you have to model excellence. And sustainability all starts with being anchored in Jesus.  This Week's Reflection: Are you clearly communicating your culture or assuming people will just absorb it? Are you hiring and promoting based on values alignment or just skill level? What hard conversation have you been avoiding that could actually protect your culture? How would your mornings change if you started each day saying, "Lord, I'm giving you my day"? Stop Circling the Mountain: Trade Doubt for Conviction in Your Christian Business 349

“Lord, help my unbelief.” Do you say you believe, yet walk in doubt? That's the hard question at the heart of this episode. Building directly off last week's conversation about anchoring your identity in Christ, we're going deeper — into what it actually looks like to stop circling the mountain and trade doubt for conviction as you work, lead, and walk out your Kingdom assignment.  This one is going to make you think, and it may make you uncomfortable (which is a GOOD thing in the name of Jesus)! In This Episode: Why operating from doubt and fear in the face of God's truth is dishonoring to Him — and what to do about it What Colossians 2:4-23 says about being rooted, built up, and established in Christ — and why the world's arguments don't get a vote A deep dive into Ephesians 1 and 2 — and the I Am Tool that helps you see who God's word says you really are Why James 3:9 applies to the way you speak about yourself — not just others What 2 Timothy 1:7-12 reveals about fear, power, love, and sound judgment Knowing that your assignment was predestined before the foundation of the earth — and what that means for the doubt you're carrying today Scripture References: Colossians 2:4-23 Ephesians 1 & 2  James 3:9 2 Timothy 1:7-12 Key Takeaway: Your feelings are not facts — they are information. When doubt and fear show up, they are a signal to turn back to the Word, not a verdict on your assignment. God chose you, equipped you, and predestined this work before the foundation of the earth. The question is not whether he has prepared you. The question is whether you will be convicted by that truth — and walk in it. Reflection Questions From This Episode: How much longer do you want to operate from doubt and fear instead of coming into full agreement with his truth? Are you convicted by what the world shows you — or by what His Word says about you? Do you treat your feelings as facts or as information? Will you stop circling the mountain and take the next step? Coming up in May: How your anchored, convicted identity shapes the way you view competition and the culture you build in your organization. God made you ambitious. Who said your identity is based on those adjectives from your childhood report card, your last performance appraisal, or the Google review you received? Are you anchored there or in Christ? This episode draws directly from Chapter Three of Redefining Hustle: Navigating Success With Jesus and asks one of the most important questions a Christian woman in business can sit with: Where is your identity anchored? As we step into May, we're leaving the Money Matters series behind and opening a new conversation — one that gets to the very root of how we show up in business, in leadership, and in life. In This Episode: Why roles, titles, and accomplishments are imprecise and ever-changing — and therefore can never truly define us What John 1:1-3 and Genesis 1:26 reveal about who has the authority to define you How the fog of the world's expectations obscures your view of your gifts and your assignment The three faces of pride that keep us tethered to worldly definitions — and what happens when those definitions shift Scripture References: John 1:1-3 Genesis 1:26  Romans 8:29 Romans 8:14-17  Revelation 1:8 Key Takeaway: Your role doesn't define you. Jesus does. Your bank account doesn't define you. Jesus does. A bad review, a lost contract, a difficult season — none of it defines you. Jesus does. When your identity is anchored in him, you can weather every storm of business from a place of contentment, clarity, and unshakeable peace. Reflection Questions From This Episode: Have you walked with Jesus for a long time but wandered off track because something caused you to doubt him? Have you allowed your own map to take precedence over his? Have the shiny objects of outward success lulled you into believing your accomplishments are your entire identity? Where is your identity anchored today? Coming up in May: How your anchored identity shapes your conviction, your view of competition, and the culture you build in your organization. What if your money problems have nothing to do with money? What if it was actually about facing finances with faith instead of fear? Welcome to week four of the 2026 Money Matters series! We're closing out Financial Literacy Month with a conversation that ties everything together — and brings a fresh, deeply personal perspective to the table. Rachel Collins is a money coach who guides individuals, couples, and business owners to get unstuck with money so they can live with intention, purpose, and peace. She is the founder of Living Well Financial Coaching — a name inspired by Jesus' encounter with the Samaritan woman at the well — and she brings equal parts biblical wisdom, practical strategy, and genuine compassion to every client she serves. In This Episode: How a personal finance class during one of the busiest seasons of Rachel's life changed everything The emergency that proved God had already prepared the way — before Rachel even knew she needed it Why smart, capable, faith-filled women are privately overwhelmed by money The surprising truth: it's rarely about the numbers — it's about mindset, emotion, and identity Why fear of money can become just as much of an idol as the love of money The difference between the worldly money mindset and the biblical renewing of the mind Scripture References: 1 Timothy 6:10 Luke 16:10  Luke 14:28 James 1:17 Romans 12:2  Key Takeaway: Avoiding your finances doesn't make them go away — it just keeps you stuck. Welcome to week three of the 2026 Money Matters series! This week I'm joined by Heather Oynes, a money coach and millionaire net worth mentor who helps women entrepreneurs become financially savvy CEOs through intentional financial stewardship and kingdom wealth building. This conversation is packed with practical wisdom, biblical truth, and the kind of permission your soul has been waiting for. In This Episode: Heather's journey from teaching college friends how to manage small budgets to a pharmacist career, to coaching women business owners through biblically based stewardship Why "the Lord is our provider" is the most overlooked biblical truth in Christian business The Four P's: Praise, Pause, Pray, Plan — a simple framework for every dollar that comes in Scripture References: Philippians 4:19 Matthew 25:14-30 Luke 14:28 Proverbs 13:22 Key Takeaway: While more income is helpful, it's not the solution to learning how to respond vs. react in managing finances. You don't have to have perfect finances to experience peace! Seek wise counsel for biblical finances. Today's guest, Michal Caro, tells you how she helps business owners like you do just that. Welcome to week two of the 2026 Money Matters series! This month, we're having honest conversations about how high-achieving Christian women think about money — and today's guest is bringing both professional expertise and deep faith to the table. Michal Caro is a Certified Financial Planner who helps women pursue peace-filled stewardship through intentional, biblically based choices. Her mission is simple: help you release worry, align money with purpose, and find lasting confidence and peace. In This Episode: How God called Michal into financial planning — even when every other door kept closing Why she believes there's no such thing as a true money problem — God uses money to get our attention The comparison trap that keeps women stuck in anxiety regardless of income level Why you don't need to have it all together before seeking wise financial counsel The widow who didn't know she had enough to pay off her mortgage — until Michal showed her What Matthew 6 really says about planning, worry and trusting God with your financial future Why the money stuff is actually the easy part Scripture References: Matthew 6 Proverbs 15:22 Key Takeaway: You don't need to clean up your finances before seeking wise counsel — that's like saying you need to get healthy before going to the doctor. God has given you everything you need to do everything He has called you to do today. The peace you're looking for doesn't come from a number. It comes from Him. What does a white Ford Fusion with 150,000 miles have to do with your money mindset? Tune in for this lesson on money, idols, and obedience. Welcome to the 2026 Money Matters series! Every April for Financial Literacy Month, we dig into how high-achieving Christian women think about money — the stories we carry, the lids we put on our businesses, and what God's word actually says about wealth, possessions, and stewardship. This episode, we're kicking things off with a deeply personal story — the Mercedes Miracle. In This Episode: The surprising moment that inspired this episode — and what an odometer reading revealed How a luxury car became an idol representing worldly success and self-made identity Why every attempt to get rid of the car failed — and what God was doing in the waiting The Holy Spirit nudge at a networking event that changed everything What Matthew 6:19-24 says about treasure, money, and serving two masters Why even seven and eight-figure earners struggle with money mindset The Parable of the Talents — and whether fear is keeping your gifts from growing Scripture References: Matthew 6:19-24 — Treasures in heaven, the lamp of the body, serving two masters 1 Kings 17 — The widow's oil that never ran out Matthew 25:14-30 — The Parable of the Talents Key Takeaway: Money isn't the issue — it's the pedestal we put it on. When we get our hearts and minds into right alignment with what God wants us to do with money, he doesn't just provide — he multiplies. The question is whether fear, your money story, or the idols you're holding onto are blocking the flow. This Week's Reflection: What are you storing up where moth and rust can destroy? What is the Lord impressing upon you about how you steward what he's given you? This is Part 1 of the 2026 Money Matters series. Knock Down High Places: Idols Holding Your Business Back 343

Have you ever heard the saying that partial obedience is disobedience? In this episode, we're diving deep into what it means to be fully surrendered in your faith and your business — and confronting the "high places" we've left standing and how these are idols holding back our businesses. Drawing from 1 and 2 Kings, we explore the pattern of kings who followed God but stopped short of full obedience. Sound familiar? As ambitious, faith-driven women in business, we do the same thing — and it's costing us. In This Episode: What "high places" are and why they matter for your business today The biblical kings who got it right — and what set them apart How money, comparison, and chasing rooms can become modern-day idols Why partial obedience is still disobedience How God provides in ways we cannot see or comprehend Scripture References: 2 Kings 18 — King Hezekiah removes the high places 2 Kings 22 — King Josiah's full obedience 2 Kings 3 — King Joram's partial obedience 2 Kings 12 — King Joash does right, yet the high places remain 1 Samuel 8 — Israel demands a king, wanting to be like other nations 1 Kings 17 — Elijah, the ravens, and the widow; God's unexpected provision Genesis 3 — Adam, Eve, and the original high place Key Takeaway: When God's people obey Him fully, they are invincible. He doesn't just provide in addition — He provides in multiplication. The question isn't whether God can provide. The question is whether you're willing to knock down everything standing in your way of full obedience. This Week's Challenge: Take time to reflect: What are the high places that you haven't knocked down yet? Send me a DM or email and let me know — I'd love to walk through this with you. For the month of December 2025, I'm bringing you replays of the top four episodes from this year, according to my listener statistics.  In this timely replay, we're talking about moving from hopeless to making your hope list! If you are feeling a little hopeless with two weeks to go in 2025, I pray that this episode comes to you at exactly the right time because that is how powerful our Lord is. Are you feeling hopeless in this season of your business? Maybe things have not gone as you expected or as you're looking toward the rest of this year, you're wondering why, when, how. What if you could change hopeless to a hope list of God's goodness?  In this episode, I share the story of how one client found hope in this exercise, and I challenge you to do the same! Because God is good all the time, and all the time He is good. Always and in all ways! The Bible repeatedly shows us goodness as a core quality of the Lord. You can't find His goodness if you don't know what to look for, and you can't find Him if you don't know Him. Where and how often are you looking? The more you know His word, you will know His voice! For the month of December 2025, I'm bringing you replays of the top four episodes from this year, according to my listener statistics. In this replay, we address one of the number one topics in online searches: how do I find the Lord's Divine guidance in my Christian business? Divine guidance is a phrase many women Christian women business owners search for as they seek to understand how the Lord is leading them. Do you find it hard to find the Lord's divine guidance? In this episode, I share 5 ways from the Lord's instruction to us in Scripture to seek and find it: Meditate on His WordFollow HimAbide in HimSeek HimWalk in Your New Self See the Scripture references below for each of these instructions! So often as high achievers, we are really good at directing our own path and using our own map. The problem is our map may take us in a direction that the Lord didn't intend for us because we're following the world's patterns. While we think we know best and we like to be in control, the only way to know the right next steps is to let Jesus lead. I call this navigating success with Jesus! I pray this show blesses you on your journey of navigating success as a Christian woman, and helps you embrace that God made you ambitious, but He didn't make you to do business as usual. I'm the coach who helps you trade overachievement and self-reliance for navigating success with Jesus.  SCRIPTURE FOR FURTHER STUDYJoshua 1:7-9Matthew 16:24John 15:4-5Matthew 6:33Ephesians 4:22-24 BIG NEWS! Have you experienced moments of fog in your business when everything seems out of focus? Maybe you were wrestling the wheel out of Jesus' hands to regain "control," and the fog set in, leaving you crying out, "Lord, where are you?!" Or maybe He was redirecting you or calling you into a bigger assignment, and you lost focus because you couldn't see the full plan ahead of you, or even beyond the first step of obedience.Similar fog happens when we're double-minded: trying to multitask between His plan and our own. Recently, as I read the book of James, I was struck by the clarity of his instructions for overcoming that tendency to be double-minded, and Holy Spirit reminded me of the initialism He'd given me for the word FOCUS: FocusOnChristUntilSteady In this episode, we're digging into James 4: 7-10, and the steps to F.O.C.U.S. found there: Submit to God.Resist the devil.Draw near to GodCleanse hands and heartsHumble yourselves As you ponder those five simple steps, remember: God made you ambitious, but He didn't make you for business as usual. Business as usual looks like focusing on yourself, your plans, and your achievements. In the wake of the brutal killing of Iryna Zarutska, the assassination of Charlie Kirk, another school shooting, and the ambush and murder of three law enforcement officers in York, PA, this episode poses two questions to all of us: are we being conformed to the world's patterns or seeking the Jesus and the full meaasure of the Word to be transformed by the renewing of our mind? And how do we reflect Christ to this broken world, and renew our minds in times of chaos and conflict? In the wake of tragedy, are we conformed to the world or transformed by Jesus to reflect Him to our broken world? The five points that I pray you'll take away from this episode - and that point you back to Jesus above all: 1. As believers, our only identity is Child of God. Galatians 3:24-28, 1 John 3:1 2. Every human is an image-bearer of God for whom Christ died, and we are instructed to love even those who oppose us and Jesus, and choose not to follow Him. Our job is to share the gospel, and it is the Lord's authority to save, judge, and discipline. Genesis 1:26-27, Matthew 28:19-20, 1 John 2:2, 1 Timothy 2:4-6 3. We are His ambassadors, and our businesses are a place where we encounter those who experience Jesus as we reflect Him. 2 Corinthians 5:20-21, Matthew 5:14-16 4. Let us consume the full Word, not just highlights or snippets, and use our amazing brains to do the same with news. Romans 12:2, Romans 10:17 5. Above all, seek Him first in everything. Before you read, listen, respond, react, and interact. The common world doesn't understand why this is necessary, but the children of God are not common! Matthew 6:33, 1 Peter 2:9 This isn't our usual episode, but this is what the Lord gave me to share. I choose to be obedient above all. How do you struggle to let Jesus lead your Christian business? This was the first of four questions I asked in my social media survey to understand how Christian women in business navigate success with Jesus in the lead. It was eye-opening to hear from 100 women who willingly bared their souls in talking about their challenges and desires in letting Jesus lead. Their responses fell into five categories: Trusting Him.Surrendering to His will over their own.Understanding if they hear His voice (and believe it)Allowing His timing over their own.Finding self-worth in Him, not their productivity or achievements. This is the first of 3 episodes sharing the data from the survey, and I'm betting their responses resonate with you, my dear sister in Christ! Listen in and see what speaks to you. Dispell the Myth of Hustle as a Christian Entrepreneur, 308

What is the myth of hustle, and how do you dispel the idea through scripture as a Christian entrepreneur?  It was June 2021 when I attended my first Christian business conference. On the last day of the conference, they were giving away prizes, and for the first time ever I won, I. A prize as my name was called, I could see the sparkly tumbler in my favorite colors, the blues and greens of a Caribbean sea. Once back at my seat with a sparkly tumbler in hand, I saw the message on it: "Hustle til your haters ask if you're hiring."That was the moment that I began to question the definition. While the worldly definition of hustle is focused on aggressive, frantic, and constant work, I challenge us to dispel this myth by redefining hustle as emulating Jesus' work ethic. And ultimately surrender our self-reliance and let Jesus lead!
