Welcome back adult family!Thank you for joining us on another episode Are We Adulting Yet. This week we dive deep into marriage. However, this isn't your average marriage talk. Instead of discussing a relationship with another person, we decided to ask each other if we would marry ourselves. It's so easy to grow up and form relationships with others to see if they are marriage material. But do we ever ask ourselves if we would be a good person to marry? Do we believe we possess the qualities we wish to find in a husband or wife? Even if you are already married, this is a good question to continue to ask yourself to cultivate and keep healthy relationships growing. There is beauty in being able to reflect on your behaviors and habits as we grown. Is this something we should focus more on as we get older? Let us know in the comments below. For our grown folk segment, Dali discusses her healing journey and how messy it is becoming for her. Healing ourselves as we get older isn't always just bubble baths and face masks. It can become very messy and scary when we have to face our traumas, and Dali is experiencing this now more than ever. Jackie talks about her struggles with balancing her everyday life. Parenting is hard and it's a lot easier than one may think to lose yourself while trying to juggle so many tasks with children. It helps to talk about it. Also, we are currently taking any suggestions for any future guest appearances on the show. We are back with an all new episode of Are We Adulting Yet! This week, we covered a topic that we're sure a lot of us adults face as we get older. Exploring our inner child is not only beneficial for the relationships we create with others, It's most beneficial for the relationship we have with ourselves. Our inner child is an expression of not just your child self, but your lived experience of all life stages. You may channel your inner child through play or by doing something you've always enjoyed doing. Like many of us though, that inner child may be wounded due to passed traumas or neglect. As we dive deeper into adulthood, we realize that a lot of our internal problems and struggles are because we are living with a wounded inner child. We may see that a lot of our fears, anxiety or doubt stems from this. And when we dig deep to understand this, we then allow space in our lives to reparent that inner child and create a healthier and happier life for ourselves. A part of adulting means we are now responsible for every aspect of our lives, including healing from our past. Tune in to hear what helps us and others during this healing journey. Also, we are currently taking any suggestions for any future guest appearances on the show. Hi Everyone, I'm Caitlin Murray, and this is Big Time Adulting the podcast. I'm a mom of three and have been through some serious shitake, and I am here to take it deep with on parenthood, adulthood, womanhood, and whatever other things end in the hood that we can think of to discuss. We are going to get deep, raw, honest, and even taboo sometimes on fascinating topics, but we are always going to laugh at the nonsense along the way. Join in with me to feel deeply, provoke your inner spirit, and laugh until a little pee comes out. If you've been looking to find a podcast to relate to as a woman and a mom and you love to keep it real, you will enjoy Big Time Adulting

In this bonus episode I'm going to talk to you about why this podcast isn't for you. Yep. You heard that right. It's true, this podcast isn't for everyone. My hop is to give you the tools to change your life. I want you to be able to listen and feel impacted by the words that you're hearing. If you're 100 percent happy with how your life is now and you don't want to make any changes, this podcast is probably not for you. If you want to transform your life, whether you feel like you're living life for the first time or you just want to make some minor adjustments, you're in the right place. So let me tell you a little bit about myself and the direction I see taking this podcast so you can see if it's right for you. Those of you who have been following for a long time know that this journey actually started for me. When I thought I had cancer. I freaked out for a bit and then suddenly I was like, you know what, if I have cancer, I don't know what's going to happen. I need to really start living my life. Up until about two years ago I was very much an introvert and I didn't really allow myself to live my life. Part of that was because I was extremely overweight. And I kept telling myself, really my whole life, you know, when I lose weight, I'm going to skydive or scuba dive or go jet skiing and all this stuff that I wanted to do and try, but I was too afraid to do it when I was bigger. While I was finally living my life, I realized how much I had really missed out on. Not only the experiences, but with those experiences come a lot of lessons that as an adult, I still hadn't learned . Things that you should have learned as a kid , like socializing or initiating conversation. I know these sound like trivial things, but believe it or not, when you're overweight, people kind of ignore you. I belong to a lot of trauma support groups online. So I know that I'm not the only one. I want people to be able to listen to the podcast and just transform their lives. In fact, not too long ago, I actually made a Reel/Short about this. Those of you who know me, know that how much I love to learn. I really do. And as I've been starting my business and things like that, there's still a lot that I don't know. And when I have a problem, I usually consult Google or YouTube or podcasts. I consult the experts. A few months ago I decided I was going to start a podcast so that I can have experts come on and explain things that they're really, really passionate about. And that my listeners and I can really learn from someone who has studied it because they love it. And that has been so phenomenal. I can't even explain to you how impactful each one of these interviews has been for me. That is my hope for the people who are listening to my podcast. I want to give you guys tools to change your life. And I want you to be able to listen and feel impacted by the words that you're hearing. Now, as I say this, I want to point out that not every episode is going to be for every person. People from all walks of life are going to be welcome on my podcast, because you never know when that one piece of information is going to change someone's life. And even if you don't have a history of trauma, even if you've lived your life up to this point the way you've always wanted to, there's still things to be learned. If you're learning, trying to grow your business, trying to succeed in life. Stick around, because I am also interviewing people who are really, really good at doing those things. And so if you come across an episode and you don't like it, don't write off the show entirely. Try a different episode, because they really are all going to be different. It's just people who I feel a connection to that I feel that I can learn something and convey that message to my listeners. I'm open to input. So if you have a topic or a question or something that you want me to explore in episode, shoot me a DM or email. And I will find an expert to come on here and answer that for you. Welcome back family and friends! It’s your two favorite girls bringing you another fresh episode of Are We Adulting Yet. This week we share some new and exciting news in our grown folk business. We then go on to talk about the NFL. Yup, football. First of all, our hometown is going to the Super Bowl...in our hometown! Yes, Tampa is making history this year and we are all here for it! After receiving that great news, we then heard the horrible story of former Seattle Seahawks offensive tackle, Chad Wheeler, who was arrested for beating his girlfriend and leaving her unconscious twice. After hearing this, we decided it was only right to talk about the very common problem many of us face as adults, and in some cases as children too. Abusive relationships are never ok, no matter what kind of abuse it is. We want every single one of you all to know the warning signs, what to do if you need help, and how to be safe!
