What really happens to a cat's brain as they age… and is cognitive decline inevitable? This week Back in the Closet, we are joined by Carter Easler—self-proclaimed science junkie and passionate researcher—to dig into the real data behind cognitive health in cats.We are talking about:• What the research actually shows about feline cognitive decline• How common cognitive dysfunction really is in aging cats• The connection between brain health and longevity• Early signs cat parents often miss• And what we can do to support healthy brain function - starting nowIf you have ever noticed changes in your cat's behavior as they age… or you want to help protect their long-term health… this is a conversation you do not want to miss.We are asking the questions, diving into the science, and breaking it all down in a way that actually makes sense—so you can make empowered decisions for your kitties.Because when it comes to their health… knowledge is everything.
Do you find yourself stuck in your head, turning a decision over and over but getting no closer to knowing what to do? I remember sitting having a set of options open to my after my A-levels. Different universities, different sponsored placements, all of them good. And I couldn't decide. I was in tears, terrified of making the wrong choice, convinced that if I just thought harder, I would find the answer. We live in a culture that says analytical thinking is key. But trying to think your way to clarity ties you in knots. As Jamie Smart puts it: You - Contaminated Thinking = Clarity. And that contaminated thinking is usually fear. Fear of getting it wrong, fear of regret, fear of being judged. The more we try to think through that fear, the busier our minds get. Clarity is not something we find. It comes to us. Like a 3D image from the 90's Magic Eye patterns, it only appears when you stop forcing it and let your gaze soften. The more you trust that your innate wisdom is there and that you will be okay whatever happens, the more naturally and quickly clarity arrives. If you overthink decisions or struggle to trust your own instincts, this episode will shift how you relate to your own thinking.
You are not alone if you don't FEEL like praying. But I will tell you there is most likely something else going on beneath that 'stuck in a rut' feeling. In honesty and confession, clarity comes. In this episode, I share part of my own journey of moving through fear, finding my voice, and learning to walk more boldly in the calling God placed on my life. We talk about spiritual warfare, identity in Christ, and the deeper struggles that can keep Christian women silent, stuck, or second guessing what God is asking them to do. My prayer is that this episode helps you recognize where fear may be holding you back, reminds you of who you are in Christ, and gives you the courage to take your next step in obedience. If you know God has put a message, a book, or a calling inside of you, but you have felt overwhelmed about how to move forward, this conversation will encourage you. Welcome back to The Busy Vibrant Mom podcast! I'm so glad you're here. Have you ever opened your email, your calendar, or your planner and instantly felt overwhelmed? Lately, I've been on a mission to get a better handle on my email — and I'll be honest, I had almost 200 unread messages just sitting there. The system I had in place wasn't working. I felt like I was constantly in reaction mode trying to keep up with tasks, get back to people, remember appointments, manage my kids' schedules and somehow still figure out what I was actually supposed to be focusing on. And more often than not, I'd start in my inbox and never even make it to the things that actually mattered. Does any of that sound familiar? That feeling of a never-ending to-do list. Trying to keep up with everything, but never quite feeling caught up? Recently, I attended a workshop by Lori Oberbroeckling on decluttering your calendar — and it was a game changer. I discovered there was one small thing I was doing wrong that was throwing everything off. In today's episode, we're going to walk through how to declutter that overwhelming to-do list and the one simple shift that brought me so much more clarity. And honestly? It might just be the missing piece for you too. So grab your coffee, take a deep breath, and let's dive in. Why do so many leaders struggle to make clear decisions? In this episode of the LEITWOLF® Podcast, Stefan addresses one of the most common challenges in leadership: important decisions that get delayed. Not because information is missing – but because too much is at stake. Doubt, fear of consequences, and too many voices in your head often lead to hesitation or inaction. Stefan explains why inaction is often more costly than making the wrong decision and why clarity does not come from endless analysis, but from deciding consciously. He shows how defining the real decision, setting clear time boundaries, and acting with sufficient – not perfect – information can dramatically improve decision quality. At the core is a simple principle: reach a decision within 48 hours, align it with your strategy, and take ownership. Leadership is not about avoiding decisions – it's about making them with clarity and conviction, and then executing them. ––– Do you like the LEITWOLF® Leadership podcast? If you feel stuck in your calling, this episode is for you. In my last episode, I shared how God used neuroscience to get me unstuck in my calling. But before I could move forward, before I could take bold steps, before I could activate what God was asking me to build… I had to get clear. In this episode, I'm breaking down why clarity is the first step to walking in God's calling for your life. So many Christian women think they have a discipline problem. They believe they just need more motivation, more willpower, or more consistency. But after years of coaching women through identity work, brain-based behavior change, and biblical mindset transformation, I've learned this: You're not stuck because you're lazy. You're stuck because you're unclear. We're talking about: How neuroscience impacts decision-making and calling Why your brain cannot move toward what it cannot see The connection between faith and clarity How to discern God's will without overthinking The hidden belief that desire is sinful (and why that belief keeps you stuck) The three types of clarity every woman needs before she can move forward If you've been praying about your purpose, second-guessing your next step, or circling the same decision over and over, this episode will help you understand what's actually happening in your brain and your spirit. Clarity is not a personality trait. It's a skill. And discernment can be strengthened. If you're ready to stop circling and start moving, I created a space specifically for this first step. ✨ Join me inside The Discernment Room A faith-based, brain-based monthly membership focused on clarity, discernment, identity, and direction. This is Part 4 of my 5-Part podcast series for perfectionist entrepreneurs. It's all about why personal development is the secret to building your business and my simple personal development process that works for perfectionists who are building businesses. I wouldn't have a successful business if I hadn't figured out how to make great business decisions even when I was scared of getting it wrong. I used to umm and ahh, procrasti-research, procrasti-learn and second guess myself. I wanted to get every decision right because I didn't want to embarrass myself, I didn't want to waste precious time and money and I didn't want to publicly put myself out there if I was only going to change my mind one week later. In today's episode, I'm sharing the simple personal development work that my clients and I have done to make great business decisions even when you're scared you'll get it wrong. And the answer isn't just to make an 'imperfect' decision. That doesn't work for perfectionists! So instead, I'm sharing a simple and practical approach that does - as well as some personal stories that I know you'll be able to relate to. Our conversation on attachment styles continues! This week, we're getting into disorganized attachment style, aka fearful avoidant. One of the reasons this style is so hard to understand is that it's rooted in contradictory desires—wanting something while simultaneously fearing it. It can be as confusing for the people with this attachment style as it is for the people in relationship with them. Holistic therapist and podcaster Hayden Rosato joins me to talk us through how this attachment style differs from anxious and avoidant, what beliefs come up for those with disorganized attachment, how it impacts relationships, and how we start the healing process. Looking for more episodes on attachment styles? Try episode 6—it's all about the anxious/avoidant relationship trap. Episode 95 is about avoidant attachment. Clarity is not something you hire. It is something you create. In this episode, host Victoria Collier explains why so many law firm owners look for a coach when what they really need is something far more powerful: stillness. If you feel overwhelmed, uncertain, or stuck in constant motion, this conversation shows you why the answers you want are already inside you. You just haven't slowed down enough to hear them. In this episode, you'll learn: • Why lawyers confuse confusion with discomfort • How constant reaction mode blocks intuition and big picture thinking • What "white space moments" are and why they matter • The three questions every law firm owner should ask during scheduled silence • How your emotions reveal the real truth about what you want • Why clarity comes from facts and data, not from drama • How to align your goals with your actual values, not someone else's • When coaching becomes valuable and when it does not • One question that cuts through noise and reveals what matters most today If you are considering coaching, selling, or restructuring your firm, start here. The clarity you want might not require a coach. It may require courage, quiet, and a notebook. Victoria Collier is a seasoned attorney, entrepreneur, and expert in law firm sales and valuations. With a background in law and accounting, including her prior military service and CPA training, she brings a unique perspective on the financial intricacies of business valuations. Victoria helps transform law firms into more valuable and sellable businesses, guiding attorneys through life after law. We want to hear from you! Last week I gave you permission to want and to dream with God. Today I'm showing you why you still hesitate once you finally get that clarity. If you've ever said, "Okay, I know my next step… so why am I second-guessing again?"—this one's for you. I'm breaking down the brain behind the battle: how your beautiful, well-meaning brain prioritizes safety over purpose, why new = "danger" to your nervous system, and how that turns into over-planning, perfection, and procrastination. I'll share my own pattern (hello, lifelong second-guesser), a simple trailhead metaphor you'll never forget, and the exact mini practice I use with clients to start rewiring safety toward faith: "This is my brain trying to keep me safe… but I am safe with God." By the end, you'll feel relief (you're not broken), language for your specific pattern, and a small action to start leading your brain instead of letting it lead you. In this conversation, Adam Roach and Jess Webber discuss the importance of clarity in coaching language, emphasizing that clients are more likely to buy based on clear outcomes rather than inspirational or fluffy language. They outline three key strategies for coaches: calling out fluff, creating confidence through clarity, and shifting from inspirational to transformational language. The discussion highlights the need for coaches to articulate their offers clearly to attract clients effectively.TakeawaysMost coaches use fluffy language that doesn't sell.Clients buy clarity, not inspiration.Aspirational statements make coaches feel good but don't convert.Strong offers are based on a clear person, problem, and payoff.Clarity in offers boosts confidence for both coaches and clients.Transformational language is more effective than inspirational language.Coaches should focus on the outcomes they provide to clients.Fluff in coaching language can lead to confusion and lost sales.Clear, measurable outcomes attract the right clients.Coaches should align their offers with the needs of their target audience.Chapters00:00 The Fluff Factor in Coaching Language02:59 Clarity Over Inspiration05:53 Building Strong Offers08:46 Transformational Language in Coaching11:46 The Power of Outcomes14:53 Confidence Through Clarity

Have you ever found yourself thinking, “I don't know if I should stay, and I don't know if I should go”? That painful in-between is called relationship ambivalence, and it can quietly drain years of your life if you don't get clarity. In this episode, I'm joined by relationship researcher Dr. Merideth Thompson, who knows that limbo all too well. After staying stuck for nearly a decade, she created Partner Lab, a research-based company focused on improving relationships as a cornerstone of overall wellness. Together we'll explore what the science says about relationship health, the “Clarity Matrix” she developed to cut through the fog, and the real-life questions that matter most when deciding whether to stay or leave. We also talk openly about staying “for the kids,” how familiar but unhealthy dynamics keep us hooked, and why actions, not words, show you whether your partner is really invested. Our goal isn't to tell you whether to stay or go. It's to give you the clarity and confidence to trust yourself again. Do you ever feel like life is harder for you than it is for everyone else? On the outside you're smart, capable, and creative. But inside you feel overwhelmed, scattered, and constantly behind. That could be a sign of undiagnosed ADHD. In this episode, I'm talking with Shanna Pearson, Founder and President of Expert ADHD Coaching, about how ADHD often shows up in women, why it's so frequently mistaken for anxiety or depression, and the lifelong impact of being misunderstood. We also share practical tools to help you externalize the chaos in your mind and stay present with the people you love. As you listen, reflect on this:
Sharpen your pencils, grab a fresh notebook—it's back-to-school season for your business! Just like the excitement of new school supplies and a fresh start, this time of year gives us the perfect opportunity to reset and set yourself up for a strong finish to the year. In this episode of Business by the Books, Danielle Hayden, reformed corporate CFO and owner of Kickstart Accounting, Inc., shares her simple but powerful framework for getting back on track after summer and closing out the year in a way you'll feel proud of. Think of it as your “second January,” a fresh chance to refocus, reenergize, and reset your goals for Q3 and Q4. Key Takeaways: Reset Your CEO Mindset: Learn how to pause, reflect, and set yourself up for success by focusing on what's working (and letting go of what's not). Schedule CEO Time: Carve out dedicated time each week to think strategically about your business instead of getting lost in day-to-day fires. Get Clarity on Your Numbers: Update your books, review your income statement and balance sheet, and uncover where your money is really going. Prep for Q4 with Intention: Map out expenses, holiday schedules, and one clear financial goal so you can finish the year with focus, not overwhelm. Manifest, get clarity, feel your dreams come to life in your dreams!!! Part 2 of the Lucid Dreaming Journal test drive unfolds in this episode of THE SOULFAM PODCAST. Inspired by a recent interview (https://youtu.be/Hd-SDnCmEPY?si=R4JoduoC5418eDS9) with Haylee the Lucid Mystic @TheLucidMystic @The.DreamRealm @TheLucidMysticsSleepMusic, THE SOULFAM PODCAST takes another stab at the plausibility of lucid dream journaling and its ability to assist the expansion of consciousness and understanding of ourselves and our own dreams. And guess what? IT WORKS!! In this reflection on a week of dream journaling including a how to start your own dream journaling process, THE SOULFAM PODCAST affirms the magic of annotating and documenting your sleep state and the dreams that eminate during them. That alone opens a whole new sense of consciousness. Dream journaling puts you in touch with your own manifestation powers -- something you inherently possess. It also gives you the clarity needed to understand issues, situations, relationships or even opportunities in your life. At least that's the experience of THE SOULFAM PODCAST in part 2 of Lucid Dream Journal testing. Advised by Haylee the Lucid Mystic, true lucid dreaming takes time and skill potentially. In THE SOULFAM PODCAST lucid dream journal test, Haylee offered that the dreams were not yet at the lucid level, but more in the observation phase. YET HIGHLY INSIGHTFUL, symbolic and even reassuring, a dive into lucid dream journaling can be super empowering and even energizing and grounding. And if you are super curious about your dreams, desire some guidance or want to listen some amazing lucid sleep dream music, follow Haylee on any her three YT channels or contact her through @TheLucidMystic to make appointment for dream interpretation, kindness and coaching. 1. Have a regular pre-sleep routine (tea, meditation, comfy pillows, soft music,( NOTE: Diana listens every night to a rebuke negative energy prayer posted on March 27, 2025) @therealflorina on Insta 2. Ask a question you seek the answer to just before you fall asleep 3. Write down your dreams or jot some notes as soon as you wake up, even if it's just a couple scribbles in the middle of the night. 4. Add more details during the day, as you recall your dreams. BE SURE TO ADD HOW YOUR FELT DURING THE DREAM...this is the most powerful aspect of lucid dream journaling. 5. Make an entry in your journal every day, even if you feel didn't dream. Be sure note how you felt during the day while you were awake. THEN LET THE MAGIC UNFOLD!! Hopefully you'll find the answers you're looking for in your dreams and through this journey! And may your dreams, dream your most precious dreams into reality!! It's a jedi mind twist!! But it works!!! Join me on a journey through the challenges of entrepreneurship, particularly the struggle of managing numerous ideas and the importance of focusing on implementation. I'll outline five key steps to help entrepreneurs transition from idea overload to actionable execution, emphasizing the importance of clarity, accountability, and support throughout the process. Takeaways Entrepreneurs often face overwhelming amounts of ideas and information. Focusing on one idea at a time is crucial for success. Implementation is more important than just having ideas. A structured approach can help in breaking down goals into manageable tasks. Accountability and support from others can enhance progress and motivation. Distractions and time-wasters must be identified and minimized. Regular reflection and adjustment of focus are necessary for growth. Creating a 'Focus Fast' can help eliminate distractions. Collaboration and mentorship can provide valuable guidance. Obedience to one's calling is essential for fulfilling potential. 00:00 The Journey of Entrepreneurship 06:08 From Ideas to Implementation 14:31 Overcoming Distractions and Building Focus 18:35 Stewarding Your Vision with Excellence I'd love to walk with you inside our upcoming Podcast Subscription Membership or the Resist and Roar Collective—a coaching and community space where I help you launch your podcast, or take your existing podcast or platform to the next level. In this episode, I chat with Mike Fink, a decision-making expert who's made it his mission to help women figure out their next steps when considering divorce. With an impressive background, including a master's in psychology from Yale, Mike dives into the backstory that led him to focus on this field, including a rocky business partnership that taught him the ins and outs of indecision.Mike breaks down the brain science behind decision-making, explaining how our survival instincts can keep us stuck on tough choices. He introduces us to the concept of the three brains: our primal brain for survival, our emotional brain, and our logical brain. It's the primal brain that often stalls us, fending off change in the name of safety. He gets into the nuts and bolts of his process, which includes "value mapping," where you pinpoint what really matters in your relationship. It's all about giving the primal brain a visual nudge with colorful cues so it can "see" the logic it's missing. Mike shares how this approach leads to clarity and a sense of peace, helping people decide their path without lingering doubts. For anyone caught in the emotional whirlwind of divorce decisions, Mike's approach offers straightforward tools to make choices that align with what you truly want. It's about getting clear, confident, and comfortable with whatever step you choose to take next.About the Guest:Mike Fink is a clarity and decision-making expert, coach, and innovator. Following a painful turning point, he created The Decoding Grid™, a revolutionary process for high-stakes decision-making. In the last episode I had James R Doty on the show. James is a neurosurgeon, a professor at Stanford, and author of Mind Magic: The Neuroscience of Manifestation And How It Changes Everything. I keep hearing feedback about the show and what most people are responding to is the concept of focusing on what you want, not on what you don't want. Our survival oriented, fear and negativity biased minds give primary focus to what we don't want. This is incredibly important. It's monumental and fundamental to the lives and realities we find ourselves in. Let me walk you through the eight key areas of life and give you a quick example you will easily grasp, and can immediately put into action. Friends, speaking of the 8 key areas of life, there is nothing I am more passionate about that helping people clarify what authentically drives them, and getting them in alignment. I have a special fondness for helping people work at what drives them. Notice I didn't say, get you driven to work. That's where we get it backwards. I want you working, at what drives you. If invite you to email me. Let's talk. I promise a personal response. kmiller@kevinmiller.co. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
