Zooming with Kirk Bohls (@kbohls) and Cedric Golden (@CedGolden) of HookEm.com (aka the Austin American-Statesman), Brice Cherry and John Werner return to dissect this week's showdown in Austin with the Longhorns: • As of right now, the Baylor-Texas game is still a go for Saturday as the Bears are 2-3 this year —  2 games played, 3 canceled. Has this tumultuous season going like you expected, and what's the likelihood that the game still hits the scrap heap before Saturday? • A typically ridiculous season for the Longhorns saw them plummet from No. 8 to an unranked 2-2 record: Kirk, Ced, what is the chief issue with this program in terms of not quite living up to expectations? • So, Baylor hasn't played in three weeks. And Texas has had two weeks to prepare. What do you guys expect from this game, and who are you taking? • The Big 12 serves up one Top 25 matchup this week as Matt Campbell's No. 17 Iowa State team travels to Stillwater to face the league's only unbeaten, Oklahoma State. There's no way the Cowboys run the table, right? So is this the week? • Let's say you had to be quarantined with one Big 12 football coach. Who are you bringing the party and why? Texas head coach Tom Herman met with the media and provided an update on wide receiver Jordan Whittington. Reports surfaced on Sunday night that Whittington would miss time with an abdominal injury. Herman stated he had a hip flexor injury that would sideline him for 2-3 weeks but wouldn't require surgery. What does that mean for the slot receiver role? Who will stand up for this offense? Will it be Jake Smith or one of the reserves in Brendan Schooler and Kai Money? Plus an update was provided on the Baylor Bears COVID-19 cases. They halted football activities prior to the Oklahoma State game that was postponed until later in the season. It was reported by Dave Aranda that the school has no new positive cases among the football team. A positive step towards the Baylor-Texas game Saturday. In the second segment, Patrick and Cami discussed a new top 10. The top 10 most annoying fanbases in college football. Was there any glaring omissions? Plus a chat about Urban Meyer to Texas. Week 9's games: pretty okay! There's an interesting Virginia Tech-Pitt clash on Thursday, a number of noon games you can watch instead of Kentucky-Mizzou on Saturday, a Baylor-Texas matchup that surely won't turn into a bunch of yelling and accusation hurling, one of Washington's last regular season chances to do something people will pay attention to, a Wisconsin-Nebraska game that one team will leave still undefeated, and Clemson-Florida State. Some of these games we talk about with analysis and thought! Many of them we do not and it's the same old bullshit and dumb jokes! One nice-ish thing is said about Notre Dame! Sort of! Papa John is discussed aaaaaagain! And we check in on Jason's bet with Steven Godfrey on whether or not Kansas can win 3 games. (Spoiler: maybe, but you'll need to wait a little.)
