Another really nice day in the Coulee Region with a high of 84° expected. Gonna be warmer on Friday & Saturday with highs nearing 90°. As we usually do on Thursdays, we kicked things off with the "Thursday Song" and we talked to Office Cora to see what she's up to this weekend in the 715! We also asked each other hypothetical questions on "Hypothetical Thursday"…with Jean's question for Brian being: "If you were a teacher, what subject would you teach?" And Brian's question for Jean was: "If you could choose one magic item to use for the rest of your life, which would you take?" In the news this morning, the La Crosse City council will vote on a possible $144,000 settlement for a man that was run over by a police squad car in September of 2024, a trial date has been set for Josie Dikeman, Governor Evers asks for FEMA support in the wake of the recent flooding in the Milwaukee area, and the latest on "Frankenstein" rabbits that are being spotted in Colorado. In sports, the Brewers remain red hot by beating the Pirates again yesterday & triggering the "Free Burgers" promotion at George Webb restaurants in Milwaukee. We looked at the NFL's week 2 preseason schedule, and we talked about a couple of NBA teams that are getting sold, including the Boston Celtics & the Portland Trailblazers. And speaking of teams getting sold, it looks like the Minnesota Twins are no longer up for sale! Elsewhere in sports, NASCAR has decided NOT to limit celebrations in victory lane after the Connor Zilisch injury last weekend, and speaking of injuries….apparently Matthew Stafford is battling against his bad back with an "Ammortal Chamber". We had a new "Karen of the Day" who was very upset about people using a public beach, and we also ran some audio from our recent interview with Shaun McCoy of "Blood Ocean" and formerly "Bobaflex". His new band has some new music coming out this week and you can hear our interview and the new tune right here. Cool story about a cancer survivor who paid it forward by purchasing parking passes for other people who are battling the deadly disease. A woman who works as a custodian at Texas A&M while raising her four children just got four different college degrees, and a kid who really wanted to play baseball got a very special kidney transplant. We let you know what's on TV today/tonight and we checked out the trailer for the upcoming documentary on Charlie Sheen! And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about some kids who stole a train by watching YouTube videos on how to operate it, a woman who got drunk and upset at her phone and decided to try and shoot it with her gun, a man who was left in his reclining chair for months by his daughter and ended up with necrosis & maggots in his flesh, a passenger in an F-15 who accidentally hit the "eject" button while the plane was on the ground, and a guy in England who broke his arm because of his massive penis.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Why would you want to be an owner who can not make any decisions and a would you rather Wednesday.
Jones and Keefe got into the New England Patriots and their expectations for two days of joint practices with the Vikings in Minnesota. The guys answered a round of questions on a Would You Rather? Wednesday. Finally, Jones and Keefe discussed the latest in the sale of the Boston Celtics.
House talks Suns, Celtics, Western COnference, and more.
Hear first hand from an NBA champion and Finals MVP what it takes to win the biggest prize. Cedric is engrossing as he describes the nitty gritty of what made the Celts Championship run to their 18th banner so magical and what it takes to be an M+NBA champion. Cedric gives a great insider's take on the Celtics teams he played on and on the storied franchise overall. I'm a huge Celtics fan but you don't have to be a Celtics fan to love this conversation - it's a fun behind-the-scenes take on what it takes to be a world champion in sports for anyone.
Ohtani returns to the mound in Anaheim tonight as a Dodger. If hes pitching well, do you leave him in for 6-7-8 innings? Also, with news that the outgoing Celtics owner will now no longer remain as governer after the team is sold, we wonder if Jeanie Buss may face the same fate.
(0:00) Felger, Michael Holley, and Jim Murray open the third hour discussing the latest news on the Boston Celtics sale and Wyc Grousbeck. (14:08) More thoughts on the sale of the Celtics and Wyc Grousbeck possibly no longer being a Governor of the team. Plus, thoughts on the Celtics being left off the Christmas day slate of games. (23:08) After dropping their third in a row last night in Houston, is it time to panic for the Red Sox? (29:46) Thoughts on what Detroit Tigers pitcher Tarik Skubal had to say about sign stealing and calling out the Red Sox on it.
It's a Christian Arcand Power Hour as we kick things off asking if there's any cause for concerns when it comes to Garret Crochet? The Red Sox look to tie up the series as they're back in Houston tonight to take on the Astros; Wyc Grousbeck is out as lead governor for the Celtics, so what will be his role going forward?
(00:00) Zolak & McKone start the second hour reacting to Mike Sandro’s QB tiers and if they agree/ disagree; Drake Maye ranked low. (10:41) The crew talk about a new book about the Seahawks that discusses the Malcom Butler interception; should the Patriots defense be to blame for being in that position in the first place? (22:03) The guys react to the news that Grousbeck will no longer stay on as governor of Celtics during the sale. (29:52) We finish the hour playing This or That! Disappointing Crochet start... Hicks is really really bad... over six era with the Red Sox. Crochet was due for a bad start. Longest losing streak in the American League. The Mariners passed us! Should we be worried about this team making October? The Astros fans boo'd Bregman. That is what fans do! Will Flemming did not like it, but it happens. The starting pitcher for the Astros tonight is not good. What about the sign stealing fiasco? Are the Red Sox base coaches in the box? MLB confirmed that whatever the Red Sox are doing on their dugout iPad is legal! If you aren't breaking any rules, this sign stealing is all fair game. Wyc is out of the Celtics org. This goes against the plan. We all saw this coming! Dan says this signifies Wyc's dissatisfaction with the payroll. There is something fishy about this. Fans loved Wyc. Did Bill Chisholm do this to ease fans off of Wyc? Does he want the same treatment?
