Gene and cohost Tim Swartz present the return of paranormal blogger Red Pill Junkie. The mysterious RPJ (Miguel Romero) is an artist, writer and frequent guest on podcasts like "Where Did the Road Go?," "Radio Misterioso." and of course "The Paracast." He also collaborates on pages like "The Daily Grail." On the agenda is a close look at UFO abductions and folklore, and the possibilities for disclosure. Agnostic Gnostic, walking conundrum & metaphysical oxymoron (with emphasis in the "moron" part), RPJ says that he lives a double life: By day he serves as Grand Master of the International Sacred Order of Lucha Libre, but at night he impatiently awaits for the return of the mothership in Mexico City as well as pursuing his life-long study of everything considered mysterious and/or "paranormal," a term he personally detests. RPJ is also a gifted artist, and his work has been used in a variety of ways, such as book covers, and, of course, some of our cartoon caricatures for The Paracast. His website is: absurdbydesign.com.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-paracast-the-gold-standard-of-paranormal-radio--6203433/support.
Today's guest is jewelry collector, JJ Owens. The founder of Daily Grail may be best known for her work in the watch industry, but her love for collecting jewelry predates all of that. In fact, for as long as she can remember, jewelry collecting has been a part of her childhood. I was eager to learn about the drastic differences between working with jewelry brands versus watch brands, and just how easy it is to get custom pieces made from designers. JJ is living proof that when it comes to collecting jewelry, there is no idea too big or too small, and some of the biggest names would be happy to execute it for you. Honestly, I find it hard to believe that you won't feel even the slightest inkling to delve deeper into the world for jewelry collecting after listening to this episode. So without further adieu, my friend JJ Owens, for Collectors Gene Radio.Daily Grail Official - https://www.dailygrailofficial.com/Jessica "JJ" Owens Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/jessicajjo/?hl=enDaily Grail Official Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/dailygrailofficial/?hl=en

VYS0030 | To Believe or Not to Believe - Vayse to Face with Emily Louise - Show Notes Possibly the weirdest thing that Vayse could do at this point is to interview someone who doesn't believe in any of this phenomena at all, someone whose no-nonsense approach to searching for the actual facts behind well-known events in fringe history and UFOlogy has earned her Youtube channel tens of thousands of subscribers - it's British documentary maker and researcher Emily Louise. Hine and Buckley find an unexpected amount of common ground with Emily as they discuss her journey from wide-eyed belief to pragmatic scepticism, what it is that makes human beings sometimes believe ideas that are provably untrue, which famous conspiracy theories Emily thinks probably do have truth to them and Vayse finally tackles (with the help of a hardened sceptic) the recent David Grusch revelations... (Recorded 17 August 2023) Thanks to Emily for putting up with our weird shit and thanks as always to Keith for the show notes. Very excited to share this weeks conversation with the amazing artist Red Pill Junkie. RPJ has been one of my favorite people to listen to guest on Podcasts for a while, and his writing for the Daily Grail is wonderful! But for this episode we start talking about RPJ's process of creating his amazing Illustrations and art work. It goes all over the place from there in the best way possible. Gene and Randall present prolific Fortean writer/researcher Red Pill Junkie (Miguel Romero). In this episode, RPJ will discuss the latest scuttlebutt in the UFO field, including the possible implications of the recent Pentagon UAP Task Force, and whether it'll bring us any closer to a solution to the mystery. Agnostic gnostic, walking conundrum and metaphysical oxymoron (with emphasis — by his own admission — on the “moron” part ), the mysterious RPJ leaves a double life: By day he serves as Grand Master in the International Sacred Order of Lucha Libre. At night he pursues his life-long study of everything mysterious and/or “paranormal.” When he's not exploring the web looking for his daily fix of Forteana, he can be found making artsy stuff, fooling around on social media, or offering his services as writer and news administrator at The Daily Grail.
Miguel Romero is my pal in Mexico City. He writes for The Daily Grail, does graphic design, and has interests ranging from crop circles to psychic phenomena to UFOs to ... you get the idea. He's a smart dude with informed, thoughtful perspectives on the current mess we're in. Miguel on Twitter and Instagram. Find me on Instagram or Twitter. Please consider supporting this podcast. Gene and Randall present that inimitable cutting-edge thinker Red Pill Junkie (Miguel Romero). On this episode, RPJ opines on cutting-edge UFO research, and the frontiers of science and consciousness. In his own words, RPJ is an "Agnostic gnostic, walking conundrum & metaphysical oxymoron (with emphasis in the 'moron' part), [who] lives a double life: He is an outspoken blogger on the paranormal and a regular contributor for The Daily Grail, Mysterious Universe, and the Intrepid Magazine blog. He also collaborates frequently with The Grimerica Show podcast and, of course, has appeared on The Paracast over the years.
Gene and Randall present a return visit from the one and only Red Pill Junkie (Miguel Romero). On this episode, RPJ will discuss his recent article, "Man Overboard: One Year After Its Launch, To the Stars Academy's Financial Situation Remains Stuck on the Ground," which appeared in the Daily Grail. In late 2017, we learned of a Pentagon UFO study, covered by the likes of The New York Times and the Washington Post. There was great hope that the subject would finally be taken seriously by the mainstream media and science. But has the effort, spearheaded by rock and roller Tom DeLonge, stalled after the initial onrush of publicity? RPJ explores this and other paranormal research topics.
Recorded August 14th, 2018 This is a continuation of sorts of a round table Adam was involved in on "Where Did the Road Go?" Red Pill Junkie and Wren Collier got into some of what's wrong with the Conspiracy community and culture. It was such a good conversation that we wanted to continue it here. Adam Gorightly joins us to discuss an article that he wrote on the Daily Grail about Qanon. We get into some of the controversy involving Alex Jones, Pizzagate, and Qanon and if we are just dealing with political and financial opportunists. How many times have you watched a Star Wars films and thought, “I wonder where that prop or costume piece ended up?” The answer is most likely Gus Lopez's amazing STAR WARS Collection. Each day, he posts a “Daily Grail” on Facebook, showing off one piece of his collection at a time. We were fascinated to learn the stories behind the original Death Star, Emperor Palpatine's yellow contact lenses, costume notes and size measurements for the Hutt-slayer Leia costume and SO MUCH MORE. Photos of his entire collection here. The Star Wars Half Marathon at Disneyland (1/13-1/15/17) was good for getting together with Skywalkers, but bad for our muscles! #116 Round table with Alex Tsakiris, Conner Habib and Red Pill Junkie. What an intriguing and thought provoking conversation with three of our most open minded, well spoken and articulate guests. We talk about a lot of cultural phobia's like being afraid to be honest and our fear of admitting that we want to believe in something. What is really driving science? And we express our opinions about man made climate change as well as the ridicule factor from our mainstream culture. Icons like Terrance Mckenna, Graham Hancock, Alan Watts, Ram Das, John Keel and Sigmund Frued are discussed. And others like Mira Bartaulk, Grant Cameron, Thomas Campbell, Luke Ritkowski, Rudolf Steiner, and Whitley Strieber. Red Pill Junkie talks about his attendance at the Roswell Slide "Reveal", Conner talks about his recent scandal at the PEN Gala, and Alex talks about his plastic bag revelation. We also chat about LOVE in the big picture related to enlightenment, personal transformation, experience led belief systems and the polarization of our culture. Links and short bio from guests on this roundtable: Conner Habib - as his twitter says… author. pornographic person. sex expert. VP of @apacsocial. magician with a k. Nature is, as it were, always on its own side. So when people are destructive, or self-destructive, they are not acting against their own nature, they are just being natural in ways we don't like. Instead of talking about the natural and the unnatural — or even nature and culture — we can talk about the parts of nature we prefer and why we prefer them." Adam Phillips "Don't be a dick." Phil Plait "Learn to live with a high level of unceertainty" Whitley Streiber “I guess I should say a little bit about my method - I really am a fence sitter. I *loathe* Science and am always keen to attack it in most situations, though not here, because I love Reason and I'm perfectly aware of the difference. I also know what a concept means like Rules of Evidence. I'm not sure that's a concept as widely circulated in these circles as it needs to be - in other words, how *do* you tell shit from shinola? That's very critical. I think reason can only take us a certain distance, and then we have to go with the divine imagination, but with all safety systems fully in operation, or the divine imagination will lead us into complete paranoia.” Terramce McKenna "Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away." Philip K Dick "Wisdom without love is not wisdom" Thomas Cochmann "Belief is the enemy" John Keel "What ?!?! You need to think before you feel?" Alex's wife Man is often too proud to examine the self-evident things which are closest to him. Zen found the followers of the Mahayana looking for truth to scriptures, to holy men and Buddhas, believing that they would reveal it to them if they lived the good life. For man's apparent humility in thinking that wisdom is something too sublime to reveal itself in the ordinary affairs of his life is a subtle form of pride. Inwardly he feels that he must be so great as to be removed from the things of the world before he can receive truth, and such is his pride that he will only deign to receive it from the lips of sages and from the pages of sacred scriptures. He does not see it in human beings or in the incidents of everyday life; he does not see it in himself, for again he is too proud to see himself as he is. So far from seeking for truth he hides his imperfections under his 'meritorious deeds' and approaches the Buddhas from behind their mask. David and I talk about a lot in this interview. We talk about music and its effects on the brain. We talk about perceptions, media, preferences, bi-aural compositions, and more. Then we get into the paranormal, and discuss ghosts, UFO's, consciousness, reality, and liminality. This goes all over the place, gets pretty deep and subtle at times, and makes some strange connections. David Metcalfe is an independent researcher, writer and multimedia artist focusing on the interstices of art, culture, and consciousness. He is a contributing editor for Reality Sandwich, The Revealer, the online journal of NYU's Center for Religion and Media, and The Daily Grail. He writes regularly for Evolutionary Landscapes, Alarm Magazine, Modern Mythology, Disinfo.com, The Teeming Brain and his own blog The Eyeless Owl. His writing has been featured in The Immanence of Myth (Weaponized 2011), Chromatic: The Crossroads of Color & Music (Alarm Press, 2011) and Exploring the Edge Realms of Consciousness (North Atlantic/Evolver Editions 2012). Metcalfe is an Associate with Phoenix Rising Digital Academy, and is currently co-hosting The Art of Transformations study group with support from the International Alchemy Guild. Metcalfe's most recent project is a collaboration with Dr. R. Fifteen years ago, while advancing a degree in Finance/Economics at David Lipscomb University, Brian came across an elusive reference to the Knights Templar. A single paragraph in a textbook set Brian's curious mind on researching topics relating to the esoteric and unexplained. Brian's findings lead him to become a Mason, achieving the 32nd Degree in the Scottish Rite. In 2006, Brian began sharing his findings on the Grail Seekers blog and website. Since then, Brian's articles have been featured on such websites as: CNN, Unexplained Mysteries, Coast to Coast AM, Red Ice Creations, and Daily Grail. His quest for hidden knowledge has taken Brian to various locations including Scotland, and France. The work done for Grail Seekers has been the topic of internet radio interviews and most notably the Pittsburgh area's Scottish Rite hosted Brian as a key note speaker. Along the way, Brian has been honored to discuss his views with Thomas Steinbeck, Patrice Chaplin (Charlie's daughter-in-law), Bruce Burgess (Bloodline Documentary) and Reverend Lionel Fanthorpe. Recently Brian has agreed to become co-host on the Unraveling the Secrets show on BlogTalk Radio. http://www.gravedistractions.com
