Well Humor Consumers, we did it. Sort of. We successfully created a live recorded podcast episode. We weren't sure it was going to work, but it did. We will do it again and next time, with more tech knowledge. ;0)  In this episode, we answer questions that had previously been submitted at live comedy events. It has been so fun to do this. The audience becomes part of the show. They love it and we love it too. The questions are directed at me (Tracy) but they are anonymously submitted to Cathrine and she picks the ones to ask. So fun. Cathrine's husband Kenny asked a few questions and the mystery person who joined us in the broadcast was my husband Ron. He texted me to tell me it was him, but my phone wasn't near me so I didn't know.  THANK YOU ALL of our Humor Contributors: Stay tuned for video....it's coming. We captured the video and good audio, but when we tried to upload it to Patreon, the platform said "NO. You failed." IDK what went wrong but I am getting it straightened out with our hired tech helper Olivia. She will get us on the right track and soon, the full video will be coming to all of you humor contributors. ;0) Thank you, thank you, thank you to our $5 per month contributors Sarah, Wendy, Jessica J., Jessica K., Katie, Colleen, Ursula, Nancy, Kenny, Karren, Jeanine, Muffin, Darlene, Courtney, Joan. So you're needy? You were created to be needy. In fact, you were created with an abyss of neediness because your neediness was meant to be satisfied. You were created to be cherished.  Adam and Eve were created needy: they needed food, water, work, and intimate relationship before sin ever entered the Garden. The tragedy of sin was that it separated Adam and Eve from the Source that was meant to satiate their neediness. But Jesus restored our connection to the Source. So embrace your neediness, direct it properly, and you will grow out of leeching and/or stoic behaviors that prevent you from fully satiating the neediness that otherwise eats you alive.  Thank you to my newest Friends of the Show Ann T; Amarys R; Mariann H; Michele T; Jessica J; Mary C; Fidelis L; Peggy P; Susan D; Martina MacD; Tracy D; James McN; Ellen C; Linda D; Mary McJ; Peggy H; Hannah C; Michelle M; Susan G; Rebecca H; and Amy B for loving and lifting me! How different is the stomach of a meat eating bee from it's vegetarian cousins?Forget photos of food on social networks, ants have a whole social stomach for exchanging proteins. :)

González (Common Dreams, 2019) News Roundup Pelosi accuses Facebook of intentionally misleading voters House Speaker Nancy Pelosi ripped Facebook last week saying the company shamefully, intentionally misleads voters by failing to remove political ads. Ms. Pelosi specifically called out Facebook’s capitalistic model as being antithetical to democracy and a fair election in 2020. She told reporters Thursday that Facebook only wants two things: continued tax cuts and weak antitrust enforcement.   There were 58.5 billion robocalls made in 2019, which is up 22 percent Robocall-blocking service YouMail released a report last week finding a 22% increase in the number of robocalls placed in the U.S. since 2018.  The company claims that Americans received nearly 18 robocalls per year in 2019. According to the company, overall, Americans have received some 100 billion robocalls over the last 2 years. At the end of December, President Trump signed a bi-partisan bill to reduce robocalls.   Former Mueller Chief of Staff says Washington is failing to ensure election security John Carlin, the former Chief of Staff to Robert Mueller reportedly told the Hill that the federal government isn’t doing enough to prevent election interference. Mr. Carlin says the federal government’s response to the 2016 attacks, including a $425  million spending bill to address election security, did not go far enough its ongoing effort to deal with the proliferation of ransomeware and what he termed a “here and present threat”   National Institute of Justice paid Purdue University to study social media for warnings of future crimes According to the National Institute of Justice’s own website, it awarded nearly $2 million to Purdue University to assign convicted offenders wearable devices and then monitor them remotely to determine the likelihood that they’ll commit future crimes. The NIJ claims the goal is to determine whether offenders should be permitted to re-enter society. But the results of the study could have significant implications for mass surveillance as the study, which calls for testing 250 randomly-selected offender participants, will likely unfairly target African American inmates since roughly 40% of the prison population is African American even though we comprise 13% of the total U.S. population. City of Washington discovered 115 “ghost guns” in 2019 The Washington City Paper reports that the number of “ghost guns” police discovered in 2019 grew by 25% compared to the year before, or to more than 115 ghost guns. DC Police found only 3 such guns in 2017. Ghost guns are guns made from materials that can’t be found by metal detectors, such as the plastic used to print 3D guns. The DC Council has proposed a bill that would ban some but not all 3D printed guns. Some officials are worried that legislation doesn’t encompass enough of the various types of ghost guns. DC officials report that ghost guns were used in 3 homicides in 2019.

Boiling planets being stretched and squished. Tiny white dwarf stars going supernova. Goldilocks planets potentially with liquid water. Exoplanet hunting is now a lot easier with missions like TESS and veterans like Hubble. We look at some special cases, and how searching for 1 planet can uncover loads more. Sometimes planets are lurking in old observatory data, we just need to know where to look. Too hot, too cold, GJ357 potentially has a planet that's just right with liquid water. What causes a White Dwarf to go supernova? It needs more than itself to kickstart it into a Type 1a nova...so where does the extra boost come from? Devouring another planet? Or another star?References: L. Kaltenegger, J. Madden, Z. Lin, S. Rugheimer, A. Segura, R. Luque, E. Palle, N. Espinoza. The Habitability of GJ 357 d Possible Climates and Observability. One of the biggest fears most guys have is being boring...especially to the very women they're trying to attract. But let's face it, it's hard to make every conversation stimulating, let alone every date night the biggest adventure ever. The pressure to keep her interested can be crushing...and we haven't even gotten to the part where you're in a long-term relationship and trying to keep things fresh and exciting. Well, my co-host is the always-effervescent Jessica J, who you know from Playboy Radio. Jessica's freewheeling, happy-go-lucky personality makes for a hilarious and shocking episode that hits the ground running and only gains momentum from there. Oh, and she's one of the least boring people you'll ever meet, which makes her perfect for the job at hand. Given that easily-offended people are boring, and being 'Mr. Nice Guy' so as to not offend them is even more so, we somehow talk about politically-incorrect Warner Brothers cartoons, our shared penchant for streaking in the middle of the night, Jessica's weird conversations with Uber drivers, why vulnerability is interesting and the three things thou shalt NEVER talk about on first dates. Hey...it's all about boldly connecting with women where few other men dare to tread. Meet Jessica, subscribe to the free newsletter and get coached up at http://www.mountaintoppodcast.com. === HELP US SEND THE MESSAGE TO GREAT MEN EVERYWHERE === We'll keep the solid, actionable content coming...all for free.  If you love what you hear, please give us a 'thumbs up' by rating the show (takes one second) and leaving us a review.  As we say here in Texas, we appreciate you!
