Gene and cohost Tim Swartz present the return of paranormal blogger Red Pill Junkie. The mysterious RPJ (Miguel Romero) is an artist, writer and frequent guest on podcasts like "Where Did the Road Go?," "Radio Misterioso." and of course "The Paracast." He also collaborates on pages like "The Daily Grail." On the agenda is a close look at UFO abductions and folklore, and the possibilities for disclosure. Agnostic Gnostic, walking conundrum & metaphysical oxymoron (with emphasis in the "moron" part), RPJ says that he lives a double life: By day he serves as Grand Master of the International Sacred Order of Lucha Libre, but at night he impatiently awaits for the return of the mothership in Mexico City as well as pursuing his life-long study of everything considered mysterious and/or "paranormal," a term he personally detests. RPJ is also a gifted artist, and his work has been used in a variety of ways, such as book covers, and, of course, some of our cartoon caricatures for The Paracast. His website is: absurdbydesign.com.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-paracast-the-gold-standard-of-paranormal-radio--6203433/support.

Interested in “facts that don't fit” from an early age, in 1991, Greg Bishop co-founded a magazine called THE EXCLUDED MIDDLE, which was a journal of UFOs, conspiracy research, psychedelia and new science. It ceased publication in 1999. WAKE UP DOWN THERE!, which anthologized many of the articles and features, was published in 2000 by Adventures Unlimited Publishing.Greg's second book was PROJECT BETA: THE STORY OF PAUL BENNEWITZ, NATIONAL SECURITY, AND THE CREATION OF A MODERN UFO MYTH (2005 Simon & Schuster/ Pocket Books), which documented a government campaign of disinformation perpetrated against an unsuspecting U.S. citizen. WEIRD CALIFORNIA, a portrait of strange and eerie history and places in the Golden State, was released by Sterling Publishers and Barnes & Noble in 2006. Greg contributed about 75% of the material and photos. From December 2007 to November 2011, Greg blogged for the UFO and paranormal site Ufomystic. His last book was IT DEFIES LANGUAGE. It is composed, for the most part, of entries from that blog along with older material and brand new articles written just for the collection. In 2019, along with co-writer Adam Gorightly, he co-wrote A IS FOR ADAMSKI: THE GOLDEN AGE OF THE CONTACTEES about the UFO contact movement. For two years, Greg hosted THE HUNGRY GHOST, a radio show of interviews and music airing on pirate FM station KBLT in Los Angeles. His current show, RADIO MISTERIOSO is available at www.radiomisterioso.comHe is currently running a project called THE UFOLOGY TAROT, which honors and examines the history of UFO research and events in the tarot card format. The 22 Major Arcana cards have recently been completed and Kickstarter pre-orders are about to ship.Greg visits with Dean to share a peek and discuss some of the card artwork (beautifully realized by artist Miguel Romero, aka "Red Pill Junkie"). They also chat about the process that went into their creation, and the significance of the cards themselves. As well as recent trends in UFO belief in research.Do not miss this insightful and fascinating conversation with one of the leading thinkers in Ufology today! This show is part of the Spreaker Prime Network, if you are interested in advertising on this podcast, contact us at https://www.spreaker.com/show/4602609/advertisement
