Many fans have been screaming for a switch up in the hierarchy for WB  & DC films. Many have expressed the necessity for a Kevin Feige-like  figure to sit atop a dedicated studio for DC. Many have questioned the  executives in charge for the misunderstanding for some of the most  important characters to fans of DC — such as Superman & Batman. It  seems a plethora of those wants & complaints have finally been  heard, but it seems some fans are now disagreeing that they are being put into affect? A lot of changes are occuring & will be occuring within Warner Bros.  & its DC properties as the company merger with Discovery CEO David  Zaslav, sees him take the helm. I previously covered a lot of the topics  surrounding the news that has finally come to fruition, and as prior confirmations become double confirmed, speculations become reality, and  the 10 Year plan that is "DC Studios" is set in motion, everything we  once discussed — and more! — is and will be happening, right before our  eyes. ▾ Cosplay Of The Week!: ▾  http://instagram.com/BatmanOfColumbusOhio   _____________ ►

One of my (Gary's) favorite books to come out in the past few years, and the guys decided to read it with me and discuss. Here is DC Comic's official description: There's a new kind of crisis threatening the heroes of the DC Universe, ripped from real-world headlines by CIA operative turned comics writer Tom King: How does a superhero handle PTSD? Welcome to Sanctuary, an ultra-secret hospital for superheroes who've been traumatized by crime-fighting and cosmic combat. It's up to the DC Trinity of Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman to investigate -- but can they get the job done in the face of overwhelming opposition? We are back in our home studios this week, safely isolated from the outside world. See, the Kansas contingent of the WORST. COMIC. PODCAST. EVER! came down with the con crud following Planet Comicon. While we don't believe we are still contagious, we are playing things safe and staying safely apart from each other. Now before the con crud took us down, we had a spectacular time at Planet Comicon. Our panel (which you heard last week!) was a spectacular success, in our very humble opinion. In addition, we got to host some incredible panels with the main creator guests of the con. We give you the details of our time at Bartle Hall. We also did a lot of hustling for the Hero Initiative. With donation buckets on creator tables, our raffle of the DC Trinity statue and some great Hero Initiative merchandise, we raised over $5,000 for Hero. That's two years in a row that we have topped $5,000. Thank you, Kansas City! THANK YOU! We have our Pick 3 selections for books coming out next week. John and Cullen try to guess Jerry's pick for next Wednesday. Can they pick the right book? In addition, we talk about the first appearance controversy with Major X at Marvel, and Superman putting a lot of faith in the Wonder Twins. We would love to hear your comments on the show. We at The Fanboy Garage deliver a super charged episode as we immediately unpack our reactions to the latest news of Henry Cavill reportedly hanging up the cape and boots as Superman. With news reports, statements, recasting rumors and strange videos, we try to make sense of everything happening with the blue boy scout and whether or not we expect to see Cavill sport the “S” again. After tackling that bit of news, we open the show with some casting news for the DC Universe's Swamp Thing show and quickly move onto TV shows we're currently watching like Ozark, Better Call Saul and season-two of Iron Fist. From there, we discuss the on again/off again love we have for the broader Marvel TV shows on Netflix and whether or not there are strong threads connecting the TV and cinematic universes. That leads us through a quick and dirty dissertation on Star Wars canon across the books, comics, TV shows and movies and how maybe sometimes having EVERYTHING connected isn't necessarily a good thing. To close the show, we share our thoughts on the incoming reviews and reactions to Shane Black's The Predator and where we are on the current standing of the franchise. Before we close the doors of the garage, we discuss the latest teases from Sylvester Stallone that a fifth Rambo movie is on the way and whether or not fans need another movie. Stand up for truth, justice and really good podcasts because we really deliver the goods in this packed episode. Be sure to tune in to some of our other DC Focused episodes where we cover the DC Trinity's cinematic and TV appearances and subscribe where all great podcasts are found. Also, don't forget to keep the conversation going by tweeting us @TheFanboyGarage.
