Nick tar sitt L gällande ”bluffen” Dallas.
Programleder: Sivert MoeSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/anger.

Hey guys, welcome back to another episode of The Black Compass! This week, we discussed a topic near and dear to us. Black women have to carry so much mental, emotional, and physical burdens that it can often be overwhelming. The stereotypes attached to black women are often unwarranted and mentally tax us in ways that can cause long-lasting damage. Being able to find support and safe spaces to allow us to emotionally heal and grow are difficult and can be hard to find. This week, we focus on how to find and create these spaces in our lives so we won't have our voices silenced. It is important to cultivate trusted relationships we can look to in order to be heard and valued. Episode Highlights Stereotype of “having it all together” Finding support and safe spaces Fighting “suffering in silence” stigma Making your voice heard Importance of building trust Resources: Dr. Jess' website: https://drjesswilliams.com/ Dr. Jess' Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ucdrjess/ Dynasti's Website: https://www.dynastihunt.com/ Dynasti's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dynastihunt/

Hey guys! Happy Happy New Year! We are back and better than ever. One thing about 2021, many things have changed and created a “new normal” and simply won't allow us to return to our pre-pandemic lives. Something that stands out is the workplace, with more and more companies and employers going remote permanently even as the world slowly opens back up. Thus, our workspaces have changed and we are dealing with the aftereffects of that. Working from home has really changed people's attitudes and expectations towards work. This week on The Black Compass, we examine the new workplace culture and how to manage certain burdens that we now have to deal with working remotely. We have to prioritize ourselves and create boundaries that will help us practice healthy work/life balances. Episode Highlights: Managing inflated workplace expectations Creating work from home boundaries Examining workplace culture in a WFH climate Coping with mental health during the pandemic How to handle workplace burden placed on African American women Using your voice in the workplace to demand change Resources: Dr. Jess' website: https://drjesswilliams.com/ Dr. Jess' Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ucdrjess/ Dynasti's Website: https://www.dynastihunt.com/ Dynasti's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dynastihunt/

It's the “Fourth Quarter” Woo sah! It's been a long year for everyone. We. Are. Tired. As the year comes to a close, we fight the grind and try to push through and finish the year strong. But while you make that last push, make sure you take care of yourself and do not push yourself too far. Hosts Dr. Jess and Dynasty are here to help you wind down and remind us to be kind to ourselves. In this episode, we discuss how we set limitations in our professional and personal lives. We explore the idea of being okay with not juggling everything and allowing some things to be removed from our daily to-do list! “And whether your expectations of me have fallen short or not, I can't carry those for you. I have to be able to say these are my limits.” “You have to set boundaries, you have to be able to identify your limitations, and it's okay to let the plate drop and break for your own sanity.” Episode Highlights: Knowing Your Limitations: [0:24] Burnout!: [7:00] Personal Audits: [10:14] 4 P's: [16:32] Resources Mentioned: Dr. Jess' website: https://drjesswilliams.com/ Dr. Jess' Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ucdrjess/ Dynasti's Website: https://www.dynastihunt.com/ Dynasti's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dynastihunt/
Have you ever been called outspoken, told you have an attitude, or have had your ideas discredited in the workplace? As Black Women, when we have opinions that are different from the norm, that challenge our workplace's structural system or status quo, we are considered radical or seen as “aggressive.” As a result, we become isolated professionally and show up with emotional stressors that often make our workplaces unbearable. In this episode, we're talking about why these radical ideas should not only be normalized but welcomed and why Black Women don't need to earn respect; we should already have it. Plus, we'll discuss how our allies can do the work and authentically show up for Black Women in the workplace. Because when it comes to the treatment of Black Women in the workplace, people need to recognize that it's not about making space for Black Women at the table. It's about already having a seat. “Because at the end of the day, we walk in[to work] with our race as a Black Woman, and we leave with our race as a Black Woman.” - Dr. Jess “Don't just say that you're an ally, just be an ally. I don't need your post about what you're doing. I don't need a meeting so you can tell me how you called out such and such for a microaggression. Just do the work.” - Dynasti Episode Highlights: Why the workplace can make Black Women feel alienated and isolated [3:04] There is room for all of us at the table [8:17] How to be a true ally to black women [12:32] Why it's about having respect - not earning it [17:07] Resources Mentioned: Dr. Jess' website: https://drjesswilliams.com/ Dr. Jess' Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ucdrjess/ Dynasti's Website: https://www.dynastihunt.com/ Dynasti's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dynastihunt/
Did you know it's 100% possible to rediscover your true authentic self once you push past your fears and self-limiting beliefs? Building up your inner strength and resilience is step one. Step two is finding a core community that lifts you up, is there for you when you stumble and helps you carry the lows and burdens that our history has thrust upon us. In this episode, we are exploring the journey and process of finding your inner authenticity in order to shape yourself into who you truly are and how you show up in the world. As Black women in the 21st century, we know from experience how challenging this can be. That's why we are diving into our own self-examination and uncovering the self-exploratory process that has to happen for us to get to a place of true authenticity. Because you won't be the best you if you don't know who the best you is. “You need to bridge who you are internally in order to really show the world who you are externally. That's when your authenticity comes out.” - Dr. Jess Episode Highlights: Why all eyes are on Black women in 2020 How the lack of equity and authenticity in the workplace affects Black women in America The power of a Black woman's story Why inner authenticity is so important in all that you do How to be the best you by doing the hard internal work Resources Mentioned: Dr. Jess' website: https://drjesswilliams.com/ Dr. Jess' Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ucdrjess/ Dynasti's Website: https://www.dynastihunt.com/ Dynasty's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dynastihunt/
Is your community feeding into your fear or eliminating your fear? Having a strength-based community goes further than just having a support system to help you when you feel stuck or are wading through false fears. Your core community should know your strengths, your aspirations, and they should encourage you to take a strength-based approach to eliminate Imposter Syndrome. In this episode, we are diving deep into why having a strong, supportive community is just as important as building your internal strength to fight the 17 layers of Black Imposter Syndrome. We're discussing fighting back on false narratives and how a strong community can help you fact check your self-limiting beliefs and own your core story as a Black woman. “My layer has to be a level deeper because I'm not only fighting what I think about myself internally, and what the world has told me to think about myself. And what a broader community that is not my core community has told me to think about myself. And those are layers that people aren't willing to get into”. - Dynasti Episode Highlights: Recognizing whether your community is feeding into your fear or eliminating it Why internal strength and community strength are so important Digging deeper into the layers of Imposter Syndrome as a Black woman The key to fighting false narratives How your core community helps you fact-check your story Resources Mentioned: Dr. Jess' website: https://drjesswilliams.com/ Dr. Jess' Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ucdrjess/ Dynasti's Website: https://www.dynastihunt.com/ Dynasti's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dynastihunt/
Have you taken on unfounded fears that have defined and realigned your life in an unchosen direction? Black women across the board have been suffering from deep layers of Black Imposter Syndrome, and it's time to unravel why this is so prevalent in our culture. We are here to tell you that even if you've lost your grip on who you are and allowed others to fuel you into going a different direction, you can fight and resist that inner belief system that feeds into your fears and start writing your own story. In this episode, we define Black Imposter Syndrome and bust through the false stories we internalize as Black women. We'll rediscover how we can resist the urge to operate from a place of fear and instead take action towards our goals with confidence, plus so much more. Tune in to the very FIRST episode of The Black Compass and learn how you can be authentic in all that you do. “There are two different directions your Imposter Syndrome can go - you can feel that fear and let it take you over, or you can find space to walk away from that so that when you do go against the grain, when you do break against those other notions - you have support to go against the grain.” - Dynasti Episode Highlights: Why we let fear get in our way and fuel us in a different direction Additional barriers Black women face when pushing past fears and self-limiting beliefs The two directions your Imposter Syndrome can take you and how to fight back How to recognize that your fear-based mentality has no weight Normalizing strength-based action and avoiding fear-based perception Resources Mentioned: Dr. Jess' website: https://drjesswilliams.com/ Dr. Jess' Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ucdrjess/ Dynasti's Website: https://www.dynastihunt.com/ Dynasty's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dynastihunt/

Fräs dem i smör i kastrull.
