When should you go see a fertility doctor? What is the ideal number of frozen eggs/embryos to try and store? What is the optimal age age to freeze your eggs or embryos? What to look for in your provider? Storage options for frozen eggs or embryos Is there a danger to freezing eggs/embroys for too long? How long will they stay good for? What is success rate of egg / embryo freezing and then implanting? If your eggs/embryos are frozen, when should a woman use them by to ensure she can still carry a child? Topher Grace was born Christopher John Grace in New York City, New York, to Pat, a schoolmaster's assistant, and John Grace, an executive. He was raised in Darien, Connecticut. He attended boarding school in New Hampshire for two years, where he began his acting career in such musicals as "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" and "The Pirates of Penzance." He also tried his first shot at directing with a choose-your-own-adventure-style movie starring his classmates. He hated being called Chris in school, so he changed it to Topher as time went on. He attended New Hampshire's Brewster Academy and the University of Southern California. Grace dropped out of USC to start his show business career in That '70s Show (1998) at age 20. He was cast in that show because the show's creators, Bonnie Turner and Terry Turner, saw him act in a high-school play--their daughter attended same high school. Apart from school plays, Grace had absolutely no acting experience before landing the role of Eric Forman. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Listen in as we hear from two principals new to their roles this year - Woodbury principal Eric Forman and Onaway principal Dora Bechtel. They share with us how they prepared for the start of the school year, what is different this year, what is the same, what kind of culture they are hoping to create in their buildings and their focus on curriculum and instruction as we make our way through the 2022-23 school year.
Topher Grace stole our hearts in That '70s Show— but as you're about to hear, he's so much more than Eric Forman. Bethenny sits down with Topher for a funny and real conversation on what it was like reuniting with some cast members for That '90s Show, whether he wishes he had his college degree, and what celebrities don't want to admit about fame. Plus, Topher shares how it felt being on set with Mila and Ashton for the first time since the lovebirds been married. Bethenny describes a recent run-in with Mila and Ashton, and confesses why she wishes she could go back and do it differently. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

PGT-A is a hot topic in fertility medicine and I'm so happy that Dr. Eric Forman joined me to talk to us about a recent Chinese study published in The New England Journal of Medicine. Takeaways: - this study is getting a lot of attention because of the prestigious journal it's published in - the study design isn't how we do things in the real world: we don't just biopsy three embryos - the average age was 29 of the patients and mean egg number 20 and we know from previous studies that PGT-A as a selection tool may help women over age 37 more than younger women - the cumulative live birth rate was higher in the PGT arm - the study provided reassurances about PGT-A: the biopsy is safe, the group who did it had a higher implantation rate, similar cumulative live birth rate with fewer transfers, and fewer miscarriages. There were more congenital abnormalities in the non-biopsy group. A big thank you to Dr. Forman for breaking this all down for us and for sharing how PGT-A can improve the live birth rate on the first transfer and make elective single embryo transfer the standard of care across ages. Sam Fry speaks to Eric Forman, an artist that works in the intersections between fine art, design, architecture, and technology. For nearly twenty years, Eric's work has used playful interaction to reveal issues of language, simulation, and perception. Underneath all is an investigation of the uncertain present of human and technological co-evolution: the overlappings of natural and artificial, real and simulated, person and machine. In the episode Sam and Eric talk about the relationship between humans and technology. They speak about Eric's background as well as a number of artistic and design projects he has worked on, including Heart Squared - a large installation that was recently displayed in the middle of Times Square. Here are some useful links:Eric Forman's website: https://www.ericforman.comEric Forman's Instagram: instagram.com/ericformanstudioHeart Squared: https://www.ericforman.com/art/heart-squaredDis/Connect: https://www.ericforman.com/art/dis-connectSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/Technique. Before Marvel gave Spider-Man his Homecoming, and before he went Into the Spider-Verse, and even before Andrew Garfield was Amazing, there was Tobey Maguire and Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man series. They brought us the high highs of Spider-Man 1 & 2, and the low low Spider-Man 3. That’s what we are talking about today. Sandman, Venom, Green Goblin, Jazz dancing, emo haircuts, Eric Forman, and Kirsten Dunst all conspire to take Spidey down. Will they be successful? “Eric’s Buddy” (December 6, 1998) Trigger warning: The episode we’re talking about doesn’t bring up sexual assault in any way, but because it’s That 70s Show, the subject comes up. Skip from the 25-minute mark to the 29-minute mark if you want to listen to the episode without that discussion. Debate among yourselves whether That 70’s Show qualifies as a classic sitcom, but you can’t say it wasn’t a successful show, running eight seasons and then forever in syndication. In its first season, the show featured Joseph Gordon-Levitt as a student who befriends Topher Grace’s character — and then kisses him. It may not fully stick the landing, but it at least deserves credit for featuring a boy-on-boy kiss in primetime well before Dawson’s Creek did it. Yes, That 80s Show also happened, and today it’s only worth looking into for a pre-It’s Always Sunny Glenn Howerton and Supergirl’s Chyler Leigh decked out in punk gear. Dog With a Blog is exactly what it sounds like, but Drew still doesn’t understand what it is. Tanya Roberts’ Tahiti Village. Donna’s dad plays an L.A. gang tough in 1975’s Switchblade Sisters, which is a weird, wild thing to behold. And the whole of Bad Gays is pretty interesting, but their episode about Oscar Wilde’s Bosie is especially good. Buy Gayest Episode Ever shirts, totes and more on our TeePublic page. Mosaic is the term assigned to embryos found to possess both normal and abnormal cells during preimplantation genetic screening (PGS). PGS is typically completed on day five of embryo development for in vitro fertilization (IVF). Through PGS, embryologists can detect, and often diagnose, potential chromosomal abnormalities including the presence of Down syndrome. Until very recently, any cell with noted defects was discarded and not considered for IVF transfer. However, recent developments have led doctors to suspect that these abnormal cells may be viable for transfer after all. In this episode, Eric Forman, M.D., medical and laboratory director at Columbia University Fertility Center, joins host Mark P. Trolice, M.D., to discuss why there has been some success in the transfer of mixed quality (mosaic) embryos, and why many of the births have gone on to produce healthy, normal babies.Tune in to discover:What mosaic embryos are and where they come fromThe benefits (and limitations) of preimplantation genetic testingWhy mosaic embryos may be viable for IVF transferWhen women and couples might consider using mosaic embryos for transfer
LEARN TO EMBRACE FAILURE. We often hold onto words. When someone gives us negative feedback, we can let it consume our minds. It’s not healthy. You can’t stop yourself from being offended by what someone says. But you can listen and be open to learning. Every time you mess up you’re making yourself better. On today’s episode of The School of Greatness, I talk about making the most of opportunities and learning how to listen with one of the most successful actors of our time: Topher Grace. Topher Grace is known for playing Eric Forman in the hit sitcom That 70’s Show, Venom in Sam Raimi's film Spider-Man 3, and many more. He is also the host of a new podcast called Minor Adventures with Topher Grace. As an actor, Topher constantly receives feedback on his work. While he hasn’t always agreed and his ego can sometimes get in the way, he has learned to work collaboratively. Topher started working at a very young age, but he has been able to sustain his career by constantly evolving. So get ready to learn how Topher Grace made the most of sudden fame on Episode 781. Some Questions I Ask: What was the greatest lesson you learned in the first season of That 70’s Show? (17:30) How can someone handle getting a great opportunity with grace? (21:00) Who has been the most brilliant person you’ve worked with? (27:00) What is life like as a father being an actor? (37:00) What’s the greatest challenge being married with a new child? (44:00) In This Episode You Will Learn: How Topher landed his role on That 70’s Show (3:00) The best way to handle criticism (23:00) Topher’s experience playing a white supremacist in BLacKkKlansman (32:00) How Topher views failure (52:30) Why it’s better to try even if it doesn’t work out (58:00)
Episode 151: Score! Another episode of Kenobi’s Corner! This week, Jonathan takes the Mickey with Eric as he wanted to name all the categories after 90’s hits. A couple are forced but they mostly fit. We do this because one, we love the 90’s, and two, we saw Captain Marvel this week. We eventually get there, so take a chill pill as we review some interesting news stories. Eric Forman gifts the world with a stellar Star Wars Saga trailer, Marvel rumors beyond phase Four and also some lukewarm DC news. We put a bow on it all with this review of Captain Marvel. Booyah! Topher Grace (That ‘70s Show, Spider-Man 3, BlacKkKlansman) joins me to talk about landing the role as Eric Forman on his first ever audition, the events that led up to him signing his contract without an agent, and how there was no sweeter first than that whole first year of the show. Topher discusses hanging out with Tom Welling before his wedding, gives me an amazing Michael J. A comedy revolving around a group of teenage friends, their mishaps, and their coming of age, set in 1970s Wisconsin. Eric Forman is a typical high school student growing up in Wisconsin in 1976 with his family and his friends. Together, they have the same kind of joys and sorrows that just about every teenager has while growing up. This show parodied many of the attitudes, events and fads of the 70s, along with those who grew up at the time. Join us at TheSmokeyShelter.com to get into the conversation. TheSmokeySheter@gmail.com
Let's finish up those Bobbleheads!!! This trophy and They're Not Dolls... is a possible reference to That 70's Show. Lessons from Eric Forman. Number One: When your father asks you if your best friend has ever pressured you into drugs, you confidently say that, no, you've never been pressured. Number Two: After you've unnecessarily blabbered that you also do drugs to try and save said friend from being kicked out of your house (even though your parents have already changed their minds) -- when your father asks you how long you've been doing them (after too long of a pause) you respond, "Ehhh a week." instead of, "Since I was, like, thirteen." To everyone's horror, after Hyde's arrest and Eric's big mouth, Red has decided that he's been to lenient on the kids underneath his care. You see, FUN TIME IS OVER. In this episode, Cheyenne and Rain start Season 3, Episode 1: Reefer Madness -- in which Red doesn't bail Hyde out of jail, Jackie is proud of the fact that Steven got arrested for her, Bob has a weird hatred of Hyde despite the fact that he and Midge also smoke -- and swing, Red's afraid that Hyde's drug habit will negatively influence his children -- because he's oblivious, Donna gets shot and dies, and Leo drinks some tea.Exciting things are happening!Contact us at that70spodcast@gmail.com, that70spodcast.tumblr.com, and @that70spodcast on Twitter with any questions, theories, or ideas to throw our way! I still don't know his last name. Gille arrived from Michigan in a small jar with his photograph on the lid. His friend had sent an email to Chapel Dulcinea asking if we'd be willing to launch some of Gille's ashes into the breeze that always blows there. We replied we'd be happy to do it. It seems that Gille's parting wish was for his ashes to be scattered at beautiful and interesting places around the world and Chapel Dulcinea was selected as one of those places. So at sunset on December 13, 2006, Tom Grimes, Brett Feinstein and I became the awkward honor guard that entrusted Gille to the winds from https://wizardacademy.org/scripts/prodList.asp?idCategory=137 (the western pinnacle) of Dulcinea's diamond foundation. Feinstein rang the big bronze bell as Gille floated northward into forever. How are things with you? Are you ready to begin a new year? This is the time when millions of us pause to look back with regret and forward with hope. As you prepare for 2007, here are some thoughts I hope you'll ponder: It's Always Okay To Begin Again “The object of a New Year is not that we should have a new year. It is that we should have a new soul.” – G.K. Chesterton Pay Attention to the Little Things “It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living.” – Terry Pratchett “No trumpets sound when the important decisions of our life are made. Destiny is made known silently.” – Agnes De Mille Know What You Want “I can teach anybody how to get what they want out of life. The problem is that I can't find anybody who can tell me what they want.” – Mark Twain Don't Think You Know It All “The more we live by our intellect, the less we understand the meaning of life.” – Leo Tolstoy “And he goes through life, his mouth open, and his mind closed.” – Oscar Wilde Don't Be A Couch Potato “Literacy is a very hard skill to acquire, and once acquired it brings endless heartache – for the more you read, the more you learn of life's intimidating complexity of confusion. But anyone who can learn to grunt is bright enough to watch TV… which teaches that life is simple, and happy endings come to those whose hearts are in the right place.” – Spider Robinson “If I show up at your house 10 years from now, and find nothing in your living room but Reader's Digests, nothing in your bedroom but the latest Dan Brown novel… I will chase you down to the end of your driveway and back shouting 'Where are the damn books?… Why are you living the mental equivalent of a Kraft Macaroni & Cheese life?'” – Stephen King, to the 2005 graduating class of the University of Maine You're Going To Have Some Bad Days “Life does not have to be perfect to be wonderful.” – Annette Funicello “Life is like a train. It's bearing down on you and guess what? It's going to hit you. So you can either start running when it's far off in the distance, or you can pull up a chair, crack open a beer, and just watch it come.” – Eric Forman, on That 70s Show “My life has been filled with terrible misfortune; most of which never happened.” – Montaigne Have Courage “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. Security does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than exposure.” – Helen Keller “Those of us who refuse to risk and grow get swallowed up by life.” – Patty Hansen Love Your Job “https://wizardacademy.org/scripts/openExtra.asp?extra=25 (Work is about a search for daily meaning) as well as daily bread, for recognition as well as cash, for astonishment rather than torpor; in short, for a sort of life rather than a Monday through Friday sort of dying.” – Studs Terkel Don't Forget to Have Fun “Do not take life too seriously – you will never get out of it alive.” – Elbert Hubbard “Life is truly a ride. We're all strapped in and no one can stop it…. I think that the most you can hope for at the end of...
“You've heard that before you die, your whole life flashes before your eyes? This is true. It's called living.” I'd love to take credit for that line, but I lifted it from an obscure novel by Terry Pratchett. It's one of the 716 random quotes that magically appear, like a secret message in your alphabet soup, each time you visit wizardacademy.org. Most of these quotes you won't find anywhere else because I don't take them from quote books or compilations, but from strange and interesting places. And from even stranger and more interesting people. Like David Freeman. When David came to waste a day with me recently, he said, “The goal of life is to take everything that made you weird as a kid and get people to pay you money for it when you're older.” When a friend says something like that, I always write it down. Like the time Alex Benningfield said over a glass of wine, “Success is not spontaneous combustion. You've got to set yourself on fire.” And then there are the phrases I'm told someone else “is always saying.” Like when Pierre Basson mentioned that his wife often says, “Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but not their own facts.” Or when Mordecai Silber told me how his father shared this bit of wisdom with him after Morty told him how well his new business was doing: “During a company's growth phase, additional costs that are incurred because of the growth are variable costs. However, when sales begin to decline, all those variable costs miraculously become fixed costs.” That's exactly the kind of thing kids should learn from their fathers. My kids learned from me how to scribble down quotes from characters in television shows: “Life is like a train. It's bearing down on you and guess what? It's going to hit you. So you can either start running when it's far off in the distance, or you can pull up a chair, crack open a beer, and just watch it come.” – Eric Forman, on That 70s Show. A few of my quotes came from Steve Sorensen, a student and friend who will http://www.wizardofads.com/content.asp?id=beaclient (send you a new Creativity Quote each week if you ask to be added to his list.) Last week, Steve's quote was from G.K. Chesterton: “The object of a New Year is not that we should have a new year. It is that we should have a new soul.” More than a dozen were sent to me by my partner, Jeff Eisenberg, another voracious reader of things interesting and obscure. Jeff's most recent email contained this exhortation from James Wood: “Requiring readers to put themselves into the minds of many different kinds of other people is a moral action on the part of the author.” Some of the quotes in my collection are colorful passages I've transcribed from books I've read: “When tourists saw handsome Kelly and ponderous Florsheim, they instinctively loved them, for the Hawaiians reminded them of an age when life was simpler, when laughter was easier, and when there was music in the air.” – James Michener, Hawaii, p.916. “Tunnel vision is a disease in which perception is restricted by ignorance and distorted by vested interest.” – Tom Robbins, Still Life With Woodpecker, p.86. And then, of course, there is the immortal wisdom of Calvin and Hobbes: “I'm not in denial. I'm just selective about the reality I choose to accept.” Some of my diamonds were discovered during the weekly archeological dig I call Monday Memo research; like this beauty taken from a letter by poet Edwin Arlington Robinson to literary critic Harry Thurston Peck: “The world is not a prison house, but a kind of kindergarten, where millions of bewildered infants are trying to spell God with the wrong blocks.” Or this line from the Winchester manuscripts of Thomas Malory, translated by John Steinbeck: “What can I do?' King Arthur cried. 'I see the noblest fellowship in the world crumbling – eroding like a windblown dune. In the hard dark days I prayed and worked and fought for peace. Now I have it and...
