What happens when AI meets automotive repair? Can technology bridge the growing knowledge gap between seasoned mechanics and the next generation of technicians? And how will the “Right to Repair” movement reshape how vehicles are maintained in the future? In this episode of Innovation Storytellers Show, I sit down with Eric West, Chief Growth Officer at Convertible AI, to explore the intersection of AI, workforce training, and the future of vehicle diagnostics. Eric shares his perspective on the hidden complexities behind the so-called "technician shortage" and explains why the issue goes far beyond a simple lack of workers. He highlights how AI can capture and distribute the knowledge of master mechanics, ensuring that valuable expertise is not lost as older generations of technicians retire. The ability to embed decades of experience into AI-powered diagnostic tools can revolutionize the way mechanics diagnose and repair vehicles, making training more efficient and ensuring accuracy in the repair process. One of the most significant shifts in the industry is the growing push for Right to Repair legislation. Eric discusses how this movement challenges the traditional power balance between independent repair shops and major automakers. As proprietary repair information becomes more accessible, AI-driven tools could empower smaller shops with the same level of technical insight as dealership service centers, ultimately creating a more competitive and consumer-friendly industry. The conversation also touches on the role of synthetic data in AI innovation. Eric explains how AI-generated datasets are helping businesses predict vehicle issues before they occur, providing a new level of preventative maintenance. With the ability to simulate real-world conditions and test different scenarios, synthetic data is allowing auto manufacturers and repair shops to stay ahead of potential problems, improving efficiency and reducing costly repairs. So, what does the future of AI-powered workforce training look like? How will AI reshape industries where hands-on expertise has always been essential? And most importantly, how do we ensure that innovation benefits the people who drive these industries forward? Let's continue the conversation. ********** You have a limited offer you can use now, that gets you up to 48% off your first subscription or 20% off one time purchases with code STORYTELLERS20 at checkout You can claim it at: https://magicmind.com/STORYTELLERS20

As President Biden declared War on Climate calling it an existential threat, we now see that the war's crucible was Maui. With Maui and more specifically, the historical and sacred town of Lahaina, they have proof - they have the dead and the missing to exploit. They have the pictures to show what hell looks like -- hell for the carbon sinners who have doubted their prophecies. While Hawaii officials call this a "natural disaster," locals call it a "land grab." How they rebuild will provide the truth. Today, Eric West continues our series "Neither Here Nor There" talking about how God uses the waiting periods of our lives to develop us into who He has called us to be.
On this episode of the Massimo Show Rod sits down with top Producer Eric West. Eric came to the real estate market in an interesting way. As a teen living outside of Washington DC in Bethesda Maryland Eric grew up with two entrepreneurial parents. His father owned his own law firm and hired Eric as a courier for his company to help him learn about the city and its demographics. But the grooming didn't stop there. He then worked with the real estate arm of his father's firm and learned about the closing process. To round out his education he spent a summer working for a construction company, which he admits was not his best skill. Being an entrepreneur and finding a great niche in any market came naturally to Eric. In his junior year at Tulane, he and a classmate realized that one person's family-owned several restaurants and the other's leased restaurant equipment. From there they pooled their shared family history of restaurateurs and knowledge of how the leasing process worked to create a national database to compare lenders for leasing restaurant equipment. It was very successful, yet after about a year of traveling to support the company the tax codes changed and purchasing equipment became the norm. The two sold their database to a local lender and Eric moved on to join a local real estate company. Although Eric felt he was destined to become a commercial broker and had studied several aspects of the job, it was at this first firm that Eric really learned the mechanics of doing business in a way no internship could have prepared him for. When he moved back to the DC area Eric took his knowledge of the city, his talent for finding a niche market, and his keen eye for doing business and developed relationships and a strong reputation in the nonprofit side of real estate. He and his team continued to create a bespoke brokerage where relationships and reputations were key factors in the success of his firm. Rod and Eric close out the show with Eric's 5 Key Factors to Success and you won't want to miss them!

Interview with Eric West (MixNMatchCreamery.com) Liquid nitrogen ice cream is the business idea that took my guest—Eric West—from his day job at the calling center at Wells Fargo, to opening up his business called Mix ‘n Match Creamery in Portland, Oregon. Within one year, Eric went from having this business idea pop into his head, to turning it into an ice cream food cart, and just recently opened up his first brick and mortar location. And he did it with very little capital and without going into dept. The truth is that native Portlander Eric West has always been an entrepreneur at heart. From selling parking spots at age 7, to starting a window cleaning business at age 15, he has always owned some kind of business in every stage of his life. But in the spring of 2013, he decided to take a major risk and quit his day job to open Mix ‘n’ Match Creamery, selling artisan, made-to-order, liquid nitrogen ice cream. He’s hear on the show to share his story about why he’s been so successful at implementing his business idea and growing it at record speed. So tune in to this episode to hear how Eric turned his sweet idea into a reality, quit his job, and never looked back. Did this podcast rock your world? Until age six Eric is raised by his grandmother. He is molested several times, then his mother and stepfather take him to Watts in L.A. where he goes to Bible Clubs. He stutters badly, is ridiculed and bullied so he forms a gang, then joins the Crips at 13. He defies his abusive stepfather who leaves home. Eric's mother drinks too much. He meets his real father and goes back to Arkansas several times. He drops out of school. Many deaths on the streets and in the family leave Eric with fear and he seeks his Bible teacher who leads him to Christ as the first part ends.
