In this special replay, BS Free MD host Dr. May Hindmarsh steps out from behind the microphone and into the guest chair. Originally recorded for the Hotflash Inc. podcast with host Anne-Marie McQueen, this candid conversation explores Dr. May's personal journey through menopause, hormone therapy, histamine intolerance, epigenetics, and the unexpected challenges she faced when conventional solutions didn't provide the answers she was seeking. After more than 30 years practicing medicine, Dr. May found herself navigating a complex health journey that included severe hot flashes, migraines, sleep disruption, anxiety, panic attacks, elevated heart rate, and symptoms that persisted despite hormone replacement therapy. As both physician and patient, she began asking deeper questions about genetics, hormone metabolism, mast cell activation, and individualized care. Together, Anne-Marie and Dr. May discuss the importance of critical thinking in medicine, the dangers of one-size-fits-all approaches, and why listening to your own body may be one of the most important skills in healthcare. In This Episode Why Dr. May and Dr. Tim launched BS Free MD Lessons learned from practicing medicine through the COVID era What happened when hormone therapy stopped working as expected Histamine intolerance and mast cell activation explained The role of MTHFR, COMT, and epigenetics in hormone metabolism Why some women thrive on hormone therapy while others struggle Trauma, stress, and their impact on health outcomes The growing movement toward personalized medicine How to navigate conflicting health information Learning to trust your body's signals About Dr. May Hindmarsh Dr. May Hindmarsh is a retired family physician with more than three decades of experience practicing medicine in Canada and the United States. Alongside her husband, Dr. Tim Hindmarsh, she co-hosts BS Free MD, where they challenge conventional narratives, explore emerging health topics, and encourage listeners to think critically about medicine, wellness, and personal responsibility. Rework is one of the biggest hidden profit leaks in a cabinet shop, millwork business, or install team. In this episode, Dominic Rubino talks with Ryan Hindmarsh about how rework shows up in real businesses, what it costs, and how simple systems can help stop it before it eats up profit and customer trust. If you run a cabinet shop, millwork company, closet business, renovation company, or trades business, this episode will help you think harder about the small mistakes that create big losses. In this episode, we cover: ✅ Why rework is more than just rebuilding a bad cabinet ✅ How missed details in design, production, packing, and install hurt profit ✅ Why install should be treated like its own business ✅ How meetings, SOPs, and checklists reduce waste ✅ Why owners need to track labor, job performance, and profit leaks ✅ How "done in full, on time" becomes a real operating target Rework does not always show up as a disaster. Sometimes it looks like: - a missing part - the wrong color - a mislabeled pallet - a second trip to site - a team member hunting for tools - overtime that should never have happened That is why this episode matters.
It was yet another week of typical Sunday things at Hindmarsh. For whatever reason, we (and I mean Adelaide United) just can't make it work on Sundays, as the Reds went down to Newcastle 3-2.

Beyond Labels: A Powerful Night of Truth & Hope About Mental Health brought together leading medical and mental health professionals to uncover how today's healthcare system profits from lifelong patients instead of healing them. Hosted by Dr. Ben, with keynote speakers Dr. Tim Hindmarsh and Dr. Roger McFillin, the event revealed the hidden incentives behind mental health diagnoses and prescriptions—and the spiritual, emotional, and practical tools for breaking free.Dr. Hindmarsh, co-host of BS Free MD, shared his inside view of how the healthcare system transformed from saving lives to monetizing chronic illness. He exposed how government programs, insurance metrics, and pharmaceutical influence have turned human suffering into a business model—and how true healing requires reclaiming personal responsibility and autonomy.Dr. McFillin, clinical psychologist and host of The Radically Genuine Podcast, offered a powerful counter-narrative to the chemical imbalance myth. He explored the spiritual and energetic roots of mental health, the dangers of over-medication, and how emotions like pain and fear are not disorders but messages guiding us toward purpose and truth.Together, they delivered an urgent wake-up call: to move beyond fear, beyond dependency, and beyond labels—toward a world where healing begins with awareness, connection, and sovereignty over one's mind, body, and soul. In this conversation, Dr. Bruce Hindmarsh joins Kelly Dippolito to discuss his involvement with the Luce Foundation and the grant that kickstarted the Visual Museum project. He highlights the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and the challenges of digital humanities. He emphasizes the potential impact of the Visual Museum in providing a user-friendly experience and rectifying the void in women's history.Key Takeaways: The Luce Foundation grant played a crucial role in kickstarting the Visual Museum project and turning it into a reality.Interdisciplinary collaboration is essential in creating innovative and impactful projects like the Visual Museum. The challenges of digital humanities include ensuring the permanence of digital tools and maintaining quality control in crowdsourcing. The Visual Museum has the potential to provide a user-friendly experience and rectify the void in women's history within the church.Art is a powerful medium for experiencing and understanding the stories of the church, and the Visual Museum aims to provide curated and well-researched resources. Visual Museum of Women in ChristianityThe purpose of this collaborative project is to create a curated, permanent visual exhibit of women in the history, ministry, and piety of early, Byzantine, and medieval Christianity that will be available online for researchers, educators, and interested laypersons. The goal of this multi-year project is to make the visual record of women in ministry and leadership available free of charge and unencumbered by permission requirements, and to include short teaching elements to guide the audience through the constitutive and pivotal role of women throughout Christian history. Together with the visual story, the accompanying narrative will make it possible for patrons to learn about women throughout history and across the globe and their unique contributions to the life and faith of the church…A history that remains mostly untold.Follow the Visual Museum on Social Media:Instagram: visualmuseum.galleryFacebook: visualmuseum.galleryTwitter: visual_museumTikTok: visualmuseum.galleryYouTube: @VisualMuseumEpisode Sponsor: The Alabaster Jar is brought to you by The Center for Women in Leadership, a newly formed 501©3 nonprofit organization whose purpose is to equip women in a context that is biblically rooted, theologically robust, and ethnically diverse to thrive as leaders in the academy and the Church.
