Running the Boston Marathon was a dream for Natalie Daniels and doing it six-months postpartum felt like a way for her to celebrate the beauty and power of the female body. That's why Daniels says she was troubled to learn that the Boston Marathon was now allowing men who identify as women to compete in the women's category. Daniels, an avid marathon runner, shared her concerns regarding the Boston Marathon policy on social media and on a podcast with XX-XY Athletics just a few days before the marathon in April. Almost instantly, people Daniels did and did not know began attacking her over her opinion that men should not be allowed to compete in the women's category. The young mom faced threats, with individuals online encouraging Boston Marathon attendees to throw bottles at Daniels while she ran. Following the race, Daniels was kicked out of her running club for refusing to state that a man, with enough hormones and treatment, can ever become a woman. Today, she has partnered with XX-XY Athletics, a pro-women athletic apparel company, to stand up for the integrity and protection of women's sports. Daniels joins the Problematic Women Podcast to share her story and explain how her faith in God has played a critical role in her running journey. Also on today's show, we discuss Gov. Gavin Newsom, D-Calif., appeared on “The Shawn Ryan Show,” and the controversy following Chip and Joanna Gaines decision to feature a same-sex couple in their new TV series. And is “Swag,” Justin Bieber's new album, a hit or a miss? We give our reactions. Enjoy the show! Delight Your Marriage | Relationship Advice, Christianity, & Sexual Intimacy
Forgiveness is Key to Better Relationships: Interview With Brian & Heather Mayer Forgiveness can feel like the most unfair, unnatural thing in the world. When someone has wounded you—especially someone who was supposed to love you—choosing to forgive may feel like letting them off the hook. But Brian and Heather Mayer's story reminds us: forgiveness isn't about the other person's worthiness—it's about God's mercy. And it's the path to freedom, not just for them… but for you. Why Christian Marriages Struggle With Forgiveness Heather didn't realize how deeply unforgiveness had taken root. Even after their marriage began to turn a corner, her heart stayed guarded. She found herself stuck emotionally. The walls she had put up to protect herself were still up. And though they gave the illusion of strength, what they actually offered was isolation. She said, “I didn't feel like forgiving. I didn't want to say the words. But I knew the Bible said I had to. So I chose to obey—even without the feelings.” This is what many Christian spouses experience. You know the right thing to do, but your emotions don't follow. And it's tempting to wait until you “feel ready.” But true biblical forgiveness isn't based on emotion—it's a decision of the will rooted in trust that God can heal what you cannot. How Unforgiveness Destroys Connection in Marriage Brian admitted he had been prideful and blind to Heather's needs. But what changed him wasn't just guilt—it was God's grace. He realized that he needed to ask for forgiveness, not just from Heather, but from their children, too. “I had to go back and apologize, not just for being short or irritable—but for the way my behavior affected my family.” He humbled himself, opened his heart, and began walking out a different kind of love—one marked by patience, listening, and repentance. That humility created space for healing. Unforgiveness doesn't just affect the person who hurt you—it poisons your heart, your communication, your marriage bed, and even your parenting. Because where pride builds walls of resentment to isolate, humility builds bridges and invites healing. What the Bible Says About Forgiveness in Marriage God never promised forgiveness would be easy—but He did say it's essential. Ephesians 4:32 says, “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” Jesus modeled radical forgiveness on the cross. And He calls His followers to extend that same grace in our closest relationships—even in marriage. Brian and Heather didn't wait until things “felt better.” They took action. They forgave before the emotions lined up. And that obedience opened the door for healing. Choosing to Forgive Even When You've Been Deeply Hurt Forgiveness does not mean: Forgetting what happened Pretending it didn't hurt Ignoring necessary boundaries But it does mean surrendering the right to punish. It means releasing bitterness so you can receive peace. It means trusting God with your pain instead of letting it define your future. Healing Starts With Forgiveness Bitterness promises protection—but delivers bondage. Forgiveness opens the floodgates of grace—not just for your spouse, but for you. For your kids. For your home. For your legacy. You don't have to live angry. You don't have to stay stuck. There is freedom on the other side of obedience. There is peace that replaces pain. There is joy waiting where there used to be fear. And best of all? You don't walk this alone. The God who forgave you will empower you to forgive—again and again. Final Encouragement: Forgiveness Is the Gateway to Freedom Brian and Heather's story is living proof that no marriage is too far gone. That even the most painful seasons can become a testimony of God's redemption. Maybe your spouse has wounded you deeply. Or maybe you're the one who's caused the pain. Either way, Jesus stands ready to walk you both into something new. Today, start with one brave act of obedience: “I choose to forgive.” Even if your hands tremble. Even if your heart still aches. God will meet you there. And the freedom you long for is closer than you think. I have gained the ability to understand my emotions and thoughts from a more objective standpoint instead of being a victim to my thoughts and emotions... I've grown in my understanding of forgiveness and how that flushes out to my everyday life… When I joined the program, I was hoping that my work would change my husband and my marriage. I didn't realize just how much work I had for my own heart!”

Hello, beautiful. Welcome. I'm really, really grateful that you're here with me right now. It has been a while since I've come to you with a little hello. So I wanted to come here, give you a big virtual hug and say hi. How's your heart lately? How's your mind? How does your soul feel? Mine has felt a little in chaos the past couple of months. It is the summer months here, which means my kids are home full time. And it has just been a really interesting season of adjusting expectations, adjusting schedules. And as somebody who really, really loves my schedule and regularity and consistency, it has been, um, really good practice let's say really good practice to get me uncomfortable and that discomfort has actually had a lot of beautiful lessons to it and I feel like I've come out of the other side a lot wiser about myself and how I want to move in this world. So If you are going through something that makes you uncomfortable right now, just know that I believe there are lessons here to learn and there are beautiful awarenesses on the other side of it. As always, I just want to make sure to express my deep, deep gratitude for you being here listening and pressing play on our meditations across our whole network it has been seven years since the beginning of the women's meditation network and i feel like it's flown by so fast my daughter who i was pregnant with when i started this network is now about to be seven later on this year and it just blows my mind I can sort of parallel the lives of the network and everything that this is and her and it's just really beautiful to watch that growth. So whether you've been with me for seven years, or whether you have been with me for a couple months, whether you're listening for the first time, I am just so deeply grateful that these meditations are here for you, are helping you. I'm so lucky that I get to hear from so many of you quite often about, you know, what these meditations mean to you, how they're helping you. So thank you. Thank you so much for being a part of this whole experience that allows me to be in alignment with my gifts and the love of what I really do and for you to receive that and to benefit from that. So it means the world to me. One favor that I will be bold enough to ask for is for you to share this podcast. If you have found even one meditation to be helpful here, share the podcast, share it with a friend, share it with a family member, share it on social media, tag me, Women's Meditation Network, Katie Kremitzos, and just let others know about this incredible resource. It is always so beautiful to hear from our new listeners about, oh, I heard about you from a friend. So I would really appreciate the share. Okay. Today I wanted to just ask a simple question and then share something with you, some thoughts that I had about that question. Why do you fight the stillness? This question came up in my mind the other day as I was sitting down and meditating and my brain did not want to be there. I just allowed that question to be there because the truth is, is no matter how long I've been meditating, no matter how deeply I have felt the benefits of meditation, I can still come to my practice fighting, not wanting to be still. So, first of all, I just wanted to make sure that you know that all of that's okay. It is okay that your brain wants to fight this stillness. And secondly, I thought it was a beautiful question for each of us to dig a little deeper and see what's in that. Is there a reason you don't want to be still? Is there something you're scared of seeing? Are there emotions you really don't want to feel? These spaces that we avoid have so many things to teach us. And I believe that there's transformation on the other side of going through it. So with that in mind, I just wanted to share a reel that I had made that sort of magnifies this whole experience so I hope you really enjoy it! This week, something extraordinary happened: menopause took center stage at the highest levels of US government in an unprecedented way. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) convened leading experts from across the country to discuss what millions of women have been waiting to hear: their experiences matter, their suffering is real, and there may be evidence-based solutions that have been withheld. This historic hearing offers tremendous hope for women navigating menopause. Are you ready to awaken your sensuality and feel more empowered in your body? Access the FREE Pleasure Upgrade Bundle at https://www.pleasureinthepause.com/gift.I am your host, Gabriella Espinosa, and in this special episode, I dive into the profound implications of this gathering. The FDA panel, the first of its kind in over two decades, aimed to fundamentally reimagine how we approach women's health during menopause, going beyond mere symptom management. This signifies a cultural awakening, recognizing that dismissing this universal experience has real consequences for women's health, careers, relationships, and quality of life.In this episode, we discuss:The End of Silence: Menopause, once a shamed and dismissed topic, has finally entered serious public discourse, moving beyond quiet endurance to high-level recognition.A Personal Story Driving Change: The head of the FDA shared his personal story about his mother who suffered greatly due to outdated fears around hormone therapy, emphasizing that bone fractures in older women can be fatal.Dismantling Dogma: Experts revealed that vaginal estrogen is categorically safe for all women, with no systemic absorption, directly challenging the black box warning. The Cost of Fear: Data revealed that tens of thousands of women died over the past two decades simply by avoiding estrogen, highlighting the tragic triumph of fear over facts.Brain and Bone Health: Researchers presented alarming data on how estrogen decline impacts brain function and bone density, emphasizing that hormone therapy can be a critical prevention tool, not just a treatment for the elderly. This hearing signals a critical shift: women's health matters, our experiences are valid, and we deserve care based on current science, not outdated assumptions. Whether or not you choose hormone therapy, there is now hope that you can make informed decisions based on facts.Your voice matters in this conversation! The FDA is opening a public comment period on this topic. Please go to the FDA YouTube channel, listen to the full hearing, and leave your public comment. This is our opportunity to ensure today's expert testimony translates into policy changes that will help millions of women.Help us spread more pleasure in the world! Please subscribe, rate, and review this episode, and share it with someone you love. One of the most common ways guys ruin their dating lives is by putting women on a pedestal. They believe they aren't enough and that they're lucky if a woman agrees to go on a date with them. Women instinctively pick up on this. They'll sense that they have all the power—that they could easily get you if they wanted—which makes you considerably less attractive to them. The easiest way to fix this is by reframing your mindset and starting to believe that you are the prize, and that she's lucky a champion like you is giving her the time of day. In today's episode, you'll learn how to literally rewire your brain so that YOU are the one who chooses HER.
