Miriam recounts the challenges of facilitating a traditional Jewish conversion ritual for Ari and Josh in prison. She navigates assembling a beit din (rabbinic court). The ritual circumcision (milah) was performed privately by Ari and Josh using diabetic lancets despite our share of reservations. In Tales of Glory episode 108, we dive into Exodus 22. The Israelites are encamped at Mount Sinai, and we are given a glimpse into this ancient culture and how they applied the Ten Commandments. How did the Israelites handle restitution for stealing an ox or borrowing livestock and property? In ancient Hebrew culture, what was considered theft regarding a daughter? Were daughters just property, or was it also protection for the family? We tread into some laws regarding God and supernatural practices. Why were these supernatural governing laws in place? What were they referencing? #TalesOfGlory #M16Ministries #AFieldGuideToSpiritualWarfare Workshop course outline: 00:00:00 Introduction 00:06:13 Exodus 22 v1 More on Laws, Theft, and Oxen 00:08:14 Exodus 22 v5 Restitution for oxen running amok and burned fields 00:09:09 Exodus 22 v8 Going before God to resolve theft 00:10:25 Exodus 22 v11 Restitution for loss or theft when lending property 00:12:57 Exodus 22 v16-17 Restitution for man seducing a woman 00:15:54 Exodus 22 v18-20 No idolatry. In Tales of Glory episode 105, we dive into Exodus 21. This is an interesting and perplexing chapter on the Hebrews and how they were to treat their slaves. Were Hebrew enslaved people to be treated as part of the family? How were the Ten Commandments interpreted for this? We go back 6,000+ years to the Israelites in the wilderness and attempt to bring this into context. There were also other interpretations regarding harm to pregnant women and the discussion on accidents involving oxen. We're taking a minor detour through the supernatural of the Book of Exodus as we are brought in to glimpse how the Israelites interrupted the Decalogue from their earthly perspective and culture. #TalesOfGlory #M16Ministries #AFieldGuideToSpiritualWarfare Workshop course outline: 00:00:00 Introduction 00:03:21 Exodus 21 Laws About Slaves Introduction 00:05:43 Exodus 21:1-6 Correlates to the Decalogue to honoring your mother and father. 00:07:03 Exodus 21:6 Elohims - Yahweh? gods? ghosts? A Field Guide to Spiritual Warfare is the book that started it all for this ministry. This book is what I use when I go to a haunting or work with people who are under spiritual affliction. We use the "Field Guide" to spiritually bring people up to speed to become victorious on the battlefield. The "Field Guide" was written over 14 years ago and is still as powerful today as when it was first published. I have grown in ministry and my experiences since I wrote the book, and I will present the material from my 2024 spiritual warfare perspective. In Tales of the Jedi we saw the climactic end to Yaddles life at the hands of Count Dooku. It seemed Yaddle was one of the only Jedi who wasn't disillusioned with politics and disbelief that the Sith had returned. When she followed Dooku to the works which was a secret meeting spot for Sidious and his apprentices, she learned of the true nature of Dooku and Sidious' intentions to destroy the Jedi. It was here that Dooku was ordered to kill Yaddle as a final test of loyalty to Darth Sidious, his new master. Before defending herself, she gave Dooku the option to join her and kill Sidious. So what if Dooku did join her? That's what we'll discover in today's fan fiction. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
During the funeral in both Revenge of the Sith and Tales of the Jedi, we saw Padme's lifeless body being mourned in Theed City on Naboo with hundreds of thousands of people there paying their respects. In Tales of the Jedi we learned that Ahsoka was actually in the crowd as well, and while this of course wasn't in Revenge of the Sith, so don't bother trying to find her like Waldo in the crowd, as she didn't exist at the time since George Lucas hadn't released the clone wars series yet. She was seen in her gown holding the Japor Snippet that Anakin had given her when he was 9 on the ship and we see her as pregnant. It is confirmed in the Revenge of the Sith novel, that Yoda orders her to have a pregnant bump during the ceremony because he doesn't want the Empire to think the children are still alive, and for Palpatine and Vader to come looking for what they think is just one child. In Tales of The Walking Dead season 1 episode 4 “Amy/Dr. Everett” we meet two survivors with two different views on the world around them. As one follows science, the other hope, we learn that in the end one thing never changes, walkers remain a present and unending threat. The episode mostly follows, Dr. Everett who has been studying walkers, whom he calls Homo Mortuus for years. He is living in the Dead Sector which is cutoff from the rest of society It is here only walkers and animals survive together with the exception of people coming in and taking the heads of walkers as trophies. Through his research he learns how hordes are formed and wears a jacket made of walker skin to protect himself from them. As he continues his research, especially that of a walker he named Specimen 21 he meets Amy. Amy got separated from her group and needs his help as she's been feeling sick for days and doesn't have anywhere to go. Dr. Everett ignores her, focusing on his research when Amy accidentally damages the tracker on Specimen 21 while defending herself. She follows Dr. Everett to his base located in a giant tower and manages to climb up with one good hand and the other a weaponized piece of metal. Dr. Everett eventually lets her in and discovers she's been eating poisonous berries. After a night of puking and rest the two argue over his research and the world around them. Dr. Everett views walkers or “chompers” (as Amy calls them) as nature, a new form of predator like wolves. He observes, does not interfere and has already noticed strange patterns amongst them. Amy thinks he's wasting his time and desperately needs to find her group. The two split up where Amy winds up finding and tracking Speciment 21 by marking trees as she goes.

In Tales of Glory Episode 45, we dive into some spiritual warfare training by yours truly. This course was a test run for a course curriculum called Kingdom Life Discipleship. This training was the baby of a ministry friend of mine, Adrienne Powell. Adrienne and I did a lot of homeless street ministry together in San Francisco with my Night Strike outreach on Friday nights. We did a lot of prophetic ministry outreaches into pagan festivals as well. As Adrienne put together some classes, she asked me to put together spiritual warfare training for her school. We recorded this training session as a dry run in December 2017. All things were moving forward, and then everything came to a halt. We recorded a few training sessions. While cleaning off hard drives and organizing my podcast files, I discovered this training class. It was too good not to publish. 56: Owsla Scripted by John Ruths and Newell Fisher. What is an Owsla? Without an Owsla, the ONLY structure in a warren would be the Chief Rabbit. Hazel became Chief Rabbit simply based on his personality. Woundwort got to be a Chief by killing the previous one, so by a hostile takeover. Who knows how Cowslip got to be a Chief but one might guess it was simply because he was the most 'in charge'. The Chief can't do everything. And here is how the Owlsa is born. It'll be made up of rabbits who are strong enough, maybe big enough, maybe fast enough, and very likely brave enough to do what needs to be done. Adam's mentions, in his footnotes, that a good storyteller might find a place in an Owsla in some warrens. And definitely a seer such as Fiver. Anytime a group of rabbits form, an Owsla would probably more or less work themselves out. The four Owsla's of WD in order. Sandleford's Owsla The Sandleford Owsla seems to be one that tolerates petty privileges for Owsla members. And this is what gives Hazel the notion of leaving even before Fiver's premonition. It also seems to help drive Bigwig away, an Owsla member. And, for that matter, Silver. But this Owsla is nowhere near as bad as that of Efrafa. This changes in the 1978 film. When Captain Holly catches the group trying to leave Sandleford, it is worth paying attention to what he actually says. In the book, Holly is only concerned with the Owsla members Bigwig and Silver. He doesn't seem to be concerned with the rest of the group at all. But in the 1978 film the actions of the Owsla are far harsher. The group that tries to leave is larger than in the novel, seemingly including does and maybe even some kittens, and most of them are immediately rounded up. Captain Holly then intercepts the remaining bucks and tells them they are ALL under arrest. This is at 13:20. So the Sandleford Owsla of the film seems to be far more like that of Efrafa. The Warren of the Snares Owsla It seems that an ad hoc posse-like Owsla can be raised fairly effectively when needed in this warren, as in when Holly's party, escaping from Sandleford, have the bad luck to bump into them. It is this Owsla that is the only one in the book that kills a rabbit from Sandleford: the already sick Pimpernel. This is a warren where leadership and discipline has ceased to matter a long time ago and even their most dangerous actions are more motivated by their mass suicidal-delusion than any desire for self-protection. WD's Owsla Bigwig was the Chief of a "very free and easy Owsla" at the end of WD. The Owsla formed pretty early, with Bigwig as the charter member. Silver and Buckthorn were the next members. In "Tales from WD" Hazel comments, at one point, "We're all in the Owsla, really". By the end of the novel we see that the elderly chief, Hazel-rah, has a sentry outside his burrow. This may indicate that the WD Owsla has become a little more formalised. Efrafa's Owsla This is the only Owsla in the book with more than one Captain, each in charge of a Mark, or wide-patrols. The implication of the name of the chief rabbit, GENERAL Woundwort, seems to be that he is also the head of the Owsla. Efrafa has another structure that is unique in the book: the Council and their 'Owslafa' or 'Council Police'. The Council take on some of the Chief Rabbit's roles. The differences between the two security bodies are that the Owslafa is mostly concerned with internal security. The Owsla is mainly concerned with their own rabbits within each of the four marks. So an Owslafa member would never have to worry about going on Wide Patrol. On the other hand, a member of the Owsla would not be given prisoner escort duty. The council is not a representative body of each mark. In fact you could say it is more of a Civil Service. Conclusion The Owslas of WD run a spectrum of formality, from least to most formal, as follows: Snares Watership Down Sandleford Efrafa --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/watershipdown/message
