Towards the end of this episode, I share some rare practical advice for reaching out to the seemingly unreachable people, untouchable companies, or unachievable dreams you have. You use it as a practice to remember, 'I'm sending this email to God... God is sending it to Itself over (t)here. God is calling God. It feels much less impersonal when you get a 'no' or when you get no response at all. You feel like it is protection. God saying, 'No, God, other-version of Me, this is not your door. This is not your opportunity. This would hurt you. This would keep you from remembering Me. This will keep you from Practicing. Go knock on another one of My doors.' It's fun, this journey. It's not serious. Keep lightning up, keep lighting up. Keep smiling. I see you. I feel that excitement burning in you. I feel Him where you are. Do something you've never done this weekend. You will ask then, which way shall I face?_ The side from which the bridegroom cometh. That direction whence ripeness comes to fruit; That direction from which stones become diamonds. Be silent and listen to the five sounds from Heaven, The Heaven which is beyond all senses and directions. Every moment of life this wondrous Sound Reaches down from the courts of Heaven. And that awareness is prayer." -Osho This is your reminder that when you want something, it's because a future version of you already has it she's just waiting for you to catch up. Return to the Source, The Path of the Masters, Julian P. Johnson: "The message of the Masters fills the world with hope, and at the same time it offers a rational foundation for such hope. It not only tells people what they should do, but it offers them a definite method of doing it... (Johnson) "In the march of the ages, cycle after cycle, in every planet where human beings reside, the great Masters are the Light-bearers of that world. Until the end of the ages, they will remain the friends and saviors of those who struggle toward the Light... (Johnson) "The world has never been without a living Master. Beneath all other impelling forces in the creation, spirituality is the primary cause. That, and that alone, is the driving force that always leaps up to join its source. In every living being, from tiny plant up to man, the spiritual flame of life is struggling upward and onward toward its source of being, and this process and this struggle must go on until the last speck of dust returns to the central fires of Infinite Being... (Johnson) "...The Divine Spark in each one, always struggling for freedom, striving hard against adverse currents, reaches out a feeble hand toward the Master. In great kindness the Master takes that hand, unclean though it may be. After that, it may require years of patient hard work to build up the character, to strengthen the will and throw off the evil passions." (Johnson) "The Audible Life Stream is the cardinal, central fact in the science of the Masters. It is the keystone of the arch. It is the cornerstone of the structure. It is the structure itself. And it IS the Path of the Masters. One might say that the Master and the Life Stream constitute the Path of the Masters... (Johnson) Authored by Julian Johnson in the 1930's, Path of the Masters became a spiritual classic of Sant Mat and remains popular to this day. It's a kind of "theosophical" presentation of Sant Mat and Radhasoami, if you will, and has been a very influential book. Over the decades many have been introduced to this living mystic and gnostic path as a result of encountering Johnson's amazing book, The Path of the Masters. All space is filled with it... It was the saute surmadi the sound of the ab-stract, which Mohammed heard in the cave of Gar-e-Hira. Moses heard this very sound on Mount Sinai... It was heard by Christ when his Heavenly Father manifested to him in the wilderness. Shiva heard the same anahad nad during his samadhi in the cave of the Himalayas. The flute of Krishna is symbolic of the same sound. This sound is the source of all revelation to the Masters. Whoever has followed the strains of this sound has forgotten all earthly distinctions. The sound of the abstract is always going on within, around and about man. Man does not hear it as a rule, because his consciousness is entirely centered in his material exist-ence... In comparison to it, the sounds of the earth are like that of a whistle to a drum. When the abstract sound is audible all other sounds become indistinct to the mystic." - Julian Johnson, The Path of the Masters "In the inner stillness where meditation leads, the Spirit secretly anoints the soul and heals our deepest wounds." -St. John of the Cross Join us on Patreon to support the show, and tune into and participate in live video Q&As with me! What is ESG? It's Florida Republicans latest effort to distract from the spiraling living conditions in the state created under their watch by scaring white voters into believing a "woke agenda" threatens their way of life. This week's episode centers on Eatonville, the first all-Black town in America, incorporated in 1887. Craig recently focused one of his Florida Phoenix columns on efforts by residents there to fight off a development project for what is known as the Hungerford property, land Eatonville residents believe was stolen from them by the Orange County Public Schools. Our guests are Julian Johnson, founder of the 1887 First brand, and John Beacham, owner of Eatonville 1887 tours.SPOILER ALERT: John, Julian and the Eatonville residents have prevailed for now, forcing the developer of the Hungerford property to back out of the deal with Orange County Public Schools. You can support "Welcome to Florida" by becoming a monthly patron at Patreon.com/WelcometoFlorida. I'm back!! Sorry to all my listeners for disappearing the last 6 months, but I had a valid excuse. I became a dad… again! My little son Otto was born on July 28th. Exactly 1,5 years after my daughter. And let me tell you. Having two kids under 2y is such an easy ride with so much free time and long nights of deep deep REM sleep. You should totally try it. You immediately look 5 years younger ;) In today's episode, I sit down with one of the funniest people I know. He's African, but he is white. He is a philanthropist but doesn't have any money. He's an entertainer without a show. Well today, the stage is all his and I couldn't be more excited to welcome Julian Johnson back on the The Honest Podcast. Enjoy!

On this week's PCC, Dan is joined by his old college friend and former band mate John Kingsley of The Brevet. John and Dan share many things in common, most important of which is their absolute love of Bruce Springsteen. Join the gents, as they discuss Springsteen on Broadway, their countless experiences together and apart at E Street Band shows throughout the past 20 years, and what Springsteen has meant to each of them in their lives and music careers. If you're a Springsteen fan, or just a fan of two old music chums talking shop, this weeks episode is the place for you. Besides Bruce, the boys get into some talk about other musical loves such as The Grateful Dead and even a little bit of baseball and hockey talk. John also updates us on The Brevet, their upcoming tour and new music. Check out their newest single "Getaway" at the end of the show! About The Brevet One listen and it's immediately clear that The Brevet have undergone a dramaticevolution on their explosive, ambitious new album, LEGS. Synthesizing the raucous energy of their live show with sonic precision of their extensive studio history, thecollection is the California five-piece's most deeply personal and lyrically sophisticated yet, tackling perception and identity in the digital age with both subtle nuance and blunt force. The songs remain as cinematic as ever, full of rousing choruses and sing-along hooks, but they carry more weight here, propelled inexorably forward by thunderous percussion and blazing electric guitars that blend rock and roll snarl with R&B swagger. The Brevet's roots stretch back to college, when frontman Aric Chase Damm first began writing scores for student films and discovered he had a knack for crafting the kind of evocative music that yields unforgettable on-screen moments. Those early songs led to a licensing deal, and tracks from the band's two independent albums (2013's Battle of the Heart and 2017's American Novel) would go on to be featured in a wide variety of films and television shows in addition to racking up more than nine.million streams on Spotify. With all of The Brevet's success on-screen and online, the group—Damm, drummer David Aguiar, guitarist John Kingsley, and bassist Julian Johnson—was more than ready to get out of the studio and onto the stage. Over the course of the last year, they hit the road for the most intense touring of their career, performing a slew of headline shows alongside support dates with Magic Giant and festival appearances from BottleRock to Firefly. Recorded at the band's own studio in their native Orange County, California, LEGS insists on a relentless optimism, a defiant belief in the power of positivity in the face of darkness and doubt. The album's title actually stands for “Like Every Great Story,” and the record indeed contains all the elements of any memorable tale: struggle and success, tension and release, conflict and resolution. Every great story has a hero, after all, and heroes never give up, even when the going gets tough. That's what The Brevet is all about. Much has been written about the phenomenon known as lucid dreaming, where while dreaming, the individual recognizes that she or he is in a dream and is able to consciously direct her or his actions as while awake instead of passively participating in the dream experience. Perhaps the most salient element in lucid dreaming is that one is aware that one is in a dream while in it - a type of meta-awareness. The objective of what could be called “lucid waking” is to develop a similar meta-awareness of life while in the normal waking state. In other words, it is to gradually awaken within the dream of reality. Presented by longtime Rosicrucian and Martinist Julian Johnson. Julian's Bio: Julian’s story begins in the South side of Chicago, IL in 1981. After 10 years, his step-father moved his family to the well-off suburb of Hatfield, PA. In this first transition he realized his ability to explore different perspectives was the bridge between his current worldview and the viewpoints of others he wanted to befriend. After discovering his strengths in transition, change, and growth, he set out on a mission to inspire and lead others to success. His perspective continues to evolve. Julian has taught at the University of Minnesota, led teams in 5 of the 7 continents, and provided scrum services to military adventures in Europe. He has helped corporations successfully transition to new ways of getting work done and coached teams and executives which resulted in boosted trust, balance, and clarity and improved bottom lines. Whether you require agile transformation, a strategic plan, or innovative solutions for complex problems, Julian’s role as a certified Scrum Master is to be an accountability partner and bridge.
