On this Salcedo Storm Podcast:Mark Mitchell is Head Pollster of the nationally renowned, and more importantly, most trusted polling organization, Rasmussen Reports.
The Heartland Institute and Rasmussen Reports released a new poll showing that 71% of Democrats support Elon Musk being IMPRISONED for his DOGE work. This insane position is held by 80% of self-reported "liberals" from the polling. The poll results were released the same day as this episode. This is sadly not very shocking, as we take a look at what leftist-dominated Reddit says about Elon in our Unhinged segment. We also discuss DOGE's work so far, including issues at the U.S. Treasury Department, and whether or not the pork uncovered by DOGE is actually being cut. It seems many representatives want the spending to keep on rolling along. The Heartland Institute's Linnea Lueken, Jim Lakely, Chris Talgo, and S.T. Karnick will discuss all of this and more on Episode 494 of the In the Tank Podcast. In The Tank broadcasts LIVE every Thursday at 12pm CT on on The Heartland Institute YouTube channel. America is at a crossroad. The stakes are high. Freedom hangs in the balance. Will we return to business-as-usual with policies dominated by profiteers in halls of power, or will we continue on the populist path of returning government into the hands of We The People? We are in an information war where cries of misinformation are seemingly everywhere. How can we discern truth from error or outright lies? One way to gain information is through polling, but how do we know which polls are honest versus those skewed towards a political agenda? In this episode, Linda interviews Mark Mitchell, Head Pollster at Rasmussen Reports. They discuss polling methodologies, deciphering results, and what to consider as you decide on which polls to believe as you try to sift through media noise to find truth. ©Copyright 2025, Prosperity 101, LLC __________________________________________________________________ For information about our online course and other resources visit: https://prosperity101.com To order a copy of Prosperity 101 – Job Security Through Business Prosperity® by Linda J. Stunning new polling data shows two demographic groups who are not just anti-Trump, but HARD left. It's almost impossible to comprehend, actually. Mark Mitchell - head pollster at Rasmussen Reports goes over some fascinating data points related to certain voters and why much of the other polling you've been treated to is nothing more than well-funded gaslighting. SCOTUS says Hegseth and DOD can proceed with their ban on transgender troops. Why are some Republicans in the Senate holding up Trump's pick for US Attorney in DC? J. Christian Adams - president of the Public Interest Legal Foundation explains, and grades Pam Bondi's work at DOJ this far. Plus, he breaks the news of a new lawsuit directed at those who would harass and intimidate Trump voters in Pennsylvania in the last election cycle. And we check in on day one as Father Robert Sirico tells us how long it will likely take to choose a new Pope and from which part of the world he believes he'll come. -For more info visit the official website: https://chrisstigall.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/chrisstigallshow/Twitter: https://twitter.com/ChrisStigallFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/chris.stigall/Listen on Spotify: https://tinyurl.com/StigallPodListen on Apple Podcasts: https://bit.ly/StigallShow-Help protect your wealth with real, physical gold and silver. The work of promoting and preserving freedom is a marathon, not a sprint. Just like a runner in a race, we must train and prepare for the challenge. Runners increase mileage daily and maintain a nutritious diet to increase endurance. As citizens building our American culture, we must continually increase awareness and feed on a diet of truth from reliable sources. Polling, when done correctly, can be an incredible source of truth and insight into culture. Mark Mitchell, Head Pollster at Rasmussen Reports, is Linda's guest in this episode, and he shares polling data about the recent election, insights on leadership lessons, and recommendations on how to rebuild after seasons of cultural chaos. Their lively discussion is one you will not want to miss. What can we learn from the 2024 election? To find the answer, we tell the story of how Donald Trump won the race for the White House…again. The Election was a monumental moment in American history, and not just because of who won, but also because of an unprecedented shift in power…a shift the legacy media didn't see coming. Along the way we talk to Mark Mitchell, the head pollster of one of America's most accurate public polling firms, Rasmussen Reports.Support the show: https://redpilledamerica.com/support/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

It's Tuesday, November 5th, Election Day, A.D. 2024, a critical moment in the history of this country. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson Chinese Communists crack down on house churches Last month, one of the largest house churches in China, the Beijing Zion Church, was subjected to more raids. The church was banned by the government in 2018, but has continued to meet. The most recent arrests included a church elder and 11 members. Also, 25 members of Taiyuan Xuncheng Reformed Church in Shanxi province were arrested, fined, and sentenced to 15 days of administrative detention. The members had refused to sign a statement that they would no longer participate in church activities. North Korean soldiers face first combat in Russia's Kursk According to Newsweek, a Ukrainian senior official has reported the nation's armies firing upon North Korean soldiers in Kursk on the border of Russia. This was the first action involving North Korean troops in the Ukrainian war. North Korea launched Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Speaking of North Korea, it launched another Intercontinental Ballistic Missile last week — setting another record of 86 minutes in flight. This was the first missile test in a year. This time the missile hit a record altitude of 4,776 miles and a distance of 621 miles, according to the official KCNA news agency. The Intercontinental Ballistic Missile has a range of 8,100 miles, capable of reaching the United States. North Korea also touts the fourth largest army in the world, complete with 5,000 tons of chemical weapons. The military has already conducted a 35-kiloton nuclear test, twice the power of the nuclear bomb which was dropped on Hiroshima, Japan in 1945. Experts believe that North Korea is in possession of as many as 200 nuclear weapons. Rasmussen polling: Trump ahead of Kamala by 3% Here in the United States, one of the few conservative polling organizations, Rasmussen Reports, has Donald Trump ahead of Kamala Harris by 3% going into today's presidential election. Rasmussen also has Trump ahead in Pennsylvania by two percentage points. Plus, the former president leads in North Carolina by three points and Nevada by two. A billionaire election Today's election will be a billionaire election. Kamala Harris has received backing from 83 billionaires and the Trump campaign counts 52 billionaires, reports The Independent. The role of political action committees Super PACs, which take in donations of $5 millions and higher, are far more involved in the presidential race this year, as well. The political action committees backing the Donald Trump campaign have given $522 million more than they did in the 2020 campaign — a 300% increase. And the super PACs backing Kamala Harris have raised 50% more than they did for the Democratic presidential ticket in 2020. Kamala raised $1 billion; Trump raised $400 million Speaking of presidential donors, Kamala Harris raised over one billion dollars for her campaign, and Kamala Harris and Joe Biden together have spent $1.9 billion in this election. By contrast, Trump has spent $400 million. Republican Bob Dole spent $70 million on his campaign for president back in 1996. And George W. Bush spent $180 million in 2000. Bloomberg reports a total of $15 billion has been spent in the 2024 elections, up from $14 billion in 2020, and up from $6 billion in 2012. Dramatic contrast in celebrity endorsements for Kamala vs. Trump America's entertainment cast of celebrities also showed up for this election, almost in unison, endorsing Kamala Harris in political advertisements and cameo appearances at rallies. These included Beyonce, Usher, Jennifer Lopez, Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, Taylor Swift, Ricky Martin, Eminem, James Taylor, Stevie Nicks, Willie Nelson, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Don Cheadle, Leonardo DiCaprio, Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep, Harrison Ford, George Clooney, Robert DeNiro, Jeff Bridges, Will Ferrell, Jennifer Lawrence, Jennifer Garner, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Elba, Cher, Billie Eilish, Matt Damon, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Morgan Freeman, Jason Bateman, Dave Bautista, Jamie Lee Curtis, Alecia Keys, John Legend, Jon Bon Jovi, Stevie Wonder, Spike Lee, Ben Stiller, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Michael Keaton, Bryan Cranston, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, J.J. Abrams, Whoopi Goldberg, Nick Offerman, and Samuel L. Jackson. Those names were compiled by Breitbart and Forbes. This is the worldview of Hollywood and the pop music scene in America, supported by Christians who watch the movies and listen to the music. By contrast. the handful of celebrities who have stated support for Donald Trump in this election are Mel Gibson, Dennis Quaid, Jon Voight, and Rosanne Barr. Psalm 33:10-12 reminds us that “The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing. He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect. The counsel of the Lord stands forever; He plans of His heart to all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance.” J.D. Vance articulates his faith At an October 26th town hall meeting in Rock Church in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Pastor Joshua Robertson asked Trump's Vice Presidential pick, Senator J.D. Vance, about his faith. PASTOR ROBERTSON: “Political candidates aren't always clear about their faith. How do you define your faith and what do you believe?” VANCE: “I'm a devout, practicing, church-going Christian. I was actually baptized for the first time in 2019. So, that wasn't always true. “I was raised by my Mamaw because my mom struggled with opioid addiction for a big chunk of my life, and she was a woman of very profound Christian faith. She didn't graduate from high school, but she thought more about what the Bible required of her than any person that I've ever met in my life. “I served four years in the United States Marine Corps, and then, by around the time that I got out of the Marines and was starting college at Ohio State, I started to think that I knew more than Mamaw did. I started to think that to be educated, and to be knowledgeable in the ways of the world, meant that I had to discard the Christian faith that Mamaw had raised me in. “As I became a more mature young man, and you start thinking about the big questions: What do you want to be as a father? What do you want to be as a husband? What is required of me to be a good man? And I kept coming back to the answers were found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. So, that led me back to my faith. “If you work hard and play by the rules, whether you agree with my religious faith or not, you ought to be able to provide for a family, you ought to be able to give your kids a good education, and you ought to be able to build a life in this country that all of us love. That to me is the politics of the common good, and it's very much influenced by my Christian faith.” How a woman's suicide attempt leads to her courtship and marriage And finally, here's an inspiring story of a British nurse who was about to commit suicide on a summer afternoon in 2019. Charlotte was standing on train tracks, waiting for the end. But little did she know that the engineer, Dave Lay, had other plans. He stopped the train short, descended from his cab, knelt down beside the woman, and struck up a conversation. He said, “Hi! My name is Dave. Are you having a bad day?” He got her some help, but later Charlotte looked him up to say thank you. They spent a few months meeting in coffee shops, and just getting to know each other. Today, they're happily married with a couple of children, reports BBC News. But even more important is this lesson from Proverbs 11:30. “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Election Day, Tuesday, November 5th, in the year of our Lord 2024. She's surfacing today after a few days off the trail. What's up with that? The news headlines have been overwhelmingly negative for Harris. Her surrogates are running around like their heads have been cut off trying to explain the unexplainable when it comes to her economic plan and accomplishment. And what about all those polls that say Trump is superior on every specific issue save abortion, but many of the polls still have this race tied? Mark Mitchell, head pollster at Rasmussen Reports shares his insights as to how to really interpret the conflicting news in polling and what you should consider when hearing the data. Join Jim and Greg as they look at how the GOP's odds for a U.S. Senate majority seem to be improving, how Tim Walz was a massive failure on COVID deaths in nursing homes and much more, and how Chuck Schumer utterly failed to do his most important job - but will still emerge as a winner.First, they welcome a new Scott Rasmussen poll (different than Rasmussen Reports) that shows Montana Republican Senate candidate Tim Sheehy with a growing lead over incumbent Democrat Jon Tester. And several other races are inching further in the direction of Republicans. They also rail against the media for constantly labeling Democrats like Pennsylvania's Bob Casey and Virginia's Tim Kaine as "moderates" even though they vote along with the Biden administration's position almost all the time.Next, they discuss reporting that shows Minnesota's nursing home death rate from COVID was the worst in the nation under Tim Walz, due in large part to his demand that those facilities accept COVID patients after they left the hospital. Jim points out that mainstream media seem thoroughly uninterested in Walz's actual record as governor and are much more content to lazily play into the image of him as a regular guy. Finally, they groan as Congress appears on the verge of another continuing resolution to keep the government open. But they also highlight Speaker Mike Johnson's point that the House passed 12 separate appropriations bills in committee - also known as regular order - and the Senate ignored the House legislation and passed no spending bills on its own. So Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer didn't do anything to fulfill the most important function of the legislative branch.

This afternoon, Joe and David kicked off the show by diving into the latest Rasmussen Reports, which recently spotlighted the ongoing "Georgia trust deficit" that has persisted since the 2020 election. In their analysis, they underscored that the lingering mistrust continues to shape the political landscape. The conversation then shifted to the recent findings from Def Con, where it was demonstrated that voting machines remain vulnerable to hacking. They also touched on how just as counties in Wisconsin were making significant moves to ban these machines before the 2024 election, the Department of Justice (DOJ) stepped in and threatened legal action. Later in the show, Joe and David welcomed special guest Mark Cook. Together, the trio tackled the rampant election fraud plaguing the country, highlighting how easily voting machines can be compromised. Mark Cook also shared the proactive steps he's taking to advocate for hand-counted votes as a more secure alternative. In closing, Joe teased some exciting updates coming soon to FrankSpeech, and wrapped up the episode with a heartfelt prayer.

SERIES 3 EPISODE 14: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:44) SPECIAL COMMENT: You heard that right. RFK Junior will drop out of the presidential race tomorrow. Whether or not he then endorses Trump reportedly depends on when his wife, Curb Your Enthusiasm actress Cheryl Hines, relents on her opposition to Trump. Of course it may not matter. There is no reliable polling on what Kennedy's remaining support thinks of Trump or Harris or anybody else. And despite what individual state polls suggest, national polling suggests he's been taking 2% or 3% support from both Kamala and Psychotrump. The other wild card is what position in his cabinet Trump is willing to offer. I'm thinking "Secretary of Bears." THE OTHER NEW POLLING IS SO ASTONISHING that the whole thing may be irrelevant. Rasmussen Republican polling has her up by one in Wisconsin. University of New Hampshire polling has her having gone from four behind Trump in the conservative Maine 2nd District to five points AHEAD of him. And Politico analyzed ten quality polls and suggests that the data suggests the snowball is forming. MEANWHILE TRUMP'S GREATEST FREUDIAN SLIP EVER: His antisemitic trope about Democrats and Jews is well known by now. "If Jewish people vote for her they ought to go out and get their heads examined." And yet on the Hugh Hewitt show yesterday he forgot the back half of it. He stopped after "go out" and started talking about something out. The part he left out was "get their heads examined." Trump also made up a story about Harris meeting with Putin before the Ukraine invasion. This also sounds crazy but may be less insanity and more an indicator that the Trump campaign is giving up on actually winning at the ballot box and just amping up the conspiracy theories so its minions in state legislatures and the House can try to steal the election by coup after Harris wins. B-Block (21:05) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: How could you misspell Bruce Springsteen's name? A Philly hotel managed to do it! Rudy Giuliani says Steve Bannon is being "tortured" in prison (I wish), and should the FBI or Secret Service be visiting Hulk Hogan and asking him why he threatened the Vice President of the United States? C-Block (29:30) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: A non-broadcasting friend of mine brought up the name the other day and I was surprised he knew him. Meet the former president of MSNBC who threatened - while his screams were audible in the background live on the air - to destroy and kill me. The 2013 law has been in litigation for over a decade. According to Barna's description, Evangelicals are those who recognize their sinful lives, rely upon Jesus Christ for their redemption, and receive practical life guidance and wisdom from the Bible in their quest to live under the Lordship of Jesus. Phil Donahue dead at 88 Hebrews 9:27 says, “It is appointed once for man to die and after that the judgment.” Iconic TV talk show host Phil Donahue, who hosted the Phil Donahue Show from 1967-1996, is dead at 88 years of age after a long illness, reports NBC News. He was a life-long Catholic, and “not a very good one,” in his own words. Phil Donahue interviewed atheist Madalyn Murray O'Hair For 29 years, his daytime talk show pioneered an intriguing mix of serious topics, provocative guests, well-known celebrities, and questions from the audience members. In 1988, he interviewed atheist Madalyn Murray O'Hair. Listen to his introduction. DONAHUE: “Mrs. O'Hair is probably the world's most famous atheist. She is certain that there is no God. Mrs. O'Hair, as you probably know, is singly responsible for one of the most controversial decisions in the history of the United States Supreme Court, the banning of the official reading of prayer in public schools.” Here's a soundbite from their dialogue. DONAHUE: “Now, this really bugs me, Madalyn.” O'HAIR: “I know it does.” DONAHUE: “See, you say, ‘I don't know how this all began.' And I say, ‘I want to know why, if you don't know how life began, how you're so certain there is no God.' To be consistent, I think you should say, ‘I don't know where life began, and I don't know if there's a God.' O'HAIR: “All right, let me finish it then, because, this is the thing. Since we don't know about this, since none of us know.” DONAHUE: “Know what?” O'HAIR: “How it began, or why, or when, or if it began at all. What we have to do is take all of the evidence. If we pile the evidence up, and all of the evidence of science -- and it's really massive -- is on one side, and on the other side is a book that we know, for the most part, when it was written and how it was written, etc. -- and this flies in the face of all of the other evidence, then you discard the book. You say, ‘It's no good.'” DONAHUE: “But discarding the book doesn't necessarily prove that there is no God. Let's talk about a higher being.” O'HAIR: ‘No, not a being.” DONAHUE: “What do you call it?” O'HAIR: “Some higher entity.” DONAHUE: “Alright, a higher entity. You are saying you don't know if there is one, aren't you?” O'HAIR: “That's right.” DONAHUE: “That's not atheism. That's agnosticism.” (O'Hair giggles) Donahue was married to Margaret Cooney, his first wife, for 17 years with whom he had five children. Then, Donahue married actress Marlo Thomas, his second wife, for 44 years. The Heartland Institute's Jim Lakely, Chris Talgo, Justin Haskins, and S.T. Karnick present episode 459 of the In the Tank Podcast. Heartland recently commissioned some polls with our friends at Rasmussen Reports – together, among the only organizations doing serious polling research on election fraud. Our latest finding: No less than 62% of likely voters are concerned that cheating will affect the outcome of the 2024 election in November. And why might that be? Maybe because nearly 20% of those same voters said they received multiple ballots in the mail in 2020. Committing voter fraud has never been easier in America. It's a national crisis few are brave enough to talk about, and fewer with the power to fix our elections are lifting a finger to stop.PRIMARY TOPIC – WORRIED ABOUT ELECTION CHEATING New Poll Shows Americans Are Very Worried about Election Integrityhttps://heartland.org/opinion/new-poll-shows-americans-are-very-worried-about-election-integrity/ Heartland/Rasmussen Poll: Large Majority of Voters (62%) Are Concerned Cheating Will Impact 2024 Electionhttps://heartland.org/opinion/heartland-rasmussen-poll-large-majority-of-voters-62-are-concerned-cheating-will-impact-2024-election/ Heartland/Rasmussen Poll: One-in-Five Mail-In Voters Admit to Committing at Least One Kind of Voter Fraud During 2020 Electionhttps://heartland.org/opinion/heartland-rasmussen-poll-one-in-five-mail-in-voters-admit-to-committing-at-least-one-kind-of-voter-fraud-during-2020-election/ Heartland Institute Poll Shows Nearly Three in 10 Voters Would Vote Illegally in 2024 Presidential Electionhttps://heartland.org/opinion/heartland-institute-poll-shows-nearly-three-in-10-voters-would-vote-illegally-in-2024-presidential-election/ Exclusive: 2024 Georgia Election Poised To Explode Thanks To Secretary Of State's Inactionhttps://thefederalist.com/2024/08/01/exclusive-2024-georgia-election-poised-to-explode-thanks-to-secretary-of-states-inaction/?
Likely voters in the latest Rasmussen Reports survey not only give her effort a failing grade but plan to consider the disaster in their vote for president in November. Black voters are waking up and beginning to realize Democrats won't need the black vote as illegals are replacing you. Plus more on this episode.
Recent polls imply a challenging road ahead for President Joe Biden should he decide to run for re-election. A study performed by the esteemed Rasmussen Reports reveals a prevailing concern regarding the President's mental acuity that is gaining more momentum since a Juneteenth event at the White House. As per their assessment, most respondents are not optimistic about Biden's cognitive sharpness. Grooving to the music and festivity seems to be the norm during the Juneteenth celebrations, but a video depicts a static Biden, displaying only a smile while gazing straight ahead. This stationary portrayal of the President, coupled with his speech inconsistencies often seen in social media, enhanced these concerns. The internet has been a harsh critic in echoing his factual missteps and blurred discourse. In a startling comparison, online critics juxtapose Biden's recent speeches with those conducted a few years prior, showing a marked difference. According to the survey from Rasmussen Reports, 57 percent of those polled feel that the President's mental agility is on the wane. Even a segment of Democrat voters, along with a significant number of Hispanic and black voters, expressed similar verdicts. Many accuse the mainstream media of declining to expose Biden's perceived mental decline, despite the availability of corroborating video evidence from public events. Rasmussen's study points towards a widely-held sentiment among voters that the media is in collusion with the Democratic Party and the White House to act protective of Biden as he marches towards his potential re-election bid.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

A new emblematic poll conducted by Rasmussen Reports has broadcasted that the 45th U.S. President, Donald Trump, commands the most respect amongst a list of political leaders in America, with his first term's legacy becoming clearer and clearer to the population each passing day. The mentioned poll, organized through phone calls and online surveys over three days (February 5-7), gathered insights from 749 potential voters. The participants were requested to answer the question, 'Among Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Donald Trump, Nikki Haley, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Mitt Romney, who do you esteem the most as a leader?' Notably, the participants acclaimed President Trump as the top figure, crediting him as the most admired by an influential 42% of the respondents, whereas President Biden was viewed as the most respected by 21% of participants. Significantly, Barack Obama, the former President, gained acknowledgment from 17% of the voting participants. Other distinguished individuals contemplated in the poll were Senator Bernie Sanders from Vermont, whose leadership won respect from 5% of the surveyed individuals, and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, who was similarly admired by 5% of survey respondents. Additionally, Utah's Senator Mitt Romney was perceived as the most respected by 3% of survey participants, and the former Democratic nominee for President, Hillary Clinton, garnered respect from a mere 2% of participants.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Recent public sentiment shows an unfavourable tilt towards the term 'Bidenomics', with the common belief that its promotion by President Biden might inadvertently aid former President Trump's chances in the forthcoming national election. The decision to use this term was viewed as a gamble from the start, echoing parallels with historical precedents such as the use of 'Reaganomics' that backfired on the sitting president. A Rasmussen Reports survey published last Thursday elaborates this by revealing a lack of public faith in 'Bidenomics.' The findings illustrated that the electorate, by a margin of 44% to 26%, perceived this term as a potential booster for Trump's campaign rather than Biden's in the upcoming election. Around 23% were indifferent, implying it would not influence the election's result. The survey further disclosed a psychological association between 'Bidenomics' and a longing for the comparative economic stability during Trump's tenure. A substantial 48% of the respondents felt that Biden's economic strategies paled in comparison to Trump's, while 38% held the contrary view as indicated by the report. When prompted for their opinion on 'Bidenomics,' the majority responded with negative sentiments. In response to the direct question, 'Do you approve or disapprove of 'Bidenomics'?', 51% disapproved, while 42% approved, underscoring the public skepticism towards 'Bidenomics'.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
The election of 2020 is still a question mark in many Americans' minds, and now a new survey from The Heartland Institute and Rasmussen Reports shows why concerns should be very much founded. Fully one-in-five mail-in voters committed fraud, either innocently or knowingly; in the end, to take from Hillary Clinton -- what difference does it make? Fraud is fraud no matter the motivation. And Jim Lakely, VP at Heartland, says the fraud occurred on such a widespread basis that Donald Trump definitely has a point when he says his election was stolen.

On Tuesday, Ferromex halted 60 trains carrying cargo due to recent spate of injuries and deaths occurring from migrants catching rides. “Despite the grave danger,” some hitchhikers even jumped aboard moving freight cars, the company said. “There has been a significant increase in the number of migrants in recent days,” Ferromex said in the statement, according to AP, noting that the temporary suspension of operations was being done “to protect the physical safety of the migrants.” On Wednesday, President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador called the company's decision "strange" and "unusual." According to Ferromex, the worst problems appeared to be further north. The company said there were about 1,500 people gathered at a rail yard in the city of Torreon. The company also reported about 800 migrants waiting at the freight yards in Irapuato, in the north-central state of Guanajuato. About 1,000 people were reported to be riding freight cars on the train line that connects the northern border city of Ciudad Juarez. Ferromex is Mexico’s largest concessionary rail operator and the impact of the train stoppage will be “very important,” said Ana Bertha Gutiérrez, the international trade coordinator for the Mexican Institute for Competitiveness. According to estimates from the company, the decision to halt the 60 trains translated into a daily loss of about $2.34 million. On Wednesday, some operations had been restarted for routes where there was no "heightened risk," Reuters reported, but company executives are set to meet on Friday with members of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection and members of the Mexican government to discuss next steps. https://www.dailyfetched.com/opening-the-floodgates-greg-abbott-accuses-biden-admin-of-cutting-razor-wire-at-border/ ‘OPENING THE FLOODGATES:’ Greg Abbott Accuses Biden Admin of Cutting Razor Wire at Border The news comes amid tension between Texas officials and the White House over the migrant crisis at the Southern border. Abbott made the announcement Wednesday. “Texas installed razor wire in Eagle Pass to stop illegal crossings,” Abbott explained on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Today the Biden Admin CUT that wire, opening the floodgates to illegal immigrants.” “I immediately deployed more Texas National Guard to repel illegal crossings & install more razor wire,” the Republican governor added after accusing the Biden admin of cutting it at the border. Abbot later posted a letter he sent to Joe Biden, declaring that the President’s policies caused “an invasion at our border,’ The New York Post reported. “We are building a border wall, razor wire & marine barriers,” Abbott wrote. “We are also repelling migrants,” he added. Earlier this year, the Department of Justice (DOJ) sued Texas for installing a buoy barrier, which was designed to prevent illegal immigration, on the Rio Grande. The barrier was part of Abbott’s Operation Lone Star. The DOJ claimed that the barrier obstructed “the navigable capacity of waters of the United States,” adding that it raised humanitarian, environmental, and public safety concerns. A federal judge initially told Texas to move the buoys, but a US Court of Appeals upheld that decision. The case is currently being deliberated through courts. The Daily Fetched reported earlier in September that the Biden administration allowed thousands of illegal immigrants to pour into America through “welded open” floodgates on the Arizona border. The open floodgates in Tuscan are now the busiest point of illegal entry into the country.” A post on Instagram by James Breeden showed illegal aliens arriving “from as far away as Senegal, India, and China.” The Biden administration is also dismantling, disposing, and auctioning portions of the Mexican-American border wall constructed under Donald Trump. Border wall material, including “thick wall tubes,” has been sold on the auction site GovPlanet since April 2022. https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/policy/defense-national-security/poland-stop-weapons-ukraine-grain-imports Poland to stop providing weapons to Ukraine as dispute over grain imports intensifies Poland will stop providing weapons to Ukraine the Prime Minister announced on Wednesday, due to a growing dispute over grain. “We no longer transfer weapons to Ukraine because we are now arming Poland,” Morawiecki said on social media. While Poland has been one of Ukraine’s staunchest allies since Russia invaded in February 2022, due in part to concerns about further aggression from Moscow should it successfully topple Kyiv, they are currently in dispute over Poland, Hungary, and Slovakia's intention to defy a European Union decision to suspend a ban on Ukrainian grain imports which had been in place to protect the livelihood of local farmers. The ban had been put in place earlier this year by several EU nations to protect local farmers who were worried about being undercut by low prices of Ukrainian grain. Ukraine has filed lawsuits against each of the three countries at the World Trade Organization over their intent to defy the ending of the restrictions. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky referenced the subject during his address to the United Nations General Assembly, saying, “It is alarming to see how some in Europe, some of our friends in Europe, play out solidarity in a political theater — making a thriller from the grain.” The remarks prompted immediate condemnation from Polish leaders, who went as far as to summon the Ukrainian ambassador to Warsaw to share their “strong protest.” Polish Foreign Minister Pawel Jablonski told Ukraine’s ambassador that Zelensky’s statement was “untrue,” given Poland had been “supporting Ukraine since the first days of the war.” He also said, “Putting pressure on Poland in multilateral forums or sending complaints to international tribunals are not appropriate methods of resolving disputes between our countries,” according to a statement from the ministry. The Polish-Ukrainian standoff has escalated ahead of Poland's upcoming elections on Oct. 15. Poland has provided Ukraine with Soviet-era tanks, fighter jets, and other weapons, making it the sixth biggest military donor to Ukraine, according to the Kiel Institute for the World Economy, and it has taken in more than 1.5 million refugees. Now, Poland, Morawieki told Polsat News, "will protect our country." “We are no longer transferring any weapons, because we will now arm ourselves with the most modern weapons.” https://www.newsmax.com/newsfront/kevin-mccarthy-volodymyr-zelenskyy-joint-address/2023/09/21/id/1135367/ McCarthy Denied Zelenskyy's Wish to Address Congress House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., declined Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's request to deliver a joint address to Congress, as he did last December, multiple outlets reported. The New York Times first reported the denial Wednesday. Zelenskyy is in Washington, D.C., in part, to beseech lawmakers for more aid in Ukraine's war against Russia. Instead, McCarthy met with Zelenskyy privately along with House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., and other committee chairs and ranking members. Zelenskyy met with senators after that meeting. McCarthy's denial, citing time constraints of a busy week, comes amid House Republicans' struggle to beat a Sept. 30 deadline to pass spending bills in order to prevent a government shutdown. The U.S. has sent more than $100 billion to Ukraine in military, financial, and humanitarian aid since Russia invaded in February, 2022, but Republican lawmakers are pushing back on sending any more. In an exclusive interview with Newsmax on Wednesday, Zelenskyy said the cost of Russia prevailing in Ukraine is greater than American dollars. Zelenskyy is also meeting with President Joe Biden at the White House and will visit the Pentagon. https://thenationalpulse.com/2023/09/21/almost-3-4-of-americans-think-the-nation-is-becoming-a-police-state/ Almost 3/4 of Americans Think The Nation is Becoming a Police State Almost three-quarters of Americans – 72 percent – admit to being concerned that the United States is becoming a “police state” engaging in mass surveillance, censorship, ideological indoctrination, and the targeting of political opponents, according to a recent survey from Rasmussen Reports. Of those concerned, 46 percent told pollsters that they were “very concerned” that the state is becoming tyrannical, with 26 percent answering “somewhat concerned.” Only 23 percent of Americans said they were not concerned, with less than one in ten Americans answering “not at all concerned.” Rasmussen also asked the 998 likely American vetoers whether they agreed with the statement: “The FBI is a danger to the freedom and security of law-abiding Americans?” Half of the respondents agreed with the statement, with the majority answered “strongly agree.” Republicans overwhelmingly agreed, with 45 percent answering “strongly agree” and another 23 percent answered “somewhat agree.” A total of 45 percent disagreed with the statement, with 26 percent strongly disagreeing. Democrats felt more strongly that the FBI assists freedom and security as 36 percent strongly disagreed, and a further 22 percent somewhat disagreed. Lastly, Rasmussen asked whether those surveyed: “Which political party is a bigger threat to basic liberties in America: Democrats or Republicans?” Unsurprisingly, the vast majority of both parties – 76 percent of Republicans and 65 percent of Democrats – told pollsters the opposition party was the greater threat. However, more Democrats believe their party is a bigger threat at 26 percent than Republicans at 20 percent.
