Il conto alla rovescia è iniziato: il 19 novembre l'Università di Cagliari accoglierà per la prima volta #NonCiFermaNessuno, il tour motivazionale ideato da Luca Abete, storico inviato di Striscia la notizia. L'appuntamento si terrà alle 10:00 nell'Aula Magna della Facoltà di Ingegneria e Architettura di via Marengo 2, alla presenza del rettore Francesco Mola, che aprirà l'incontro con un saluto istituzionale. La campagna, nata nel 2014, è stata insignita della Medaglia del Presidente della Repubblica per il suo valore sociale. Negli anni ha toccato oltre 100 atenei italiani, raccontando storie di resilienza, solidarietà e determinazione, coinvolgendo migliaia di studenti in un dialogo autentico e partecipato. un tour che ascolta e valorizza le fragilità dei giovani L'edizione 2025 ruota attorno al tema del disagio giovanile, affrontato con il linguaggio diretto e coinvolgente che da sempre caratterizza Abete. Protagonista simbolico dell'incontro sarà il Golden Buzzer della Solitudine, un totem interattivo che dà “voce” all'isolamento dei ragazzi, invitandoli a condividere emozioni e pensieri spesso taciuti. «Essere finalmente qui, guardarsi negli occhi, significa tornare a dare valore all'ascolto – spiega Luca Abete –. La nostra campagna vive di presenza, di parole che uniscono e di storie che diventano strumenti di crescita». Storie vere, premi e connessioni che ispirano Nel corso dell'evento verrà assegnato il Premio #NonCiFermaNessuno a uno studente o a una studentessa dell'ateneo che abbia dimostrato resilienza e spirito di iniziativa di fronte alle difficoltà. Il format rimane quello di sempre: niente lezioni frontali, ma un talk interattivo in cui ogni testimonianza diventa un'occasione di confronto. Il pubblico potrà partecipare attivamente, porre domande e condividere esperienze, in un'atmosfera che unisce leggerezza, emozione e riflessione. Non mancheranno ospiti speciali, gadget e momenti di condivisione che renderanno la mattinata indimenticabile. Al maanden wordt er gezocht naar een advocaat voor Nederlands grootste crimineel: Ridouan Taghi. Gisteravond verliep een deadline voor advocaten om zich aan te dienen en morgen gaat Taghi's hoger beroep verder, maar de vraag is of dat wel echt kán. Want wie stapt er na acht voorgangers, van wie er drie zijn opgepakt, nog naar voren? In deze podcast vertelt strafrechtadvocaat Jan Hein Kuijpers wat je als advocaat bij zo'n besluit tegen elkaar afweegt en wat het betekent om in zo'n grote zaak te stappen. Kuijpers staat twee andere verdachten in het Marengo-proces bij en was in het verleden de advocaat van Willem Holleeder toen Moskovicz het werk moest neerleggen. Hij kent het wereldje en alles wat er bij komt kijken als je advocaat bent in complexe strafzaken van verdachten uit het criminele milieu. 'Het is óók gewoon leuk,' zegt hij. Justitie-redacteur Remco Andringa zet uiteen wat de gevolgen van Taghi's advocatenprobleem zijn voor het hoger beroep in het Marengo-proces en welke scenario's er voor liggen mocht het Taghi niet lukken om een advocaat te vinden. Slaget vid Marengo var långt ifrån det största slag som Napoleon Bonaparte utkämpade, men på många sätt var det ett av hans mest betydelsefulla. Den militära situationen i Italien var prekär våren 1800. Frankrike stred mot en koalition av stormakter som hade det militära övertaget. I Paris hade Napoleon genomfört en statskupp i november 1799, och ett militärt nederlag i Italien hade inneburit ett hårt fall från piedestalen för den korsikanske uppkomlingen. En seger i det pågående kriget mot Frankrikes fiender skulle däremot stärka Napoleons grepp om makten och skapa förutsättningar för ännu fler franska utrikespolitiska framstötar.I detta avsnitt av Militärhistoriepodden ger sig Martin Hårdstedt och Peter Bennesved i kast med en av Napoleons klassiska segrar.Napoleon ledde en armé över Alperna i maj 1800 och kunde inom några veckor driva österrikarna mot fästningsstaden Alessandria. Han hade dessutom försvagat den armé han hade tillgänglig för att möta österrikarnas anfall genom att skicka iväg två avdelningar norrut och söderut. Tanken med denna spridning av den franska armén var uppgifter om att österrikarna höll på att ta sig ur Napoleons inringning.Den österrikiske befälhavaren, fältmarskalk Melas, fattade i detta läge beslutet att gå till anfall i stället för att invänta en fullständig inringning. Anfallet tog fransmännen mer eller mindre på sängen. Det första Napoleon gjorde när det österrikiska anfallet inleddes var att kalla tillbaka general Desaix och hans division, samtidigt som han samlade de reserver han hade och mötte anfallet. Good morning from Pharma and Biotech daily: the podcast that gives you only what's important to hear in Pharma and Biotech world.Novartis recently acquired Regulus for $1.7 billion, signaling a trend of increased M&A activity in the pharmaceutical industry. Many companies have hinted at upcoming deals during recent earnings calls, which is seen as a positive sign for the biopharma ecosystem amidst challenges like tariffs and potential drug pricing pressures. GSK remains optimistic about M&A opportunities despite the threat of tariffs, with CEO Emma Walmsley emphasizing a cautious and disciplined approach to dealmaking. Trilink Biotechnologies has introduced custom sets of mRNA for screening studies, offering flexibility and scalability for research needs. The AACR 2025 conference featured promising data from Marengo and Briacell, while Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla has been lobbying against pharmaceutical industry tariffs proposed by President Trump. Novartis, GSK, and AstraZeneca are facing challenges and making strategic shifts in response to political and market conditions. Tariff uncertainty is impacting Q1 earnings, with companies like Merck taking significant financial hits. Despite these challenges, the industry remains active with mergers and acquisitions. Upcoming events and job opportunities in the biopharma sector are highlighted.

La Organización Mundial de Meteorología acaba de publicar su último informe sobre el Estado del clima en América Latina y el Caribe, y los resultados no son buenos. "Ya no da ni para esperar ni para ignorar", afirma experto a RFI.  En los últimos años, la temperatura del agua que rodea a los latinoamericanos ha subido 1 grado, provocando consecuencias devastadoras, como el aumento de tormentas, huracanes o inundaciones, como las del Rio Grande do Sul. Periodos de sequía e incendios en el Amazonas, o peor aún, la desaparición del glaciar venezolano Humboldt."La naturaleza está mostrando sus garras, o sea, la tendencia del calentamiento global más intensos y más extremos es ya una realidad. Los datos científicos, los satélites, todos lo muestran. Los gobiernos tienen que comenzar a actuar, no esperar, con políticas públicas de adaptación, de reducción de riesgo de desastres, ya no da ni para esperar ni para ignorar", afirma José Antonio Marengo, uno de los investigadores que ha participado en este informe. Si miramos a la Latinoamérica actual, con la aceleración del cambio climático, no sólo cambiará el clima de los países, sino también el mapa. Las zonas costeras quedarán inundadas. Aquellos pueblos construidos, donde anteriormente había agua, podrían verse arrasados por lluvias torrenciales, o incluso, aquellos que viven en zonas frescas deberán migrar ante el aumento de las temperaturas. "Toda América central es muy vulnerable, está identificada como una de las áreas más vulnerables del mundo. Otra zona sería la región andina donde están los glaciares, hay personas viviendo ahí y si esos glaciares desparecen, se acabó el agua para Lima, Quito y Bogotá. Otras áreas afectadas son también las más próximas a la Amazonía", nos explica Marengo. A pesar de todos estos datos y las decenas de voces de expertos como la Jose Antonio, la llegada de escépticos del cambio climático a los gobiernos no ayuda para nada en esta lucha y preocupa a los científicos. "Hay muchos de esos expertos que hacen lobby para las compañías de petróleo, son personas que simplemente están buscando popularidad", advierte Marengo. Así las cosas, los científicos insisten en que se puede desacelerar el ritmo del cambio climático, siempre y cuando los gobiernos y los ciudadanos se pongan manos a la obra. Además, el informe da una buena noticia, en 2024, las energías renovables en América Latina supusieron el 69 % de la energía generada en la región.
