Dustin & Cory are ELITE players in their field. Just hit the Google machine and their accomplishments will have you scrollin' for quite a while. Hailing from the east side of Columbus, these two continue to impress with Max Effort, Old School Gym, and their digital fitness businesses that just keep on growing. Their down to earth, no bull shit approach to life and business is something that I've always admired, and I was literally never gong to stop hounding these two until they said yes to coming on the show. There's no one cooler than these two in my eyes, and I hope you enjoy our chat as much asa I did.
There's something about the vibe of the old school, black iron gym. Whether it's a powerlifting dungeon straight out of the 80's, a bodybuilding gym packed full of machines and dumbbells, or a weightlifting hall with rows and rows of platforms, the single-purpose gym dedicated to training (not merely exercise) is a special place. A place where shit gets done, where hard effort and consistency are the primary currency. These gyms are hard to find, but you know them when you walk in the door. The energy is palpable. In today's world of online coaching and affordable home gym setups, many trainees haven't experienced this sort of old school gym, and they probably should! If you're serious about your training, you owe it to yourself to train at a gym like this. Whether you're a novice struggling to squat 315 (or 200!) or a you've been at it for years and feeling burnt out, training at an old school gym -- even if it's just for a little while -- can ignite some fire and passion in your training program and set you up for success. For this episode of the Wrestling Strength Podcast I am joined by my longtime friend and real life guitar hero Jutt Huffman. Forest Belli grew up in the Old School Gym as a young wrestler from nearby Northridge. He went on to have a standout high school career which led to wrestling D1 for the Princeton Tigers. Having recently completed an internship on capital hill and writing his Princeton senior thesis on “countering political violence due to online radicalization”, I sat down with Forest to get a better understanding of how our government is set up, how it works (or fails to work), and what we can all do to make it better. Cory Gregory, fitness entrepreneur, owner of Max Effort Muscle, Cory G Fitness, and Old School Gym is back on the podcast this week to talk about the release of his new book HOW TO BUILD CONFIDENCE & WIN AT LIFE, dropping today! You can find it on Amazon and on Audible where there's podcasts with his RoundTable podcast partners after each chapter On the podcast the boys break down his journey from the trailer park into the fitness entrepreneur he is today. Why he wrote the book and what it means to him. He dives into the writing process and how he overcame his literary limits to tell his story and inspire and guide others with this book. There is a big emphasis on getting into the spotlight to gauge not only your abilities but your confidence. Cory then tells his take on self-awareness and intuition he used to change his circumstances. This leads into the development of self belief and the observations that led him down the entrepreneurial path. A massive part of the conversation and the book emphasize the power of questions, and the impact of asking yourself questions and full heartedly pursuing the answers. So the boys chop it up on the friction it takes to start an endeavor and the non-negotiable habit of consistency and going all in to get what you want out of life, and the acceptance of the time and years, and depth of knowledge and curioisty it truly takes to master your craft and master your confidence. Then he goes on to explain why he shares his craft and holds a standard for those in his circle. Hope you enjoy!

In Season 2 of episode 5 of Inside The Labyrinth podcast, Jay and I had the privilege of speaking with and learning from Cory Gregory. This episode meant a lot to me because back in 2012 when I was training for College football, Cory was one of the main guys I looked up to. There was an app called "8 Tracks" which would play random music, or I would play motivational talks that Cory was featured in. Cory was a huge part of my journey for 8 years and still is today. Cory speaks about how he grinded his way through life from growing up with little money, to working in a coal mine, to breaking powerlifting records, becoming a pro bodybuilder, and much more. This episode spoke volume from the start. If you are looking to make yourself better in the fitness and business world, this episode is for you. If you need to get out of your own head, this episode is for you. If you want to hear from a man who went from living in a small trailer to owning his own successful business...this episode is for you. Jay and I want to thank you for WAKING OUR ASSES UP and for taking your time to drop knowledge and laughs with us. LUNGE UNIVERSITY! ========================================================================================================================================== "From coal miner to cover model, you say? Cory Gregory was built from a foundation of grit and willpower to make his life something special.
