Episode 58 of the Five Point Move Podcast welcomes back Ellis Coleman, who after a two-year hiatus from competition returned to action this past winter and just two weeks ago won the Olympic Trials. Coleman, 32, now has his sights set on placing in the top-3 at the World Olympic Games Qualifier in Istanbul, Turkey. Coleman had appeared on three previous episodes of the program but it has been a while. One thing that has not changed is his forthrightness. As always, the multiple-time World Team member takes a candid approach to a variety of topics, including the implications of the aforementioned World Olympic Qualifier, the impact of his coaches from Illinois, acclimating overseas, and what his plans will look like if his spot at the Paris Olympics is secured.
Welcome to the Locked On NBA Big Board podcast! In part one of our series on the 2024 Nike Hoop Summit, Rafael and James Barlowe delve into the standout performances from the World Team. Despite high expectations, the World Team fell short, succumbing to a 23-point loss to Team USA, largely due to their lack of depth. Nolan Traore emerged as a bright spot, showcasing impressive skills and potentially becoming France's future point guard alongside Victor Wembanyama and Alex Sarr. Rafael passionately makes the case for AJ Dybansta as his top prospect globally, regardless of class, while James shares his insights on VJ Edgecombe's contributions. Wrapping up, the Barlowe Brothers exchange thoughts on the struggles of African prospects Khaman Maluach and Ulrich Chomche, who managed only 6 points combined. They also touch on the inconsistent player measurements reported throughout the week, providing a comprehensive look at the 2024 Nike Hoop Summit World Team's performances and prospects. Tune in for more insights in part two!
In Part II of the 2024 Nike Hoop Summit breakdown, Rafael and James Barlowe share their thoughts on the top performances from Team USA's 95-78 victory over the World Team. They begin by discussing Asa Newell's impressive display, highlighting his 17 points and 10 rebounds, showcasing how he outshined highly touted prospects Khaman Maluach and Ulrich Chomche. Moving on, the Barlowe Brothers analyze Cooper Flagg's standout game, where he recorded 19 points and 11 rebounds. However, despite his strong showing, doubts about Flagg's NBA potential and his billing as a potential top pick in the 2025 draft emerge from an NBA scout. In the final segment, Rafael and James turn their attention to the Rutgers duo of Dylan Harper and Ace Bailey, expressing particular concern over Bailey's shot selection. As they wrap up, James vocalizes his thoughts on Isaiah Evans' fit at Duke, pondering whether Kentucky, under new coach Mark Pope's pro-style offense, might be a better option for the talented player.

Before committing his life to pastoral ministry, and civil rights activism, Léonce was a collegiate All American in wrestling, nearly made the World Team in wrestling and a professional football player. Leonce is the author of the recently released: The Resilience Factor, which forms the basis for our conversation. We talk about leadership, self-censorship, the low view that people have of leaders, abuse of power in the church and how to still be a leader in the midst of all the accusations, and the pros and cons of highlighting leadership failures in the church and what this does for leaders who are not narcissistic, power mongering, domineering men who cover up abuse in order to save face and keep their positions of power.
