Inhale some spice and get ready for the sandworm ride of your life, because we read Frank Herbert's 1965 epic Dune and it's 1984 adaptation written and directed by David Lynch. We get into the genius that is Herbert's groundbreaking and genre-bending novel before trying to make sense of Sting in a space diaper. The confusion kicks off with Virginia Madsen's disembodied head giving us a lot of exposition and things go down dune hill from there. We're kicking off our annual Halloween month off right in our usual fashion of singing :) We read the 1967 novel Rosemary's Baby by Ira Levin and watched the 1968 adaptation directed by Roman Polanski starring Mia Farrow! We loved both for their unconventional takes on the horror genre, but we especially take a moment to bow down to Ruth Gordon's portrayal of Minnie Castevet. What did Ginny, who had no prior knowledge whatsoever about this film, think of that shocking ending?! Tune in to find out! Keep in touch @Radaptations and radaptationspod@gmail.com.
