Our goal is to live according to God's word. A biblical Christian applies biblical ethics to words, decisions, and actions."Situational Ethics" is when your ethics or principles change according to the situation. You compromise what you believe because of the people you are with, the potential gain, a fear of missing out, or what you think you might lose if you stick to your beliefs. Do you have a sliding scale of right and wrong, based on the situation?Watch the message at: https://www.abundant.church/sermons

This live stream is much needed. So many peole do not understand that sin is sin regardless of the situation. One CAN NOT do evil that good may come. Sadly many fall into the tray of 1 Timothy 1:7 of not knowin what they say nor what they are affirming by what they say. It is like we have forgotten how to think. It's usually fine to slaughter a cow. But not always. The limitation of the law known as 'oto v'et beno', the cow and its young, is instructive regarding our general moral obligations
How dare Sue Duffield suggest that someone should only speak “their truth!” But what if this is “her truth?” Shouldn't she be free and able to speak “her own truth?” Your truth (and her truth) may not be the actual truth, and that is not just her truth, but the truth. How confusing…truthfully. LOL. Episode 137 dares to challenge situational ethics. What does the truth do to people? Is it motivating to hear the truth, or is it something that makes you mad? And why does it seem that absolutes have disappeared and evaporated into thin air? And why can't we talk to each other anymore without getting hot under the collar? The pun and truth of those questions stir up the realities of Sue's childhood, recalling her grandmother saying, “Well, If everybody jumps off the Walt Whitman Bridge, does that mean you will too?” (That was usually in response to Sue asking or wanting to conform to her friends' desires or wants.) Or, the truth of this saying, “Go ahead, play out in the street in traffic. Your truth will be - you'll get hit by a car!” Desiring biblical truth and living by the gospel of truth, is liberating. And if it makes you mad, there's a good chance truth has hit your last nerve of denial. There's an infinitum of scripture in this episode. It's so much better sharing the truth of God's Word, than opinion. www.sueduffield.com

In this podcast episode, Michael discusses how mindfulness applies to situational ethics, exploring in practical detail the two wings of the practice: calming (samatha) and insight (vipassana). This lecture was part of an older version of Michael's online course, Embodying Ethics & Vows in Modern Life (recorded in 2015).
#005 Much of our modern culture denies absolute truth. If there is no absolute truth there is no way to determine if something is right or wrong. This moves everything to a category of situational ethics. We can see this playing out in our culture, how it hurts people, and how political parties take advantage. Absolute truth is real and cannot be denied. This discussion opens the conversation about the importance of absolute truth.Visit Experience Ministries website for more information about who we are and the ministries we provide.https://experienceordination.org/We are praying this information helps you understand how much God loves you and how to grow closer to Him on a daily basis.

To understand the behavior of animals is to understand how the vast variety of behaviors across species develop as well as how they function and change according to different contingencies. In pursuit of such understanding, Dr. Nicole Dorey researches animal behavior and training practices, and among many other topics, has studied mirroring behavior, preference assessments, environmental enrichment in enhancing behavioral welfare, and the sensitivity of dogs to human behavioral cues. Conversation in this episode centers around the benefits of training animals without using positive punishment, instinct versus operant learning in animal behavior, the modern role of zoos, and more. Apologetics Live episode 110 Andrew, Justin, and Anthony discuss ethics. Is there a time that we can compromise God's law for the better good? They get into a deep discussion on when as Christians do we need to stand up against oppression and when do we display love for our enemies. People use situational ethics to justify disobeying God. Many use situational ethics to decide what is right. The problem is that when people use situational ethics they put themselves in God's position to decide right from wrong. The team was joined by Peter, who provided a very powerful testimony of how God took him some a child that was sold as a sex slave, into the occult, to save him and make him a defender of others. Peter was joined by Chris Hohnholz of Voice of Reason Reason. They discuss is it cowardice to love our enemies? Wisdom-Trek / Creating a LegacyWelcome to Day 545 of our Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me.This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to WisdomFixed Truth or Situational Ethics? – Wisdom UnpluggedThank you for joining us for our 5 days per week wisdom and legacy building podcast. This is https://wisdom-trek.com/captivate-podcast/day-545/ (Day 545) of our trek, and it's time for our 3-minute mini-trek called Wisdom Unplugged. This short nugget of wisdom includes an inspirational quote with a little additional content for today's trek. Consider this your vitamin supplement of wisdom for today. So let's jump right in with today's nugget. Today's quote is from John Adams, who said, “Neither the wisest constitution nor the wisest laws will secure the liberty and happiness of a people whose manners are universally corrupt.” After a contentious election cycle in the US last year, this quote gives us a great point to ponder. The fact is that regardless of what the constitution or laws of any country say, it is the heart of the people that will determine the general direction of the country. If the populous chooses to live with integrity and honor, then the constitution and laws will follow the path of what is right, just, and fair. On the contrary, if the populous chooses to live by a code of situational ethics instead of a fixed moral code, then the constitution and laws will be interpreted in such a way to fit the situation and rationalization of those people. Regardless of the political correctness that seems to permeate much of our political realm today, there are truths and moral codes that do not change. For nations to exist over a long period of time, these fixed moral codes must be followed, both for the general populous as well as the leaders of the nation. God's truth will ultimately win out for all nations of the earth. Psalms 33:11-13 shares this insight, “But the Lord's plans stand firm forever; his intentions can never be shaken. What joy for the nation whose God is the Lord, whose people he has chosen as his inheritance. The Lord looks down from heaven and sees the whole human race.” That's a wrap for today's Wisdom Unplugged. If you enjoy these quotes, I have created and published a searchable database of over 10,000 quotes that I have collected for many years. If you would like free access to my database of inspirational quotes, the link is available on the main page of https://wisdom-trek.com (Wisdom-Trek.com). IL #172: Situational Ethics and the Art of Dishonesty, Cheating, and Lying.
40:08 clean healingtouchpodcast@gmail.com (Gilead Baptist Church, Taylor MI)
Pastor Jack begins his teaching focusing on 'Situational Ethics' when we as believers begin to rationalize our wrong reactions to everyday situations that cause us to drift further and further away from integrity.
Governor Sanford, Congressman Wiener, Governor Schwarzenegger, President Bill Clinton all have something in common: they cheated on their wives and lied about it. Was that their true character shining through? Or a momentary lapse? Dr. Piercarlo Valdesolo, co-author of “Out of Character, Surprising Truths about the Liar, Cheat, Sinner (and Saint) Lurking in All of Us” says we are all … Read more about this episode...
“Beware of Situational Ethics” 1 Samuel Ch. 13: 1-23 (11/22/09)
Does the Bible teach situational ethics? Can morals/ethics change based on the situation?
