Because they are complicated, confusing and simply not the same as a 1975 Ford truck. Granted a 2026 Ford truck more resembles my Volvo under the hood than it does a 1975!Ford truck, but the basics of combustion engines haven't changed in 200 plus years. This element of nuanced enhancement and evolution are expected and even appreciated in industrial, automotive, manufacturing, engineering and electronics not so much in the pillars and principles of character and leadership. Ironically, the faster and more data inundated it gets, the more errors, omissions and gaslighting we humans experience. Funny thing to me is this - whilst some of the conjecture of old books has been debunked, theories disproven and methods reconsidered, much of it is not. In fact it seems many details and understandings were better founded, better researched and better articulated before computer scientists inserted their ease of access to information. Many times a polos process sounds great around the conference table, looks good to the liability protection squad, (risk mitigation) and feels like a reasonable thinking those who must execute said policy. When 50%+ of all social media accounts are NPC or non human entities we must ask some serious questions. Who is actually leading us? Where are we being lead? By “we” I mean society at large, more specifically humankind, more specifically people susceptible to coercion, manipulation and crude persuasion. As the rhetoric heats up and the propaganda continues, the crowds of under informed, emotionally motivated, politically provoked bipeds represent a genuine threat to survival. At risk is civil society. Hanging in the balance is accountability. Weighing on the minds of the everyday parent is the wellbeing of their offspring, their financial goals and their version of the American dream. It's one thing to consider bot farms driven by human interaction, influencers who can be held accountable or responsible. It's a whole other threat level to consider AI bots proselytizing their own inventions of civilization.
