The problems with the solutions Big Fertility pushes extend beyond a lack of informed consent; there are not only significant medical risks for moms and their future children (which are often downplayed or not mentioned at all) as well as bioethical concerns which many have never even considered until well after consenting to one of these reproduction methods. If we continue on this transhumanist trajectory, we can expect so see the normalization and encouragement of artificial eggs and wombs. On the bright side, the tides are turning. Countries are waking up to the harms of some of these practices and setting firm boundaries to protect women and children. Some countries, like America, unfortunately still operate like the Wild West and put the wellbeing of mothers and children last at the expense of the desires of intended parents. I'm talking all about the benefits of known sperm donation with Danielle Winston of The Seed Scout @theseedscout on today's brand new episode of The Egg Whisperer Show. When Danielle and her partner, practicing pediatrician Dr. Paige Kennedy-Winston, were looking to build their own family, they quickly realized the space of sperm banking was riddled with roadblocks for most families. The process was highly impersonal, the anonymity and lack of diversity adding to the problem, and options seemed extremely limited. That's when Danielle and Dr. Kennedy-Winston took matters into their own hands and found their own donor. They got the idea for their sperm donor matchmaking concierge service, The Seed Scout, from their own first-hand experience. With Danielle's business and law background and Dr. Kennedy-Winston's pediatric experience, they made The Seed Scout a reality by taking a human-centered, ethical approach to known sperm donation that's founded on the belief that it's a basic human right to know the identity of one's donor and genetic origins. In this conversation, Danielle and I talked all about:

Today, Ali has two incredible guests: Eve Wiley is a leading advocate against fertility fraud after discovering that she was conceived with a different sperm donor than her parents were told. Dylan Morgan is the COO of Cascade Cryobank. Together, they are working on advocating against fertility fraud and increasing transparency when it comes to donor sperm protocols and procedures. Eve talks about discovering that she was a victim of fertility fraud, and how she is combating it through legislature and her advocacy work. Dylan talks about being a sperm donor and the ways that Cascade is doing things differently than many other sperm banks. Valerie Bauman, is an investigative reporter for Newsweek, solo mother by choice, and author of one of my favorite memoirs in the solo moms space, Inconceivable:Super Sperm Donors, Off-the-Grid Insemination, and Unconventional Family Planning. She openly discusses the emotional challenges of navigating this path, including a heartbreaking miscarriage, before welcoming her now 3.5-month-old baby boy. Valerie's story is a testament to the resilience and strength of women who, as she puts it, "intentionally build what they want."Our conversation also touches on important topics such as the bioethics of the sperm donation industry, the anxiety that often accompanies pregnancy, and making empowered choices as a mother. If you've ever felt torn between the life you want and societal expectations, this episode will resonate deeply. In this episode, we discuss:Valerie's decision to become a mom during the pandemic and what sparked her journey;Navigating the sperm donor process and finding a donor on Facebook; The shift from considering traditional sperm banks to seeking a known donor; Her miscarriage and the emotional toll of almost accepting life without motherhood;Anxiety during pregnancy and the struggle of waiting for the other shoe to drop; The power of creating the life you want as a woman—regardless of societal norms;Bioethics in the sperm donation industry and the need for better regulation; And more!

There's a big difference between someone who's a father, and someone who fathers. God doesn't just want to adopt us into His family and then leave us to our own devices -- He wants an ongoing, ever-growing, father/child relationship with us. Jesus tells us in Scripture that when we ask our Father for all that we need, He's faithful to provide for us.
There is a very big difference between someone who is a father and someone who fathers. Rather than simply adopting us into His family and letting us be, God desires a continued growing father/child relationship. Jesus tells us to ask our Father for all that we need and He will provide it. We must never forget to thank Him for the gifts that He gives. On this episode of Life Points with Rhonda, we unravel the startling saga of Jonathan Jacob Meyer, the Dutch sperm donor who may have fathered over a thousand children worldwide. We dissect how Meyer's actions—charging €165 per session and operating under the radar of ethical guidelines—led to widespread outrage and a court-ordered ban. Despite the legal ramifications, Meyer remains unapologetic, continuing his life as a YouTuber and musician. We scrutinize the risks of accidental incest and genetic complications, emphasizing the urgent need for stringent regulations in sperm donation practices to prevent such ethical breaches.Exploring beyond Meyer's individual story, we uncover the global ramifications of serial sperm donors exploiting system loopholes. We discuss the desperate need for a global registry, stricter limits on donor contributions, and heightened accountability from fertility clinics. Through real-life accounts, we reveal the psychological turmoil faced by donor-conceived children discovering an overwhelming number of half-siblings, leading to issues of identity confusion and mental health struggles.
