How you share your work with others does a lot of heavy lifting for you. Despite the myriad ways you can show what you make—through social media, websites, private viewing links, or even WhatsApp screenshots—curators, collectors, commissioners, and gallerists still rely on one timeless format - the curated artist portfolio. So, in today's episode, Ceri walks you through how to create an artist PDF catalogue—a portable, compelling visual story that does justice to your work. She looks at what it is, why it matters, what to include, and how to make it feel unmistakably you. KEY TAKEAWAYS Think of your PDF as your practice in portable form. It should do three things - show what you make - show why it matters and make it easy to connect with you and your work. Your portfolio should feel like an extension of your practice. But don´t try and shove everything in like an overstuffed sofa. Instead, curate your best pieces. Start with a hero image, and choose others that help you to tell your story. PDFs can circulate offline, be printed or saved to desktops. They travel further than you can. Sometimes landing in rooms you didn't even know you were being discussed in Your portfolio isn't a tombstone it's a living document. It should evolve as you do and should flow like a story. During the episode, Ceri shares full details of her recommended order and formatting, for each page. BEST MOMENTS “How you share your work with others does a lot of heavy lifting for you.” “Your PDF is your story distilled. It's your visual CV, artist statement and show reel all in one.” “Your portfolio should feel like an extension of your practice, whether your work is bold, tender, chaotic or refined, let that inform your visual choices, typeface, colour, accents, pacing, even a handwritten note or sketch can help communicate tone.” “Think art magazine, not PowerPoint. Let the work lead. Minimal doesn't mean boring. It means confident.” PODCAST HOST BIO With over 35 years in the art world, Ceri has worked closely with leading artists and arts professionals, managed public and private galleries and charities, and curated more than 250 exhibitions and events. She sold artworks to major museums and private collectors and commissioned thousands of works across diverse media, from renowned artists such as John Akomfrah, Pipilotti Rist, Rafael Lozano-Hemmer and Vito Acconci. Now, she wants to share her extensive knowledge with you, so you can excel and achieve your goals. **** Ceri Hand Coaching Membership: Group coaching, live art surgeries, exclusive masterclasses, portfolio reviews, weekly challenges.

When midnight struck on December 31st of last year and 2025 arrived, the magic of the number was undeniable, echoing through Kater Blau, Holzmarkt, and Kiosk ID—and calling for a celebration like no other. As our lasers lit the night, two core Kiosk ID artists—Britta Arnold and Sascha Cawa—took to the decks, weaving a spellbinding journey crafted specifically for this moment. Months in the making, they unfolded a beautifully hypnotic tribute to the magic of 25, premiering five tailor-made tracks in the process. That moment lives on as Kiosk ID no. 40—a special double LP capturing the magic of that night. Side A features the live New Year's recording: an unfiltered document of Britta and Sascha's hypnotic, otherworldly, and deeply danceable set, as it unfolded in real time—strobing into the first moments of the new year.

Guided by seven fundamentals, dubbed return on environment, Mary Cook Associates is known for bringing art and science into the spaces the firm designs, driving measurable results for both residents and its collaborators. In the student housing space, rather than focusing on current trends, the firm positions itself as a “design choreographer” by co-crafting experience beyond just interiors. In this podcast episode, I'm joined by Josh Kassing, Mary Cook Associates' Senior Vice President, as we delve into the main factors reshaping student housing design. Rather than following a checklist and trying a “one-size-fits-all” approach, Kassing believes that student communities should speak to their residents through flexibility, tailored experiences and design finishes. At the same time, the whole process should combine a clear-eyed look at research, feedback and operations, so it appeals to the next generation of students who are no longer impressed just by flashy features. Kassing believes that student housing design should be a coordinated system and that aligning its intent with day-to-day use improves outcomes for residents and operators. The conversation also touches on the need for tailored solutions in the sector, including the firm's “Built to Spec” collaboration with Morgan Li, launched in April this year. Instead of relying on the “catalogue effect” when designing a space, customized furniture can solve common space problems and add to the students' experience. Here's what we touched on:MCA's growth story and why student housing surged (01:15)Student vs multifamily: how are these different? (03:29)Wellness and mental health as a holistic matrix, not checklists (07:41)Pairing programs with real execution (09:07)The “unseen experience”: designing downtime between programmed moments (10:07)Student housing design with a Gen Alpha focus in mind (12:27)Why “one-size-fits-all” doesn't work for student housing (15:51)Targeting identity through thoughtful design (19:07)Built-to-spec furniture with Morgan Li: ending the “catalog effect” (23:00)What's “return on environment” about? (33:52)Next wave: ditch precedent, observe real behavior and AI's “internet” moment (37:44)

Welcome to No Hacks, the podcast that cuts through the noise to reveal the truth about the future of work and the impact of AI. In this episode, we're taking a look into the phenomenon of "vibe coding" – the idea that you can simply describe an app to an AI and have it magically built. Is Vibe Coding the shortcut to tech success, or just another false promise?Sani argues that the hype around pure vibe coding mirrors the deceptive playbook of dropshipping gurus: selling a dream that ultimately profits the platform, not the aspiring creator. We break down the seductive promises, expose the harsh realities, and reveal the catastrophic failures that occur when the "vibes turn bad."What you'll learn in this episode:What Vibe Coding Really Is: Understand the difference between responsible AI-assisted development and "pure" vibe coding, where code is accepted without full understanding. The Anatomy of a Hype Cycle: Discover the striking parallels between the vibe coding phenomenon and the dropshipping course industry, from their sales pitches to their hidden realities and who truly profits.A Catalogue of Catastrophes: Hear real-world horror stories of instantly hacked startups, data deletion disasters, and AI models that "lie"—illustrating the dangers of relying on AI without deep technical oversight. The 80/20 Trap: Explore why AI can get you 80% of the way to a prototype, but that crucial final 20%—security, scalability, and integration—requires uniquely human skills. The "No Hacks" Skills for the AI Era: We conclude by revealing the four critical, future-proof skills that will define the next generation of builders and leaders in technology: Systems Thinking, Problem Decomposition, Architectural Integrity & Security, and Expert Curation.Don't fall for the illusion of "irrational confidence" in tech. Tune in to understand why deep, durable skills, not magic, are the real path to success in the age of AI.Important links from the episode:https://www.reddit.com/r/cscareerquestions/comments/1jmyk5k/seems_like_the_guy_who_invented_the_vibe_coding/https://www.finalroundai.com/blog/vibe-coding-failures-that-prove-ai-cant-replace-developers-yethttps://www.louisbouchard.ai/genai-coding-risks/https://medium.com/@lars_13145/system-thinking-and-ai-redefining-software-product-development-a193a08119bchttps://instil.co/blog/critical-thinking-in-the-age-of-ai-and-why-it-still-matters/https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lance_StephensonComparison table---If you enjoyed the episode, please share it with a friend! No Hacks websiteYouTubeLinkedInInstagram
Kev and Corey are going head to head! Kev's away visiting family and the boys didn't want to start a new season while he's over in England. God only knows what gibberish he'll be filling his head with! Probably not much worse than the crap he'll be filling his belly with! In the meantime, we decided that we'd set up a bracket by picking sixteen albums each, from the ones we've reviewed, and pit them against each other on Discord, to see which one will reign supreme! But will Corey load up on Metallica? Will Kev sacrifice any top picks to secure beloved favourites? And will someone turn off that damn car alarm!!!!???The only way to find out is to turn on, tune in, and put me in coach, I'm ready to play!Don't forget to follow us on social media and leave us a rating/review if you're enjoying the show!Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/UltimateCatalogueClashBluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/ucatalogueclash.bsky.socialDiscord: https://discord.gg/76F8G8FEX8Ko-Fi: https://ko-fi.com/ultimatecatalogueclash Hosted on Acast.

These threats can range from unauthorized surveillance, physical attacks, and even cyber attacks. Drones have revolutionized the critical infrastructure sector by enabling efficient and cost-effective inspections, reducing the need for manual labor and minimizing safety risks associated with hazardous environments, while providing real-time data and high-resolution imagery, allowing for more accurate monitoring and maintenance of infrastructure assets, leading to improved operational efficiency and reduced downtime.
