The Pink Boot Society national conference Taylor Lane is our guest on Brew Ha Ha with Steve Jaxon and Herlinda Heras. She is local chapter president of the Pink Boots Society. She is also a Lab Supervisor for Gallo Sonoma, and used to do the same job for Russian River Brewing. Also in the studio today is Simone Yingst from the Santa Rosa Central Library. We also have a special guest, Simone Yingst from the Sonoma County Library. She is an adult services librarian at the downtown Santa Rosa library. There is a talk series called The Future is Fermented, happening at the library on May 22. The Pink Boots Society The Pink Boots Society is a national organization founded in 2007 by a woman brewer who realized that she was often the only woman in the room at beer events. They work on education, offer scholarships and support networking among its members. They have expanded their membership from beer people to people who work with any fermented beverages, and from women to also include non-binary persons. The Pink Boots Society National Conference will be in Philadelphia, June 24-26, 2024. See our sponsor Victory House at Poppy Bank Epicenter online, for their latest viewing and menu options. Taylor Lane has a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree in Microbiology. She thought that would lead her into the veterinary or pharma field, but she discovered fermentation when she took a class in fermentation while in grad school. That made her realize that she knew all about the processes of making beer and other fermented foods and beverages. A job at Russian River would soon follow, as the lab supervisor. Taylor continues to thrive in the same role at Gallo Sonoma. Russian River Brewing Co. is open in Santa Rosa on 4th St. and at their big Windsor location. Visit their website for up-to-date hours, menus, beers and more. A delivery has just arrived from Old Possum and Flagship BBQ who are putting on a birthday event soon. Mushrooms and their magic go back — way back, far and wide. In fact they are responsible for bringing life to earth and they are an integral part of our survival. In this episode we talked with mushroom master, Taylor Lane. Taylor is a Spiritual Business Coach, Podcaster and creator of the Entrepreneurs Mushroom Accelerator Program. She is living and breathing her dharma, helping empower people to live their very best lives. Taylor has worked with many plant medicines but has found the most deep and profound healing with medicinal mushrooms (psilocybe cubensis). She breaks down how mushrooms work, the stigmas surrounding them, macro vs. micro dosing and shares about her journey with them (and ayahuasca). She provides great context on things to consider before working with plant medicine and she reminds us to empower ourselves and to trust in our own intuition before deciding what is right for you. This episode is full of knowledge — we learned a ton (and had lots of fun) and we hope you will too. Connect with Taylor on Instagram @taylor.elizabethlane. December 10, 2021 — Trails and railroads have been top of mind lately. Last month, the Skunk Train made a controversial move to purchase the Georgia Pacific mill site in Fort Bragg. And the master planning process for the Great Redwood Trail is poised to get going in the new year — under the shadow of the Coal Train, which could stall progress on the trail's federal application indefinitely. In the meantime, some cities along the former railroad are quietly building segments of trail adjacent to the tracks that run through town, adding benches and plants, turning the old easements into parks. The City of Ukiah has built three segments of the trail, from its northern boundary to Commerce Drive, just south of the airport. Earlier this year, the city got a three and a half million dollar grant from the California Natural Resources Agency's Urban Greening program to build another two miles south, to Taylor Lane. Andrew Stricklin, the Associate Engineer with the city's Public Works Department, spoke Thursday morning about the next phase of the trail.
Taylor Lane shares the details of a very weird date experience. The pop culture segment covers a range of topics from a tale of two sexy rappers to a shocking death that took place on the set of filming. Taylor Lane rants about the hardest parts of her transition into full-on adulthood.

The Pop Culture Segment gets quite intense this week. Taylor Lane admits to a lapse in her feminism after a listener asks a very interesting question about marriage proposals. Every bad bitch has bad days. Manners do matter, don't be a freak.

A range of relationship questions are addressed in the listener letters this week, from new flames to the struggles of keeping a long-term relationship spicy. When you’re providing a spiritual-based business service, you’re investing your heart and parts of your soul into your client’s journeys. That’s why it’s absolutely essential that you set energetic boundaries. Otherwise, you risk being energetically depleted and unable to provide the best of yourself. About Setting Energetic Boundaries in Business First, I wholeheartedly recommend that you eliminate any kind of distractions that interfere with your highest vision. I personally don’t watch the news or consume too much television. I’ve also never been overly invested in movies. Eliminating distractions is personal, so what works for me might not work for you. Find where you’re being the most distracted and start reducing the time you spend on these activities. Next, I really want you to start trusting in your own self and your own magic. It’s not up to someone else to tell you how incredible you are - you are already a goddess. When you step into your own power - and own your power - you give out so much incredible magic and your audience will be attracted to you. But when you have such an attractive client base, it can be hard to create a work/life balance. You might find this by having a phone number or app (like Voxer) just for clients, building weeks off into your schedule, and making sure you have regular days off. The last boundary I’d really urge you to set is with social media. Social media can be such a time suck that it’s essential to set some kind of limit. Don’t be afraid to curate your feeds and set time limits on your app. What do your energetic boundaries look like? Where can you set firmer aligned boundaries to define your personal life and business life? Let me know in the comments, lovely! In This Episode Why you need to eliminate any distractions that interfere with your vision [5:30] What it looks like to eliminate distractions [7:45] Why you need to trust in your own self and your own magic [14:30] How to achieve a work/life balance [20:30] Why you need to set boundaries with social media [25:30] Quotes “You are a powerful frequency all by yourself. You are a secret sauce, a secret ingredient, to the world’s recipe. What we need and what the world needs from you is for you to attune to your own frequency without being influenced by other people’s frequencies.” [7:51] “It’s so important, as you continuously uplevel in your vision, that you continuously redefine what your boundaries look like with people in your life and your business. You’ll find that you can’t be all the things to all of the people anymore. It’s okay to set boundaries and be less available to the people who aren’t adding to your vision.” [16:34] “This is the fun thing about creating a vision and being the creator of your own life. You get to decide how this looks for you. There’s no rule book. You get to truly feel into what feels good for you.” [21:51] Resources Mentioned Join The Soul Savvy Collective Facebook Group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/soulsavvytribe) Find Sarah Flynn Online (https://sarahjflynn.com/) Follow Sarah Flynn on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/sarahxflynn/) | Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/sarahflynncoaching) | YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1vmQ8rg-xfhHBLvqJ8qzcA) If you liked this episode, please check out some others: Episode 22: 5 Insights into Spiritual Entrepreneurship (https://sarahjflynn.com/episode-22-5-insights-into-spiritual-entrepreneurship/) Episode 24: Heart Led Success that Blooms from Within with Taylor Lane (https://sarahjflynn.com/episode-24-heart-led-success-that-blooms-from-within-with-taylor-lane/) Episode 38: How to Get More of What You Want (https://sarahjflynn.com/episode-38-how-to-get-more-of-what-you-want/)

Life is exhausting right now. We’re all experiencing waves and symptoms from the new earth, from this evolution, and from the ascension. This is your permission slip to slow down and pause that need to hustle all the time. This is your permission slip to just be. About Permission to "Just Be" My guides are giving me a message that I’ll be honest, I haven’t been listening to. And if I’m really honest, I didn’t want to listen to it. Their message made me feel so uncomfortable and like I would let go of the control I had in my life. I’ve finally started listening to their message. That message is that you need to give yourself to “just be.” Just be whatever you need to be right now. Let that hustle culture go, relax from the need to constantly go-go-go, and just take the time to just be. There is so much going on in the world right now. We’re evolving and expanding at a rapid pace. I know without a doubt that you’re experiencing these waves of extreme exhaustion, too. Lovely, you need to be gentle with yourself right now. You are not lazy, you’re feeling these shifts and ascension symptoms and yes, they are a bit overwhelming. The ascension process is intense. Most of us who are experiencing symptoms aren’t giving ourselves space to process and integrate them. But my guides are telling me, in absolutely no uncertain terms, that we need to give ourselves space to fully just be. To allow our bodies, souls, and minds to process the intense healing, uplifting, and shift in perspective that our world is experiencing right now. I guarantee you that life will fall into place for you. You won’t feel like you’re swimming in place any longer; that flow will pick you up and carry you to the next step of your soul’s journey. The frequency of the new earth is smooth. Life doesn’t need to be hard anymore. It’s time to just focus on your energy and your vibration. Focus on filling yourself up first. Everything else will fall into place. Where in your life, relationships, and business do you feel energy leaking out of you? Let me know in the comments, lovely! In This Episode Why you need to be gentle with yourself right now [5:30] What the ascension process should look like [7:30] What happens when you give yourself the space to fully “just be” [11:45] What the frequency of the new earth is [19:00] Quotes “You’re not lazy, you’re not any of the things that you think that you are. It’s really important for me to keep reiterating the fact that you are upgrading, your DNA is changing, we’re receiving more light, we’re holding and storing more light in our bodies, we are dealing with a worldwide collapse of the systems as we once used to know it. Give yourself a break.” [5:12] “When was the last time you actually gave yourself space to allow the divine to come in and do its work? To come in and make magic happen? This is really the space that I’m inviting you to get in right now. The space of just being. The space of allowing yourself to receive. The space of taking your foot off the gas for just a minute and seeing what unfolds naturally without even trying.” [18:07] “Life doesn’t need to be hard anymore. You don’t need to hustle anymore. You can just be and focus on your energy, your vibration, and filling yourself up. You can allow all good things to come to you.” [19:09] Resources Mentioned Join The Soul Savvy Collective Facebook Group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/soulsavvytribe) Find Sarah Flynn Online (https://sarahjflynn.com/) Follow Sarah Flynn on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/sarahxflynn/) | Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/sarahflynncoaching) | YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1vmQ8rg-xfhHBLvqJ8qzcA) If you liked this episode, please check out some others: Episode 31: Creating ‘The New Normal’ (https://sarahjflynn.com/episode-31-creating-the-new-normal/) Episode 23: Preparing for the Shift to the 5th Dimension (https://sarahjflynn.com/episode-23-preparing-for-the-shift-to-the-5th-dimension/) Episode 24: Heart Led Success that Blooms from Within with Taylor Lane (https://sarahjflynn.com/episode-24-heart-led-success-that-blooms-from-within-with-taylor-lane/)
Investing in your own health, wellbeing, and healing is one of the most productive things you can do. Not only does it help you, but it also benefits others around you, including Mother Earth herself. I’m joined by ego coach and Mother Earth Healer, Pippa Leslie, to talk about her own experience working with others to heal their egos and heal the earth. About Pippa Leslie An ego coach and Mother Earth Healer, both combined to help others heal to heal the world. Pippa Leslie works closely with women to help them ditch their toxic ego to own their purpose and divinity. When we align and Awaken to our spark and calling, our life starts to quantum leap back to the path we chose to be on. Pippa strongly believes that we have to heal ourselves to help heal our planet. To rise with Mother Earth. Connecting deeply to animals and nature, she has a natural ability to communicate with those around her. After having a quantum shift in 2020, Mother Earth presented herself to Pippa in nature to help her remember who she is, that her gifts and work was needed. She’s here to serve mother earth and her wonderful life on our planet. About Healing Yourself to Heal The Earth Pippa Leslie starts this conversation by explaining what her own quantum leap looked like. It’s so important to realise that everyone’s leap and spiritual awakening will look different. These are as personal to each individual as every other aspect of their life. For Pippa, it was a connection with Mother Earth that resulted in her first quantum leap. She explains what this energy feels like and how you might start to connect with Mother Earth yourself. It’s a very peaceful feeling, something divinely connected to nature that we can, actually, all achieve. As a world and as individual societies, we are so disconnected from the earth energy. Humanity used to be so connected, and while many Native and aboriginal peoples still are, most of us have lost this connection. This disconnection manifests so many different ways in our lives. Pippa explains what we can learn from watching and interacting with the plant life around us. She encourages us all to bring plants into your home and start communicating with them. Each plant has its own energy and vibration and we can learn so much from them. As an ego coach as well, Pippa explains how our ego is connected to earth energies. Pippa talks about why we feel triggered in certain situations and how we can heal these parts of ourselves. When we learn to heal ourself, we can help heal other people and the earth, too. I want you to give your Ego a name. What is it? Let me know in the comments, lovely! In This Episode What your Quantum Leap might look like [11:00] What Mother Earth’s energy feels like [13:00] How to connect with the energy of Mother Earth [23:30] Why we feel so disconnected from Mother Earth [29:00] What we can learn from watching and interacting with plant life [32:00] How to work through your triggers and heal your inner child [38:30] Quotes “Everyone’s Quantum Shift is different to you. It’s going to be completely different to who you are. You could be sat on the toilet, in the shower, mopping the floor, you could just be on a walk in nature.” [7:52] “Your parents, no matter who they are, they’re exactly who you want them to be because they’re pushing you down the path that you’re meant to be on. It’s remembering that you’re birthed through them and you chose them for this life.” [21:48] “It’s a ripple effect, isn’t it? When you’re doing things from the highest self, when you’re serving yourself, you’re serving other people.” [36:28] “When we’ve been triggered, we want to work on it straight away. But don’t; give yourself a few hours, journal it out. It’s having compassion. Taoism talks about having compassion for all life and we have to see ourselves in every single person. That is the ultimate goal for me. We’re all the children of Mother Earth. We’re all fighting battles that we don’t know, we’re all fighting traumas that we don’t know about, we have to have compassion. When you’re healing yourself, you are healing the world.” [42:50] Resources Mentioned Find Pippa Leslie Online (https://motherearthrising.co.uk/) Follow Pippa Leslie on Instagram (https://instagram.com/MOTHEREARTHHEALERPIPPA) | Facebook (https://facebook.com/groups/THEEGOCOACH) | LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/in/pippa-mother-earth-healer-30372467/) Join The Soul Savvy Collective Facebook Group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/soulsavvytribe) Find Sarah Flynn Online (https://sarahjflynn.com/) Follow Sarah Flynn on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/sarahxflynn/) | Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/sarahflynncoaching) | YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1vmQ8rg-xfhHBLvqJ8qzcA) If you liked this episode, please check out some others: Episode 21: Healing Your Trauma & Increasing Emotional Intelligence with Isabella Imani (https://sarahjflynn.com/episode-21-healing-your-trauma-increasing-emotional-intelligence-with-isabella-imani/) Episode 24: Heart Led Success that Blooms from Within with Taylor Lane (https://sarahjflynn.com/episode-24-heart-led-success-that-blooms-from-within-with-taylor-lane/) Episode 18: Prioritising Holistic Health & Nutrition for Soul Purpose Success with Heidi Hauer (https://sarahjflynn.com/episode-18-prioritising-holistic-health-nutrition-for-soul-purpose-success-with-heidi-hauer/) Special Guest: Pippa Leslie.

It’s time we start embracing our monthly bleed and celebrating it for what it is. We are cyclic beings and our bodies go through seasons each month. Harriet Roberts joins me to talk about menstruation and what happens when we embrace our cyclic nature. About Harriet Roberts Harriet Roberts works in the realms of movement, massage, and menstruation. Coming originally from a dance background, her research is body-based, driven by tactility, and a sense of trust in the rhythms that exist beneath us. In the last few years, the undeniable current of the hormonal rhythms has come to be a deep fascination. Upon researching her own menstrual body, she knew that this work was not for her alone, but to share with others. Harriet’s wish is to provide a lost, or at least neglected, education of the body's cyclical rhythm and how we may exist in accordance with it; aligning with our inner and outer spheres, transforming burden to ease, and engaging with creativity at all levels. Her work's focus is to encourage menstrual bodies to embrace their cycle in its entirety and hopefully learn to love their cycling self. About Embracing Your Menstruation & Learning to Love Your Cycling Self Harriet Roberts brings a wealth of knowledge about menstruation and what it means to be a cyclic being, which all of us are. When we start tuning in to our cyclic nature, we become more in tune not just with what our bodies needs, but also the wider world and Universe. Harriet gives some incredible advice for how you can start healing your womb and menstrual cycle. And yes, it can be as simple as starting to track your cycle and journaling about your mood, emotions, and how your body feels on those days. This truly unlocks so much information that you should really find out about your body. It’s not by accident that we’re feeling so disconnected from our menstrual cycles, though. We’ve been brought up in a way that believes our monthly bleeds are shameful and something we should hide. But we talk about why we need to break from this shame and not only embrace our bleed but start to structure our lives around our menstrual cycles. Personally, I spend the first days of my menstrual cycle slowly, spending time connecting with my body. Harriet shares how she likes to have a long shower to cleanse her body externally, symbolising the cleanse her internal body is going through. Please know that if you don’t have the ability to spend the entire day in communion with your body, even your intention is wonderful. Both Harriet and I absolutely agree that we should educate everyone in our lives about our own cycles, including the men. We believe that by opening these conversations, we help men understand a woman’s cyclic nature. And, more than this, it will help to call back innate knowledge that, yes, even men used to know before the patriarchy destroyed and made this knowledge shameful. Finally, Harriet briefly shares what the seasons of our cycle look like. She also explains why it’s important for our health that we treat our bodies in accordance with these cycles. I’d love it if you share this episode, not only with the girlfriends in your life but also your partners. It’s so important that we open this conversation up to men, as well, so that we can approach a more cyclic lifestyle once again. Let me know how this feels to you in the comments, lovely! In This Episode What happens when we tune in to our cyclic nature [13:00] Where to start healing your womb and cycle [17:00] Why women feel so disconnected from their menstrual cycle [19:00] What happens when you structure your life around your menstrual cycle [22:30] Why you should chart your menstrual cycle [28:30] How you might want to spend the first days of your menstrual cycle and bleed [36:30] Why we should educate men about menstruation [42:00] What your cyclic seasons look like [47:00] Quotes “The returning of my menstrual cycle really deepened my connection to other women in my life, children, nurturing, caring, almost like a whole different side of my appeared in the returning of my cycle.” [5:50] “Although we are inconsistent in the sense of a daily practice, we have this inconsistency, we are very predictable when we begin to engage with our cycle.” [31:00] “Planting those really small seeds is actually expanding into the general collective consciousness, expanding into our community, just to open this topic more and more. So that girls that are coming after us, young women who are rising and growing, they won’t have the same experience of us as having to hide and be ashamed.” [43:15] Resources Mentioned Find Harriet Roberts Online (https://www.cyclicbeing.com) Follow Harriet Roberts on Instagram (https://instagram.com/cyclicbeing) Join The Soul Savvy Collective Facebook Group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/soulsavvytribe) Find Sarah Flynn Online (https://sarahjflynn.com/) Follow Sarah Flynn on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/sarahxflynn/) | Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/sarahflynncoaching) | YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1vmQ8rg-xfhHBLvqJ8qzcA) If you liked this episode, please check out some others: Episode 24: Heart Led Success that Blooms from Within with Taylor Lane (https://sarahjflynn.com/episode-24-heart-led-success-that-blooms-from-within-with-taylor-lane/) Episode 21: Healing Your Trauma & Increasing Emotional Intelligence with Isabella Imani (https://sarahjflynn.com/episode-21-healing-your-trauma-increasing-emotional-intelligence-with-isabella-imani/) Episode 18: Prioritising Holistic Health & Nutrition for Soul Purpose Success with Heidi Hauer (https://sarahjflynn.com/episode-18-prioritising-holistic-health-nutrition-for-soul-purpose-success-with-heidi-hauer/) Special Guest: Harriet Roberts.

2021 brings huge shifts to our soul growth and collective consciousness. Are you ready to receive? In this episode, I’m speaking about three big identity shifts and acceptances you need to embrace coming into this new paradigm. About Accelerating your Soul Growth in 2021 Welcome to 2021, Starseeds and Lightworkers. I am so glad to be here in this moment and existence with you. If you’re here listening to this podcast, our paths have crossed for a reason. We are here on this planet at the same time to experience this ascension together. There was a huge shift over Christmas and New Years that started the process of bringing our collective consciousness into a new energy. Being at the forefront of receiving this energy is more involved than just being there. You need to set the intention that you really want to receive this energy upgrade and shift. Your intention is everything. In this episode, I’m speaking about three big shifts you need to embrace in 2021. Gone are the New Year’s Resolutions we never stick to. In fact, our job as Lightworkers is to embrace this new energy shift and help guide this existence into 5d. Part of this is choosing 2021 as the chance at a fresh start as who you want to be and who you want to show up as. You can make this conscious decision and know that you’re fully supported by the Universe and the energies existing in this moment. I also urge you to rise up and see the truth in all situations. This is what I pray for most often, to see and be the truth and my guides always provide clarity. You, too, can see and be the truth in anything you come against in 2021. Yes, I totally understand how it can feel safe to live in the illusion, but when you rise above and experience the truth, you live much more intentionally and in your soul’s purpose. I truly want this for you. Finally, like I mentioned earlier, you have to ask for this soul growth energy upgrade. It will come passively to you, but that means it may not manifest is anything more. To consciously embody this new energy, ask your guides and the Universe to upgrade your energy and connection. You will receive. How was the Christmas and New Years Shift for you? Let me know in the comments, lovely! In This Episode Why intention is everything [4:30] What our job as Lightworkers is in this new energy dimension [5:30] Why 2021 is your chance at a fresh new start as who you want to be [7:30] How to see and be the truth in all situations [12:30] Why we often feel safety in the illusion [14:30] Why you have to ask for this soul growth energy upgrade [19:00] Quotes “What I really want for every single one of you listening is for you to really step into your creative power. Remember that you are the creator of your destiny. You get to accelerate your soul mission. This is a free-will Universe, whatever you decide, declare, and commit to is what you get to experience.” [4:06] “I just want to let you know that the moment you ask for the truth to show itself, it will. Never, ever doubt for a moment. Your guides want you to see the truth. They want to reveal the truth to you. But unless you ask, ‘can they help?’, they can only intervene when you ask for their support.” [15:53] “If one of your core values is impact, what better way to leave your mark and your legacy than by setting and changing the course of what the earth will be like for our future generations. You get to do that by setting the intention to be a receiver, to really harness and anchor in this incoming energy.” [21:41] Resources Mentioned Join The Soul Savvy Collective Facebook Group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/soulsavvytribe) Find Sarah Flynn Online (https://sarahjflynn.com/) Follow Sarah Flynn on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/sarahxflynn/) | Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/sarahflynncoaching) | YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1vmQ8rg-xfhHBLvqJ8qzcA) If you liked this episode, please check out some others: Episode 24: Heart Led Success that Blooms From Within with Taylor Lane (https://sarahjflynn.com/episode-24-heart-led-success-that-blooms-from-within-with-taylor-lane/) Episode 23: Preparing for the Shift to the 5th Dimension (https://sarahjflynn.com/episode-23-preparing-for-the-shift-to-the-5th-dimension/) Episode 22: 5 Insights into Spiritual Entrepreneurship (https://sarahjflynn.com/episode-22-5-insights-into-spiritual-entrepreneurship/)
Stepping into your heart space is the most beautiful way to live and lead your business. Taylor Lane, mentor and Co-Foundress of the Innerbloom Sisterhood, joins me to talk about how she learned to bloom her dreams and success by embracing the element of water and the cyclical nature of seasons. About Taylor Lane Taylor Lane is a mentor for womxn in the areas of life, business, and spirituality. Through one on one mentorship and co-leading & facilitating her online community, Innerbloom Sisterhood, she helps womxn redefine what's possible when they become their truest selves. After answering the soul call to leave her thriving career coaching business, Remote Like Me, Taylor's path became all about Dharma. She enjoys leading folks through the unravelling of ego, to ignite their soul wisdom. Originally from Connecticut, USA, she now resides in Guatemala with her boyfriend and their beloved pets. Taylor's obsessions: Astrology, Coffee, and Sushi! About Heart-Led Success that Blooms from Within Taylor Lane is a coach who leads from her heart and creates a perfect life for herself. She explains how she surrendered to the element of surprise she had within herself and began a soul-led journey that completely redefined who she was as a person and business owner. Taylor explains what happened to her when she began detaching from all the roles and titles she’s played. Her heart began expanding and she started living a life of purpose that was much more independent from any structure she’d previously known. A big thing for Taylor was when she welcomed the fluidity of the water element into her business and started riding the ebbs and flows it brings. An important question to ask yourself is, “are you a magnet for your mission?” Taylor believes that when we’re fulfilling the reason we are on this planet, life and business align to lead us to our highest potential. Something else that changed the way Taylor thrives is that she started living her life and building her business around seasons. We all go through these seasons of who we are and where we should put our focus, how our priorities shift and go through cycles. It’s amazing what can happen when you embrace the seasons of your life. Taylor talks, as well, about why you should always give yourself space as a leader. You need space to grow into the next version of yourself, go through your seasons of change, and step out bloomed into the uplifted you. This space allows you to be a better leader. Finally, Taylor explains why to her, vision boards are a restrictive mode of dreamscaping. While they can be beautiful (and if they work for you, please own your sovereignty and keep doing them), they might also restrict what your full potential is. How connected with Taylor’s beautiful soul message were you? How are you learning to embrace the element of water into your life and business? Let me know in the comments, lovely! In This Episode Why we should always be open to surprising ourselves [5:00] What happens when you detach from the roles you have been playing [13:30] What happens when you welcome the element of water into your business [17:00] How to be a magnet for your mission on earth [20:00] Why you should live your life in seasons [21:00] Why you need to give yourself space to be a better leader [31:00] Why vision boards can be restrictive [34:00] Quotes “Money doesn’t matter. You will have all of the abundances that you are truly worthy of and you know you can call in. With all the faith in the world, I told myself every day that this would pass, I’m doing what I know I should be doing from a soul perspective. So, if right now feels like a drought, it’s because I’m filling my will inside.” [13:05] “Are you a magnet for your mission? Or are you trying to grab from external sources of inspiration to possibly puzzle-piece together a program or your income or the way that you’re going to run your program or show up on your feed? No! Go within and create the strongest magnet for all of the resources, all the clients, all of the daily inspiration that you need to be a productive individual and for all of the ways that will lead you to your dream lifestyle.” [20:37] “What we’ve learned is that when you start relating to and connecting to a theme within you, it starts to evolve. You start to change.” [27:55] Resources Mentioned Get Free Starseed Membership to the Innerbloom Sisterhood (https://innerbloomsisterhood.com) Find Taylor Lane on Instagram (https://instagram.com/taylor.elizabethlane) Join The Soul Savvy Collective Facebook Group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/soulsavvytribe) Find Sarah Flynn Online (https://sarahjflynn.com/) Follow Sarah Flynn on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/sarahxflynn/) | Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/sarahflynncoaching) | YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1vmQ8rg-xfhHBLvqJ8qzcA) If you liked this episode, please check out some others: Episode 22: 5 Insights into Spiritual Entrepreneurship (https://sarahjflynn.com/episode-22-5-insights-into-spiritual-entrepreneurship/) Episode 20: 7 Signs You are Spiritually Awakening (https://sarahjflynn.com/episode-20-7-signs-you-are-spiritually-awakening/) Episode 3: Claiming your Soul Purpose Freedom with Kim Mellor (https://sarahjflynn.com/episode-3-claiming-your-soul-purpose-freedom-with-kim-mellor/) Special Guest: Taylor Lane.
Taylor Lane, Russian River Brewing Company's head lab tech, joins Steve Jaxon and Herlinda Heras on the Brew Ha Ha podcast today. She was in graduate school in Microbiology at Cal Poly Pomona, working as a lab technician and manager and researching her thesis subject of probiotic bacteria, when she found that they had a culinary program. She thought there could be good professional opportunities for her in the brewing field. She worked for Ritual Brewing company while in school and then for Innovation Brew Works, where she set up their entire lab operation. Three years ago the joined Russian River Brewing Company as head lab tech. The lab is at the center of the production process, as Taylor Lane describes it. Day to day, they test the tanks that are in process and perform various analytics. They look for sugar, color, turbidity or haze, or bitterness, all the variables that brewers care about. They check to see that their yeast is healthy and that there is no unwanted or wild yeast getting in. They also are involved in tasting the final product. Herlinda Heras asks Taylor Lane about the big room at RRBC's Windsor location with the cool ship. She describes how surprised some people are about the science required to run a good brewery. Yeast counts and yeast types are important to maintaining a consistent product. Herlinda asks, why is sour beer good for you? It's different in this way. It is first fermented as a normal beer, then another sour yeast is added, with other ingredients, to produce the sour beer. Some of the bacteria in their sour stock are bacteria that are also found in our microbiome. That is a relatively new term for the community of bacteria and viruses that live inside us and on us. Cigarette butts are a stinking, ugly example of many environmental problems we face. They are plastic litters that get flicked away without a second thought, only to end up on the beaches, rivers, sidewalks, and beautiful places that humans tend to spoil. But for Taylor Lane, they offer an opportunity. Lane is picking up these butts and turning them into surfboards. He is using these surfboards to film a documentary and look for answers to the question, what can I do about plastic pollution? Report by Dan Marino. Photo Credit to Taylor Lane and Ben Judkins
