Self-care is something that is talked about pretty consistently but I feel like it's especially important to hear this now. I'm not sure if this will end up airing before the quarantine is over, but self-care is not something that a teacher does well. Teachers are the kinds of people that always put everyone else's needs in front of their own. From my own personal experience.. If a person doesn't have some kind of self-care routine, their body will tell them loud and clear that they need one. When I put my work and my students in front of my own well-being, my body shuts down. Usually, I get sick or I suffer from a migraine for a few days -- either way, it's no fun. What I cover in this Episode:Why Teacher Self-care is ImportantMy experience not prioritizing self-careSelf-Care Tips and tricksShaping Little Minds Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/shapinglittlemindspodcastSPONSOR:  The cart is officially open to Learning Blocks Membership and YOU are getting in at the founders price.
