Like murder and adultery, most of us don't think of ourselves as “thieves.” And yet, we all have ways of taking, withholding, and justifying. We don't just break the commandment, we reinterpret it.Today, as we consider the Eighth Commandment, we ask: When does your heart decide the rules don't apply to you?

Thought to share? Send me a text...Have you ever obeyed God and then quietly wondered if you made the wrong choice? That question can feel scary because you did the “right” thing, you prayed, you tried to follow his lead and the road still got harder. Today we sit in that tension and name what many of us feel: faith can be uncomfortable, lonely, and costly, even when God is the one who led us there. We start with a real story of relocation during COVID, the kind of move that looks fine on paper but shakes up everything that used to feel stable: community, friendships, routines, ministry, even the simple comfort of knowing where you belong. Then we open to Nehemiah 7 and Nehemiah 11, where Jerusalem has rebuilt walls but an empty, underpopulated city. Nehemiah's plan to repopulate the holy city through sacred lots highlights a bigger spiritual truth: God's restoration often moves from external repair to internal surrender. We connect that biblical story to everyday Christian life, where spiritual growth means more than better behavior. It can look like rearranging your schedule to spend time with God, stepping away from relationships that dull your faith, rethinking finances, practicing forgiveness, and choosing words and actions that honor Jesus. If your life looks “rebuilt” but still feels empty, this conversation offers a clear next step: move in, get settled, and put God at the center, not just included.

In this episode of The Interior Lovers, Sam and Naomi dig into copycat colour - that familiar moment when a palette looks beautiful online, but somehow feels wrong once it's in your own home. They explore why colour choices that are lifted directly from Instagram or Pinterest can leave us feeling unsettled, disconnected or even anxious - and why that reaction isn't about “getting it wrong”, but about missing personal and emotional alignment. This conversation goes beyond aesthetics. Sam and Naomi talk about colour as a sensory, emotional experience - shaped by memory, light, risk tolerance and the realities of how we actually live. They unpack why so many people play it safe with colour, how imitation can stall confidence, and what it really means to develop a palette that feels like you. You'll also hear practical guidance on choosing colour more intentionally - from understanding how light transforms shades throughout the day, to using inspiration as a starting point rather than a template. If you've ever copied a colour scheme that looked perfect on screen but never quite settled in real life, this episode will help you understand why - and what to do differently next time.

In today's Self-Healing Insight episode, Brandy Gillmore shares surprising breakthroughs from working with a live volunteer—revealing how emotional patterns that feel normal or even empowering can become linked to physical pain without us ever questioning them. You'll hear how emotions like: Feeling left out Feeling criticized Even feeling rebellious or resistant can subtly reinforce pain in the body—especially when they go unnoticed. In this session, several subtle awareness shifts helped a volunteer begin reducing her pain in real time—and opened the door to understanding why healing can feel confusing, inconsistent, or stalled, even when someone feels like they've done everything right. Do you want to see proof of the power of the mind in a medical journal? Here's a demonstration of Brandy Gillmore working with volunteers under medical equipment, as featured in a medical journal. Today, you are going to hear a deeply candid conversation with Phil Norman, principal of Norman Design Group, to explore the complex, often contradictory realities of luxury residential design. With over 25 years of experience crafting high-end interiors in Southern California, Phil brings both practical wisdom and an unfiltered perspective on the challenges designers face today. And part of exploring these ideas, is a willingness to be open and candid about the challenges as well as the solutions. Designer Resources Pacific Sales Kitchen and Home. Where excellence meets expertise. Design Hardware - A stunning and vast collection of jewelry for the home! - Where service meets excellence TimberTech - Real wood beauty without the upkeep LOME-AI.com, simple, inexpensive, text to video harnessing the power of AI to grow your firm, beautifully. Honesty About Budgets: The Ultimate Luxury Phil dives headfirst into one of the most taboo topics in interior design: the budget. He explains why being forthright—even when the numbers are higher than a client expects—is not just necessary, but an act of professional integrity. He shares strategies for diffusing tension around cost conversations and how client trust is forged in transparency, not fantasy. “People can handle a bigger number. They can't handle being blindsided,” Phil says. “The danger is in pretending it can be done for less.” Educating the Client: Battling Pinterest, Misinformation & HGTV Phil reflects on the modern design client's double-edged sword: unprecedented access to ideas... and a flood of misinformation. Whether it's misconceptions about pricing, timelines, or what's even possible, Phil sees part of his job as "un-educating" clients before re-grounding them in real-world processes. He describes the delicate balance of respecting a client's inspiration while also anchoring expectations in logistical and structural realities. “Everyone's seen a Pinterest kitchen,” he says, “but that doesn't mean it works in their space, or within their scope.” Home as Sanctuary: A Pandemic Shift Phil shares how the pandemic permanently shifted his clients' priorities—from “how it looks” to “how it feels.” There's now an increased desire for tactile comfort, flexibility, and timeless quality. The home is no longer just a showpiece—it's a retreat, a workplace, a classroom, a safe space. He emphasizes the growing importance of durability and livability over trends, noting that luxury now means emotional connection, not just expensive finishes. “Design has to feel like home—not just like a magazine spread.” Kitchen as Mission Control: Designing with Precision Phil also explores how kitchens have evolved into the emotional and operational hubs of the home. With every family interaction, from weekday breakfasts to weekend entertaining, passing through this space, it's no longer just about cabinetry and counters—it's about lifestyle programming. He discusses layout strategies, appliance coordination, lighting zones, and how technology and wellness are being layered into the modern kitchen environment. Design Leadership: Advocacy, Not Subservience Phil argues that successful design professionals must step into the role of advisor and advocate—not order-taker. He calls out the danger of defaulting to client appeasement and encourages designers to protect the integrity of the design process, even if it means challenging a client's assumptions. “We're not there to just say yes. We're there to guide—to lead with experience.” This conversation isn't just about design—it's about leadership, trust, and emotional intelligence in a high-stakes creative business. Whether you're a seasoned designer, a rising star in the field, or simply someone dreaming of building a home that feels like home, Phil Norman offers a masterclass in how to do it right—with candor, clarity, and craft. Thank you, Phil. Amazing.
Arcana Coelestia 7601(2)... when the evil are being vastated, that is, when they are being separated from truths and goods, and are left to their own evils and falsities, they are then vastated in respect to those truths and goods which are in the exterior natural, and which are adjoined there to falsities and evils. That these truths and goods look downward, and therefore cannot be reserved, will be seen below (n. 7604, 7607); but the truths and goods of the interior natural are not vastated, but are brought further inward, and are there reserved for use; and then the communication between the interior natural and the exterior is so far closed that nothing of good and truth can inflow from the interior natural into the exterior natural, except only something general, to enable them to reason, and to string together arguments to confirm falsities and evils. Those goods and truths which are reserved, are signified in the Word by “remains”. Third Round posts are short audio clips taken from Round 3 comments in the online Logopraxis Life Group meetings. The aim is to maintain focus on understanding the Text's application to the inner life while reinforcing key LP principles highlighted in the exchanges.
As a listener of TOE you can get a special 20% off discount to The Economist and all it has to offer! Visit https://www.economist.com/toe In this episode, I speak with Frederic Schuller, an award-winning theoretical physicist and professor, who insists the undergrad tale of energy sloshing between kinetic and potential is just talk unless the math says so. Borrowing Port-Hamiltonian thinking, he's building probability ports to pull measurement talk into actual quantum formalism—no change to QM, just sharper math. He also flips gravity: start from the matter action and construct the compatible gravitational dynamics—Maxwell in, Einstein–Hilbert out. And if nature ever breaks our current causal picture, the scheme points to richer structures (and the gravity to match)—a modest idea, pushed hard. From a young age, food was my escape—a source of comfort and control in a chaotic world. Growing up in public housing, with a dysfunctional family and an alcoholic father, I turned to eating as a way to soothe my emotions, hide, and find peace. But as I got older, food stopped working the way it once did. Fear of judgment and feelings of inadequacy began to weigh on me, affecting my relationships, my work, and my sense of self. Health problems like high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and diabetes loomed over me. Despite my growing fear, my food consumption spiraled out of control. On the brink of losing my job and facing bankruptcy, I hit rock bottom. That's when, in 2014, I discovered Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous (FA). Through FA, I found a lifeline. In less than a year, I went from 316 pounds (143 kg) to 187 pounds (85 kg). But the transformation wasn't just physical—I regained confidence, improved my financial stability, and adopted a healthier, more balanced outlook on life. I cherish a deep sense of gratitude for my recovery, crediting my journey to the support of my Higher Power and the FA program.

To close out the month, we have another fantastic mix from Mark Mimmo. This mix is a pulse-pounding journey through breakbeat and modern electronica. Kicking off the groove with deep pads and vocoded vox sample of “Is It Real” and Mimmo's remix of London Grammar's “Hey Now,” the mix sets a tone. Classics sounds like Raze's “Break for Love” in Mimmo's remix sit perfectly with cutting-edge tracks like GUAU's “Eternity” and Colombo's “Feel Right.” The mix explores many shades of the genre, from the bass-heavy rhythms of Desma's “Around Me” to the experimental flair of Fred Again, Lil Yachty & Overmono's “Stay In It.” Underground gems like Kolter's “That Was Fresh” meet mainstream ender in A$AP Rocky's “Fuckin Problems” as an eclectic and energetic blend. Mimmo's mix is both a homage to breakbeat's roots and a look to its future, offering a masterclass in dynamic, emotive curation. ENJOY! The Conscious Edge Podcast: Redefining Wealth as a Whole Human Experience
Hey there! I'm Alecia St. Germain, founder of The Conscious Edge, and today's episode dives into a topic I believe every entrepreneur faces—feeling stuck. I'm here to help women make money and be successful without burnout and struggle. My frequent co-host Jonathan Dugger and I are all about doing work we love with joy and ease. As much as we embrace joy, we all have times when things aren't clicking. Instead, we hit a point where our progress halts, often due to life's unpredictable circumstances. Today, I'll share a powerful process to overcome those mental roadblocks and get back to moving forward with your goals, even when things feel out of your control. When we talk about creating wealth and building a fulfilling life, it's not just about hitting financial targets. It's about balancing growth with joy, where you're thriving and enjoying the journey, not just grinding it out for a future payoff. But what happens when you hit that wall of doubt, where it feels like something is “off” and you're unsure if your path is right? Know the Difference Between Real Intuition and Mental Blocks One of the first steps is identifying whether you're genuinely picking up on something that needs a change or if it's just a block caused by an unconscious belief. I had the privilege of discussing this with a wonderful client recently. She's a highly successful entrepreneur working on a new revenue stream, but personal challenges kept arising, pulling her focus. It left her feeling uncertain, questioning if this new project was truly right for her. Together, we used a method called Immunity to Change, a process that digs deep into hidden assumptions holding us back. This process helped her realize that her fear of letting others down was triggering that stuck feeling—not an actual problem with her project. You can answer these same questions for yourself if you are feeling stuck or unsure about next steps. Getting Unstuck with Immunity to Change Here's how you can start overcoming your blocks: Visualize Moving Forward: Close your eyes and imagine yourself actively working on the project. Notice any feelings of resistance or where your mind goes blank. These are clues. Ask: What Am I Worried About?: When those blocks appear, ask yourself directly, “What am I worried about if I move forward?” Digging into these feelings often reveals unconscious beliefs, like fears of failure or letting others down. Challenge the Belief: Once you identify a belief (e.g., “If I don't succeed perfectly, I'm a flake”), ask yourself if the evidence supports it. For my client, her track record of reliability showed she was far from a flake. Recognizing this let her confidently plan her next steps, free from doubt. Breaking through these mental barriers is a lifelong skill. Each time you confront a block and move forward, you not only grow but also become more attuned to your intuition. Building this awareness and strength allows us to keep moving toward our visions with peace and resilience.
