I Just wanna Make you Feel Good! 1984 Within This weeks Edition I would like to transport you once again back! within our own Soul-Music time! A space deemed safe for more than just the obvious… As within these celestial confines that reside within our connected inner mind! You will be once again projected towards your once cherished inner memories of where you maybe exorcised your right to project your lust… Ha Lovin towards that chance mutual attraction that you honed into across that Nite-Spot to maybe your melody or at least Do it, to the Music. The tales of how the dance-floors were won back in our day have been depicted many times… Too many times to mention? My fondest encounters have been best depicted Live, Undiluted and Pure! Immortalised through my fusions of individual arrangements amalgamating dance tracks that were never created to be blended! that have now become Law! Master Mixes, I find it very hard to decipher just what Captive state that i reside within, when Beat-Matching is in session. The combination of collective elliments that generate pure Dance energy within the confines of Dancehalls, Harnessing the very Gyro-metic rhythmatic movements of the human body powering a clubs atmosphere like a neutron star, Male & Females Colliding like Ying & Yang in perfect body positivity, Where do you think Work your body come from? The 1970s taunted “The more you want it the More you will get it” Don't believe me! Just ask Teddy P? I felt even more compelled to just play music! I dare to create even more Musicality… Pushing my very own boundaries constantly to deliver the ultimate floor-fillers reimagined My way….Painfully executing sound manipulating Mega-Mixes thus honing my Style of Making Music with Music, Pushing concentration levels to obscene levels…Becoming the band! Becoming My Music, Creating my own real-time own critic longing to further deliver audio Ecstasy… Living to feed The Dance-Floors My way…Soul-Unique, These are some of My Records from 1984 served to you Free-Styled, No Crave or longing for fame! Just a longing the once lived Magical experiences that will forever lie within our rich Historic timeline of serving Club Classic Soul to the World and Beyond,

Listeners, y'all are in for a real treat this week, as we have one of the choicest content-area cognoscenti on the Gulf Coast to talk on a topic that continues to be an increasingly important issue across the industries: hiring and developing your workforce. So, who did our boys Sid and Keith get to come dish on development? Honestly, we all knew there was only one man who could best answer the call - the Prince of Personnel, the Lord of Labor Studies, the Maharajah of Manpower ... it's Dr. Josh Duplantis, the Dean of Workforce Development for the Coastal Alabama Community College System, here to drop knowledge bombs on our boys (though we do somewhat question the mental acuity and judgement of someone who would publicly admit to having Sid as a good friend ... choices). On his house call to the podcast, Dr. Josh and our boys get into the nitty gritty behind what's wrong forthwith in the workforce world and what we would want to do to help our own businesses wind up with a win. Obviously, Dr. Josh and our boys have to talk about the elephant in the room of the world's current business situation - the ongoing workforce shortage - but Dr. J slam dunks the explanation on that in a way everyone can understand (even Keith) - the present problem in procuring people and pathetic participation is predicated on a pair of propositions: the en masse exodus of the Boomer generation from the workforce (Okay, Boomers ... as the kids say ... on the TikTak or the TickyTacky or whatever that video app nonsense is) and the walkout of women in the workforce due to childcare concerns thanks to COVID. And Dr. J has the receipts to back up his assertions - spitting fire facts like there are currently only 65 unemployed people to fill every 100 open jobs currently - you're gonna have shortages, son, when you don't have enough people to replace the ones who just noped out on the job market. Our boys and Dr. J will also get into the nooks and crannies of our culture (and the lazy basement-dwelling, neck-bearded, entitled as hell Millennials still livin' with their mommas), they do also get real and put some perspective on how businesses also need to step their game up when it comes to wages and benefits. And they'll even get into the tall grass and look at seemingly tangential items like the fertility rate and how it could affect our labor futures (And we can tell you why the birth rate stays so low - it's because there hasn't been a truly great baby-making song put out for the populace since the late, great Teddy Pendergrass released "Close the Door" back in 1978. Go listen to it. Tell us we're wrong ... See, Teddy P knows). So, how do we energize the economy and enliven our employees? Well ... you'll have to actually listen to this week's episode to get the best bits of brilliance from the Baron of Blue-Collars and Breadwinners (We knew we had one more in us). Listen up, listen well and listen often - we'll see y'all next week. (And, completely as an aside ... we may have erred in a previous statement. Teddy P did put out "Turn Off the Lights" as a B-side to "If You Know Like I Know" in 1979, and while we cannot currently verify the numbers on it, we do assume a large number of babies may have been made to that song. We appreciate the opportunity to correct our previous statement here and apologize for the error.)

I mean the title says it all... Whether I look at Jay-Z and Dame Dash, NWA and Ice Cube, Nino and G Money, Avon and Stringer, KD and Russell Westbrook, Teddy P and Harold Melvin, or Erick Sermon and Parrish Smith when it comes to unity, I just can't call it. When it comes to unity, leadership and (business) relationships in the Black community I just don't see Black Matriarchy as the sole dividing force. Former ESPN and Fox Sports sports personality Jason Whitlock has recently launched his new Fearless podcast/YouTube channel, and in one of its first episodes he has rushed to the defense of his former colleague Stephen A. Smith during a rough week, tied Smith's "Asian hate" troubles to Maria Taylor's salary demands and reimagined the real point (overbearing black women) of Ryan Coogler's Black Panther. I should've known better, Wakanda never had a shot at FOREVER. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/its-always-personal/support

I want to thank Rontez Miles for calling into my show "Sports and Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max" on WSJU Radio at St. John's University. He talked about growing up in Braddock, Pennsylvania, his love of football at an early age, his time at California University of Pennsylvania, and signing with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent. He talked about what he learned from Rex Ryan, Todd Bowles, and now what he has learned from the current defensive coordinator Gregg Williams. Rontez also told me what the NFL helmets are currently like and being a defensive player in this era of football. His main goal this season is to help the New York Jets end their playoff drought. He is also a Hip-Hop artist that goes by the name of Teddy P. He has a few singles out on all platforms now including F**k Em and Lucky. He has his own record label called BH the label. One artist he has on his label is Banga Cyss, who released a new project recently called The Vibe. The Vibe is available on all platforms as well. We could definitely be hearing a Teddy P, Le'veon Bell, and Josh Bellamy Hip-Hop track in the future! Follow Rontez Miles on Instagram: @teddyp45 and on Twitter: @rontezmiles. This episode I interview Dr. Candace Brown-Evans CEO of Fresh Dentistry by CanDDS in Cedar Hill, Texas. Imagine walking into your local dentist office and feeling the tension release from your shoulders because you can't help but rock from side to side as you hear Teddy P jammin' in the background. While you wait, you grab one of your favorite snacks on the table and turn on the current Netflix series you are working hard to get through before the new season starts. The office feels warm, like being in the living room of one of your friends who is clean...not the friend with the dirty house. Everyone in the office remembers your name and you realize while you used to feel like going to the dentist was a chore, you actually look forwarding to visiting your dentist. That's the experience Dr. Brown-Evans has created for each of her clients and we discuss exactly how she does it in this episode. Brought to you by Stone Hill Wealth Management

FUNKY PEARLS SPECIAL TEDDY PENDERGRASS
Taddy P has emerged as one of the most creative musicians, writers and producers out of Jamaica. His diverse life experiences manifest themselves in his music, which combines roots reggae riddims & a compelling message with bluesy melodies, rock overdubs & a consistent soulful vibe. “He is helping to define a progressive new sound for reggae, a style that incorporates outside influences but maintains an authentic Jamaican foundation.” said Tomas Palermo. Gimme Di Bass, his sophomore album features collaborations with multiple Grammy nominees Maxi Priestand Bunny Rugs of Third World Bandfame as well as the only Diamond awarded dancehall artist & 2 time Reggae Grammy winner Shaggy. He performed in bands from 1991 through to 1996 on the North Coast in Jamaica, in hotels such as Seawind Beach Resort, Hedonism II, Wyndham Rosehall, Sandals Resorts and Swept Away Resort. These performances, set the stage, showcasing Taddy Ps talent that soon caught the ears and eyes of Freddie McGregor, Dennis Brown, Gregory Isaacs, Rita Marley, Tanya Stephens, Shabba Ranks, Yellow Man, Sanchez, and Monifah in international arenas in Japan, Europe, Africa, the United States, Canada and various Caribbean Islands. In 1997, the internationally known artist, Maxi Priest intrigued with Taddy Ps style, contracted him as his personal bass player and from there on their partnership continues until present. With several projects in the works, his first release from his yet unamed collab album is the hard hitting “Heart Of Stone” featuring one of Jamaica's foremost female artistes, Tanya Stephens. Other singles in the works feature artistes such as Dancehall pioneer Red Fox and Marvin Priest, son of Maxi Priest.
