As the group enjoys their first episode without Jax by preparing to celebrating Janet's birthday, Kristen and Nia have a girls trip to a fertility acupuncturist, and Danny drops a bombshell on Luke during their bros babysitting date - one Luke feels compelled to share. Jesse continues to court Kristen by inviting her and Luke over for a tea party where he expresses frustrations about Michelle. Then, drama kicks off at Dave & Busters with the impact of what Danny told Luke finding its way back to the group. A conversation with friend of the pod, and longtime Kyle supporter, Sarah Galli about season highlights, lowlights, and where the show goes from here. From guarded storylines, hypersensitive topics, and untouchable dramas, the reality of this reality show is that it's been lacking for a few seasons. Jax's recent display of irrational anger and violence comes to a head in this episode when his friends and family encourage him to admit himself into a facility. As he's packing to leave, we witness another volatile argument with Brittany when she confronts him about breaking their rule not to have women stay over at their family home. That argument culminates in Brittany calling Jax out for substance abuse and leaving him speechless when she asks if he could pass a drug test. Meanwhile, Jesse and Michelle have a confrontation that ends with her bursting his shiny, new, love bubble. Zach's boyfriend Benji agrees to move in with him for the summer, Kristin tries to get through to Jax about the severity of his situation, and Janet laments her attempt to rebuild a friendship with Kristin. This week brought more headaches for former Fox (Entertainment) "News" host turned Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. Amidst whispers of chaos at the Pentagon, Pete ranted about the media on the White House lawn as attendees enjoyed a holiday dedicated to a risen savior by rolling expensive eggs and learning about corporate sponsorships. As more Federal agencies and jobs are dismantled, a whistleblower submitted a report on DOGE's concerning activity to remove sensitive data. Meanwhile, Harvard became the first major university to refuse to comply with administration demands, setting off a chaotic but amusing game of chicken. Senator Chris Van Hollen of Maryland made good on his promise to go to El Salvador and try to get Kilmar Abrego Garcia out of CECOT, speaking with him under supervision and with shameless efforts to sway the optics of their meeting. The judicial branch is still fighting back, with one judge moving forward to hold the administration in contempt for violating his order, and with the Supreme Court at a crossroads in the hell of their own making. Through it all, RFK Jr. continues to remind people why no one should listen to him - ever. Also, a bunch of women in skin tight bodysuits and glam went high up in the air in a rocket shaped like a penis and got upset when no one thought it was cool. The Season 2 premier starts with an alarming update as viewers are brought into the aftermath of an alarming fight between Jax and Britney, one bad enough to result in everyone encouraging him to seek professional help. Then, we flashback to a week prior and see Britney's efforts to find her own place within the friend group, and the world, independent of Jax. Jesse and Michelle navigate contentious divorce proceedings and co-parenting drama as they both establish new relationships. Kristin and Luke are still focused on starting a family - and standing by Kristin's comments revealing Janet's rumored conversations about Michelle from last season. Now that Janet has had her baby, she wants to mend the issues with Kristin, but still has it out for Zach. Nia and Danny continue to debate where to move and when to have another child, Jasmine and Melissa are getting more serious, and through it all, we're reminded of what it looks like when people actually "mention it all" on a show. The last segment of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Reunion is a meeting that could have been an email. Beyond seeing Garcelle pushed to her limits, the conversations ruminate on mostly tired topics, save for new crumbs of information from Kyle about Mo - per her tried and true formula to dangle the possibility of progress at the very end of a stalemate storyline. Dorit finds joy in exhaustively berating Sutton as Boz chimes in to support her new bestie's endeavors, Erika publicly states that Tom Girardi is incompetent, Sutton can't break free from the trap of seeking clique-acceptance, and the additions of Kathy/Jennifer Tilly continue to provide much needed comedic relief. Despite Garcelle starting the reunion hoping for a cast photo, when the moment comes AFTER the reunion has completed, she opts out and leaves, and no one follows to check on her - until it's too late. The summary of yet another chaotic week kicks off by acknowledging the testimonies of Liz Oyer and Rachel Cohen, both of whom have been mentioned previously for standing up to pressures from the administration in their own ways. From there, we cover the impact of losing CDC and DOJ personnel, Project 2025's warped progress, how more "loyalists" are showing their fealty, the SAVE Act's pink poll tax, and blowback from placing steep tariffs on China. However, most news pales in comparison to the significance of Kilmar Abrego Garcia still not being returned from a maximum security prison for terrorists in El Salvador after being mistakenly sent there - and the added enthusiasm that U.S. citizens deemed "monsters" could be next.Find your representative's contact info at USA.GOVAll opinions are personal and not representative of any outside company, person, or agenda. This pod is an outlet to vent after watching Real Housewives of Atlanta where Brit seemingly faced no network consequences for trying to intimidate and/or threaten a cast member by talking about having a weapon - and then watching a ridiculous ending to a slow paced, multi-season Yellowstone prequel. Kenya absolutely went too far, however it was odd to not see swift action to check a cast member for bringing up weapons at all, and that Kenya's prepared remarks and displays were a complete surprise to producers. Then, I loosely summarize the plot of Yellowstone 1923, a show whose last bundle of episodes were riddled with extreme violence towards its women characters. My rant on the show focuses on writer/creator Taylor Sheridan's choice to continue that trend and end the series with a grand display of senseless loss felt less like an attempt to relay life's harsh realities and more like emphatic overkill. Yellowstone 1923 rant starts at 28:46 and is FULL OF SPOILERSAll opinions are personal and not representative of any outside company, person, or agenda. The whistleblowing book written by former Facebook executive Sarah Wynn-Williams is as explosive and shocking as expected, maybe more so. The author reveals personal stories that shaped her world-view and explains her conviction and hope to use her life to affect positive change. That same hope led her to pursue a career at a social technology company she seemingly envisioned as a champion for humanity. From there, she takes us with her into executive level meetings, haphazard trips abroad, and interactions with various staff that each provide startling enlightenment into the inner workings of a company with access to sensitive information about people around the globe. Due to revelations within this book, U.S. Senators are currently looking into Facebook's alleged collusion with foreign governments. Regardless of its entertainment value, Sarah may have accomplished her goal of affecting positive change. Sutton and Kyle are the main focuses of Part 2 as Dorit laments how each offended her, or let her down, throughout the season, as Erika and/or Boz nod approvingly throughout. After a lengthy and exhaustive back and forth, Kyle finally apologizes for her combative stance about texting PK with a pledge of loyalty. Sutton gets chided by everyone for daring to flex her wealth in the "wallet" comment heard 'round the caviar tasting. Dorit unleashes a self-righteous tirade on Sutton, doling out smugly stated life lessons between low blows. Kathy and Jennifer Tilly join the group and continue to bring a much needed dose of comedy and positivity into an otherwise bleak environment. Andy gets honorable mention for stepping up to call out a few illogical statements, and for pointing out a few obvious arguments against Kyle getting upset with anyone mentioning MORGAN WADE a.k.a. those we now don't speak of.All opinions are personal and not representative of any outside company, person, or agenda. From the nationwide Hands Off Protest, where over 5 million people made their voices heard, to a whiney billionaire realizing the limits of his wealth and influence, and a record-breaking speech before the Senate, this past chaotic week had a silver lining. With a new/old tariff policy in effect, the country is re-learning why taxing our allies and largest import partners alike isn't great for the economy, no matter what an invisible man thinks. Meanwhile, we continue to see libraries, museums, art, government websites, education departments, and public broadcast channels targeted for censorship and revisionist history as U.S. residency and citizenship are marketed Willy Wonka style via a golden ticket. HHS firings, illegal deportations, retaliatory acts, and making sure Mel Gibson is armed are some of the current priorities for a warped administration. The lovely and talented Kiki Monique, a.k.a. @thetalkofshame, joins this pod to discuss Beverly Hills Reunion Part 1 and this week's shocking Atlanta episode that revealed Kenya's motivation to check new cast member, Brit, in a way that led to Kenya being removed from the show. After reviewing an angry, late-night DM incident from Dorit's estranged husband to our fellow creator Emily Hanks, we delve into how misplaced newbie ambitions derailed what was meant to be a top-tier Atlanta cast. Then, we get into the "ordacity" of Erika Girardi coming for Garcelle, Kyle's off-camera life, and the psychology of Sutton. If Part one is any indication, this reunion bundle is going to be painful to watch. The separate factions mentality of the group continues to outshine any other dynamic. The majority take issue with Sutton and Garcelle throughout, labelling them as "mean girls" while lamenting their reign of terror - despite it being a connection forged from being pushed to the outskirts of the group across past seasons. Garcelle is singled out by almost everyone, for any perceived slight or insult, most of which resulted from her bravery in asking real questions on a show where much of the cast would prefer to ignore their issues. After learning that Dorit only came back because Lisa Rinna convinced her, I'm even more sure that the old cliques have to be broken apart in order for BH to regain its status as an exciting franchise. All opinions are personal and not representative of any outside company, person, or agenda. The first installment in the "Low Pressure Book Club Series" is a review of 'Why Does He Do That?' by Lundy Bancroft. Packed with helpful lists of warning signs, debunked excuses, and key signs of abuse, this book was written to provide insight into the minds of men who don't respect their partners. Throughout, I work to explain unacceptable behaviors by comparing them to similar ones displayed by men on Bravo. The author relies on his 30+ years of counseling men to identify contributing factors and presents a path to change that relies solely on the angry man reaching a point where that anger no longer serves him.Unfortunately, this review begins by discussing recently shared allegations by several women that say Lundy weaponized that same extensive counseling experience to prey upon their vulnerabilities. As a result, a book that presents a thesis that abusers are made, not born, now serves as a helpful guide in more ways than its author intended. https://cryingoutforjustice.blog/2025/01/30/lundy-bancroft-is-a-predator/ All opinions are personal and not representative of any outside company, person, or agenda. After an update on more blowback from Boz and Erika's 'Watch What Happens Live' digs at Garcelle's departure, the final moments of the finale are summarized. Mid-recap, I delay this pod by taking a break after hearing Erika still describe Tom as an accomplished lawyer. Then, a review of news from 2024 about Dorit and PK's pre-foreclosure from four months of missed house payments, on top of previously reported tax liens. This extended finale required a two-part recap. We pick up on Sutton's trial at sea and shift into birthday dinner gear for Erika and Dorit. Sutton's delayed appearance, and hesitance to join, is a topic of conversation as Jennifer Tilly tries in vain to help her friend navigate a situation that neither feel like she can win. Garcelle finally approaches Kyle about not sticking up for Sutton, but her choice to teach Sutton a lesson by also not standing up for her on the boat leaves that critique falling flat. Meanwhile, Dorit and Erika continue to be the two off-base friends nodding and telling each other "exactly" as Boz works to connect with Sutton while appearing to lean further and further into clique territory. The purpose of this new spin-off pod is to look back at the week and review the most horrifying and cringe-worthy political moves and blunders from America's Broligarchy era. Much of it is serious but some of it is absolute idiocy, either way, the hope is that you walk away knowing more about current political events after listening. All sources of information are listed on the Patreon. There's never a dull day in the Broligarchy but the past week was one for the history books. Between the move to begin dismantling the Department of Education after selling Tesla's on the White House lawn, to seeing prestigious law firms acquiesce, then hearing about for-profit detention center horror stories, listening to a leaked audio that's allegedly of the VP, and then learning about an unbelievably massive security breach via cell phone, all while a once-bold billionaire does his best Ruprecht character work, it's been a doozy. The trip to Saint Lucia kicks off with a confrontational dinner, followed by a confrontational catamaran ride. The close friendship between Garcelle and Sutton is tested throughout as Garcelle bristles seeing Sutton defend Kyle and ultimately decides to let Sutton stand alone when fielding critiques. As the ladies prepare to leave for a lavish vacation in Saint Lucia, we see Kyle and Dorit finally meet with their party-going separated husbands to discuss delicate matters. Boze has her new man over for dinner with her daughter, Sutton and Garcelle discuss the ongoing rift with Dorit, Erika continues to make off-base comparisons and showcase her rental decor, Kathy shows us she keeps her hair extensions in plastic sandwich bags, Jennifer Tilly calls out the clique-is behavior of the group, and Dorit does the worst Sutton voice I've ever heard. All opinions are personal and not representative of any outside company, person, or agenda. From learning more about promo videos, hype articles, and pettiness, to staying focused about what does and does not matter for trial, this dive addresses an amalgamation of distractions and conundrums. This episode revolves around Sutton and Dorit rehashing their "tete-a-tete" from the 4th of July party. Amidst an event to celebrate expensive potatoes, caftans, and jewels, the women jab, mock, and ridicule one another to the amusement of all attendees. Sutton delves into her baser impulses and coins the moniker "Poorit" as she flexes the hefty girth of her divorce settlement. Was it a horrid, distasteful look? Yes. Was it also accurate and amusing? Yes and yes. The episode ends with a collective gasp as the group sees Mo and a young woman splashed on the tabloid pages. Wading through the last pages of Justin Baldoni's 168-page "Timeline of Relevant Events" that presented new information and perspectives on specific complaints made by Blake Lively. Final receipts via public articles, production emails, and personal texts, supported Justin's claim that Wayfarer and Sony catered to escalating requests and schedule changes solely to keep the peace and ensure Blake would not only finish the film but also promote it. His PDF document ends with new revelations regarding timestamp data, found by TikTok sleuths, that seems to show The New York Times' access to those personal texts, and Blake's complaint, weeks prior to them reaching out to Justin's team for comment. All opinions are personal and not representative of any outside company, person, or agenda. Sutton's trip to Augusta, Georgia to work on her strained relationship with her mother takes center stage in this episode. With Garcelle and Kyle by her side, she braves the trip to her childhood home where her family experienced the loss of her father. Sutton finally confronts her mother, Reba, about their lack of connection and we bear witness to the disappointing dynamic. Back in Beverly Hills, Dorit's upbeat mood about PK/PJ finally calling falls flat when Boze and Erika remind her of the stakes and his likely ulterior motives for smoothing the situation over after riling her up. Sutton's visit home to Georgia with Garcelle and Kyle reminds us about her challenging relationship with her mother, Reba. The final episode of Season 5 for the Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City culminates in a flurry of chaos. Reviewing receipts from Justin Baldoni's lawsuit that allege Blake Lively's goal was always to assert ultimate creative control over his movie, "It Ends With Us". Through text messages, emails, and voice notes, we're presented with a behind the scenes view into the unorthodox power dynamic between director/actress/lead co-stars. Now that Justin Baldoni filed his countersuit against Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Leslie Sloane and her PR firm, I cross referenced his own allegations and explanations against her original complaint to see what claims have and haven't been addressed. While a few things seem to have been negated, the majority remain unanswered or left to interpretation of two differing perceptions. This pod focuses solely on her claim, and his defense, of sexual harassment while working on the movie. Upcoming pods will delve into the accusation that Blake's goal was ultimate creative control of the movie and the rights to its sequel, along with the PR scandal over personal text messages and confidential communications being leaked and allegedly cherry picked for misinterpretation. Let's end a hellish week by recapping Part 1 of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 5 Reunion. The topics hit hard and fast when they start coming but most don't get to a full resolution before things devolve into yelling and nonsense. Still, Andy manages to ask about: if Whitney gets her jewelry from ALIBABAAAHHH, the status of Angie and Lisa in light of the "bad mom" comment, where Bronwyn and Lisa stand considering a startling rumor Lisa mentioned on the Bravo Aftershow, and Heather's new "meaner" side. What better way to decompress from a week of chaos and unrest than to watch a woman with more Birkins than sense dramatically lament a situation she created? How dare people take issue with Kyle seemingly pledging loyalty to a friend's estranged husband? All that while continuing to refer to herself as a "girl's girl" makes for quite the journey into madness. Thankfully, Dorit 2.0 continues to reject BS like last season's shoes, Boze has a beautiful backyard AND Dorit's back, Erika placates both sides while leaning towards her clique roots, and Sutton, Garcelle, and Jennifer Tilly keep themselves sane while bringing us comedic relief. After a measured rant on the tragedy that is the American government catering to the whims of a bug eyed bro with $8M to spend on lobbying to get his way, we recap two episodes of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. In episode six, Dorit confronts Kyle about her innocent meme laden texts with PK, Kyle doubles down on the silliness of her caring after not caring previously and the innocent nature of the texts. Then in episode 7, Kyle reads a text she sent to PK and the ladies realize it's more than memes....meanwhile Garcelle celebrates her beach house and family, Sutton is still on the outs with Dorit and plans a pizza party for Erika, Boze introduces us to her man and weathers surgery, all while the former head of EJ Global works with a celebrity designer to refurnish her casita. Another iconic Real Housewives of Salt Lake City episode that solidifies the sprinter van as THE best of all possible filming locations on any franchise. Nothing brings a divided group together like a common enemy, and that enemy swinging and missing on every excuse, accusation, and attempt to fight back makes for a legendarily cringe experience. Up against a new foe, Meredith is in rare form and slips into paranoia, Heather vacillates between emotional support and lecturing, Lisa feels betrayed, Mary seems satisfied, Bronwyn brings solid one-liners, Angie is the Queen of see-something-say-something and serves as a voice of reason, while Whitney shows compassion despite her anger. The conclusion of Justin Baldoni's jam packed lawsuit against the New York Times that covers a pile of alleged inaccuracies from their article regarding a "smear campaign" against Blake Lively. Full text message exchanges between Justin's team seem to present a different reality from the vindictive scenarios outlined in Blake's complaint. Justin's version tells a story of his small production house being blindsided and strong-armed into submission by a powerful celebrity couple. Justin Baldoni files an 87 page lawsuit against the New York Times, this episode reviews contradictions from statements made in Blake Lively's complaint. His perspective seems to be that she held something over Wayfarer as a bargaining chip of sorts to get her way, and that he and his team agreed to her escalating demands to keep the peace. They appear to frame her allegations as a means to regain positive public image that they state was not damaged by a "smear campaign" but rather her own tone deaf actions during the movie's promotional period. Each of their filings reflect very strong, and very opposing, perspectives. Part 6 covers the first half of his filing, Part 7 covers the rest as well as my summary thoughts after realizing one party is either lying or delusional. All opinions are personal and not representative of any outside company, person, or agenda. The final portion of Blake Lively's complaint filed against Justin Baldoni and Wayfarer for alleged misconduct and a PR smear campaign. Enlightening information is shared via actual text messages that seem to make clear why Justin's messaging and behavior during the launch of the movie was so very different from the rest of the cast. Text messages between his PR and crisis comms team detail the lengths famous people can go to when focused on maintaining or building a positive persona - or working to destroy someone else's. Sharing details and information from the legal complaint filed by Blake Lively's attorneys on Friday December, 20 that alleges rampant inappropriate conduct on the set of It Ends With Us. The complaint shares her perspective as to what life was like during the initial weeks of shooting the film in early May, through when strikes shut down production, and her efforts to improve the work atmosphere before filming resumed in early 2024. The list of allegations spans repeatedly making comments about women's bodies, mentioning porn, asking lewd questions, a lack of boundaries, and a seemingly unprofessional production team. Dorit's DGAF season continues to give and give as the episode shows us various topics, from Sutton supporting Garcelle's move into her renovated beach house, Jennifer Tilly's Bel Air real estate collection, Boze's travels, Kyle's self love, and Erika's affinity for pizza and delusion - yet none are as entertaining as watching Dorit pop off on a smug Camille. That moment comes during a western fetish party Kyle throws, complete with mechanical bull, tattoo station, errant saddles, and wagon wheel decor. Sutton's attempts to lead the charge into a sorority atmosphere once again fall flat and lead to a cinematic masterpiece of mockery and contempt that results in Dorit snapping and not holding back, however much Erika tries to rein her in.
