This week on the show, Maine and Corey recap Nick Rodriguez versus Michael Pixley that took place on the Fight Pass Invitational 8 as the main event. We also recap the rest of the card, and recap Pit Submission 8.In the news section we talk about Kody Steele on Dana Whites Contender Series and him winning a UFC contract this week.In the recap section of the show, we break down all of the main card matchups on the Fight Pass Invitational 8 and talk about the headline main event between Nick Rodriguez, and Michael Pixley. We discussed Pixley's strategy during the match and the negatives that he received during the match. We talked about how Rodriguez's was able to leverage his speed and wrestling game, to get Pixley down in both the regulation and overtime. In the overtime we broke down the finishing takedown and Rodriguez's passing and back taking finishing with the RNC.In the recapo of the Co-Main Event we talk about the rubber match and rematch between Renato Canuto vs PJ Barch. We discuss Canutos pace vs barch and his flying scissor leg takedown to the heel hook that won him the match. In Andy Varela vs Dante Leon we discuss the penalty that Andy received for striking and how Dante was able to counter the blast double to finish as arm in guillotine. In Gabriel Sousa vs Josh Cisneros we talked about Cisneros leveraging his game but giving up 2 points in overtime and being unable to come back leading to Sousa winning on points.We also discuss Raquel Canuto vs Gabrielle McComb, with Raquel putting on her best preformance in a long time submitting McComb. In the recap section of the show we kicked it off discussing Buchecha heel hook victory in 64 seconds off of a double leg in his 4th One FC fight. Then we recapped Tommy Langakker Vs Renato Canuto in a rematch of a 2018 match. We talked about the One FC scoring system including the rules against stalling and the fantastic pace this match was contested at, that saw Renato take off early but ended with Tommy attacking from the back and attacking with a head and arm choke from the top late in the match to take the decision win and a 50K prize. In the recap of Fight to Win 209 we talked about the main event between Keith Krikorian vs Josh Cisneros, in a rematch of ADCC west coast Trials, we discussed the no arm triangle attempts from Keioth and the passing, top pressure, and triangle attempt from Joshj that allowed him to retain his Fight 2 Win lightweight title. At -77 kg We talked about Japanese Prospect Kenta Iwamoto dynamic wrestling takedowns both early and late in the match vs Siraj Soufi, Plus some of the adjustments he was able to make during a single leg restart that led him to scoring late in the match in securing his slot in the world championships.In the under 66 kg discussion we discussed a leglock filled teammate battle in the finals between Jeremy Skinner and David Stoilescu, That saw both series of attacks negated and ended in the only submission of the finals that saw Jeremy Skinner finish a very interesting kneebar over David early in the overtime. This week on the Grappling Rewind Maine and Emil Break down the Main and Co-Main event for Fight to Win 139 and 140 that took place this weekend in Dallas Texas. Headlined by Roberto Cyborg Abreu vs Vinicius Trator Ferreira, and Osvaldo "Queixinho" Moizinho vs AJ Agazarm, with matchups between Johnny Tama and Ethan Crelinsten, and Gabriel Almeida vs Roberto Jimenez in the Co-Main slots this weekend. In the news section of the show we talk about the brackets for Third Coast Grappling being released for the first 3CG Kumite. We talk about BJJ and MMA retirements and un-retirements, the new things on the Grappling Rewind website including articles, an updated event list, and more. We also talk about BJJ EBI OT Only event that Eddie Bravo has announced grapplers for and dates. In the recap section of the show we break down Cyborg vs Trator and how Cyborgs great top game and conjunction with his body lock passing and pressure lead to his victory at F2W 139. In the Co-Main we break down the stellar match between Johnny Tama and Ethan Crelinsten that showed so many layers to the leg lock game as well as the rare third layer of knowledgeable counter submission after defense. We talk about some of the most interesting entries we saw and how impressed we were with both grapplers leg locks and pacing throughout the match.
