Prime energy drinks contain 597 milligrams of caffeine per litre, while the legal limit is 320 milligrams of caffeine per litre. Some retailers were selling the drink until they were issued with warnings of prosecution and fines of up to $100,000 for selling the drink. I'm not sure whether you've ever tried Improv before. But today's guest shares what are probably some of life's greatest lessons she learnt from the improv stage - say yes, figure it out along the way, and the art of working with others - all in the name of chasing the laughs. I'm Ali Hill and welcome to Stand Out Life a podcast dedicated to living boldly amongst the busyness. Comedian Cal Wilson came across the Tasman from Christchurch in 2003 and has gone on to become one of our most popular comedians. Her work has seen her on our fav TV shows such as Spicks and Specks, Good News Week, Thank God You're Here, and more recently Would I Lie To You? Have You Been Paying Attention? and Hughesy We Have a Problem. Despite an aversion to the great outdoors, Cal bravely joined the cast of I'm A Celebrity,,,Get Me Out Of Here! in 2022 which saw her take on all the usual hair-raising challenges and biblical amount of bugs the series has to offer. Unprecedented times called for unprecedented adventures and at the very least some good material. A gifted storyteller & writer, Cal was invited to join the writing team for the 2022 BAFTA Awards ceremony Cal continues her national touring and is returning for her 8th year as the Melbourne live show host of the worldwide smash-hit storytelling podcast The Moth. You can see Cal perform her brand new show I've Gone To A Lot Of Trouble at the Melbourne Comedy Festival in 2022, and then taking this show on the road to Brisbane. Filled with insights around kindness, generosity, saying yes this is a conversation you'll enjoy. Let's get our workout on with our very own personal trainer, Ali Hill! Ali has been in the fitness industry for more than a decade and this week on "Broadcast His Love" she shares 1 Corinthians 10:31 "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."Ali tells us it's important to not try to be perfect or be the best at working out but instead to focus on being intentional about being active and eating healthy. She says she started working in the fitness industry by teaching Zumba classes. She said, "It was so fun, we would be so sweaty doing those dances. It was a really fun time."Ali grew up in Ashville, North Carolina, and says her childhood home was pretty active. "We valued fitness, sports, and exercise daily. So I grew up doing that every day and seeing my parents exercise every day. I just really liked it (exercise).", said Hill. However, fitness hasn't always been easy for Ali. She tells us she used to idolize how she wanted to look. "I think it really started to shift with I was pregnant with my twins. I couldn't work out." She said it was then that she needed to understand from God's word what her best self was supposed to look like. She shares the Philippians 3:20-21 which reads, "But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself." Hill also shares with us what she has learned what she should be striving for and it's not what most people think. "It may not be the Instagram body that a lot of us picture. It is going to be a body that can move, that can walk, that can run, that can lift things without hurting themselves and run with our kids without getting out of breath and a body that feels good because we didn't eat a whole pizza." Don't you love Ali!? She knows from experience how hard it is to maintain a healthy body and she is working hard daily to be a great example of that. Thankfully we can follow her health journey and be encouraged by our sister in Christ! You can follow Ali on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/achillfitlife/And as she mentioned in the podcast, here is her phone number and email:(828)279-6266 and achillfitlife@gmail.comHere is her FREE workout video! https://youtu.be/VhY9J-tb2jU

My guest today is Ali Hill. She’s the CEO of Australian Financial Review Fast 100 company Pragmatic Thinking, she’s a psychologist and a best-selling author of the book “Stand Out: A real world guide to get clear, find purpose and become the boss of busy”. Seems like a pretty good idea, right? Her podcast is called “Stand Out life” and can be heard wherever podcasts are - probably the same place you hear this one. She’s got a lot to say about psychology and the role of psychology in negotiation in the workplace, care at work and how to manage stresses that come with a modern life - but you’ll hear all of that in the next hour. You can find her on IG at @alihillHope you enjoy this chat with Ali Hill. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
Australia’s coolest psychologist, Ali Hill is a CEO, sought-after speaker, author, podcaster, mum of 2 and runner. Perhaps it’s no wonder that after being overcome by a tremendous sense of overwhelm 2 years ago, that Ali (as a ‘head mechanic’ to use her words) went on a quest to understand society’s obsession with ‘busy’ and how to live a life filled with meaning, even amongst the busyness. That quest resulted in Ali not only making changes in her own work and life but also writing a fantastic book called ‘Stand Out: A Real World Guide to Get Clear, Find Purpose & Become the Boss of Busy’ and launching one of my favourite podcasts, Stand Out Life. In this conversation, we discuss where her interest in behavioural science and psychology originated from, the fear of failure, how to live a life filled with meaning (even amongst the ‘busy’) and her experience running the 22km race at Ultra Trail Australia this year. Plus, I turn the tables and ask whether a psychologist -- with all the tools, knowledge and insight she has -- can still experience the Imposter Complex.
