Superhero here....superhero there....They're everywhere but now James Gunn has given us his first look at a superhero show with his "unique" brand of comedy. Peacemaker is a spin-off from Gunn's 2021 movie "The Suicide Squad" played by John Cena and stars Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo, Freddie Stroma as Vigilante... I mean, Adrian Chase, Jennifer Holland as Agent Harcourt and Steve Agee as John Economos aka "dye beard" and Robert Patrick as Auggie Smith aka White Dragon aka Peacemakers dad. We pretty much love everything about this show and we highly recommend it. Finally, we watch the new Ghostbusters: Afterlife and even though I have a few issues with the story and how they handled the extra characters, it was still a great movie that made us laugh and smile all through out. Written and Directed by Jason Reitman and staring McKenna Grace as Phoebe, Finn Wolfhard as Trevor, Paul Rudd as Grooberson and Carrie Coon as Callie. So join us once more as we watch and talk about Peacemaker and Ghostbusters: Afterlife --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/welcometothenightside/message

Comedians everywhere are trying to figure out the next thing after live shows. Award winning and amazingly funny Auggie Smith has started a nightly video blog on his Facebook page, musing about these bizarre times and having everyone join him in testing the limits of their physical strength by doing as many push ups as they can muster. As with everything Auggie does, he's hilarious and relevant. Check out his Facebook page every night at 9:00 and join in the chat with all his friends. It's addictive.

He got up early to call us and be angry! We love him!
I recently had a great conversation with Auggie Smith who is one of the producers of Montana's Big Sky Comedy Festival, a touring headliner, and the only person to win both the Seattle AND San Francisco International Comedy Festivals in the same year. In this episode, Auggie talks about what it's like being a headliner, gives some tips on getting into competitions, shares his perspective on comedy today, talks about how Big Sky works and much more! Enjoy!
I insisted he do this. This one, by the way, NSFW. Auggie Smith @auggiesmith has the BEST road stories and this is me convincing him to tell some of them. On the grounds that the people he spoke of were dead. He’s got even better stories of comics who are still alive. This is awesome. Enjoy. AD: for 50% off your subscription! I have known our guest this week for many years. Going back to his first appearance on The Bob & Tom Show and then again on the road with The Bob & Tom Comedy Tour. Auggie Smith has changed a lot. The man who exposed me to the wonders of a good chocolate martini and could party until it was time to catch a plane in the morning is now all grown up. He is the proud father of two lovely children and the husband of one. His comedy has grown up too. He now thinks about his audience and the time and trouble it took them to get to a show, not about himself. Thus making for a more entertaining experience. Auggie grew up with a single mom in Billings Montana. He excelled at speech and public speaking and had a teacher who suggested standup. His career really took off after moving to Portland Oregon and after doing The Bob & Tom Show. We will learn about those early days and how comedy has played a major role in his life on and off the stage. I love the last line of my notes from this interview: The Story of Auggie Smith: The Bob & Tom Show, Being Positive, Most of Life is Good and Kindness! Pretty much sums it up! Have fun!
