Despite not disrupting the event in any way save for the holding of banners and signs, they were escorted away by Guam Police SWAT officers. This February 2023 episode of Fanachu features the voices of some of those protestors who were representing the group Prutehi Litekyan (now Prutehi Guåhan), discussing what motivated themselves to demonstrate that day, especially the consequences and costs of the US military buildup that the local government and media weren't adequately discussing. As of 2025, Camp Blaz has been reopened, but the protests continue. This episode features as guests Monaeka Flores, Paige Aguon, Ally Sablan and Daesha Ojeda. Blaz graduated from the US Military Academy at West Point in 2012 and finished Ranger School a year later. After leaving the military he became a production manager of a whole plant, leading 120 associates producing overvoltage protection. He then continued his journey as an IT consultant and Project manager. After taking a career break, he became the Head of Operations in Slovenia for a food delivery company, setting up operations from scratch and enabling a fast growth of 49x within 3 months. 6 months later he became the Regional Operations Director of 8 countries. He took a short break before becoming the Chief of Staff for a Career Coaching company. Now he is a Leadership coach.
