Bolly played football when he was in Lagos and then moved to England for an undergraduate degree in Marketing and also tried out for Leicester City Football Club. He told us his favourite Game of Thrones character was 'The Hound' and we recommended he start watching Vikings. He aspires to get into Film distribution as he has vast experience in Acting, Production and making advertisements. In 2008 Gus was awarded for the best show on pay TV and followed this up claiming best on-air newcomer in 2010 at the Australian commercial radio awards. Gus regularly features on the Today show and Sports Sunday on channel 9 and admittedly has faced his own struggles with his weight and is a strong advocate for mental fitness and developing emotional resilience. After a close friend took his own life, Gus has continued to leverage his image, identity and influence to promote mental wellbeing through the Gotcha4Life foundation which he founded in 2017. Today the foundation leads charity events, sells merchandise and offers programs led by expert facilitators such as Tomorrow Man and Weave Kids targeting high risk populations like indigenous communities. Gus emphasises the importance of not only generating conversation around mental health, but why we need to take action.
