Intro: Minutes 0 to 5:45 I’m watching a new show with my son, The Boys on Amazon, and it’s incredible. Both Chandra and I watched and loved both seasons of What We Do in the Shadows on Hulu. We discuss minor plot details that I don’t think will ruin your experience, but you may want to skip that part. That’s from minutes 2 to 5. Discover Ad: Minutes 5:45 to 6:15 Discover helped me rebuild my credit after I was the victim of identity theft. We both use and trust Discover. If you sign up through our link at Celebitchy.com/Discover you can get a $50 credit when you make a purchase within the first three months. Royals: Minutes 6:15 to 22:10 We saw Duchess Meghan’s speech at the UN Foundation’s Girl Up virtual conference. Meghan looked super glam and possibly pregnant. We don’t think there’s anything wrong with this speculation as long we keep the conversation light and positive.   Meghan’s speech was so impressive and well-written. I especially liked her line that the status quo “will pull tightest right before snapping.” It’s clear that these are her own words and ideas because she gives speeches with such conviction. Minute 13:00: While Meghan has an unaccented voice, Kate’s accent seems to take a lot of effort, which can trip her up.  We saw her BBC interview where she was helping launching their Tiny Happy People initiative. This was clearly scripted as it had some unnatural phrases like “it’s gold dust really.”  Minute 17:00: We got another story, in Grazia, about how hard Kate is working. This is a repackaging of the Tatler and People stories about how Kate is supposedly resilient and loves to be busy. Minute 20:15: The Times of London did an analysis of data on charities with royal patrons. They found that charities receive no benefit from having a royal patron. Chandra thinks the Cambridges are skewing the data and that Charles doesn’t get enough credit for The Prince’s Trust. Will and Jada Pinkett Smith: Minutes 22:10 to 29:15 Will and Jada did their Red Table Talk where they addressed Jada’s “entanglement” with August Alsina, who is twenty years younger than her. Chandra thinks Jada is the one who screwed up their marriage while I think Will has his own sidepieces and is just mad that this story got out. I play a segment from our Zoom meeting where we talked about this.  Blind Item about two celebrity couples: Minutes 29:15 to 33:30 Last week we talked about the male actor whom his female costars find creepy. This week journalist Charles Ray Hamilton tweeted that two white celebrity couples have divorced this year because of differences over Black Lives Matter.  User Feedback: Minute 33:30 to 38 I play a segment from my Zoom meeting where Rhiannon is disappointed that we continue to smear Ben Affleck. A bunch of us mock Chandra for her love of Diplo. Chandra’s mom asked her if she knew Diplo and told her she thinks Diplo is hot! Chandra has never told her mom that she loves Diplo though. Comments of the Week: Minutes 38:00 to 42 My comment of the week is from Florence on the post about royal patrons being useless. Chandra’s comments of the week are from Case and Lumiere on the post where Florence Pugh defended her relationship with Zach Braff yet again. Thanks for listening bitches! Intro: Minutes 0 to 4:30 We have a new writer, Tanisha, whom you heard on the last podcast! She writes as Oya and runs the Aha Experience Podcast.  Our first commercial: Minutes 4:30 to 6:15 Both of us are Discover card users, Chandra got me to sign up for one years ago, and I came up with this idea for a commercial. Discover helped me rebuild my credit after I was the victim of identity theft. If you sign up for a Discover card at Celebitchy.com/discover you can get a $50 credit if you make a purchase within the first three months. Royals: Minutes 6:15 to 25 Meghan and Harry talked to young leaders about Black Lives Matter as part of their work with the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust. Harry acknowledged the most basic truths about systemic racism, that white people benefit from it and that The Commonwealth needs to acknowledge the past. The reaction to Harry’s comments was ridiculous. He was criticized by several British outlet for daring to address systemic racism. Minute 14:15: There were several stories embiggening Kate as usual. We also got a rehash of the story we’ve heard so many times that Meghan made one of Kate’s staffers cry, years ago, for telling her to do her job. Minute 16:30: Meghan’s legal team filed an injunction against the Daily Mail in her lawsuit against them. This was to keep the DM from publishing the names of her five friends who spoke to People Magazine on her behalf last year. Minute 22:15: Ghislaine Maxwell, Prince Andrew’s good buddy and Jeffrey Epstein’s co-conspirator in human trafficking, is in custody and is currently in a detention center in Brooklyn, where she’s on suicide watch. Everyone is wondering what kind of dirt she has on Andrew and if she’ll flip on him. Chris Evans and Lily James: Minutes 25:00 to 28 Chris Evans, 39, and Lily James, 31, were spotted out together in London, where they went to a club. There are a lot of questions over when Chris arrived in London and whether or not he quarantined. There’s some speculation that they’ve been happening for a while. After that they were seen eating ice cream together at a park, in photos which were definitely staged. Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas: Minutes 28:00 to 32:30 Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas got a writeup in the Washington Post’s pop culture section calling them “pandemics only tabloid celebrities.” They haven’t done a pap stroll together since that article came out. We wonder why Ana is so googoo-eyed over Ben and this is where our talk gets explicit! Blind Item: Minutes 32:30 to 36:45 Journalist Yashar Ali tweeted a blind item about a male celebrity whom most of his female co-stars find gross. He said in follow-up tweets that the person is in their 40s and it’s not Leonardo DiCaprio. We also heard that the person has the same number of letters in their first and last name. User Feedback: Minutes 36:45 to 37:30 Thanks to Sportlady20 and Little Penguin for your nice comments! Comments of the Week: Minutes 37:30 to 41:15 My comment of the week is from Belli on the stupid word salad letter that JK Rowling and other authors signed saying they didn’t want to be canceled for being assholes. Chandra’s comment of the week is from Florence, who wrote lyrics to a Killers song about Kate coming out of her shell. Thanks for listening bitches!

Intro: Minutes 0 to 5 My skydive was canceled due to weather and Chandra thinks I should not reschedule it. I’m watching two sweet dogs and can’t reschedule it for a while anyway. Chandra talks about how much work two cats are compared to just one. Also people were in a bad mood this week. Royals: Minutes 5 to 9:45 Harry is joining a lawsuit against the British tabloids for the hacking scandal. Not much is known about that. Kate made a couple of appearances and she looked really lovely, her style is improving. It’s unclear what she’s doing exactly other than attending meetings. Kate is hyping the Early Years program but the details are very vague. I make the point that attending meetings can be a lot of work in itself and she deserves some credit for that. Hot mayor of Minneapolis: Minutes 9:45 to 13:30 The mayor of Minneapolis, Jacob Frey, told Donald Trump he would have to prepay to hold one of his Nazi rallies there. Trump is known for making cities foot the bill and eat this cost. Trump tweeted at Frey and he handled it like a boss! Chandra and I talk about how gorgeous and woke mayor Frey is and she recommends that I creep his Instagram.   Angelina Jolie: Minutes 13:30 to 16:30 Angelina Jolie has been looking gorgeous at the many premieres and photocalls for Maleficent. She also gets along great with her costars Elle Fanning and Michelle Pfeiffer, who are also bringing the looks to the red carpet. Angelina has been opening up more about what she went through in her marriage and during her separation, and it sounds like she’s on the other side of that now. (Note: I was referring to Angelina’s look in Beverly Hills and Chandra was referring to her look in Rome! I was confused about that. She looked gorgeous both place.) Wag Fight: Minutes 16:30 to 19 Coleen Rooney is married to British footballer Wayne Rooney. She noticed that details from her life posted to her private Instagram were being published by The Sun. Colleen set up a sting and busted and named fellow wag Rebekah Vardy as the leaker. Rebekah acted all indignant and said it must have been her assistant who sold the stories, not her. We find this story hilarious! Mindy Kaling: Minutes 19 to 22 Mindy Kaling told Elle that she felt targeted and marginalized by the Television Academy, which told her to provide letters and proof that she was a producer on The Office in order to be eligible for an Emmy. Instead of acknowledging her experience, the Television Academy said this was a common practice and acted like it was no big deal. This happens often to women and POC. I talk about Mindy’s recent Instagram post from inside her closet. Chandra mentions Mindy’s Architectural Digest spread, which you can see here.   User Questions: Minutes 22 to 26 Jessica left a voicemail asking us how we got into online gossip. I first made an entertainment-related site a few days after Princess Diana’s death and it got shown on MSNBC. We talk about what a global star she was. I mention the Instagram account Lady Di Revenge Looks. Chandra has always loved gossip and read People and Vanity Fair when she was in high school. She got into online gossip when Paris, Lindsay and Britney were hanging out together and flashing the paparazzi. That was around the time I started Celebitchy and I remember that era so well! I had to delete so many of those posts. Comments of the Week: Minutes 26 to 31 My comment of the week is from Krakken on the post about Elizabeth Warren being a cougar. Chandra’s comment of the week is from Mtec on the post about what Kate might do with her big initiative eventually. Thanks for listening bitches! You can contact us at 434-218-3219

Intro: Minutes 0 to 8 I’ve been watching the new season of The Great British Baking Show with my mom, which Chandra loves too. Chandra is watching the docuseries Country Music on PBS by Ken Burns. We talk about Johnny Cash being a huge celebrity and friends with Bob Dylan and what a great show this is. We’re both hopeful after news of an impeachment inquiry, which is putting Chandra in a good mood. I don’t think he’ll be impeached but that it might mean we’re spared four more years. Emmys: Minutes 8 to 11:30 I have trouble falling asleep after big awards ceremonies. Chandra can fall asleep without a problem except on Oscars night. Big winners at the Emmys this year were Fleabag, which Hecate watched but didn’t love, Chernobyl and Game of Thrones. I watched Chernobyl and wish some of the actors would have won instead of the writers. Chandra avoided it because of what a downer it was. Game of Thrones won because it was their last season. Peter Dinklage won despite his character’s lousy story arc. Royals: Minutes 11:30 to 23 We got to see Baby Archie who is huge and looks “scooped out of his daddy’s ass,” as Chandra puts it. Archie is adorable and looks like he’s got a lot of personality. Meghan has been wearing simple, uncontroversial outfits on this African tour. I’ve liked her looks and think she’s trying to keep the focus on her visits. Chandra wishes Meghan hadn’t repeated so many looks from her last tour, especially since she wore a $13,000 dress to a wedding in Rome. She talks about the controversy over Meghan’s hair being half covered, but still hanging out during her visit to a mosque. I thought that was deliberate so she wasn’t criticized for trying too hard. Neither of us liked her dress at that visit, which was baggy and olive-colored. We both liked her black Everlane jumpsuit and her Martin Grant maxi dress. Minute 18: Princess Beatrice got engaged to a guy named Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi . Her ring is pretty but understated. It’s a similar design to Meghan’s ring. We agree that it’s not worth the £300,000 that The Sun says it’s worth. Chandra wonders how much of a blue blood Edoardo is and calls him “trash adjacent,” which is definitely true now. Demi Moore: Minutes 23 to 28 Demi Moore said in her new book that she had threesomes with Ashton Kutcher, that they left her feeling ashamed, and that Ashton Kutcher cheated on her during their marriage. We’ve know Ashton is a cheater for years because two different mistresses came out, on the record, to gossip outlets at the time. Chandra reminded me of that time that Scott Eastwood said his girlfriend cheated on him with Ashton, when Ashton was married. Ashton’s response to Demi’s book was petty and lame but we had to logout of Twitter to see it because he blocked both of us years ago. Chandra talks about her tweet on Emmy’s night calling out Tim Allen for being a Maga, which went viral and drew the attention of the Maga loonies. By saying Ashton is an a-hole we’re not saying Demi is a saint. Brad Pitt: Minutes 28 to 31 Brad Pitt is covering US Magazine with the news that he has a new girlfriend, a 50-year-old jewelry designer and holistic healer named Sat Hari Khalsa. We think it’s cool that she’s age-appropriate for Brad, who is 55. Chandra mentioned the news that Sat Hari was allegedly a sober companion to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, which may explain how she met Brad. I found the website for her jewelry line and the pieces are Indian-influenced and crazy expensive. I ask Chandra if Brad is both leaking the news that he’s with this woman and then denying it. She said she thinks that’s the case, because he did that with Neri Oxman. User Questions: Minutes 31 to 34:30 Maggie asked us in a text if we have any LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian news which didn’t make the site. They did contact us and I got a lawyer involved as I explain. My decision about that matter was based on LeAnn naming Celebitchy in a lawsuit against another blogger who had recorded a phone call with LeAnn and posted it. That lawsuit was dismissed. We haven’t heard about LeAnn in a while but assume that Eddie is cheating on her because that’s who he is. I thank LaUnica Angelina and Lila who both gave us nice feedback! Comments of the Week: Minutes 34:30 to 38 My comments of the week are from Luna and Original LaLa about Hillary Clinton’s awesome new look and the impeachment party dress code. Chandra’s comments of the week are from Jenns and Diana on the post about Jennifer Lopez’s shady 1998 interview. Thanks for listening bitches! Our number to text or leave a message is 434-218-3219.

Intro: Last week was awesome: Minutes 0 to 5:30 Last week’s episode, #24, was our favorite so far! Check it out if you haven’t yet. Chandra’s mom is doing better and is in physical therapy. Chandra got a haircut that’s too short and which reminds her of Christine Baranski’s hair. We discuss our relationships with hairdressers and how you have to tread lightly if you have long term stylists. Both of us dye our hair at home now. You can listen below! White supremacists and the Dayton and El Paso shootings: Minutes 5:30 to 15 We talk about the terrorist attacks in Dayton and El Paso, and how upsetting it is. Chandra and I don’t watch the news anymore and get most of our news online. I am thinking about moving to Canada if Trump wins reelection. Chandra says that the cruelty is the point. Rosanna Arquette tweeted about how she’s sorry she was born white and privileged. Chandra is biracial and says she’d probably be a Becky if she was white. I mention that I have been a Becky and that it took me a while to recognize that. We talk about listening to communities of color. Beto O’Rourke and other politicians are finally calling Trump out for inciting terrorism while the media is not doing their job. Prince Harry got criticized for getting a pedicure: Minutes 15 to 18 The Sun ran a hit piece on Prince Harry for getting massages and pedicures as a roundabout way to call him henpecked. We talk about pedicures and how both of us hate getting our feet touched. We miss Meghan and there wasn’t a lot of royal news this week. Taylor Swift covers the September issue of Vogue: Minutes 18 to 22:30 Taylor Swift is covering the September issue of Vogue in an 80s jacket with 70s Farrah Fawcett hair. Her interview is a mixed bag as we’ve come to expect from Taylor. The answers were extremely well planned and much of the interview was good and interesting. However Taylor is still playing the victim and not taking responsibility for her part in feuds with Kim and Kanye and Katy Perry. We conclude that Taylor is not canceled but that she’s still a self-obsessed snake. Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend, Travis Scott, filled her foyer with rose petals: Minutes 22:30 to 25 We talk about what a waste is was for Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend, Travis Scott, to fill the foyer of her home with rose petals. I wonder if he did something that he’s trying to make up for. Travis has been rumored to be cheating on Kylie, but we don’t know much about that because Kylie doesn’t air their business, like Khloe does. I tried the pumpkin pit Kat Kats: Minutes 25 to 30 The pumpkin pit Kit Kats were so much worse than I expected! It tasted like a Yankee Candle and just one Kit Kit mini coated my tongue and made me gag for about a half an hour. I got my spin instructor to try one and she only ate half of it and gagged. I admit that I like candy corn. I told another spin instructor that I run Celebitchy and she said she reads us! Chandra once saw someone reading us on her phone. We are usually very vague about what we do for a living. User Question: Which one of us is good at blind items?: Minutes 30 to 32 We got asked by Paula on Twitter which one of us was good at blind items. Both of us are bad at guessing blind items and we don’t trust blind item sites. We do trust Lainey and other insider-type sites which don’t run blind items all the times. Comments of The Week: Minutes 32 to 34:30 My comment of the week is by LilHarriet on the Instagram post about James Middleton finding it easier to talk to his dogs. Chandra’s comment of the week is by BayTampaBay on the story about the Turnip Toff’s code of omerta. We’re on iHeartRadio now if you’d like to check us out there! Note that there are minor issues with thudding noises with my mic this episode. I’m very sorry about that. I tried to take them out where possible, and have ordered a special filter for my microphone so hopefully this won’t happen again. Music credit: Meydan, AA Alto and via Premium Beat

Constance Wu: Minutes 5:30 to 16 We cover Constance Wu’s arguably ungrateful reaction on social media to Fresh Off The Boat’s renewal and how her non-apology made it worse. Gemma Chan liked a tweet stating that coworkers know this about Wu, but then claimed it was an accidental like. We heard that Wu was a diva on the set of Hustlers, and while that story originated in Page Six, we think it has a grain of truth. I also found an interview Wu did with Colbert where she said she had to convince Crazy Rich Asians director Jon M. Chu to hold off production to accommodate her schedule on FOTB. Plus we talk about Always Be My Maybe, the new Netflix romcom starring Constance’s co-star on FOTB, Randall Park, with a special guest that gets me excited.  Royals and The Royal Baby: Minutes 16 to 22:45 For Mother’s Day Meghan posted a photo of baby Archie’s feet to Instagram! We wondered on podcast #13 whether they would do this, but in this case we didn’t mind because we’d already seen the baby. We talk about the name Archie and how he may have been named after Harry’s friend or Meghan’s childhood cat! I mention that my brother once named a dog after me. (He sometimes listens to the podcast so I hope he hears this.) We talk about the royal reporters being salty about Meghan inviting CBS and Gayle King to cover the baby presentation. Game of Thrones needs different writers: Minutes 22:45 to 31:30 We don’t have any spoilers for the finale because we record these Thursdays. There are spoilers up to the penultimate episode, The Bells, 8.5. We talk about the writers giving more motivation to the men and creating poorly-drawn women, particularly Daenerys. We also discuss the maudlin send off for Cersei and Jaime and who we want to survive the finale. User Questions: We’re looking for a new writer Minutes 31:30 to 36 Thanks to Diplomanatee and Becks1 for your feedback last week! We talk about Chandra’s laugh and why it’s so infectious. Also we discuss Busy Philipps’ show getting canceled by E! and how that’s a crock. We are looking for a new writer! We give our specifications for that position around minute 34:30. Royals: Minutes 2.5 to 8 In this episode of Gossip with Celebitchy, we talk about the rumors that Duchess Meghan already had the baby, which convinced me for a little while. Then we got reports from Buckingham Palace that the baby had not been born yet. We talked about hoping they release the baby’s name soon, unlike when Kate and William had Louis and didn’t announce it for five days. Plus we talked about a story we didn’t cover on the site, The Sussex Royal Instagram unfollowing everyone except mental health accounts. We wonder if we’re going to have to update the podcast with baby news but obviously we didn’t have to! Game of Thrones: Minutes 8 to 15 The Long Night, episode 3 of this last Game of Thrones season, was the first episode I’d watched live in five years. Chandra recommended two better battle episodes for me to watch, Hardhome and The Battle of The Bastards. We also talked about the very dark cinematography which had so many viewers complaining and the cinematographer getting quite defensive about it. Taylor Swift: Minutes 15 to 20 We talk about what a regression ME! is for Taylor Swift’s look and sound. We both love the video where she falls in love with a little ragdoll kitchen and realizes its for adoption. We also discussed the controversy over Taylor Swift using a drumline in her Billboard Music Awards Performance which was evocative of Beyonce’s performance at Coachella. Helena Christensen and our boobs: Minutes 20 to 23.5 Former British Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman wrote a horrible critique of Helena Christensen’s fashion using Helena’s age and body type. We discussed how ageist this is and talk about whether we’d wear bustiers as outerwear. We also both wanted to know what it’s like to have each other’s boob type. Oprah’s fabulous interview: Minutes 23.5 to to 25.5 Chandra loved Oprah’s interview with The Hollywood Reporter and was fascinated by Oprah’s thoughts and how she’s grown. We talk about the sexism Oprah experienced at 60 Minutes and why she left CBS. We laugh about Oprah shooting down Beto O’Rourke’s Presidential run. Anjelica Huston’s batsh-t interview: Minutes 25.5 to 30 Anjelica Huston, 67, gave an awful interview to Vulture where she trashed Penny Marshall and Carrie Fisher for doing drugs, defended Roman Polanski and pretty much said that statutory rape was ok in Europe when she was growing up so it’s no big deal. Chandra knew about Anjelica’s terrible childhood and how she might have ended up this way, although she doesn’t get a pass. Ghost stories with Hecate: Minutes 30 to 43 When Hecate/Kat covered Sting’s ghost story she shared one of her own stories, opening a fascinating and chilling discussion in the comments. I talk to her about some of her experiences and they scare me so much. She grew up with a Baptist ghost and has another creepy story about a little girl haunting her family’s cabin. Talk with my mom: Minutes 43 to 48 When I talked to Hecate I remembered an incident from my childhood. I called my mom to see if she remembered it and her answer surprised and moved me. The blind item from last week and user feedback: Minutes 48 to 52.5 We talk about the blind item from last week about a 90s icon Chandra spoke to and whether anyone got it right in the comments. We got really nice feedback about our Amazon posts and our Royals coverage. Thanks to everyone on Twitter who retweets and likes our podcast posts! I mention that Meghan may have had the baby already and not announced it but Chandra said that couldn’t happen or royal reporters would throw a fit! We mention the crazy story that Harry and Meghan would move overseas, which originated in the reputable Sunday Times of London. Sources told The Sunday Times it was William’s idea as Harry and Meghan were getting too much attention. Follow-up stories next claimed it was Harry’s idea! Then Vanity Fair told the Sussex’s side that they were staying in the UK and were not consulting with any family member except The Queen and Prince Charles. We wonder about this notion that William is preparing to king when his father is next in line.  Olivia Munn: Minutes 11 to 18 Olivia Munn posted a bizarre rant against Heather and Jessica of The Fug Girls, using their photos, names, and mischaracterizing their lighthearted fashion commentary. We talk about her hypocrisy and make a decision about our future coverage of her. Game of Thrones spoiler free: Minutes 18 to 20.5 We cover the excitement over Game of Thrones. Chandra says that the fan theories are getting out of control. She explains the way that White Walkers are made as I was unclear about this. Celebrity splits: Minutes 20.5 to 25.5 We discuss three recent celebrity splits: Adele and Simon Konecki, Anna Camp and Skylar Astin and Michelle Williams and the guy we barely heard about, Phil Elverum. Chandra loves Fossey Verdon and mentions that Michelle has crazy chemistry with Sam Rockwell. User questions including blind items: Minutes 25.5 to 31.5 Pamela and Caity asked us on Twitter about whether we get sent tips, particularly by publicists. We talk about a tip we got in 2010 from a woman who claims her friend slept with John Mayer! I read an excerpt from that email at minute 27. Chandra loves promo emails from designers and jewelry companies. Chandra spoke to a 90s icon several years ago from whom she got some blind items about another celebrity that person hates. Comments of the week: Minutes 31.5 to end My comment of the week was from BchyYogi about Jennifer Garner’s shoes. Chandra’s comment of the week was a matter-of-fact one about white privilege from ByTheSea on a Lori Loughlin post. We talk about white privilege and how trolls call us racist against white people. That’s not a thing!

In this week’s Gossip with Celebitchy podcast we talked about how awesome Game of Thrones is and how cinematic, epic and yet funny it can be. This is a spoiler free talk after I watched the premiere of season eight, which was the first time I’ve seen an episode in five years! I get why everyone loves it as there’s so much to unpack and it’s so entertaining. We also talked about Lori Loughlin continuing to play the clueless white privileged victim with her various leaks to the press and her cover of People Magazine. It really looks like she’s throwing her husband Mossimo Giannulli under the bus and like they’re all about to turn on each other. In our royal stories we discuss the wait for Meghan to give birth and the maybe-fake story that she’s planning to hire an American nanny and/or a male nanny. We also talk about the weird Vanity Fair story about William working out with the mums from Prince George’s school after the morning drop off. You can listen below! We also discuss Kim Kardashian studying for the bar and how she’s getting criticism for it. We think she just may pass, even if it’s not the first time. We also make fun of her ridiculous bathroom especially the concrete sink with the tiny slit which Kanye designed. Finally we talk about Jason Momoa shaving his beard and whether we like him shaved or with a beard. There was some debate about just how to pronounce his name and it turns out neither of us was right! I talked to four of my friends at a party and we all agreed that we wouldn’t kick him out of bed either way. Most of us liked him better shaved. (Sorry Rebecca!) Our user feedback was from Just Mooya on Twitter and Dog Obsessed Girl, who sent us a photo of her beautiful coonhound with a golden retriever puppy friend. Our comments of the week were on the posts about Will’s wandering scepter, Jana Kramer’s husband’s wandering scepter and Lori Loughlin’s idiocy. We’re back after an emergency week off as I dealt with complications from a minor medical procedure. We start off by talking about the Tatler story trashing Duchess Meghan and the fact that the Sussex Royal Instagram launch was wildly popular. We discuss the rumored affair between Prince William and Rose Hanbury, the Duchess of Cholmondeley.  As that story was being largely ignored by the British press, more nitpicking stories came out about Duchess Meghan, who is due with her first baby any day now. Sources claimed that Meghan had asked Prince Charles whether wearing a tiara would be appropriate during her trip to New Zealand with Prince Harry, which seemed perfectly reasonable to us. The only story which we thought was legitimate is that Meghan has spent too much on clothing. We talked about Joe Biden being inappropriate and handsy with women. It was too familiar to us as women and we talked about how we’ve become accustomed to being pawed and touched. Biden’s non-apology was inadequate and shows he still lacks awareness of what he’s done. Our favorite story this week was Nicolas Cage’s quickie Vegas marriage to a sketchy makeup artist. His annulment request cited fraud as the woman was in a relationship and had a DUI she didn’t disclose. We called it a gold digger fail after Cage’s assets were depleted after he failed to pay taxes in 2009. I remembered a crazy profile of Cage in The Daily Beast which detailed his insane parties and unbelievable lifestyle. Chandra/Kaiser discussed what’s coming up for Game of Thrones. She wants to see Cersei killed in the Battle of Winterfell and everyone is hoping Arya survives. It’s hard to tell what’s coming based on the teasers which have come out, and it’s clear that the actors really want to tell spoilers. Finally we talked about Us. I saw and loved it and have a spoiler-free review. It did incredibly at the box office and was somehow Lupita Nyong’o's first starring role after she won the Oscar for 2013′s 12 Years a Slave. We agree that Jordan Peele should continue to make movies starring people of color and make fun of the people crying reverse racism. Our user question was from Bluesky about how we cover breaking news! Our comments of the week were from Valiantly Varnished on feminists’ favorite Chris and Skylark on the origin of the rural rivalry between Duchesses Kate and Rose. We tried something new this week! We talked about three stories we deliberately didn’t cover! We start off with Operation Varsity Blues and how Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman are covering US Magazine. We talk about Elizabeth Holmes the Theranos scammer’s deep voice and how it’s probably an affectation and code switching.  We call it a bit sexist to focus on her voice and appearance when so many men do the same thing. Chandra is also watching Billions on Showtime and she talked about how great it is.  We cover the teaser trailer for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and say it looks like a campy fun film set in 70s Hollywood, but also like it’s using the Manson family murders and Bruce Lee to add interest. We talk about the royals and the controversy over the fashion brands which Kate and Meghan are wearing. Finally we cover Lena Dunham’s cringey essay for Vogue, which we definitely didn’t talk about on the site. It’s a long self-indulgent mess in which she requests some kind of unspecified light S&M from a sketchy guy.   Our user question is about the type of people we think Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will end up dating (we get a bit racy in that part). We have three comments of the week this week!  The stories and photos we talk about can be found through the podcast section on Celebitchy.com and they're also here: https://www.celebitchy.com/?p=614660 Music credit: Meydan, A.A. This week Chandra and I talked just a day after I had a minor medical procedure. I was on painkillers and sound a little wacky in parts. We talked about Operation Varsity Blues and how Laurie Loughlin and Felicity Huffman scammed to get their children into college. We also discussed Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez’s engagement, her giant engagement ring and how she claimed to be completely unaware that Alex was going to propose. We talked about Jose Canseco claiming that Alex was cheating with his ex wife, Jessica, which Jessica denied. There were even rumors that he was cheating on his ex wife, Cynthia, with Madonna. We discussed Duchess Meghan ruining a cute outfit with a nurse’s hat and how she’s trying to get ahead of her toxic family with stories that she’ll contact them after the baby is born.  We talked about Beto O’Rourke covering Vanity Fair and looking like a handsome rancher, and how it’s disappointing that he’s getting so much attention. We’ll definitely vote for the Democratic candidate whoever that is.  I saw Captain Marvel and while I didn’t love it I did adore the ginger cat Goose. I think more movies and shows should feature pets as supporting characters. We talk about the sad loss of Luke Perry, what a good guy he was and what he meant to us as a generation. We also discuss Alex Trebek revealing his cancer diagnosis. We laugh about Kate Beckinsale and Pete Davidson making out courtside at a Ranger’s game and come to the conclusion that they’re suited for each other.   Chandra explains the new Game of Thrones trailer and what that means for the upcoming season. (There are some spoilers for past seasons of Game of Thrones if you’d like to avoid those.) We cover the royals, including appearances by Duchesses Meghan and Kate and Kate’s very frumpy custom-made dress. We discuss Kim Kardashian’s hideous leopard head to toe looks in Paris, Taylor Swift’s essay for Elle Magazine, and Gwyneth Paltrow taking credit for popularizing the gluten free diet. Chandra and I also talk about how long it took for stories about Michael Jackson and R. Kelly to reach critical mass. I also talk to Hecate/Kat for the first time! We discuss the first episode of Leaving Neverland in general terms (we don’t cover the specific abuse) and about her decision to stop listening to Jackson’s music. She also reveals the origin of her pen name. Chandra explains how she came up with the name Kaiser and I talk about how I started Celebitchy. We had three comments of the week this week. JadedBrit opened up in the Khloe Kardashian post about how invaluable the CB community has been to her as an abuse survivor. Swack wondered how long you could last inside Gwyneth Paltrow’s head. We were so excited to catch up after we missed our talk last week to cover the Oscars. We discuss The Oscars and how we were scrambling to cover them live after upsets for Best Actress and Best Picture. We also cover the surprisingly biggest story to come out of the Oscars: Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga’s supposed chemistry and how Irina Shayk, Bradley’s partner, should be jealous. We crack up about Miranda Lambert’s messy marriage to a NYC cop she’s known all of three months who was living with his pregnant mistress when he met her. We also cover recent royal appearances, including Meghan and Harry’s trip to Morocco and Kate and William’s trip to Northern Ireland. Plus Meghan and Kate covered both People and Us Magazine this week. We analyze Jordyn Woods’ appearance on Red Table Talk and whether we think she’s telling the truth. We also talk about Khloe Kardashian’s history of taking back cheating men and blaming the other woman. We also discuss Duchess Meghan’s dad selling a handwritten letter she wrote him that showed how gracious she was to him after he sold her out. That was a clever chess move by Meghan, who forced her dad’s hand after mentioning the letter in her sourced People profile. George Clooney defended Meghan and called out the British press, similar to the way he called them out after Diana’s death. Of course the British press came for Clooney after that.
