The RSM Classic finished off the PGA Tour's Fall schedule, and it included a new winner on Tour and some movers that secured cards for 2025.The LPGA season wrapped up with the CME Group Tour Championship, and it was a nail-bitter of a Sunday between Angel Yin and Jean Thitikul for the largest prize money in LPGA history.Thanksgiving week is here and that means you can play golf without having to watch golf, you can eat what you want when you want, and you can watch whatever is on the television.Women's college basketball had two milestones this week: a new winningest coach in college basketball, and the end of the game's current longest winning streak.College Football had some surprises in store this weekend, and Alex's Baby Bets didn't fare too well.In the NFL, Michael's Giants had big changes over the last week, but the same horrible results. Alex's Patriots, meanwhile, cruised into meaninglessness. And the NFL Thanksgiving slate doesn't look that hot.As the guys #AlwaysEndWithFood, Alex can't believe the prices for pizza and chicken tenders at a UNLV game, while Michael is flabbergasted as a DiGiorno Thanksgiving Pizza special. Women's Golf: Japan's Hataoka 5th after CME Group Tour Championship 1st Round
Golfer Lydia Ko is preparing for the final tournament of the season, and a potential $7 million pay-day. Ko is chasing a third CME Group Tour Championship, however, it was her four legged friend and newly adopted good luck charm who stole the show at this week's media presser. Sports reporter Jonty Dine spoke to Lisa Owen.
Brendan and Andy start this Wednesday episode with some Fried Egg business, highlighting the Black Friday sale in the Pro Shop and promoting the just-announced 2025 events schedule. From there, Brendan gives a shoutout to Dr. George F. Grant, the inventor of the golf tee, who's getting some much-deserved recognition in Massachusetts. Andy is extra excited about the "player uprising" against slow play, which now includes Nelly Korda, Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson, and Lucas Glover, among others. The PGA Tour announced that the much-discussed changes to cut cards and field sizes were approved, with Jay Monahan giving PGA Tour "fans" the lead mention ahead of players and partners in the press release. Lucas Glover was not pleased with the results of this vote, telling Adam Schupak that "they think we're stupid" when saying these changes will improve pace of play. While player cards are getting cut in a few years, budget cuts are also reportedly coming to the PGA Tour as SSG is looking to decrease spending by "tens of millions" of dollars. Meanwhile, the DP World Tour is losing ten players to the PGA Tour, including Paul Waring, who shared his readiness to make the jump on social media. However, many LIV players - Jon Rahm, Sergio Garcia, Mean Dean, and more - will be reinstated on the DP World Tour for this upcoming season, having served suspensions and paid their fines, clearing the path for Sergio to return to the Ryder Cup. In a bonus Sports Minute, Brendan asks PJ for his reaction to the Jets firing GM Joe Douglas and wonders if, somehow, the Browns are the most stable NFL team represented by this podcast. A look at the Schedule of the Week starts with the RSM Classic, the final week of the FedEx Fall. Caitlin Clark will make an appearance in the Pro Am on Wednesday, playing with fellow Iowa icon Zach Johnson. Andy, Brendan, and PJ run through some Games Within a Game for the PGA Tour finale, touching Kelly Kraft, Christo Lamprecht, and, of course, Nico Echavarria. The LPGA season also wraps this week with the CME Group Tour Championship, with $4 million being awarded to the winner. For those wondering, you can play the Black Course at Tiburón Golf Club along side the LPGA stars throughout the week. Lastly, a fan favorite returns home for the Australian PGA Championship this week on the DP World Tour. To wrap things up, Brendan and Andy preview the latest installment of "The Match".

This episode is brought to you by LPGA. Don't forget to mark your calendars for November 20, 2024—the LPGA is unveiling its 75th Anniversary schedule for the 2025 season, kicking off at the CME Group Tour Championship. Catch all the action on NBC and Golf Channel! Turns out, we've all got a lot more in common with a professional athlete than we think. Yes, you included! You're in for a refreshingly honest look at the realities of life as a professional athlete, reminding us that self-doubt and pressure aren't signs of weakness—they're simply part of the journey, something we all experience, athletes or not. Avery sat down with professional golfer Lauren Coughlin, who's been golfing since the age of seven and making a name for herself on the LPGA Tour. With two championships and eight top-10 finishes this year alone, Lauren has not only mastered the game of golf but she's also learned invaluable lessons about discipline, resilience, and navigating the highs and lows of a competitive career. Avery and Lauren also talk about how golf is considered an old boys' club where men make business deals and network, and how as a woman and first-time golfer, you can also break into these male-dominated spaces with confidence. Lauren gives us an inside understanding of how her journey in golf has shaped her mindset and work ethic, and the importance of quieting your inner critic and having a strong support system—all things we can relate to in the corporate 9-5 grind. If you've ever struggled with self-doubt, managing pressure, or finding ways to keep growing in your career, this episode is packed with actionable takeaways that will inspire you to keep pushing forward—whether you're on the green or in the boardroom.

Holly G is in the studio with special guest host Brendan Sweeney, Director of Golf Media and Player Relations at French Lick Resort, Ind., recapping the last couple weeks of golf. Kevin Kisner won the RSM Championship for his first PGA Tour victory. Holly and Brendan talk about Tiger's announcement that he is not close to being rehabilitated to start another comeback. Lydia Ko won the Race to CME Globe for the second year in a row and the final event of the season, the CME Group Tour Championship was won by Christie Kerr. Todd Lewis, Golf Channels, calls in to talk to the duo from the Bahamas about the Hero World Challenge as well as Tiger Woods' announcement about his health. Tiger's career is not over, but he has a different attitude about if his career ended today would he be satisfied. Todd said that Tiger has been hinting at the fact that his career is in a valley right now but is hanging on to hope that they can get his body and his game back to where he wants to be, competing for a tournament win. Holly talks about the fact that Tiger can't even play soccer or pick up his kids and so far all Tiger can do is walk and take one step at a time. Todd mentions that there have been plenty of back surgeries and have come back. Look at Davis Love III, at the age of 51, with a fused neck Love won a PGA Tour event. Todd says that Tiger may take time off and is dejected but it is going to take some time, but Tiger can come back. He's only 39. Holly and Todd talk about Jordan Spieth and how his year has gone winning two majors and coming close to two others as well as the FedEx Cup championship. Rory McIlroy closes the year out winning the European Tour's Race to Dubai Championship. With Tiger's back surgery at the top of the news, Holly welcomes Dr Mitchell Suppler from the NeuroSpine Institute here in the Orlando area to the show and talks with him about Tiger's condition, the surgery he had and what his outlook may be. Dr Suppler talks with Holly about the importance of stretching. If they are strong and flexible you will be able to maximize what you can do with your spine. Can't be one and not the other. Even someone as fit as Tiger can have these injuries. Brendan asks Dr Suppler about the long term effects of having three surgeries in a row. Dr. Suppler said there is a psychological impact when you have been through the surgery and have rehabbed and expect to get back to your normal life and then boom it happens again. Tiger's issue is not such an issue that he would be paralyzed but it could become a degenerative disc injure. If he had another injury in the same spot the doctors would probably recommend a fusion of he two vertebrae. Dr Mitchell thinks that Tiger can come back and be competitive. But he feels that Tiger needs to modify his work habit, just like a typical non professional golfer would have to do. Tiger has to dial back his powerful swing and be in more control to be successful. Dr Suppler said he doesn't see Tiger being the player he was, but it will take some time. Steve Eubanks, Global Golf Post, calls in to talk to Holly about the incredible Lydia Ko and her second Race to the CME Globe title. Steve talks about how mature Lydia is. Steve also talks about the catalyst of the Hero World Challenge win in 2014 that catapulted his success on the PGA Tour all season long in 2015. Holly also Steve about the recent USGA Rules of Golf changes, especially the one about not being able to post your own score if you play alone and be able to maintain a handicap. Some other new rules, that PGA Tour players must add new events they've never played before in 2016-2017 season.
