Gutted but so very proud! That was the feeling of Kev and The Lutonian journalist James Cunliffe after witnessing Luton give everything they had but come up short to go down 2-1 to Manchester United. Listen to the boys recap the major moments of the 90 minutes including all three goals and the many other chances that came along over the course of what was a pulsating contest to witness. The big talking points include the terrible display by a set of officials who started the game badly and got progressively worse before the key men in a Town shirt were profiled individually, including the best piece of defensive midfield play Kev has ever seen! Another change of ownership again brought problems and administration followed again in 2007, until the club was eventually bought out by the fan-led 2020 consortium, headed up by Sweet, which has now helped steer the history-making Hatters from the non-league to the Premier League. The Supporters' Trust is a democratic, non-profit organisation run by fans for fans. The purpose of a Trust is to help fans to join together and strengthen their influence over the way Luton Town Football Club is run, and to improve the links between their club and the community it serves. In a way, we're like a union, believing that many voices are stronger than one and that the best way to influence the club is to represent many fans, not just ourselves. We have defended the Club in the tough times and maintain a shareholding in the Club to ensure we are able to protect and celebrate the future. We act as custodian of the image rights of the Club – to protect the Club name, kit colours, Club crest and mascot for the long-term interests of the Club. And like our Club, we have integrity. Madeleine Dyer is a writer, actor, director, and producer, whose body of work includes the 2017 comedy series Sexy Herpes, the acclaimed comedy series Colin from Accounts, where she worked with her sister Harriet Dyer, and now her latest film, A Savage Christmas, out in cinemas on 16 November 2023.A Savage Christmas tells the story of the Savage family as they meet for a sweaty summer Christmas in Queensland. After years of estrangement, trans woman Davina, played by Thea Raveneua, returns home with her partner Kane, played by co-writer Max Jahufer. Davina's well meaning parents, James (played by David Roberts) and Brenda (played by Helen Thomson), are still coming to terms with her transition and in a distinictly Aussie boomer-ish fashion, they struggle to understand the importance of pronouns and transitioning.Davina naturally expects her transition to be the focus of the family dinner, but her brother Jimmie Jr (Ryan Morgan) brings a cyclone of disruption along his way with a looming debt he needs to pay to a gangster (played by Gary Sweet). Thrown into the mix is their sister, Leila (Rekha Ryan), who is yet to tell her family about the imminent divorce she's going through. Chuck a dodgy Uncle Dick (Darren Gilshenan) and a frail Pomeranian into the mix and you've got your regular old Aussie Christmas.A Savage Christmas is a ridiculously funny and brilliantly scripted comedy that feels like a breath of fresh air. Performances across the board are exceptional, with Thea Raveneua and Max Jahufer both giving stellar debut turns. Hopefully we see more from them in the future. Equally great is Ryan Morgan who manages to bring a level of compassion to a familar character-type, while screen legends David Roberts, Helen Thomson, and Darren Gilshenan balance the bonkers with the grounded. In the above interview, Madeleine talks about the creation of the script with co-writers Max Jahufer and Daniel Mulvihill, what it means to be able to present an authentic Queensland summer on screen, and how she intends to forge a career in comedy on screen in Australia. To listen to other episodes, visit www.TheCurb.com.au. This is it, Hatters! The moment we've all been waiting for is nearly upon us. The Amex Stadium and Stamford Bridge are fine, but we've all dreamed of watching Premier League football at Kenilworth Road and soon we will. The old girl has had a revamp over the summer and we can't wait to be there for a cauldron atmosphere, the like of which few of us have seen before. And there's the not-insignificant matter of trying to win our first points of the campaign against an unbeaten West Ham United side that sits second in the Premier League and has already seen off Brighton and Chelsea, the two teams Luton has already played. So, how on earth can Luton start this new era with a positive result? Well, we've got the full podcast gang of Kev, Tony, James and Dan to discuss just that. ------------------------------------------------------------------- The Luton Town Supporters' Trust Podcast is now available as a video on: YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@lutontownsupporterstrust/podcasts Please like and subscribe. Has there ever been a more glorious fan reaction to a Premier League defeat like we saw at Stamford Bridge? So, a Raheem Sterling-inspired Blues beat Luton 3-0 to ensure Town remain pointless after two top-flight games, but the real story is what happened after the game. More than 3,000 Luton supporters that packed into the west London stadium stayed in their seats until well after the final whistle to cheer and chant for their Hatters heroes, in a show of support and solidarity that will be alien to most Premier League fans. It led manager Rob Edwards and chief executive to both comment on how emotional it made them feel and here in our Chelsea review podcast, Kev, Tony, James and Dan discuss the events of that evening, both on and off the field. And with days remaining on the 2023 summer transfer window, the boys look ahead to where Luton might need to strengthen as well as a possible exit for one of the fan favourite stars that helped the Hatters win promotion to the big time. ------------------------------------------------------------------- The Luton Town Supporters' Trust Podcast is now available as a video on:  YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@lutontownsupporterstrust/podcasts Thanks to the Hightown Club in Luton for hosting us. In this textbook example of 80s slash trash, an aspiring actress (Jenny Neumann, Hell Night), haunted by the childhood memory of her mother being thrown through a car window, finds herself trapped at the centre of a brutal killing spree as one by one her fellow thespians are butchered by a psychopath with a sliver of glass. Adding non-stop bloodshed to his successful cinematic recipe of softcore sex and ample naked flesh, Ozploitation auteur John D. Lamond (Felicity) takes on the stalk 'n slash genre with a vengeance in this infamous home-grown Halloweenclone. Proudly high on body count (including a notoriously graphic full-frontal thrill kill scene) and thankfully low on subtext, Nightmares offers the rare opportunity to see a host of famous Aussie faces (Gary Sweet, Briony Behets, John Michael Howson and others) dispatched in the most gruesome ways imaginable!Director: John D. Outside of her financial nerdery, Abigail is a dynamic and versatile performer, most recently seen on stage in Nick Payne's Constellations, and on screen in the Screen Australia funded web-series 2121, opposite Gary Sweet. She's a sucker for an indoor plant, and believes that any budget with a 'no latte' rule is the worst sort of budget. Viva la coffee! Instagram: @freetheartistcoaching

It's that time of the week to get Lost as we move into the 7th episode of the 4th season, Ji Yeon. Is this episode just fine? Why do we care about Jin finding a giant panda for a random Chinese man? Why does Hurley give a weird smirk to Sun in the hotel? Are we crying when Jin's grave is shown? Why is Kate so random this season? Do we all want to pass Jin the cereal? Should Jin know as much English as he does? Is Juliet the pot calling the kettle black? How great is the character development between Sun and Jin this episode? How excited are we to FINALLY see Grant Bowler make his first appearance? Why is the captain so built up as evil but is basically just a cute little puppy dog? What is the deal with Regina? How funny is Gary Sweet? And how amazing is the surprise appearance of Michael? On January 10th 2019, a legend was asked to step into the managerial breach after the shock departure of the former manager. It was initially thought that, moving from his role as head of recruitment, Mick Harford would be an interim appointment. On January 26th the former star striker, coach and manager led Luton Town to the top of League One and, as records tumbled, there they stayed until the final day of the season in May when Harford guided the Hatters to the league title. The "proudest moment" of his career.  For him it was redemption after he was at the helm ten years ago when, burdened by a never matched points penalty by the game's governing body, Town slipped out of the Football League for the first time in 89 years. No-one blamed Harford but the pain of those dark days stayed with him, only relieved when he lifted silverware above his head at a packed Kenilworth Road. He'd heard his name sung there on many occasions, but the reception he got that day still gives him shivers down his spine. Kevin and Tony met up with Mick a few weeks after that memorable weekend to get his thoughts on one of the best campaigns in Hatters history. He talks about:  how taking charge was an offer he couldn’t turn down his first game in charge, taking Town to his boyhood team Sunderland and claiming a memorable draw on a “special, special day” complete with applause from two sets of fans. how he realised Luton could get promoted after a last-gasp 3-2 winner at home to Portsmouth Luton making history by going 28 games unbeaten where the team of 2018/19 ranks in his 35 years at Kenilworth Road the elation of the final day the promotion celebrations including going to the Bricklayer’s Arms and Painter’s Arms in High Town with CEO Gary Sweet and board member Paul Balantyne  the impression that new Luton manager Graeme Jones has made on him and how he think he’ll do in the hotseat as Town return to the Championship after 12 years away.  his return to his recruitment process and what that means this summer

For years David Elliot Penton stalked elementary schools and playgrounds looking for young girls from low-income neighborhoods to abduct, rape and murder. He thought of them as "throwaway kids"-hardly missed, and soon forgotten, except by those who loved them. He was every parent's worst nightmare. The bogeyman they warned their children about ... the fiend who lurked outside bedroom windows.Christi Meeks disappeared during a game of hide-and-seek outside her mother's Mesquite apartment complex in January 1985 and was found dead less than three months later in Lake Texoma.Christie Proctor's body was found in a south Plano field in April 1988, more than two years after the fourth-grader was last seen walking from her North Dallas apartment to a friend's house. And Roxann Reyes was snatched from an alley while playing outside her Garland apartment in November 1987.This story focuses on the work of a team of police detectives, starting with Garland Police Detective Gary Sweet, who picked up the cases of the three missing girls after they'd gone cold.In 1996, years after the murders, he found the girls' files and information on suspect David Elliot Penton. "For some reason, out of all the stuff that was in those two boxes, I pulled out a file and started reading about him," Sweet said.Penton was in jail in Ohio for killing 9-year-old Nydra Ross. What followed was a series of fateful twists — from reviewing old tips, to conducting new interviews and gathering information shared by Penton's cellmates. By 2003, Sweet and the team had enough to indict Penton. TRUE DETECTIVE-From The Detective's Perspective-Gary Sweet
