Phil and Josh continue the odyssey for E103 of the GSP discussing Scotty McLaughlin's first IndyCar win at St. Pete, Larson winning at ACS, F1 testing and more. The guys go over all the keys that let to McLaughlin's win along with who stood out and struggled during the weekend. For Cup, the racing was good and showed the Gen7 car is a game changer in many ways...however, it hasn't slowed down the defending series champion. Cole Custer helped SS Green Light Racing get their first ever XFinity win the day before. F1 Testing took place at Barcelona with takeaways on the teams bringing the heat and who has work to do before the next test at Bahrain. The Roundup covers MotoGP's opener at Qatar, V8 Supercars at Sydney, NHRA at Phoenix and WRC in Sweden. Phil and Josh make their picks for Las Vegas across all three series and provide thoughts regarding Miss hUMMer announcing the next two weeks. Josh provides his views as an iRacer in the Sim Segment before the show close.
Phil and Josh return for E87 of the GSP to discuss one of Lewis Hamilton's greatest performances in his illustrious career. Through plenty of turmoil, controversy and argy bargy, LH44 got in there and beat Max Verstappen in a massive way to get momentum and cut into Verstappen's championship lead with three races remaining. The guys go over the performance and what it means for now and in general regarding Lewis' career. Do the recent upgrades help Mercedes catch Red Bull after being behind most of the year? Who else stood out behind this epic battle? The guys do a NASCAR Roundup discussing the Gen7 testing at Charlotte along with news from #RFKRacing, #23XIRacing, #JGR and #GMSRacing. The GSP Roundup covers the dramatic IMSA finale at Petit Le Mans, Valentino Rossi's last MotoGP race at Valencia, Supercars at Sydney III and IV and WSBK in Indonesia. 2-time Cup Series winner and current NASCAR broadcaster David Ragan joins the show this week to discuss several of the hot button issues surrounding the future of NASCAR. The Gen7 car is scheduled for release in 2022 and while the car has been tested a few times, testing will really ramp up in the coming months. We'll talk to Ragan about his thoughts on the Gen7 car and what the pros and cons are for this new car. Plus, NASCAR's schedule for 2021 was released and it featured several additional road courses events & Chicagoland and Kentucky have been removed from the scheudle. We'll get David's take on the new scheudle and what he likes going forward. We will also ask him about the pros and cons of one day shows that are featured heavily in the scheudle in 2021. Also, From 2007-2011 David Ragan was a part of Roush Fenway Racing. Recently the organization has struggled and many fans of Ford and the organization wonder if they can get back to their glory days and wonder what the reasons for the struggles are. We'll also discuss the latest silly season news at least one update is expected on Monday. We'll break that down as well.
