On this very special (and very long) episode of The Carnival Grounds, Maxxx and the Reverend finally get to discuss at length the first album in the polarizing but profoundly important Second Deck of Joker's Cards, the ineffable BANG! POW! BOOM! This album served as Maxxx's reintroduction to the wonder and magic of The Dark Carnival, both musically and spiritually, as Maxxx had been very underwhelmed with the culture and with Juggalos at large at the time (mostly due to a negative experience at the GOTJ 2008). This album was the catalyst that reinvigorated Maxxx and countless others, and the proof is in the numbers, as ICP once again found their way into the top of the billboard charts with the release of B!P!B! Mere weeks after The Gathering ended, it was revealed that Alla Xul Elu, who had performed at GOTJ, were on Majik Ninja and would be releasing their newest LP in September. This time around, the group added new member Lee Carver into the fray, and now the trio were set to "re-debut" to a whole new audience of the underground with MNE's backing. We've finally come to the conclusion of our "Shit We Missed". We laughed, we cried, Schmeev threatened to punch Mike in the skull repeatedly for forcing him to listen to these, but we made it. Today, we talk about a little-known album in Psychopathic's history. Prior to AMB's glorious win at GOTJ 2005 for an album contract, V Sinizter did it first. Unfortunately, due to a number of reasons, the album came and went with little fanfare. Mike was finally able to acquire a copy of this album, so it only made sense to try and find out just why Juggalos as a whole didn't gravitate towards it. Was V Sinizter still green as an artist? Did Psychopathic drop the ball in helping to nurture a fledgling album to be worth taking notice of? Did Mike see V Sinizter's set at Camp Xul and think he was cool as hell? HELLO! It is I, here to wish you a very happy thanksgiving, and in case you're hiding from your family in a spacious linen closet, I have prepared a small amuse bouche for your ear holes. I am finally ready to release some of the content I made at the Gathering of the Juggalos that I went to in August of this year. It had been two years since they had been able to gather and the energy was literally ELECTRIC, the Faygo was flowing, and the whoop whoops could be heard from every corner of the festival grounds.  Now what is the "Gathering?"  The Gathering of the Juggalos (The Gathering or GOTJ)[1] is an annual festival put on by Psychopathic Records, featuring performances by the entire label roster as well as numerous well-known musical groups and underground artists. It was founded by Jumpsteady, Insane Clown Posse (Joseph Bruce and Joseph Utsler), and their label in 2000. Described by Joseph Bruce as a "Juggalo Woodstock"[2] (Juggalo being a nickname for fans of the Insane Clown Posse), the Gathering of the Juggalos spans five days and includes concerts, wrestling, games, contests, autograph sessions, karaoke, and seminars with artists.   I would define it as a place where straight men greet each other by showing one another the inside of the their tuchus hole...with some of the nicest people you'll ever meet - where you get sprayed with soda that is composed of toxic levels of sugar and yellow 5 and the shower lines are so long that you literally have this sludgey syprupy shit on your skin so long that you almost turn into a mutant lisa frank animal.   It's the hardest thing I've ever tried to collect stories at, and the MOST FUCKING FUN OF ALL TIME. NO RULES. LITERALLY. I've never ever laughed so hard and met such interesting humans. Two thumbs WAY UP FOR THE GATHERING. I've been trying to go to this for 10 years. I went. I saw. We didn't see Elias in his hometown for Extreme Rules - despite the obvious Pittsburgh references throughout. Sorg is sad he didn't get an awesome Shinsuke v Jeff Hardy match. THE CROWD GOT KICKED IN THE BALLS BY SHINSUKE! Rob can FEEL the wrestling in Nashville. We're taking a few moments to remember Bruno Sammartino and the history of wrestling. Speaking of our guest, Rob, it was great seeing him being pushed around in the ring on a Dojo Pro video on Facebook. Rob Johnston is talking about some of the fun with Dojo Pro.
