In 2005, Brad Balukjian left his position as a magazine fact-checker to pursue a dream job: partner with his childhood hero, The Iron Sheik (whose real name was Khosrow Vaziri), to write his biography. Things quickly went south, culminating in the Sheik threatening Balukjian's life. Now seventeen years later, Balukjian returns to the road in search of not only a reunion with the Sheik, but something much bigger: truth in a world built on illusion. Balukjian seeks out six of the Sheik's contemporaries, fellow witnesses to the World Wrestling Federation's (WWF) explosion in the mid-‘80s, to unearth their true identities. As Balukjian drives 12,525 miles around the country, we revisit the heady days when these avatars of strength, villainy, and heroism first found fame and see where their journeys took them. From working out with Tony Atlas (Tony White) to visiting Hulk Hogan's (Terry Bollea) karaoke bar, we see where these men are now and how they have navigated the cliffs of fame. The Six Pack: On the Open Road in Search of Wrestlemania (Hachette, 2024) combines the spirit of a fan with the rigor of an investigative reporter, tracking down former WWF employees, childhood friends, and mutually curious archivists. Wrestling is perceived as a subculture without a cultural home, somewhere between sport and theater—often dismissed as silly and low‑brow. But what makes this book so compelling is the humanity beneath each wrestler. The Iron Sheik, Hulk Hogan, and the rest of the cast were not characters in a comic book movie. They were real people, with families and feelings and bodies that could break. Most of them did, in fact, break; some have been repaired, but none of them will ever be the same. We celebrate 8 whole years of podcasting by getting on two guests that Sam has had the pleasure of having previously been on both of their shows. Jason from Binge Movies (catch Sam on the episodes for Die Hard ripoffs and The Muppets) and Stew from Stew World Order (catch Sam on the Spider-Man episode) are here to discuss the "film" that is No Holds Barred. No words were barred either as we turn this episode into a "fark Hulk Hogan... and Vince McMahon too" and go deep into a movie that is about as deep as a teaspoon. After listening, why not ask the guys about their charity work, before they rip 'em. Featuring Q's like....Was Hogan's weak, ineffectual brother "Randy" a dig at Macho Man? If Hogan's manhood is 10 inches long, but Terry Bollea's is not, how long is Rips? What dialogue/scene was totally written by Hogan, and what was Vince? But of course the best questions are from our premier Patreons. Wanna join them and help shape the show? On today's show with Fletcher Sharpe.... We talk Michiganders and Michigan-connected people to watch at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Fletcher shares his excitement for the games, particularly the cultural celebrations and the significance of medals to athletes from smaller countries. A couple of names include basketball star Devin Booker and track sensation Grace Stark. Next, they delve into the unexpected appearance of Terry Bollea (a.k.a. Hulk Hogan) at the Detroit Lions training camp. This segment explores the mixed reactions from fans and the implications of Hogan's controversial past. Fletcher provides a nuanced perspective on the situation, questioning the appropriateness of Hogan's presence given his history. The discussion then shifts to the Detroit Lions' upcoming season, specifically focusing on kicker Jake Bates, who is stepping up due to Michael Badgley's injury. Fletcher analyzes Bates' performance and the potential impact on the team's season. Finally, they pay tribute to Abdul "Duke" Fakir of the Four Tops, who recently passed away at the age of 88. They reflect on his lasting legacy and the importance of preserving the stories of Motown legends. There will be a public viewing on Thursday. Wiecie, że był brany pod uwagę do roli Mr. Freeze w Batmanie i Robinie? No właśnie. To najbardziej charakterystyczny wrestler i najlepszy aktor, ale niestety nie w filmach

ALL DAY BREAKFAST is the morning show you never knew you needed, whenever you want to hear it! This episode was recorded in the weird point in time while we all waited for the US to pick a president. How much can Trump still do? Alex gets mad about cars and gets some bad news about his Christmas party. Why do we think celebrities have to be nice? Some people voted for Kanye! Cancel culture. Social media saves Alex from a butt whoopin. Georges Laraque might fight Mike Tyson! Hulk Hogan is hung, Terry Bollea is not. Wet facemasks.
"You think you know Hollywood Hulk Hogan? Brother, you don't know squat about me. Yeah, I'm the towering red-and-yellow warrior who revolutionized the wrestling business, the larger-than-life superhero who transformed an entire country into a horde of Hulkamaniacs. I'm the guy who spit blood and breathed fire to help create an empire called World Wrestling Entertainment. But it wasn't always like that. Once I was a fat kid named Terry Bollea watching legends like Dusty Rhodes and Superstar Billy Graham, never dreaming I'd be a professional wrestler myself one day. Find out what makes me cry like a baby and what makes my blood boil. Then tell me you know the man called Hollywood Hulk Hogan." Join the Babe Ruth of wrestling on a gritty, no-holds-barred odyssey from his start in the barbaric wrestling arenas of the seventies through the humiliation of his involvement in federal steroid-abuse trials to the achievement of his greatest triumph yet. Along the way, lock up with the likes of Mr. T, Ted Turner, The Rock...and of course, Vince McMahon, head of World Wrestling Entertainment.
Better late than never! Only three years after it was originally supposed to be released, revel in the sweaty, muscle-bound glory of Hulk Hogan's debut as a leading man: No Holds Barred! PLUS: a smell of chocolate, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Demolition, wrestling nerdery, axe hammers, Jesse Ventura's loud hair, pot plants, giant men and their small furniture, the world's worst limo driver, baby oil, the inner workings of Terry Bollea and Vince McMahon's minds, Hulk Hogan's mastery of the French language and his "sexy" face, ratings, poor names for combat sports events, Stan Hansen, "Klondyke Raymond", "Brock Jizzer", Frank Welker, grunting sounds, Street Fighter, a fundamental misunderstanding of how the television industry works, a random clown, laughing security cameras, Every Which Way But Loose, the cure for paralysis, Pink Floyd, Knight Rider and picking up women… by the face.
Partly a review of "Nobody Speak: Trials of the Free Press" I discuss, Hulk Hogan, freedom of speech, consent, and billionaires behaving badly. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

Let me tell you something brother!!! On this episode we dive in to another touchy subject, the time Hulk Hogan had sex with his best friends wife, then sued the company that released a tape of it, and swore under oath that Hulk Hogan has a 10 inch penis but Terry Bollea does not. Sounds like grade A GoodBad material to us. Watch the short video of his testimony here https://youtu.be/izYE04Zko5c then come back to hear or take on this hilarious story. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Check out the Podcast Video on youtube. https://youtu.be/zxab_JjAUlI Episode 17 "hulk hogan" Join your hosts, Phraydoe Peans and Thompson as they discuss the rise and fall of American wrestling superstar Terry Bollea, aka, Hulk Hogan, who hails from the Clearwater and Tampa area's of Florida. Listen in as they discuss his rise up the latter at the WWF and how he helped create the superstar persona and made it the spectacle it is today. They talk about his start as a "babyface" and transition to a "heel" after joking the WCW after a fall out with Vince McMahon. They even get into his career as a actor in TV and film. They then debate the scandals that fueled his downfall such as his court admitted steroid use and racial slurs regarding his daughter dating men of another race. They ponder the pressures of the public to go from "regular looking guys in singlets" like the wrestlers of the 60s to the "jacked up" muscle guys of the 80s. Side note, Phraydoe may or not have a weird obsession with hulk's fixation of using hydrogen peroxide on his beard. Tune in now watch, like and Subscribe Pretty Please!! Extreme Rules was in Pittsburgh, and we are once again reminded why we can't have nice things. Sorg was so close at Extreme Rules that he almost took a pancake to the face. Dave heard Steelers chants come through the TV feed for Extreme Rules. Sorg recalls no such chants. Were they piped in? Hmmm. Things we are thankful for - The Roman Reigns v Bobby Lashley match didn't follow the Iron Man Match at Extreme Rules. We didn't see Elias in his hometown for Extreme Rules - despite the obvious Pittsburgh references throughout. Sorg is sad he didn't get an awesome Shinsuke v Jeff Hardy match. THE CROWD GOT KICKED IN THE BALLS BY SHINSUKE! Rob can FEEL the wrestling in Nashville. We're taking a few moments to remember Bruno Sammartino and the history of wrestling. Speaking of our guest, Rob, it was great seeing him being pushed around in the ring on a Dojo Pro video on Facebook. Rob Johnston is talking about some of the fun with Dojo Pro. Some major professional wrestling events are forever known as "the show with that match". Uncensored 1996 is one of those events. And "that match" is the utterly reprehensible 8-on-2 Doomsday Cage debacle. Join Dean, Liam and special guest Paul Benson of Hooked On Wrestling as they attempt to answer several pivotal questions. Questions such as "how was Giant Haystacks' big Stateside moment?", "why did mid-90s promotions treat women so badly?" and "can four of the company's most established performers really make a Chicago Street Fight a total chore to watch?". Oh, and don't worry: they go in two-footed on Ed Leslie and Terry Bollea, too.
We go somewhere different this week and we take a ride on the Free Press Express. Terry Bollea and his patsy ass try and take our freedoms. But we won't let him.
Knowing what we know about Hollywood Hulk Hogan, it's no surprise he'd title his autobiography with just his name. The biggest icon in pro wrestling likely has more great stories than anyone, but the Hulk Hogan mythos too often gets in the way of reality. On the latest episode of Awesome Truth, we try to separate Hulk fact from Hogan fiction as we delve into the life of Terry Bollea, the man who put professional wrestling (and, to hear him tell it, Vince McMahon) on his back and carried sports entertainment to new heights.
It can be a lonely life when you don't like wrestling but end up devoting most of your time to studying a wrestler. So when we find a kindred spirit like Stephen Perlstein of the You Should Love Wrestling podcast, we get pretty excited and take up an unreasonable amount of his time. In fact, we talked to Stephen for so long that we had to split the conversation over two episodes. Here in part 1, we discuss topics like Hulk Hogan's personal hygiene, tanning regimen, and golden toilets, as well as REO Speedwagon, hometown heroes, cat diets, Nu Metal, zoo attendance, pasta, and Terry Bollea’s penis. Don’t miss it. The GWHtvTALK crew talk birthdays, history, and in honor of his birthday, Terry Bollea.
Today on Cyber Law Business Report Brian Knappenberger joins the show. Brian is an award-winning documentary director, producer, and writer whose credits span film and television. His most recent feature film, The Internet's Own Boy: The Story of Aaron Swartz, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and is the winner of the Writers Guild Award for Best Screenplay. In March 2016, a Florida jury returned a $140 million verdict in favor of Terry Bollea aka Hulk Hogan against Gawker Media for publishing a tape of him having sex with the wife of his best friend (shock jock Bubba the Love Sponge). As the verdict forced Gawker into bankruptcy, it was discovered that the case had been funded by Silicon Valley billionaire Peter Thiel as a vendetta for past coverage of him and his personal life.
We start this episode of Late to the Nitro Party with a great cruiserweight battle between Chris Benoit and Alex Wright. This is followed up by an even better match put on by Eddy Guererro and Steven Regal! These matches are followed by more who trust who shenanigans with Sting and Luger before the Stinger takes on DDP. Then we have a tag match with AA and Flair v Savage and Mr. Terry Bollea himself. Bollea with another great showing that the fans really love and appreciate.....or maybe not.
In addition to our Roadblock predictions, we discuss Ken Anderson's firing, DVR issues, Hulk Hogan vs Terry Bollea and their "manhoods", WWE's list of best Diva's matches, Swagger's whereabouts, and Tyler Breeze's problems. Also, Basement Jer continues his feud with HHH in a new recurring segment.

Was Hulk Hogan Framed we will talk Tuesday 8 pm est here's what happened Friday: “WWE terminated its contract with Terry Bollea (aka Hulk Hogan). WWE is committed to embracing and celebrating individuals from all backgrounds as demonstrated by the diversity of our employees, performers and fans worldwide.”This all but confirms the now widespread rumors that Hogan was involved in some sort of racial incident in an audio interview online; a rumor that has been making its rounds since late Thursday night when the story first broke. Wrestlezone is working to confirm these rumors, and will provide updates as they become available.
A podcast about popular culture we kinda like, but more often than not, really hate.Damian, Eric, and Jason are joined by the always delightful Tammie Rubin to discuss the latest Tom Cruise blockbuster "Edge of Tomorrow." Also, Damian reveals his really shitty latent mutant power and Hate-amania runs wild when it comes to Eric's prowess at Tweeting. A special thanks to the Hulkster for lending his voice talents to our humble show. We love you Terry Bollea!
