From there, we get into missing LEGO pieces, memories of Joy, Brooke becoming the cat whisperer, whether cats are useful house tools, overly happy coffee shop workers, and why Green Bean coffee downrange still hits different. We also talk about Robby's otter-like dog Slinky, mowing windows between rainstorms, missing proper thunderstorms, watching for tornadoes from the garage, a wild lightning strike story, giant wasps, mosquito bites, and the important debate of whether you “itch” or “scratch” your leg. Support the show

Rainy. Chilly. Getting colder. One more day of work and then it's a nice, looong weekend! On the show this morning, we talked to Grant Bilse from the Wisco Sports Show about the Packer win on Sunday and what his plans are for the Thanksgiving holiday. In the news, the latest on the escape & eventual arrest of Morgan Geyser, an executive from Campbell's Soup gets caught on tape saying some really unsavory things about their products, and Tara Reid claims she got drugged at a hotel bar. In sports, the 49ers beat the Panthers on Monday Night Football to wrap up Week 12 in the NFL, we then looked at how we did with our Pigskin Picks. Elsewhere in sports, the Bucks lost for the fifth time in a row last night, Joe Burrow is starting for the Bengals on Thursday, JJ McCarthy is in the concussion protocol, an update on Baker Mayfield's injury, Shedeur Sanders gets named the starting QB for the Browns, and Chauncey Billups pleads 'not guilty'. We talked about what's on TV today/tonight and what's new on New Release Tuesday. Plus, another franchise is part of the public domain...which means we're getting not one...but TWO "Wizard Of Oz" horror movies. A couple of recent surveys about Thanksgiving found that 58% of Americans will order some of their Thanksgiving meal from a restaurant, and apparently 40% of people want to ban green bean casserole from the turkey day dinner! Cool story about a 15 year-old kid from Buffalo who helped save his stepfather's life by performing CPR on him for eight minutes until the paramedics showed up. And another cool story about a couple in Minnesota who both survived comas and recently got engaged to one another! An etiquette expert suggests that you shouldn't have your Christmas tree up just yet. And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a bus driver who was drunk on NyQuil, a couple of guys who were shooting at rats, a paper cut that went REALLY bad, a dude who tried to burn a woman by setting a couch on fire, and a dead body in a car that got towed.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Cooking shouldn't feel this hard anymore, and that's exactly why COOKforTWO was born. In this episode I talk about how C42 is shifting the way empty nesters cook by making meals simpler, more intuitive, and way less stressful. It's about letting go of the pressure to cook like we used to and finding new rhythms that fit the lives we have now. And then I talk with Jill from @cookingupmemoriesinsta about her own different cooking shift. That ones about condensed soup, y'all. So many changes, but always tasty food. In this episode of the Estranged Heart Podcast, Kreed explores the concept of echo chambers through the lens of personal experiences, particularly during a Thanksgiving gathering. He discusses how fear and familiarity can trap individuals in unproductive patterns, preventing growth and change. The conversation emphasizes the importance of curiosity as a means to break free from these echo chambers and encourages listeners to challenge their perspectives and embrace new experiences for healing and personal development.Takeaways- Echo chambers limit curiosity and growth.- Fear prevents individuals from trying new things. Curiosity can help break the cycle of fear.- It's important to question familiar narratives.- Healing requires stepping out of comfort zones.www.TheEstrangedHeart.comEmail: hello@TheEstrangedHeart.comWork with Kreed: https://theestrangedheart.com/services(private coaching, mediation, support groups, webinars, etc.)The Heart Collective: https://theestrangedheart.com/membershipFacebook Support Group for Estranged Moms (facilitated by Kreed)https://www.facebook.com/groups/estrangedmotherssupportgroupTo support the podcast and Kreed's work with estranged and reconciled parents and adult children: https://buymeacoffee.com/kreedrevere

To make: Justine chars the beans in a hot cast iron pan with a little olive oil – she does this in batches so the beans don't overcrowd the pan. Once the green beans are charred, you take them out, then in the same pan you toast raw sesame seeds, and right towards the end you add coriander seeds and dried mint. Then you add the beans back and toss it all together with some flaky salt, a splash of sherry vinegar, and a drizzle of honey. You can add pickled onions, too if desired!Another fun take on green beans and sesame flavors from Susan Spungen And a green beans with yogurt and dill recipe similar to what Sonya made. My husband once told me that it's getting too expensive to eat plant-based, mainly because he saw the rising prices of plant-based milks at our local grocery store. But then I started to list some of many other ways we were saving money eating this way. What I didn't get to tell him, though, was this: there are also lots of strategies that can be used when buying plant-based foods to stay on budget, and smart hacks to help extend your fresh produce and minimize food wastage. These will stretch your shopping dollars so you can save more money in the long run!   So how do you do that with green beans? In this episode, I'll share the results of an experiment I did last Fall to figure out the best ways to store green beans after bringing them home from the store, so you can get the most out of them with less waste. So, if you want to learn one smart way to make eating plant-based on a budget doable…even with rising food prices, join me on the inside!     Join -> www.plantnourished.com/ppltcourse Contact -> healthnow@plantnourished.com Learn -> www.plantnourished.com Connect in the Facebook Community -> www.bit.ly/pbdietsuccess Apply -> Free Rapid Health Transformation Call: https://bit.ly/plantnourished Free Resource -> Quick Start Grocery Guide for Plant-Based Essentials: www.plantnourished.com/groceryguide     Have a question about plant-based diets that you would like answered on the Plant Based Eating Made Easy Podcast?
