We strain every sinew to come up with descriptions that do justice to the aural treats we are celebrating. However, sometimes you hear a tune, and it just blows yer socks off, rendering you uncharacteristically speechless. All you can muster is over-used, vacuous platitudes like ‘anthem alert' or ‘absolute banger' which, funnily enough, brings us to a case in point. Dave's new Selador offering ‘Two By Two' grabs you eagerly by the hand and drags you to the floor from the off, sticks yer head in the nearest speaker stack, and cries “Let's goooo!!” – and you remain in thrall to its pounding magnificence for nigh on six minutes. The opening bassline motif is pure jackin' magic, and when the insanely memorable, and ever so slightly unearthly “two by two, side by side” vocal hook enters the fray, all bets are off. These elements are the foundation stones around which assorted riffage is woven. There are few brews more potent on 2024 peak time dancefloors. Oh, and for long time fans of Dave's work, we reckon it's a bit like Buzzfuzzle meets The Mighty Ming, aided and abetted by a vocal reminiscent of Divine's classic Native Love. And if that doesn't whet your appetite enough to press play without delay, heaven knows what will. Team Selador – Two is the magic number x

As UK Independent electronic music label Selador Recordings approaches its 10th anniversary, preparations to mark the occasion are well underway. The imprint was started by Dave Seaman & Steve Parry back in 2013 and has been at the forefront of club culture for the last decade, bringing its mantra of quality House and Techno and all shades in-between to clubbers and music fans around the globe. The label's distinctive rabbit head logo has become a byword for genuine quality and consistency in a saturated marketplace - so it's only fitting that fate has decreed that the birthday coincides with the Year of the Rabbit. Selador are planning a series of celebratory releases befitting of this milestone, with an array of artists who've appeared on the label over the last decade being invited to collaborate on tracks together. It's an impressive list which showcases the respect in which original Acid House Lifers Dave and Steve are held. As per with Selador, it's a truly international affair, with every continent represented. Be it via email, Whats App or Messenger, the Selador is never closed. Carlos has been building himself quite a reputation in Central America, sharing club and festival stages with the likes of Re.You, Anja Schneider, Oliver Koletzki whilst Enes runs the Dawgs Musik company in Istanbul for events and podcasts, and has played alongside the likes of James Zabiela, Timo Maas – and Dave Seaman. It was a perfect case of isolation creation when the two hooked up during lockdown to make ‘Wake Up’, inviting Seher K to add the cherry on top . DJ and producer Jepe who's real name is João Silva, grew up at the sea near Porto where he got into the music business. Meanwhile moved to Berlin, he just released his album "The Realm" on Sasse's imprint Moodmusic. 2020 will be an exciting year for the Portuguese musician. He's working on a project together with Japanese composer Takumi Motokawa and another release on Multinotes. First up, we explore some dense and earthy music with Black Seed (Matteo Viani) - a Turin-based producer with a phenomenal new 12" on Sign Bit Zero. Matteo says he's in a more reflective time in his life - which shows on this mix. After that, we head to the dancefloor with the Berlin-based Enzo Elia. Enzo has been crafting huge tunes for years, both solo, and with projects like Balearic Gabba Soundsystem and El Freakadell. This has seen him release records on some of the finest labels around - Golf Channel, Freerange, Compost, Hell Yeah, and Black Pearl.
