Ep. 180 (Part 2 of 2) | In this podcast, John Prendergast, spiritual teacher, depth psychotherapist (retired), and prolific author, eloquently lays out the territory we encounter on the spiritual path as we move towards opening to our deepest ground. John defines deepest ground as “ungraspable and unfathomable, something we can know intimately as a quality of awareness, unbounded and open.” “When we touch into this,” he continues, “we move from a place of love, peace and groundedness.” In working with students and clients over four decades, John says the presence or absence of ground has been the most important theme. John has a gift for communicating exactly what is most useful for a spiritual practitioner to hear: taking an integral and nondual approach different from traditional psychotherapy, he invites us to evoke presence—welcome the experience, welcome the fear of annihilation—let go of ordinary knowledge and allow a translucent, transformative space to emerge around ordinary mind. Blending archetypal wisdom and guidance with spacious emptiness, John explains that opening to unbounded awareness supports the process of individuation and actualization; he also weaves in an intriguing version of the hero's journey, where the hero emerges from the underground, not as a figure of accomplishment and victory, but as a simple, humble being, void of ego. The rich wisdom and gentle guidance offered here is invaluable, worthy of listening to many a time. Dr Dunton explained that the Phase 2 study was conducted across three sites in Australia, testing the gel in 30 patients. The results showed a 93% cure or improvement rate after two weeks of treatment, with 82% of patients responding positively within the first week. He highlighted the gel's strong efficacy, noting that unlike many antibiotics, R327G did not develop bacterial resistance. Dr Prendergast emphasised that these findings provided confidence as Recce moved toward regulatory approval. He revealed that the upcoming registration Phase 3 trial in Indonesia, originally planned for 300 patients, may achieve meaningful interim data in as few as 100 patients. This could fast-track approval within a shorter timeframe, potentially 12 months. Both executives underscored the clinical potential of R327G, particularly in tackling antibiotic-resistant infections. With its first-in-class synthetic antibiotic properties, the gel could become a game-changer in infection treatment. #ReccePharmaceuticals #ASXRCE #Biotech #ClinicalTrials #Recce327 #Antibiotics #DiabeticFootUlcer #ABSSSI #DrugDevelopment #MedicalResearch #StockMarket

Despite the conflicts and injustices in the news, during this season we're reminded to love and care for our families and neighbors, as well as those we don't even know. I wish health, happiness, and peace to you and your loved ones. Here's my 2011 conversation with John Prendergast and Michael Mattocks. As an emotionally wounded 21-year-old, John formed a “Big Brother/Little Brother” relationship with 7-year-old Michael. We talk about the book they wrote together, UNLIKELY BROTHERS: Our Story of Adventure, Loss, and Redemption, in which they share their experiences over 25 years as their lives intertwine.

How do we sensitize ourselves to this subtle space?  This is our guide's expertise. John shows us how to rest in the heart as a way to appreciate and embody a different way of knowing and relating. We ask our hearts about our core limiting beliefs, and what it might mean to no longer believe them. It's an emotional journey – sincere and raw and often quite beautiful. To go straight to John's 11 minute heart practice, it begins at 8:42 and ends at 20:03.  Links:• John's website: http://listeningfromsilence.comSupport the show (https://www.patreon.com/explorerspod)
