The calls are flooding in as Packers fans process the Matt LaFleur extension and everything that comes with it. Tonight's callers aren't holding back—from Texas to Tennessee to Minnesota, the fanbase is wrestling with mixed emotions about locking in our head coach after a disappointing season. The conversation gets heated when we dive into special teams failures under Rich Bisaccia, the offensive line's complete inability to protect Jordan Love, and the culture problem that has players jumping out of the way instead of finishing blocks. We're also looking ahead to the defensive coordinator search and breaking down which coaches might actually bring the attitude this team desperately needs. But the real fire tonight? The Bears. Ben Johnson's classless behavior has painted a target on Chicago's back, and we're counting down the hours until the Rams hopefully deliver some playoff justice. The Rams had one job—embarrass the Bears and give Packers fans something to celebrate—and they completely imploded instead. Ryan breaks down how Chicago continues to be the luckiest team in the NFL, with Matthew Stafford posting a passing grade in the 20s while Caleb Williams racked up five interceptions across two playoff games yet somehow keeps getting crowned as elite. The show shifts to the Matt LaFleur contract extension and why, despite the frustrating end to the season, keeping him was ultimately the right call. The biggest factor? Jordan Love is essentially a PhD in LaFleur's offensive system, and blowing that up carries enormous risk when the offense wasn't the problem. Ryan also addresses the organizational structure debate and why he doesn't have strong feelings about whether LaFleur reports to Gutekunst or directly to Murphy. Finally, deep dive into Raheem Morris as a potential defensive coordinator candidate. Despite being a hot name with head coaching experience, his track record reveals some concerning trends—his defenses in Atlanta ranked 29th and 12th, and his lone standout year in LA came with Aaron Donald already in place. What was the real reason why Mike Tomlin left the Steelers? Did it have to do with all on-field stuff? Was it the lack of playoff success in the final decade? What was the dynamic between Tomlin and Art Rooney in the end? We still don't know if Tomlin stepped away more for personal reasons or football reasons. The guys talked about the weird motion of Tomlin opting to not do an exit press conference after nearly 2 decades on the sideline. Packers insider Pete Dougherty from the Green Bay Press-Gazette joined the show. Pete thinks the Steelers could be won over by Jeff Hafley and his charisma in the interview process. Pete said it may not be in Pittsburgh, but he would be pretty surprised if Hafley doesn't get a head coach job in this cycle. Will the second half collapse against the Bears impact the Packers' coaches going forward? The phones are melting down and the pain is real. Packers fans flood the lines to process one of the most devastating playoff losses in recent memory as Green Bay blows an 18-point lead to the Bears and watches their season end in heartbreak. Callers unleash raw emotion as they dissect what went wrong in the second half collapse. Ray from Tennessee questions whether Matt LaFleur can instill the discipline this team desperately needs. Aaron from Eau Claire shares the agony of watching surrounded by celebrating Bears fans. Multiple callers demand coaching changes, with special teams and McManus's missed kicks taking heavy fire. Beer Cheese Benny reminds everyone that draft season is the time to dream again. Ryan breaks down the uncomfortable truth: Jordan Love threw four touchdowns with zero interceptions, the offense moved the ball, and there's no logical reason this game should have been lost. The EPA numbers show Green Bay was better in almost every category except special teams, where the Packers posted a brutal -9.9 compared to Chicago's +9.9. The numbers don't lie, and Ryan digs deep into the uncomfortable question every Packers fan is asking: should Matt LaFleur remain as head coach? This episode delivers a comprehensive analytical breakdown using coaching philosophy frameworks, statistical evidence, and observable patterns that paint a concerning picture of Green Bay's direction. Before diving into the coaching analysis, Ryan covers critical injury updates including Zach Tom's partially torn patellar tendon, Devonte Wyatt's broken fibula, Tucker Kraft's rehab progress, and Micah Parsons' emotional recovery comments that raise some red flags. Plus, Mike Tomlin's surprising departure from Pittsburgh after 19 seasons. The heart of the episode examines LaFleur through a rigorous coaching checklist: player development (or lack thereof), operational cleanliness, timeout management (where LaFleur ranks dead last in unnecessary offensive timeouts), and the team's ability to self-correct. The stats are damning—the Packers lost three games when leading by 10+ points in the final five minutes, more than the previous 54 years combined. LaFleur's overall win percentage has dropped from top-three all-time to 16th, and with Jordan Love as starter, he sits at 53rd. Ryan examines whether the program is truly self-correcting or simply dependent on perfect conditions to succeed—and the answer isn't encouraging. This episode is brought to you by PrizePicks! The question nobody can answer: what needs to change to stop the January collapses that have defined this era? This episode is brought to you by PrizePicks! Apologies to all of our Nico Echavarria fans, but this is the biggest Victory Monday episode to date. Andy is on cloud nine following an improbable comeback win for the Bears over the Packers in the Wild Card Round, leading to an extended Football Minute to kick off the show. He attempts to subdue his emotions to be respectful of the many angry Packers fans in his mentions, but Brendan quickly eggs him on into an outward celebration. PJ is called in to defend Jordan Love's actions (323 yards, 4 touchdowns, 0 interceptions) after the loss and Andy once again suggests that Malik Willis (injured hamstring) would have been a better option for Green Bay. All three commiserate over their historically-hapless franchises firing a coach as good as Matt LaFleur, but it seems like that's on the table for the Packers following this defeat. After displaying a chart showing the likelihood of PJ losing his job with a Packers win, Andy then transitions to golf and the biggest news of this NFL-centric weekend: Michael Block's new clothing deal. Brendan can't help but laugh at Blockie linking up with Malbon, giving the brand a roster of Champions Tour stars. Blockie was sure to star in a ridiculous announcement video posted on Saturday afternoon, leading to plenty of social media fun ahead of the Bears game. Andy and Brendan then recap the Jones Cup and LIV's Promotions Event after a light week of competitive golf. Richard T. Lee will be LIV's first Canadian golfer and Malbon athlete Anthony Kim held on to earn a spot back on the tour for 2026. To finish off this final week without the PGA Tour, Andy, Brendan, and PJ make their 2026 major picks and highlight some breakout and bounce-back players for the upcoming season. After a long, long wait, the Opening Drive finally begins on Thursday! Join us in Chicagoland for an SGS Live Show on Thursday, February 12! We'll be hanging out at SPACE in Evanston, Illinois for a night of Q&A, Champs Tour Minute, and plenty of Bears chatter. Mike and Jesse are back to recap a wild NFL Super Wild Card Weekend before diving headfirst into one of the biggest baseball releases of the year in Bowman Draft. The guys react to the market fallout from the playoffs, discussing Caleb Williams flipping the narrative to clutch leader, why Jordan Love might be a smart buy with Micah Parsons returning, and why Mike argues you couldn't pay him to touch Justin Herbert cards right now after a pathetic showing. They also touch on Sam Darnold's potential upside with a matchup against the 49ers coming up and Drake Maye's debut. Then, Aram Leighton from Just Baseball joins the show to preview 2025 Bowman Draft and explain why the pricing, over $750 for Hobby boxes and nearly $1,000 for the new Breaker's Delight SKU feels totally out of whack for a class considered weaker than last year's. Aram and the guys break down the top chases, including Nationals shortstop Eli Willits, high-upside Pirates pitcher Seth Hernandez, and other top prospects like Kade Anderson and Tyler Bremner. They also dive deep into the sleepers and value picks you need to know, such as Blue Jays infielder Jojo Parker, the Cubs' Ethan Conrad, and why the Tigers' trio of Kevin McGonigal, Jordan Yost, and Michael Olavetto might make Detroit the best break value in the product. Finally, the guys wrap up by discussing the unique Sadaharu Oh retrofractor chase, deciphering the confusing new "Super Jumbo" wax configuration. They then open the mailbag to address questions about grading companies, specifically why TAG and BGS still struggle to overtake PSA's market dominance. They also discuss the impact of LeBron James' new "23rd Season" jersey patch on future card values and whether coaching changes can actually move the hobby needle. Learn more about your ad choices. What a start to the NFL postseason. In the early window, the Los Angeles Rams held off the Carolina Panthers in a game that was wayyyyy too close for comfort for Sean McVay and LA. In the end, it was Matthew Stafford's late heroics that bailed the Rams out of an embarrassing loss to Bryce Young and the scrappy Panthers -- further cementing the QB's MVP narrative. In Chicago, the Bears hosted the Green Bay Packers and staged one of the most epic comebacks in NFL playoff history. Caleb Williams was faced with a 15-point deficit in the fourth quarter, but the Bears still had some magic left in the tank, as Chicago triumphed over Jordan Love and Green Bay in the Wild Card Round. Gregg Rosenthal and ESPN's Bill Barnwell provide recap and analysis of the day's action, with every stat, narrative and major highlight along the way.NFL Daily YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/nflpodcastsSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
